Cute mall! Love going to the movies and then walking around to see whats new. The anime stores, the boba, the fruit teas, the ice cream, the food 😍 While its fairly smaller the Skyview Mall they are at walking distance. Visit both!

Really nice mall to shop and eat, so many food options, very clean and well kept. The movies is nice too and lots of staff constantly making rounds, very space for kids also, parking is just kind of annoying. ReMember your level & wear comfy shoes

Fun place to go for shopping, food and movies! The food court/night market area was definitely the best part. The whole mall isn't too big though, you can probably explore it all in 2 hours or less.

This mall is great i’d say! There are food places and cute stores to shop at. The pop up stores on the first floor are so cute!!! Price may be a bit from $10-20 but definitely worth it! Mini-so is a great store with much cute things like plushies,supplies,home essentials and a bit of snacks. There is a anime store in there too and not bad but price is a bit much( i mean for anime tho, i’m not much interested in anime but if u are then i’m sure u will like it a lot since my friends are anime people and they watch it a lot).The are raffles in there as well with prices around $16-20. The food court is very nice and usually a chill place to hang with friends or do work at. a lot of seats. They have triangle wraps,corn dogs, noodle, egg tart place, and an Angry Bird Cafe which is very cool. Also an ice cream/ shaved ice store which has nice varies of matcha ice creams! Meet Fresh is a nice chill cool hang area and very quiet with good music. They sell drinks and shaved ice. Hope this review helps😀

If you are looking for a family-friendly place where you want to experience a different afternoon, this is the place. The shopping center has several restaurants and a food fair upstairs. The desserts at the Angry Birds restaurant are delicious and affordable. The March ice cream is FABULOUS. Some shops still need to open but it's not bad if you want to go and have something to eat in peace.

Not my kind of mall. Had time to kill so came to explore this mall. Eh.... It's not my style. Not my kind of mall. It has a few toy stores catering to Anime and other Asian children's toys like Sanrio. ❤ Sanrio, HUGE Hello Kitty girl. And yet, still not my thing. They have mainly want to be high end food shops. Kura revolving 🍣 for one. Been to their Fort Lee location a few times. The novelty of the conveyor belt rotating around wasn't a novelty for long and died an extremely quick death. Hunt up my review of them to find more details. Bottom line, when I'm craving sushi and sashimi, there are better places to go. As a matter of fact, I was meeting with a gf last month, and she suggested this as one of the places for us to eat at. I told her PASS. We prefer HotPot and thats what we had. There is a hot pot restaurant right next door. Looked good. Might actually give them a try next time I'm in the hot pot shabu shabu mood. Their promotion of spending $500 and getting $49 bonus is extremely lame for lack of a better word. Why the heck would I deposit $500 up front to get a measly $49 bonus? Like I have a spare $500 lying around that's just sitting here collecting dust bunnies.. I would have to had a lobotomy to do that. Eating $549 of shabu shabu would take me about 2 years minimum. Would the restaurant still be there in 3 years? This would be beneficial if it were a party of 10, @ $50 pp. It's not as though hot pot is something that has to be eaten out. It can be done in the comfort of home. The decorations are pretty though.

Excellent. Clean sparkling. Movie theater clean. Food is all up to par . Good to excellent varies between your food of choice . Asian malls are far more well executed than standard American malls . This place you can shop cute and fun things

This was a well-designed interior mall with beautiful architecture. However, it is very obvious from spending one minute here that it is still in the process of fully-opening as many stores are not open. It was also extremely crowded and a lot of the restaurants had wait times close to 1 hour. I ended up leaving the mall entirely to eat elsewhere and then returned later to see a movie in the Regal cinema. Overall though, the mall looks promising. The restaurants, stores, interiors, and decorations look modern and stylish and when more spots open up, I can definitely see it attracting an even larger crowd in the near future. For now though, I wouldn't expect anyone to spend a whole day here.

Tangram is undoubtedly part of the new Flushing, which has been perpetually under construction for the better part of the last decade. Despite this ambitious project lasting several years and a pandemic, they managed to modernize the neighborhood and capitalize on the subsequent gentrification. Ultimately, it has become one of the crowning retail jewels in all of NYC. Tangram has a little bit of everything for everyone: an enormous amount of space, stores galore, high rise condos, countless events, abundant food options, a swimming school, office spaces and even a theater. I've heard that it's not even officially done yet, with plans to launch a hotel and additional luxury residential spaces. It's only a couple of years old at this point, but time will tell how it'll hold up given the volume of people coming through. NYC has a tendency to churn up places real quick, so I hope massive upkeep in maintenance isn't going to be too much for the building. The only lowlights for me at the moment is the small'ish food court and the super expensive parking for retail guests. Right now the various events happening at Hoi Polloi (#2) and the atrium of the mall are keeping things interesting. Additionally, I appreciate the full fledged restaurant options and hope there is more on the horizon. Not a huge mall, but great place to escape the heat in the summer. There were mostly restaurants/food stalls and a few toy stores and miscellaneous stores; there were not a lot of clothing stores or chain retail brands. Not sure I'd purposely go back, but I don't regret ending up here.

I have been here a few times, and I already miss it. The mall isn't too big, yet there is so much for you to do and buy. My favorite has to be the claw machine/arcade here called Gatcha. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I remember when the space Tangram is currently located in used to be Flushing Mall. This space was the first in Flushing to offer a diverse range of shops, food counters, and entertainment. Flushing Mall was officially closed in 2015. In 2022, Tangram opened and is very modern looking and clean. Tangram is a two-leveled retail podium and a culinary destination with different vendors in the Food Hall and throughout Tangram. There are plenty of tables and benches inside. Other retail stores include Miniso, Goldfish swim school, Orangetheory Fitness, and Regal Cinema. There's going to be even more businesses in the future, a lot of coming soon signs. Tangram is always decorated for the holidays. There are different events held in the atrium as well. From February 8 to 14, 2024, Lady M and ROYCE have a pop-up boutique. For a fee, there is a parking lot for guests. I highly recommend visiting Tangram located in the heart of Downtown Flushing. It's a great place to hangout with your friends and families. Every time I come visit, I enjoy Tangram more and more.

Small mall, with lots of stores and eats of Asian cuisine! Come here hungry! A bit limited with options for shopping clothing, goods, etc. They decorate beautifully for the holidays. Some elevators there don't work to get to the parking lot. There's also a fee for the parking lot.

The mall stepped up its game. I had blasted at TVB星星閃聚Summertime Event at Tangram. This is the first time they did a Meet and greet with TVB celebrities Hera Chan 陳曉華, Matthew Ho 何廣沛, and Jarvis Chow 周奕瑋. It was well organized. Thank you for organizing this event. I look forward to more events in the future.

Great mall in Flushing to visit. The area is nice with a lot of lighting and there are plenty of seats surrounding the mall. There are also a lot of fun activities to do and unique places, such as a movie theater, an anime store, and even a clothing store for pets. I would say that it's definitely a niche mall that's not for everyone and probably would appeal more to younger folks. Stores like Miniso have a lot of cutesy things that some people might not be into. I wish there were more clothing store options since a lot of the stores are merch based. It does get kind of boring visiting the same stores again, especially when not a lot has changed and the selection stays the same. The food court is still one of my favorites. There are various food options and a lot of them are pretty famous, such as JoJu, Matcha Cafe Maiko, or Kura. They even have a HK cafe-based restaurant there, which is nice. Like someone else mentioned, it's definitely more of a place for foodies than shoppers. Looking forward to seeing how Tangram improves over the future since there seems to be various new stores that are opening. The pop-up events are also really nice since it helps to add something new every once in a while.

This is a cute little mall in Flushing! I came here several times during my time in town for the AIR CONDITIONING! In the summer, this was truly a safe haven. The food court is very modern and yes, many of the businesses still prefer cash. Some offerings are: banh mi, Thai food, egg tarts, AND an Angry Birds cafe! The food is pretty unique and fun to explore. The mall itself also has 4 boba shops! Talk about variety. There's fun events they host here like Big Apple Comic Con, MOCANYC Exhibits, etc. They have a movie theater, swim school, and some retail - but mostly restaurants!

I was looking forward to visiting Tangram Mall for the last few months. It's basically a food hall. There is a little bit of shopping, other than food, but not much. My favorite store was Miniso. If you are looking for something other than eating this might not be for you. The food court and restaurants are quite nice though.

Good hangout spot with lots of restaurants and now a food court too! Nice and clean, a great addition in flushing! There's a movie theater, lots of tea shops and stores you can check out. Good food options too with the food court. Parking is convenient downstairs too.

New and neat mall. I paid $6 for less tan 2 hours indoor self parking. Inside has: -Regal movie theater -Goldfish swimming school - Funzy kids playplace ( 9 years and under). Can join member or $36 for 2 hours. - miniso : stuff animals and daily merchandise - Akiba house: feel of Japanese Anime - Food Hall: more fusion feel. - Angry bird cafe: merchandise and bakery. Nice seating area. - Honorable mentioned: Macha Cafe Maiko: famous for the gold macha soft serve $13. I got a maiko special with Ube icecream. It was good. Plenty of seating. Too bad free Tangram Wifi wasn't working. I couldn't log on.

Great food hall kinda of mall with a variety of things to try from an actual food hall to single restaurants that you can eat as well. Located in a central area of Flushing and very busy at night.

The mall is slowly coming along with more store opening every few months. I went on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded. Love the Christmas decorations. The mall consists of 2 floors including a Regal movie theater, restaurants and stores. Many stores and restaurants have open since last Summer. There are still many stores not open so it still looks empty. I am hoping when more stores open, it will be higher energy and buzz in the mall. The food court is in the back which is out of the way unless you walk back there. Can't wait to check it out when more restaurants and stores are open.

There is a lot of potential here at the new Tangram Mall. While several businesses have opened and the food court is now available, it falls a bit short. Tangram is not a place to shop; it's a place for foodies to unite. First, the parking. Come early in the morning and you'll have plenty of choices to find parking and navigate the lot comfortably. It's smaller than some mall parking lots we've been to and some areas can be confusing when you look for the exit. Paid with a credit card to access the lot. When you leave, there are validation kiosks near the elevator and doors for payment. Use the same credit card you entered with and you'll get a printed receipt with barcode to scan at the exit. Simple and convenient process overall but the credit card contactless method didn't work for us upon entering the lot. I hope Tangram begins their hours earlier for both retail and food. Kids were hungry by 11 but most places were still prepping or closed. By the time 12pm rolled around, everyone had the same idea and was hunkered down waiting for the food stalls to open and it was chaos after that. Along with the food court, there is a hot pot place on the second floor, a dessert spot, and a bubble tea spot. We tried the korean hot dog stall, coocoocachoo chicken, iMilky, and Meet Fresh. All were delicious. But come with lots of patience. The lines are long, wait times are 10-20 minutes for certain food items at select stalls due to the nature of it being freshly prepared. The one stall I noticed that had fluid movement and kept at a great pace was JoJu. We didn't get sandwiches because we had it at a different location the evening before but they were a very popular stall and had the most interest/customers from what we could see. They kept that line moving - very impressive. Churning out items fast and effortlessly. Their menu is smaller than their storefront locations. The mall is pretty, love the newness of it but can't help wondering if they fully utilized the potential of this place. Still several empty storefronts. Visited Miniso but encountered the unfriendly employee referenced in many other reviews. She didnt make it a great shopping experience even if we wanted to buy something at 11am in the morning. Overall, lots of possibilities here and endless choices for bubble tea. It's a family friendly place to visit and the photo opp areas are adorable but hope it picks up with more retail stores.

Visitors to this website will be interested in just the Tangram shopping mall section. The building itself is a large housing development with office space and residential condos. I was here about a year ago when the movie theater first opened and the rest of the shopping area was still under construction. As it stands now, the shopping mall section is fully functional and definitely worth a look. A lot of retail spaces remain vacant though with many "Coming Soon" posters but in another year, that should change. Besides the movie theater, the shopping mall is only two floors and is actually not very big. It's even smaller than the Sky View mall. It is mainly the food court, Hoi Polloi (a very cool bar), bubble tea shops, a few full service restaurants, and the movie theater. What I like is that you will not find any American chains here. These are all Asian or Asian-American based companies that are hard to find elsewhere. In summary, the mall is worth it if you are looking for a new, shiny place for some food and drinks.

This is the site of a new retail mall located inside the Tangram Condominiums on 39th a short walk from Main Street. Many shops and restaurants are not opened yet. Spacious and clean. When finish, there is a food court retail shops, restaurants, a Regal Movie theater and an i for kids swim facility. Free public WiFi and clean bathrooms now. There will s also Funzy, the indoor play center. There will be something for everyone at this mall when finished. Looking forward to seeing this place fully opened with all the hustle & bustle of a busy mall! Will update my review at that time.

Tangram is coming along. Every week there is a little more. I hope one day this is going to be even more amazing! Stores tend to make a mall. There is a parking lot. There are instagramable picture backgrounds. The movie theater has a bar.

So I was in Flushing, Queens at the Tangram mall for the first ever Cosmic Con and it was an interesting day for sure. While the convention was being held on their second floor in a rear event space area, I made some time to walk around and see what else was there to be enjoyed. In the lower lobby they had a stage set up to help celebrate the Lunar New Year and all sorts of performances were going on. We saw traditional dancers, singers and even an awesome lion dance. The crowd was massive for this because Chinese New Year is definitely a big deal when being done in this neighborhood. Though I didn't get to fully explore since I needed to spend time at the convention I can say that there is a Regal movie theatre in there that seems to be showing not only the latest hit films but also many culturally specific Asian films and some Japanese anime features. The space still seems to be on the new side as many spots where one would find a store says "Coming Soon" so I am hopeful that as we continue to move ahead in the post-pandemic world that more shops and cafes will look into using Tangram as a space. There was a noodle house that had quite the crowd and I am definitely interested in trying hot pot one of these days. I didn't detect an open WiFi in the mall so I'd recommend that they do this on the quick since its going to attract the kind of crowd that are all about their Instagram Reels and TikToks. As a matter of fact I saw a number of those being done in the general area. This work in progress space has some work to do yet but that's to be expected. I don't get to Flushing all that much but hope to be there again and when I do I will be sure to give a second look.

Good and spacious mall. Very modern feel to it and seems like a great place to work out. They have a great variety of Asian based stores and restaurants which is really nice. The lighting is bright and there is plenty of places to sit down. The bathrooms are a bit off center to be honest but that may be on purpose. You could probably spend a whole day here just eating, browsing, playing etc.

Only posting about the mall and the parking lot. The mall isn't really open yet as of May 2022. A few shops are open (e.g. Meet Fresh, Cuppa Tea), which are accessible from outside the mall, but that's about it. Escalators are not operational, parking lot is open and accessible by elevators. Some of the parking lot machines are faulty and not operational though. I saw a few people having difficulty paying by card at the machines.

Excellent world class shopping mall apartment venue. Has plenty to do including exercise, food, shopping, and theatre. Enjoy

Cool new mall that is evolving with new stores and eateries. A bit crazy with kids running all around. Not a lot of seating for the eateries. Some unique places.

One of the newest mall to open up in the Flushing area. It's not really that busy yet, but there's also a handful of stores still under construction. There's nice seating areas in the center of the facility and plenty of IG worthy setup for those poses, all of course is a marketing scheme to bring more attention to Tangram. And it needs the attention as the mall for sure has not reached its full potential.

Given the advertisements, I expected more but it feels like half of this development is still waiting to get up and running. If you want to buy bubble tea, let the kids run around, and to see three open shops, you'll be fine. Otherwise, it feels like a lot of hassle to park (the lot is very confusing and some of the ticket machines don't work so you have to find one that does work to pay and get out), and then visit for such a small selection of offerings. The space is pretty and they decked things out for the holiday but for now it remains more space than anything else.

This mall is huge. It's perfect for parents, teens, and anyone who just wants to go out. Parents can take their child to learn to swim while they go eat, shop, or watch a movie in 4DX. There is a lot of seating and it's spacious enough that you're not bumping into anyone if it's not crowded. The only reason I took off one star is due to the bathroom not being well maintained. In the women's bathroom only 2 stalls really had toilet paper. Imagine if it was crowded. There are also some things that have yet to open but worthy coming back for when it does open.

This mall has become one of my go-to's when I'm with my friends in the area. The food court has a variety of options, from drinks to sweets to savory foods. There's also a lot of new stores, which have anime-like items. This is a great place to check out if you are into those things. The parking here is under the building and is cheap compared to the other mall rates I've seen,

DO NOT GO HERE! Today Tangram had an event for the kids for Easter. It was from 12-3, and we were told that in order to participate in any of the events, we had to spend $20. After doing so myself and other parents waited over 2 HOURS for our children to get their faces painted to then be told it ended at 3. My daughter is so upset, and I'm pretty upset too. You don't do that to little kids! We waited a LONG time, a really long time for kids, and for nothing?! This mall isn't even kid friendly. I hope it goes under in a year; most of it is empty anyway.

If you're in an adventurous mood for food, definitely visit! There is a food court along with stand-alone food/dessert places as well. It's a food mall. So don't expect to come here in hopes to shop if it isn't for food! It does seem like retail stores will be opening in the future so definitely something to keep an eye on!

Tangram is a mixed-used building, where the bottom half consists of businesses while the upper half consists of apartment suits. The food hall is on the ground and basement floor. I came here to order a banh mi at Joju, which is at the back of the building. The lobby receptionist asked me where I was heading as guests will have to write into a guest book in order to enter the businesses. When I went to Joju, I realized that the building have taken over the places that used to belong to the small businesses that were along College Point Ave.

Was seeing an influx of social media posts about a place called Tangram out in Flushing. Was intriguing enough so I figured why not check it out. Minus being a bit of a trek the overall venue/mall was underwhelming and disappointing. Looks like a lot of construction still going on and I would say maybe half or so of the space is still vacant. Really just reminds me of the dying trends of malls despite it being a newer venue. Everything is painted white so it throws you into this outdated feel of malls back in the day. There wasn't really much going on other than a few restaurants, stores and a bar, but overall experience so far was not exciting or worth the trek for.

Very clean and spacious mall. When we came, we really wanted to check out the food court. But it was empty/dead. We had seen videos online of the food court that hyped it up but maybe we came on an off day? It was around lunch time on a weekend and only 1 or 2 stalls were open. The stores in the mall are nice and not the typical stores that you would see in a regular mall.

Was once stood the old Flushing Mall in Flushing into one really good and nice mall that is being built so big! I definitely missed the old Flushing Mall that it used to give me back childhood memories eating and shopping there with my mom and sister! Sadly, it was closed and demolished for good! :( First impression, it looks really nice, beautiful, gorgeous and clean! When I went inside today by all myself, it looks like it's almost open! I can't wait to see new stores and food to be open hopefully by the end of this year or the beginning of next year! I definitely look forward to shopping and eating there once it gets fully opened! :)

This new mall is located in the heart of Flushing, very convenient location - close to subway, LIRR, Skyview shopping mall and restaurants. It is newly renovated, bright and spacious inside. Only some of the stores / food options are open at this point and still have lots of vacant spaces inside. The food and drink are very pricy (at least 15-20% higher than other places nearby), but fair quality. The food hall includes a several food selections for consideration, but they are more like snacks type of food. The parking is also a rip off too. I will not go again until the mall is fully operated.

First impression, beautiful mall! Brightly lit, clean, and spacious, with a fresh modern-contemporary interior style and design. Altogether, very stunning place. That said, also very disappointing experience. My sister and I arrived at Tangram Retail today, bright and early, around 10, hoping to visit some of their retail stores and restaurants, for food and drinks and to buy gifts for a classmate. Unfortunately, while the mall itself was open at 10, many of the stores and restaurants inside were not. Just to give a few examples: - Regal Cinemas opens at 11. - Miniso opens at 11*. - Juqi opens at 11:30**. - Meet Fresh opens at 12. - Cuppa Tea opens at 12. - Machi Machi opens at 12. - Shoo Loong Kan Hotpot opens at 12. *The store directory on Tangram's website says 10, but this is inaccurate. **The store directory on Tangram's website says 11, but the hours of operation have been revised recently. In short, when we arrived at 10, nothing was open. To make matters worse (or at least more inconvenient), not all of the stores had hours of operation listed on Tangram's store directory; we had to physically walk from one store to another to find out their hours of operation. Furthermore, for some stores (e.g. Meet Fresh), the storefront gates were rolled down, so googling their hours of operation was the only method possible. We ended up staying at Tangram until a little past 11, waiting for Miniso to open because we didn't want to leave empty-handed. Anyways, lesson learned: go to Tangram after 12. I look forward to visiting again when the food hall fully opens (I especially can't wait for Matcha Cafe Maiko and I'Milky among others!). This mall is still quite new. It is bright and clean. Lots of restaurants inside. You come to this mall to eat because it seems like there are more restaurants and dessert shop here than regular retail store.

Super cute mall and food court! We've been a couple of times. First time had amazing bah mi and rice balls. The second time we had dinner and movie. The theater was beautifully designed but the chairs in theater three were a bit small.

Extremely beautiful and well lit mini mall! Interesting variety of stores and definitely might be a higher price point than traditional stores on Main street. The layout of the place is like the inside of a beehive or The Guggenheim, like an inward spiral. A lot of space but also inconvenient if you need to visit stores that are not near each other The food court is a fun place to visit, lots of lights and there's a big bar all the way in the back. Also a movie theater!

New mall very spacious but small, still in development and a-lot of the stores open around 12. Can be a place to just sit and chat with friends. Not that many things yet but excited to see the future of it.

Tangram has a sleek design and is a great spot for taking photos, but the food hall had limited options for lunch and mostly offered snacks and drinks. I appreciate that they host events here, though it would be great if they had more options for lunch. There is a nearby parking lot with metered spots. I've also reviewed the individual spots I visited at Tangram. It's nice to see that they have a movie theater and swimming classes starting in mid-February. But, it was disappointing to see that there were gender specific restrooms but no family room.

Attended a kids event for Easter egg hunt at Tangram Condominiums Lobby. This event was actually advertised via news letter/online sites as well as through Yelp's events page. The details stated for pre-register online through email to guarantee tickets. I did as instructed, but never got a reply email back. Got there 40 minutes before event start time and was told everyone has to stand in the line to wait for entrance tickets. This goes back to the point about pre-registration through email-if it's to count the amount of attendees than I get that, but all parents (mostly non-English) were left scratching our heads. Then there's Vip tickets, what in the world is that? Apparently, some parents entered early and won some kind of raffle game. None of this was listed in the online invite. Soon all parents and kids got the tickets and walked down to the basement lobby, where six booths were set up to hand out easter trinkets and Cotton candy to all the happy children attendees. There were lots of pastel balloons for kids to take pictures. Lines for each booths were orderly and well done. DJ booth spin some really good music to get everyone dancing. Went to Tangram's July 4th celebration event in the atrium with my younger cousins. There were games set up for the kids such as jenga and cornhole. They also had a crafts table with a variety of crafts for the kids to choose from and separate tables for them to sit at. The stilt walkers were very popular among the kids and the DJ filled the atrium with good music. The DJ was giving out hats and leis. The event ended with a confetti cannon that everyone loved. My younger cousins stayed the entire duration of the event and had a really good time. Looking forward to more Tangram events!

this is a new mall in flushing. it has been opened for a few months but the food court is pretty new and they're opening stores little by little. the only shopping stores u can find inside are miniso, a shoe store and that's it. it's mostly chinese restaurants, a food court and at the entrance they're doing a lady m and royce chocolate pop up for lunar new year. the food court is pretty cool and has good variety of food. my favorite was Joju, a viet sw kiosk and Na tart, their portuguese egg tart kiosk.

We were literally in the parking lot for 2 minutes and when we tried to leave they charged us $6... Most parking lots at least give you grace periods.

The mall is a nice place to relax during a summer day with opening seating. Although there are stores to be added, there is a good variety of many Asian cuisine. Interesting design and layout of the mall, took me a while to get an understanding of the place. It definitely has the potential to be something even better, still being in its earlier stages.
