"This new happy hour is a Friday-only event, but it’s a good one. From 5 p.m.-7 p.m., drink Tank’s own beer ($3) and wine ($5), cocktails ($7), and bar bites like $1 oysters and arancini with brisket ($5)" - Ellen Fort, Caleb Pershan

"A great choice for larger groups, this urban winery offers dinner Wednesday through Saturday in its large SoMa space. Sample its proprietary beer and wine with a low-key menu of snacks and shareable items, from fries with tahini to fried chicken with herb salad and chili sauce. Order a la carte or go for the very affordable prix fixe, a five-course family-style menu at $39 per person (couples choose five menu items to share, larger groups choose eight)." - Ellen Fort

This is a late review. Went there for an event from my apartment complex. we were invited to check out tank18 and their food&drinks, so I cant complain too mch. Food was very good. Specially the steak bites. Drinks were fancy and well made. the place looked amazing, i could see it even as a wedding reception venue. The prices seem a bit steep for the regular person, so i think this is more of an event/company sponsored happy hour place. As for the service, the day we went there were more than 100 people, and the pacing of the food was really subpar. At the begining we got to try several dishes, but once the place started to fill up, people had to almost jump onto the waiters to grab a bite, so it became a bit unpleasant. I wonder if for weddings they would increase the pace by at least 10 times, otherwise i would not pay the money they ask.

I had the Merlot. It was a little acidic on the front end but had a strong oak finish with a bold fruit flavor, not dry at all...very nice. I ordered the cheese platter and fried chicken. The curry aioli dip for the chicken was awesome. The service at the bar was pretty good for a Friday night given there was a large Corp. Party there when I arrived. All in all it was a good experience, looking forward to the "full entree selections" on the menu starting in July '18. The bathrooms were clean and well designed, the kitchen staff were friendly and open to answer all my questions.

Whiskey Buck ✔️ - bourbon & ginger beer + M&T ✔️ - mezcal & house green pepper tonic The industrial vibe is really cool. It’s spacious which accommodates large and small groups. The brunch looks amazing, definitely coming back.

It was great. Good service. Good food. About $30 per person. There is a lot of space and not too busy which is really refreshing in San Francisco. You can breeze and hear each other. It's great. The only negative point to me was the cookies were really sad and bad. Just enjoy everything and don't take the cookies.

Cool and hip bar wine place South of Market, good for a drink and small bite to eat. Can be noise when busy.

Large open space makes this place especially great for special events. The staff is friendly and unpretentious. The wine list is limited, but I think there is enough selection for everyone to find something appealing. And best of all, it's a not-noisy enough place to hang out with friends and participate in a conversation.

This was my first time at Tank18, went there for a City Experts meet and greet gathering. An excellent venue, its a wine bar cum event space. Good decor of course, the venue was cleared of tables but I imagine, regular hours would have a few more standing barrels to rest your glass on. They source their wines from local areas, I tasted their reds from Sacramento, they also sell bottles.

We come for the monthly bottling. It is amazing. Buy a glass at the bar for $10 or fill your own BOTTLE for $8!! Wines are always great, food is always good. Only four stars because it is hard to get a spot to sit and it gets really loud. Come early, order early, and have a great time!!
