Great Food, Apathetic (Bold, Italic, Underline) Service.
After letting a few months pass by since my last visit, I decided to give Tandoor a second chance--good news is they are consistent with both their food and service. One good, the other terrible.
Last time I tried to order something I found on their online menu, which they didn't make anymore and got very testy about the whole ordeal--a great first impression to say the least. This time I timed how long it took to interact with me after being seated (15 minutes). I shouldn't forget to mention that it took an intense stare down to get the attention of the waiter on staff who kept disappearing to God knows where. He kind of hated me for the rest of my visit there, but c'mon, all I expect of a waiter is to occasionally check and see if I have a pulse from time to time or would like an appetizer (and frankly, a samosa sounded pretty damn good!)
Once the food came it looked awesome! After the "shade" thrown at me by the waiter, I was half expecting some microwaved concoction or visible spit in my dish--neither of which were present. My Kadhai Chicken dish, which I ordered Medium spicy (To Minnesotan standards--shoulda gone full on hot) was flavorful and had the ginger flavor that took me back to my favorite Indian restaurants out east that gave a damn about their customers.
There are places in the cities that serve good Indian food and also treat their customers like guests--this isn't one of 'em: Skip!!
