A rare remnant Fort Worth Prairie with spring wildflowers and dawn-to-dusk access, free. Supported by the city and volunteer stewards, it’s praised by naturalists for biodiversity and seasonal color—an eye-opening counterpoint to the urban core.

Tandy Hills is such a hidden gem tucked right into the heart of Fort Worth. I loved the winding trails and peaceful vibes—it’s the kind of spot you’d never expect to find in the middle of a neighborhood. Great for a quick solo reset, nature walk, or content day when you want scenic views without driving far. Definitely a new favorite for local hikes!

As a photographer, this hill is so beautiful during sunrise and sunset. A gorgeous place for natural theme pictures.

Had no idea this place existed until doing senior photos, the photographer suggested it. Really nice park with a lot of space. Playgrounds and water fountain near the street, with large open fields and wooded hiking trails going back away from the road. There is just street parking so I could see it being tough to park, but I don’t know how many people know this park exists.

*EDIT* The map on AllTrails is now accurate. This may be true for other apps, but AllTrails is the one I use. This is an amazing hiking spot just 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth. It's pretty hilly, and because of that the trails get very muddy when it rains. The trail map is so inaccurate, it's basically useless. Despite these faults, I have an amazing hike every time I come here. The views are picturesque and the trails are challenging but fun. If you enjoy being lost in nature just minutes from the city, this is your spot.

We always enjoy hiking the trails at Tandy Hills. But today was spectacular with all the wildflowers! That land is truly special with so many native species in just that small area! Really beautiful.

Beautiful untouched area close to the city. This is rare. Easy to navigate, just as easy to get lost but that's part of the adventure. Encountered wild animal tracks as well as signs of street folks making this place their home. Just wish everyone practiced 'leave no trace' will do my part and bring a trash bag to do a little beautification next hiking trip here. Did a evening hike to see the sun set and it was perfect. Felt safe the whole time and the moon provided more than enough light.

Loved the trails, but the only downside is the trash left behind.

It's a beautiful area to go for a hike. There are plenty of trails to choose from. When you get deeper into some of the trails, they do become a little overgrown. You shouldn't let that deter you from enjoying this beautiful area.
