"This longstanding Thai restaurant (which has an additional location in West Covina), is a charming spot that stands out among SGV Thai restaurants for its unique dishes. The crunchy catfish salad comes out in a dome-like puff and is paired with a spicy sour apple slaw, while the lime-punched century eggs with Chinese sausage salad should not be skipped." - Kat Thompson

This was a restaurant I stumbled upon while buying egg tarts nearby at Phu’s bakery. They have a lot of options and have large portions. I had bought the dishes home. Pad see ew, rad na (thick rice noodles with gravy), and pad soon sen. these were all delicious. The catfish dish was alright. I probably won’t order that again as it was quite hard and sweet. Service was good for to-go. Ambiance: They have quite a bit of seating and can accommodate large groups.

Google
Very good Thai food. They have an extensive menu to choose from. They offer lunch specials that are filling. Quick service.

Overall, it was a good experience. The pad Thai noodles tasted a little different. I can't put my finger on the seasoning, but it wasn't bad. The satay chicken and egg rolls were very good. The chicken fried rice was very good and of course the Thai tea was great. The teen worker wasn't very attentive, and you could tell she didn't want to be there, but I was a teen once, so I get it.

Google
Totally authentic Thai food in the SGV. Really friendly staff and delicious food. We ordered four dishes and all four tasted just like what we get in Bangkok - but much larger American-sized portions. Especially recommend the pork larb and grilled pork neck. Thai tea was also spot on. Food can be done to whatever level of spiciness you prefer.

Google
Their food is delicious and not-kidding spicy! The papaya in papaya salad appeared to be cut with a knife, not the shredder. It was flavorful! Loved the dry shrimps. Also re: the negative review below, I think it’s a custom to serve papaya salad with a wedge of cabbage, not shredded cabbage. My Thai mother in law does it the same way and I’ve seen it served like that in many other Thai restaurants. The fried rice was also really good and didn’t taste artificially flavored or too salty. Would love to come back to and try other things! Service was quick and friendly, restroom was clean. Parking lot available.

I came here with 2 of my friends on a Saturday evening. It wasn't too busy so we got seated right away. We ordered a few dishes to share: Tom Yum Chicken, Golden Duck Curry & Flaming Drunken Noodle with chicken. We got the dishes mild for spiciness. The soup and the noodles were delicious and enough to share for 3 people. I personally didn't like the duck curry as much. I would like to come back and try their other curry dishes. 😊😍😋

Google
So glad that we found a place to satisfy our Thai noodle cravings. The Thai boat noodles were not the best but good for those days when you don't want to go all the way to Thai town. The kueh chap was delicious. Looking forward to try more items on the menu.

Second time here. First was good, so came back. Large place to accommodate so many. Ordered seafood tom yum, they called it something else. Anyways, seafood soup, spring rolls, satay chicken, shrimp pad Thai, beef pad see ew, and a red curry chicken to go. All were delicious.

Leesuh W.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a few friends, and we had a delightful experience. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and overall, the food was quite satisfying. My two favorite dishes were the Drunken Noodles and Morning Glory. Both were absolutely bomb! The flavors were rich and well-balanced. We also enjoyed the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert; it was pretty good, though not the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, we were not too fond of the Beef Pad See Yew. The beef was quite dry, which was disappointing given the otherwise great quality of the food. Customer service here is generally good, but they did forget to serve one of our dishes. We had to wait for it while we had already finished everything else, which was a bit of a letdown. Despite this hiccup, the overall experience was positive, and I plan to come back for my favorite dishes.

Yelp
A ok.. Papaya salad: too salty. Not flavorful. Pad Thai: average Pad see ew: not bad Tantawan fried rice: a ok.. Prob won't order again.

Yelp
Happened to be in the area for a health fair excited to try. Chicken Satay appetizer -- good sized pieces, yay, easy off the stick, yay, chicken by itself had good flavor, but the peanut sauce had no peanut flavor or peauts init it tasted like a jam or dark paste scooped out of a jar. Both the sauce and the diced pickled cucumbers arrived on the platter in small plastic to go containers rather than in small dishes. The chicken yellow curry was very soupy. Familiar flavor was there, the chicken was in ribbons, not chunks. The potatoes and carrots were chunky, even clunky. Rice was extra, arrives cold and a little hard on a plate. The green beans with chicken were okay, spicy, with and an herb like dill but not dill...it had an interesting flavor profile...overall, the food was hearty but pedestrian probably bec its served and presented like nothing special. Ambiance: tables along window. And large tables in interior easily accommodate large parties. In fact two parties were in the place, they even had a buffet setup for one of them But high chairs boxes stacked along a wall in plain view, the closed off areawith tables as a barrier, this place was both open yet cluttered. The mustard color on the walls, and the moorish arches make this place feel like a former Mexican restaurant maybe it was. Our menus were ripped along the edges and dirty. Service was absent but probably bec they seemed shorthanded with the larger parties needing more attention. So no water refills for us.

Yelp
Wow! I haven't been to this place in years, but I am extremely happy to see they are doing well and that their food is still delicious. It's very easy to mess up Thai food, a lot of times, it's too oily, too salty, or just bland. Tantawan has perfected Thai food and their prices can not be beat. We came on a weekday lunch and there were other tables that also had the same idea as us. We got two noodle dishes and a dessert dish for later. The food was delicious and devoured quickly. My favorite was the pad Thai. The crunch from the bean sprouts and the tang of it had so much flavor. The mango stick rice was also delicious. Thank goodness it's mango season. Service was great. Although, I was seated near the window and there were some instances of fruit flies. It's summer, so you can't really blame them for the hot weather. I would definitely come back and I'm super happy that I live close enough to do so.

Yelp
If you are in the mood for Thai food this is the place to be. The service was quick and friendly and the ambience was nice and chill. Parking was pretty easy as they located within a plaza. My wife and I ordered three dishes between us because we couldn't decide on what to get. Everything just sounded so good! We ended up ordering the chicken satay with rice, Pad See You with beef, and the Flamen drunken noodles with chicken. I am a big spicy food fan and ordered a spice level of 8 out of 10. I thought this was just right for me and I may even try the 10 out of 10 spice level next time. Just a warning though, if you don't have a high spice level tolerance, I would recommend getting somewhere between 3 and 5. The Flamen Drunken Noodles were delicious and had a nice kick to it. The Pad See You had a bit of a sweeter side to it wish my wife liked. The winner, I thought, was the chicken satay with rice. It came with two separate sauces, which I don't know exactly what it is, but they were delicious. The rice was seasoned and was a nice compliment with the chicken. If you are craving some Thai food, be sure to stop by and check this place out!

Yelp
I was craving Thai food and searched for nearby Thai restaurants. This place popped up and it looked promising! Where I live, the Thai food isn't great so I was hoping to fulfill my craving with this spot and it didn't disappoint! We ordered crispy tofu and papaya salad for the appetizers. The server was helpful and recommended us the Thai papaya salad. It had a hint of spice which was perfect and tasted really fresh. The tofu appetizer was delicious and devoured the entire plate so quickly. It was perfectly crispy and not oily. I like to dip it in chili sauce. Drunken noodles dish was very flavorful and the noodles were perfectly chewy. The shrimp was large and they didn't skimp out on giving us a lot of shrimp. Unfortunately, the Tom yum noodles was my least favorite dish of the night since it wasn't as sour as I hoped. I wonder if it's because I asked for mild flavor. I did like that they let you choose from 4 types of noodles though. Service was good and the food was even better. The ambiance was nice and the tables were not super close to each other. I would definitely come here again! Parking was free.

Yelp
I didn't notice this thai place at first because it was surrounded by a bunch of vietnamese places. The service was quick and attentive. It wasn't busy at all on a Friday night and our food came out pretty fast. I was surprised that the main dish we ordered came before the appetizer. We ordered the thai boat with only beef, but it came out with pork liver and barely any beef. I had better expectations for the thai boat but was disappointed with the broth because it didn't feel smooth and clean. I would assume it is because they cook it with the pork liver which makes the broth look a little dirty. I was happy with the thai iced tea, it was so delicious. The chicken satay wasn't cooked well on one side and it was kinda salty. I would come back to try their pad thai and get another thai tea!

Noon N.

Yelp
Great service. Food is not too sweet like other Thai restaurants. Crispy catfish is a must try item.

Jum M.

Yelp
The service is not great we sit down they didn't come to ask what we want to order and we are the only table!

Mandy W.

Yelp
Just as fantastic as I remember. We ordered all of our staples and decided to try one that we tried before. Absolute perfection. Their flaming drunken noodles will always be one of my favorites, as it's full of flavor and has the perfect amount of spice. Highly recommend. Service was great as the lovely women were likely wondering how 2 people could be ordering 3 main dishes and 2 appetizers. No judgements felt! Simple restaurant with plenty of parking available in the plaza at a short walk. Will definitely continue visiting.

Yelp
What's up: Grabbing lunch with the coworkers! We haven't had Thai food in a while, so we thought this was a good time to try this place out. Parking: Located in the Vikon Center, parking is shared with the nearby businesses. The lot is not too busy, so there was plenty of parking available during lunchtime. Environment: We hit the lunchtime crowd and had a short wait before being seated. Another short wait after placing our order and we were chowing down on our yummy food. Staff members were friendly but they mixed up our spice levels. We had originally wanted mild spice on the Pad Thai, but it ended up being a lot spicier than expected. Meanwhile, the Chicken Curry had no spice at all. Other than that, staff members were pleasant and the noise level was not too bad. The interior is bright and well lit. What was ordered: - Tantawan Pad Thai (yummy with a kick...a bit too much of a kick since they mixed up the spice level but it was still good!) - Rad Na Noodles (lots of thick gravy, not a fan. It looked more like a soup) - Chicken Curry (chicken with green curry. A bit sweet, lots of bamboo. Served with rice) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Overall, the food was tasty. The Pad Thai was good and would have been perfect if it wasn't so spicy. The Rad Na Noodles was more soup than noodles so it was kinda weird. Credit cards are accepted.

Yelp
Got takeout yesterday and everything was nicely packaged and very good! Tantawan serves reliable and tasty Thai food in the 626 area. How do I judge and know? My Thai mama approves of this place and she's been here numerous times... usually she complains about everything, but not here, lol. The food is nice and their menu offerings covers a lot of regional Thai food to the usual greatest hits of pad Thai or pad see ewe and curries. By the way, the Pad Thai here is very very good! Great wok-hei (wok smokiness) and flavorful. Mom likes the spicy stir fried curry catfish. I love the crab fried rice here it's NOT fishy and they use good fresh ingredients. Thai style noodle soups like "Yen ta fo" (seafood tomato and red soybean base curd- broth) here is pretty decent. Hubby and kids loves the BBQ chicken fried rice combo similar to "Thai BBQ restaurant" branch, but they use better shrimp quality here at Tantawan! Restaurant itself is spacious and great for large parties. Service is polite. I recommend Tantawan restaurant if you don't want to travel far to Hollywood's Thai-town.

Devianna C.

Yelp
Good size restaurant not too far off from the freeway, has a large parking lot and inside dining. I ordered the pad se ew with chicken a medium spicy and Thai iced tea. My plate was good, lots of flavors and the spice was a perfect amount not too overpowering. The Thai tea was wrapped also in a bit which I appreciated. I was greeted right away when I walked in and they said my name perfectly, I love this place! lol not too far from home so I'll definitely be back.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Food - ordered pad Thai, veggie egg roll and Che po. It was take out so I have to eat it home. To tasted the veggie egg roll it was so crispy and fresh. The pad Thai looks so delicious Service- called for pick up , it was ready in 15 mins Ambiance was spacious. Not to busy today The prices in yelp was not updated. I thought I'm paying $34 instead paid $44 dollars . They increased each menu by $2-4 .

Yelp
Our go to Thai food!! We always order the same thing when we get here and it always consistent. Pad Thai (chicken) or pad see ew (beef) Pork jerky Tum yum (seafood) And ask for the spice tray for extra spice. So yummy. It's definitely enough for 2. Plenty of food and don't need anything else Love this place. We come here probably every other 2 weeks or so. It's that good! Never a wait either, which we like!

KC M.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely wonderful We have Thai at least once a week and all the places we've been. This is probably in my top three Thai places of all time. . Recommend the pad Thai if you love that tie full of flavor and sauce. Good portions. Sticky rice was delicious Rice is sold separate Wonderful service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming again

Henry P.

Yelp
This location in West Covina is the one we always visit. The staff is friendly and we always find ourself coming back when we crave papaya salad. I think this is one of the far better Thai restaurants around the area. Although it looks a bit outdated and rusty, the food here is out standing. My gf doesn't eat Asian cuisine as much, but she loves this place. Our usual order is the dried shrimp papaya salad with green beans, crab fried rice, pad Thai, Tom yum and their special green soda

Niki H.

Yelp
This is the first time I have come to this restaurant. The food was great and tasty. The service was great. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. We came here for my friend's birthday, and the restaurant can accommodate a large group, so fun! I recommend you to try this restaurant when you are in the area.

Lanijah W.

Yelp
Staff was very kind and helpful! Also the food came out so fast, I was genuinely shocked how fast our three dishes came out. We ordered Pad see ew, crispy pork belly over Chinese broccoli, and the golden duck curry. 3.9/5 The pork belly and broccoli dish was very yummy. I think I would've enjoyed if it was salted just a tad bit more. There was a lot of broccoli and a good amount of pork as well. The pork stayed crispy throughout the whole meal which was definitely impressive. 3-4/5 I personally really enjoyed the duck curry while my partner liked it a little less than I did. The curry is a light creamy flavor and it is also a very thin consistency. Almost like soup. The duck was tender and I really enjoyed the bits of pineapple and tomato in the curry. Next time I would ask for it to a little bit spicier 4.5/5 chicken pad see ew was very flavorful. Honestly much to say other than it was really good. All in all the 3 dishes plus a large rice came out to about $50. The proportions were good sized and the price was pretty decent. Would definitely come again

Yen P.

Yelp
I got thai iced tea i love their fried crab rice i always get it when i come here thank you for a wonderful service.

Yelp
1230pm Sunday Was in the area with my nieces after going to the Bubble World Experience. Afterwords,, we wanted to see what's around the area to eat instead of heading back home. Yelp have options and we picked Tantawan Thai Kitchen. Parking: regular strip mall parking. Found parking right at front. Greeter: welcomed us and got seated right away. We were surprised that they were not busy at all. Only 1 other party dining. Ambiance: nothing fancy, a bit dated. Service: they were friendly and seem to be on top of it. Food: we order our typical regular Thai dishes. Chicken Stay: good, the sauce was thick for our liking. Fried calamari: Fried well, sauce was nice. Shrimp Pad Thai: a bit in the sweet side. But it was good, we finished it. Chinese Broccoli with fried Pork Belly: Pork Belly was cooked well, the overall flavor had a bitter note, not sure what it was. Tom Yum Shrimp: When it arrived, I was not happy that it was pretty limited ingredients to what I normally get. Didn't have tomatoes, no onions. Mushrooms were your basic mushroom that were sliced versus whole. Shrimp were nicely cooked. Ironically, the flavor was spot on. It had depth and the Lemon grass flavor was there. Only thing, the soup got cold really fast. Cashew chicken: was average, it was missing something that we could not figure out what. Over all, nice experience. We always love trying different non-nation wide chain restaurants. Some may be a hit and some a miss. This place was so so.

Stela T.

Yelp
We ordered to go: fried calamari, larb beef, Tom Kah chicken soup, beef panang, beef pad see ew, and crab fried rice. Fried calamari was really good, good portion. First time to taste beef larb, pretty good. Tom kah chicken soup, the soup was really good, loved it. Beef pad see ew is good as well. Beef panang was so little, hardly any beef and the beef is not soft, have tasted better than this, a little bit disappointed. My son loves beef panang, tonight, he hardly touch it. Crab fried rice is just okay, surprised the portion is a bit small. I would love to have the Tom kah soup again.

Tony J.

Yelp
All my reviews are just reminders to myself. Dinner at 8. Place was nearly empty. Not bad, but not great. Might go again if other places are closed -Golden duck curry: tasted kinda watered down. Little depth of flavor -Tom kha chicken: soup was okay. Nothing memorable -Papaya salad: dressing was nice, rest was meh, felt like something was missing but can't put my finger on it -Drunken noodle: noodle was okay. Standard chow fun taste, beef a little rough -Rice: bucket of rice for the table. Tasted and felt like old rice.

Jane L.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food!! I was craving some Thai food and was in the area. I called my order in (there was a menu online). The person on the phone quoted me about 20 minutes, which was perfect. There is plenty of spots and I was in and out in few minutes. As for the food, I did not have any expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I tried: 1.Tom Yum - this was probably my least favorite dish. I thought it had pretty good flavor, but slightly watery for me. 2. Thai basil chicken - my favorite of all of them. I got it with ground chicken and it was cooked perfectly and the flavors were so good. 3. Papaya salad - had pretty good flavor and the shrimp was not over powering. All in all, decent Thai food for this cold winter. One tip is that I ordered everything mild and everything (except the soup) was slightly on the spicy side. Something to think about it when you're ordering. Definitely will have to come back again.

Tonny V.

Yelp
Decent Thai restaurant. Medium size with a few big tables. Someone always greets you when you enter. It's located in a plaza, so parking is not hard to find. I like their papaya salad, and fried fish with the thai sauce.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Tantawan is conveniently location in Rosemead with a parking lot. The place looks family owned and when I arrived at noon, it was empty. Maybe missing a bit of decor but it was fine. They asked us if wanted anything to drink as we looked over the menu. The prices seem less expensive compared to other Thai restaurants in the area but we decided to family style which I recommend doing with a few dishes. We opted for Boat Noodles and a Pad See Ew. The boat noodle was decent; you can choose the type of noodle. It needed a bit more depth of flavor and some spice as well. It also needed to be much hotter. The pad see ew was more solid; sweet from the soy and a decent combo of noods, veges, and meat. We also got a fish patty app, which needed a bit more flavor as well but pretty solid. Finally we got a green curry which seems pretty good. Full of meat and bamboo shots so worth the money but doesn't come with rice. The food itself was decent but also, the food came all at once so unless you eat super fast, it got cold and that was a bit frustrating.

Lee D.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Today we got the following: Roasted Duck Noodle Soup - Surprised that my daughter ordered this...? I did not know she liked duck. It was good, fresh, decent quantity except more duck would have been nicer. Beef Pad Thai Noodle - Good flavors (ketchup forward, which my daughter did not like, but I do); generous portions. Beef was tough though... If the beef was tender, this might have been a 5 star review. Additionally, if the beef was more tender, I would have suggested more beef, but at this quality, no thanks. Atmosphere - Paper or QR code menus. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm. Plenty of mall parking, seemed like all the other businesses were closed. Plenty of indoor seating, only 5 tables of customers this evening. Service - Good. Price - $31 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2013.

Cherry B.

Yelp
We enjoy the papaya salad, pork jerky, crispy fried cat fish and nam kao tod. These are our go to dishes here and we are Thai . It's in a quiet plaza with lots of parking. The restaurant looks a bit dated. It is good for big groups since it's not too busy.

Vincent D.

Yelp
good go to place for thai food locally. their thai boat noodle signature is a usual for me. they serve a variety of curries, noodles, soups, appetizers, rice, thai ice tea. price range is 12-15$ per dish but each dish can fill up an average sized person. their portions are standard size (not too little but not generous) just enough. parking free and the lot is the size of a small plaza (-40, 50 spots) no trouble usually during day or night to find a place. no ev charging though. yes there is a bathroom for the public. the waiters are nice sweet and cute :). they accept credit card. i go for their hot/ice tea which is unlimited refills basically an average quality average price thai place thatll do the job nearby.

Dee Dee L.

Yelp
Just as i had suspected...they are indeed dirty. I was about to come eat here, although I do not like this location bc i prefer West covina, i saw that they now have a B instead of an A. So immediately i pulled up the last inspecrion report and sure enough 12 getman cockroaches and live nymphs found in thier kitchen. I knew it. I've never liked this location. It looks dirty, grimey, stained walls, so much clutter and ived watched the staff in the kitchen eat with gloves on and back to cooking. Im never coming back, and i do not recommend it. If they were dirty enough once, its only a matter of time before it happens again.

Arthur C.

Yelp
Today I had the opportunity to eat here. The taste of the food is excellent. It has a Thai feel, especially the papaya salad. I like it a lot.

Jenny Y.

Yelp
Food was okay here, the tom yum broth tasted weird, different than other tom yums I've had. I wouldn't say it's an improvement. My offal filled noodle was okay, everything was overcooked, not sure if that's the style but I wouldn't order it again. This place seemed a bit grungy and food didn't impress enough for me to make a trip back.

Anna K.

Yelp
We had a reservation for 40 people in advance and the restaurant wasn't prepared for our orders because one man was taking all the orders and my people was so upset because some ppl already finished eating while the others still waited drinking their beers without any appetizers.. they should have prepared themselves. The kitchen however I think was pretty quick ( can't tell how many cooks there was. The food was better than ok but I can have it better

Erik C.

Yelp
Very tasty Thai spot! Had the drunken noodle, spicy fried rice, and beef jerky. A hidden gem in a little strip mall but good is amazing. Service is always very good and dishes are decently priced. I like this location the best.

Julie D.

Yelp
If I could give this place 3.5/5 stars I would, but it gets bumped up to 4 :) This place has been around for many years, I remember going here when it first opened, 10+ years ago. Tantawan has two locations (plaza in Rosemead and plaza in West Covina). Both have abundance of parking spaces. They serve authentic Thai cuisines and tastes very home-made. The variety is huge, as you can see by the menu selections. They offer lunch special, but only a few items. We had take-out here for lunch and I ordered the Tay Jew Noodles. I liked how they had the soup and noodles separate (that's how it should be for to-go orders!). They gave a good amount of utensils and condiments. The soup was very flavorful and had the perfect amount of garlic (a lot) in the broth. My only complaint is that Banana Bay is 1-2 miles away and they have a larger lunch special menu and costs way less. The flavors are quite similar but I'd pick Banana Bay based on the prices. But if I wanted a larger variety of different appetizers and foods, I'd pick Tantawan.

Simon S.

Yelp
i used to be a regular customer at this place because the food is good but service from certain waitresses is terrible!!!!! will not go back because of how they treat their regular customers!!!!! phuck this place!!!!!

Angela N.

Yelp
This is my go-to local Thai place. I usually order to-go, but I've also dined in a few times. Their food actually carries pretty well when it's to-go and they make sure to package everything so soups and sauces don't spill! My food has always been ready before I am there to pick them up. As for the service, they always pick up the phone during their open hours and I love that they address me by name along with "what can we get for you this time?" after I give my phone number since I'm a repeating customer. It's a small thing, but a very nice touch. Out of the few times that I have dined in, the service was slow, depending on the day, but not enough for me to get upset because the food was always so good. However, the latest time I went there with my husband and daughters, all of the food we ordered came out very quickly (which was very surprising). We love getting their sauteed eggplant, larb, pad prik king (add a fried egg), pad woon sen, pad see ew, fried tofu, pad kee mau, and seafood rad na. The ambiance is decent. I would recommend this place!

Ti N.

Yelp
my go to is the drunken noodles with beef, love the kick of spice from these noodles! also tried the pad see ew, pad thai and tom yum noodles before and they were all pretty good just depends on what mood i am in. the inside may look a bit old and might not be the cleanest it could be but the service is always friendly, the older asian lady with the black hair is super nice and sweet. she always checks up on us and makes sure the food is good and that we're good! restaurant is always dead when we come to dine in even on weekend nights but i'm not complaining about it because that means we don't have to wait to be seated and our food comes out quickly!

Edward S.

Yelp
I love this place from the bottom of my heart! They always make great tasting food and hits your Thai food needs! Friendly staff, food that slaps, and good vibes

Grim S.

Yelp
This place always slaps whenever I go. EVERYTHING is good. I recommend the drunken noodle with chicken though!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I ordered Beef Pad See See, sea food Pad Thai, and Fish Patty Cake. I love the most are Pad Thai and Fish Cake. Very yummy, tasty, and good service.

Juliana L.

Yelp
Probably the absolute closest thing to Thai food from Thailand. The service is always great. Not the cleanest of places but I keep going back, so it's not terrible. I order out from there on a consistent basis. All their food is pretty good. For context, I live 20 minutes away from here but I always go there. No where else for Thai food if I can help it.

Graciela C.

Yelp
The first time I got their BOAT NOODLES eaten in house, it was excellent! The broth was intense and full of flavor I thought, this is one of the best ones in SGV! The second time I got them to go, the quality had decreased and it barely had any meats and the broth wasn't as flavorful. Could be the inflation effect but It wasn't as satisfying.m as the first time. It cost around $15 for the boat noodles. Parking easy in their lot.

Darren L.

Yelp
When it comes to SGV Thai food this is as authentic as it gets. I've been here many times since it opened. I've only had better Thai food in Thai town in Hollywood. One note is that the papaya salad is prepared with the rough chop that is characteristic of a classic papaya salad as opposed to the julienne that other Thai restaurants in the SGV do (banana bay, president thai). The medium spicy that I usually order is very spicy to the average palate for the papaya salad, which is the way it typical is when found in Thailand. They even have a wider variety of Thai dishes including some of the northeastern/Issan food. The West Covina location is the same as well and I've been there a few times.

Yelp
Highly disappointed. I ordered according to their website... Tantawan BBQ chicken is what it said with a photo with the rice. It got delivered and I only got chicken. I'm NOT just going to eat chicken.., I wanted the meal, I don't recommend this place at all. Unsatisfied and unhappy. I called - they didn't do anything!

Yelp
We've been to this Thai restaurant for years now. The foods are always and authentic!! We love true spicy thai food. This is definitely the best thai food in town. Service is always good here. The staffs are always friendly and tentative. Lots of parking!! Such a plus

Yelp
This is a legitimate Thai cuisine place located in the city of Rosemead. The location has plenty of parking for a huge group to dine at. They have plenty of items to choose from. I feel it's part Chinese food as well because that menu is so large. My favorite was the garlic pepper short ribs, crispy catfish, sautéed po tak, and sautéed eggplant. All dishes were authentic and very enjoyable. Others in our party liked what they chose. Service was quick as we asked for additional time to scour the menu. All the dishes came out fairly quickly. So that we can all eat together. The parking lot is pretty big so if you had a banquet here they would be able to accommodate with ease. Other businesses in the area didn't seem to be open for dinner so that makes it better for this business though it took a long time for it to get busy. Possibly because the neighborhood isn't well traveled. Definitely give this place a try on your next food excursion.

Yelp
Good neighborhood Thai restaurant that's been around for a long time! Staffs are nice and friendly and fast. Food is ok. The serving is big. Great for when you're hungry, especially any of the fried rice. Taste like 6 stars dishes. If you call for to-go, it should take around 15-20 minutes wait and they have it packed and ready to go for you!
