Tanit

"The design of this restaurant is a real talking point with its striking entrance, modern high-ceilinged interior, polished concrete floors and wood-panelled walls, along with intelligent use of natural light. Spanish chef Oscar Bosch creates technically skilled, carefully presented Mediterranean dishes which are adapted to Brazilian tastes, alongside local specialities. Its signature tapas, varied rice dishes and popular roast suckling pig are all worthy of particular praise." - Michelin Inspector

The place was small but one of the best restaurants I have tried while travelling around the world. The place is hip and well designed. They are Michelin recommended as well. The dishes were delicious with fusion of flavour and ingredients. Every dish we tried was excellent and mouth watering. You can feel every ingredient with each bite. The Octopus on black rice was my number one choice. The grilled shrimps were so so delicious in the garlic wine sauce. Make sure to make reservation before going.

The food was good, some dishes normal and others excellent. Cost x benefit is reasonable, but not great. There are other Michelin restaurants with better sized portions x value than this one. Finally, there was a hair in my food. No one ever apologized. The waiter simply said by the end of lunch “I removed one of the deserts from the check”… well, let me clearly state something: a hair in my MAIN COURSE plate doesn’t goes away with a 20 reais discount in my meal… that’s ridiculous. PS: I would not return.

Awesome food and service! Tapas with a Brazilian twist. They didn’t have a table right away and we sat next to the bar then moved to a window table. Cocktails were amazing - recommend Mare Nostrum. Patatas bravas were actually fried yucca slices - an amazing combo. Desserts were also excellent - we were impressed by the tangerine ice cream and chocolate assortment! Highly recommend!!!

Great Tapas place! The food was very good, I started with the Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico, a little salty but al the fusion in a single bite was very good. The Costillas de Cerdo were very good, just a little dry, I think they can take them out of the oven 4 minutes before to have better meat, but the glaze was just perfect. For dessert, the Espuma de Crema Catalana was just A MA ZING. If I had more room in my stomach, I certanly has a second one. The service at the begginng was not even good, I think that the waiter was in a bad day. At the middle of my meal he left and the rest of the crew was just amazing. Great place to go before some drinks for the afternoon.

Very crowded means very good restaurant. Tanit is one of the most trending restaurant in São Paulo. Food is amazing. Every starter is great and the main dishes are awesome. Hard to choose due so many options. Octopus is amazing, Ox tail is unbelievable. The desert could be better. Some room for improvement. The location and ambience is very cozy. Once you in São Paulo, add it to your list!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Sao Paulo. My wife and I have dined here a few times, and each visit has been top notch. There is a strong focus on flavor here, from innovative small bites to well balanced mains. No matter the dish, you are always wanting to go back for another bite. We would highly recommend the tuna cones, the black rice crisp, and the steak tar tar on bone marrow. My wife also rates their gazpacho as one of the best she's ever had (and she is a graduate of LCB Paris so much more qualified than me). The service is prompt, and the drink selection is just as exquisite as the food. By the way, if you're mainly looking to drink, they have a bar next door called Nit. This place certainly deserves a Michelin Star as we would rate it above several places in the city with that distinction. Be sure to visit!

Best food I've had in Sao Paulo, even better Spanish food than I've had in the UK. However it's surprising that none of the waiters could speak English at such a high end restaurant.

Best place during short stay in Sao Paolo when considering the quality and finesse of the dishes, including the chocolate dessert. Tapas to share are also very nicely presented and taste great. We were a bit squeezed, but this adds to the athmosphere so didn't disturb. All in all a place to not skip if you wanna go out with a group of friends and like enjoying originally prepared food together. The Chilean Carmenere was delicious by the way. Thanks a lot.

Yelp
Imagined by the husband/wife team of Óscar and Bia Bosch, TANIT brings Spanish sensibilities to São Paulo from a man whose resume includes the likes of Hof van Cleve, El Celler de Can Roca and El Bulli. Opened in May of 2016 and earning a Michelin Star since Brazil's inaugural guide, an elegant space bathed in natural light welcoming diners for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday, it is once past the streetside patio and wood-paneled entrance that diners are seated, servers fluent in English happily assisting with the Portuguese menu. Part "tapas," but also offering full-size plates amenable to any size party, many guests will be found sipping one of several unique Cocktails, Cachaca expectedly featured alongside other Spirits in concoctions such as "Spice Charum" with piquant Powder suspended above smooth Rum and Citrus. Not exactly fusion, but carefully adapting Catalonian tastes to the Brazilian palate, it was not long after opening that all seats were filed, a procession of plates beginning with fried Confit Duck and followed by Squid Ink Rice Crackers topped in Breaded Shrimp, Avocado and Hot Sauce. Cooking inside a surprisingly small kitchen, Chef Bosch on the line with his team throughout a ninety minute stay, it was in succession that plates three and four arrived, TANIT's Salt Cod dazzling when dipped in gingered Sauce while fried Potato rounds saw traditional Patatas Bravas upgraded by Chorizo Ragu. Gifted two Tuna Cones prior to Dessert, the same Ginger Aioli offered alongside Bosch's Bunuelos here lending the Tartare an Asian accent, it was on the server's recommendation that sweets started with Chocolate, a plate titled "Gianduja" offering a deconstructed idea of Italy's famous Spread with the Hazelnut Pastry and thick Ganache particularly noteworthy. Finishing strong, Óscar's time with Jordi Roca and Albert Adria clearly evidenced by Desserts that succeed despite limited sweetness thanks to balanced textures, flavors and temperature, it would be a mistake to pass on either "Milho" or "Torrija," the former a feather-light taste of Summer until spoon meets Ice Cream while the fried French Toast is heavier but equally impressive as concentrated Sherry plays off Peanuts and Coffee.

Yelp
I was brought here by my colleagues in Brazil for a business dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious and innovative dishes at this restaurant. The previous week to this, I had visited Michelin Star rated Casa Mono in New York City and this restaurant far surpassed this restaurant in quality, ambiance and cost performance. My favorite dishes were the octopus (not pictured), the fish in an artichoke sauce and the shrimp on the rice cracker. I would definitely return if I lived in São Paulo and recommend it to those looking for a nice Spanish dinner in São Paulo.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Sao Paulo. Got a table for 2 at 2030 on Tuesday without a reservation. The couvert is $15. The cocktails are good, but neither innovative nor outstanding. We got the Aged negori Jerez and the Apple lemongrass. For dinner we got the Leitaozinho (pork) and the Cordeiro. The dish components blended together extremely well. They were both extremely good, but we preferred the Leitaozinho because it had a crunchy component. For dessert we got the banana caramelizada and the pera which were both outstanding. We preferred the banana caramelizada.

Yelp
Tasty food. Great atmosphere. I have tried the beet gnocchi and it was delicious. The only downside is that it gets pretty noisy.
