Wow! I was floored! The best food! The best beignets I have ever had (prior to It I thought it was Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans) . Shrimp and grits , a must try! Super friendly service. Great atmosphere 💥

We went for Sunday lunch and loved the atmosphere! The service was so-so, went in the back door by parking lot, and was told to seat ourselves. It took a few minutes for any to recognize we were there. Our waitress asked, "You seat yourselves?" Well, yeah, we did, we were told to.... lol The food was amazing! Bottomless mimosas and grilled shrimp and fries fish. BONUS THERE WAS LIVE MUSIC!!!

Google
Typical small downtown main st restaurant fare with Cajun offerings. The Jolie burger was great, definitely recommend it. The fries were kinda soft and soggy. The croissant french toast was also tasty. Good service and live music 11-1.

Tried this place while staying in Breaux Bridge. Unfortunately, it is the only place in town that returned on a breakfast restaurant search. Good is ok. Not the best, but not the worst either. First trip had to ask about part of my meal. It was promptly brought out. The second trip, the was not brought out. Asked a server who brought it to the attention of our server who ignored the issue until I had eaten the ret of the meal. Saying today's server was rude, is being nice. Don't waste your time with this place.

5-12-24 approx. 10:30 came to this eatery for the first time I enjoyed the Big Breakfast! Everything was exceptionally great at this restaurant for breakfast. The beignets are the REAL DEAL!!! I was almost reluctant to order them, but I was so pleased that they are the authentic beignets with no corners or substitutes made (like what became of Cafe' Du Monde's beignets). Ms. Stephanie was our waitress, and she was so pleasant. The only negative part was the cranberry juice that I ordered...was NOT cranberry juice. It tasted like a glass of vinegar with lemon squeezed in it.

We ate breakfast with new friends and enjoyed it enough that we returned later for an early dinner. Super friendly waitress (both meals!). One small hiccup - my husband's shrimp po'boy ended up as fried catfish. The waitress had accidentally written it wrong when she took our order and offered to make things correct. Husband declined as he was happy with catfish. Good food, good proportions.

Google
They had the best shrimp and grits I think I've ever had. I will definitely be going back. Service was good. It was a little on the pricey side for breakfast but everything is expensive these days. Overall, I'm happy and so is my belly :)

Google
Food was good other than the gumbo. Being a local, I can't even begin to describe how wrong that gumbo was. I think there was grilled chicken in it. The rice was hard as well. I would return here as I would like to try other menu offerings as everything else we ate was delicious. The Chicken biscuit and the Boudin Grilled Cheese was excellent. Service was a little slow for not being that busy.

Yelp
We went late afternoon just before a weekday closing and still got prompt service with fresh hot food. Laid back atmosphere and friendly people. We had burger, a grilled chicken with waffle sweet potato fries and a "make your own" wrap with the Jolie fries. Everything was hot and fresh and tasty!

Kim B.

Yelp
Food, service, dining area and atmosphere were all thumbs up. We had a bacon biscuit, ham burrito and boudin beignet with coffee. The boudin to biscuit ratio was a bit off. I did have to scoop much of the bread to the side but over all it was tasty. The bathroom is pretty much open to the dining area though. I would recommend.

Yelp
While we were traveling through the area, we wanted to visit a local restaurant with some atmosphere as we like to try different things in unusual places. Unfortunately, we will not be back for this one. The restaurant was far from being full and we think it was pricey. $47.00 for coffee, beignets, chicken biscuit, French toast and a burger. See the comments with the pictures. BTW, they did make us new Beignets. Service was OK.

Yelp
First let me say I ate here about five years ago and really enjoyed it. Last week we were in Breaux Bridge and decided to have breakfast there. Very disappointed. Not the same place anymore. Service was from a young lady who must have been a new hire. We had to ask for everything we needed. The ambience has changed from the warm friendly family type to tourist. The food was the biggest disappointment. Burnt toast. So so coffee. Overdone eggs. It's off my list of favorites now.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
"The best catfish I've ever had," said he. I agree; it was superb. Fresh sweet white flesh with garlic butter and pesto. His wedge salad was more like a few shreds; it was half the size of my house salad. Ambience was good, with live music. Service was prompt and professional but unsmiling.

Yelp
I adore this cajun restaurant. If you're in town or passing through this place is authentic cajun and fun. We came here for cajun jam on a Saturday early afternoon. Cajun jam is where a live band Plays cajun music, sitting on chairs in a circle, in the front of the restaurant. It is so fun and entertaining. The band was laughing and having so much fun that they went over the time they were supposed to end at. I loved the menu. Everything boudin! We ordered the boudin stuffed beignets. They were good, not amazing. That syrup was amazong though. It had spicy hints to it. We also ordered coffee and they serve and sell reve coffee there which is a local coffee place. I ordered the gumbo poboy which was good, that bread made it, and they basically make a boat of the poboy so it isn't as messy as one would think. And finally we ordered the boudin stuffed grilled cheese sandwich was amazing!!! I have dreams about that. Our waitress was so attentive and a cute little thing. This is a popular time to dine and she got us seated right away. I highly recommend this place to locals and out of towers alike.

Gregg S.

Yelp
There are aspects to a good dining experience, good service, good food, and a decent price. The service was very slow, and the waitress was inattentive through the entire experience. We ordered gumbo and it took 40 minutes to come out. Also, the gumbo was a cup sized amount, so I was hungry upon leaving the restraunt. The rice for the gumbo was undercooked, and the gumbo was lukewarm. I will pay good money for good food, but 13.99 for a small portion of gumbo is ridiculous. I really had high hopes for this place.

Aaron H.

Yelp
The food is good and the atmosphere on the weekends is truly an experience with the local musicians.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
What a lovely place!!! We went to a baseball tournament in Youngsville and stopped here on our way home. The staff is nice, the ambiance is just what I want in a brunch/breakfast spot. It wasn't too packed but I was excited to see all the amazing options on the menu. Me and my family had a great time here!!

Belinda B.

Yelp
Very Good food Here . The Breakfast is first class. This is the place to enjoy great meals with friends and family.

Richard L.

Yelp
Great choice for breakfast today. Great service. Good food and lots of families enjoying breakfast. Interesting building and atmosphere. We're staying at Margaritaville resort and it's only 11 minutes away.

Walter G.

Yelp
We loved this wonderful breakfast, the service was on time and everyone was so polite. We recommend this place for breakfast lunch or dinner, it is in a great spot in downtown, conveniently in an area for sightseeing in such a quaint little town on the Bayou Teche, enjoy!! We will definitely be back time and again when we make it to Cajun Country.

Anita H.

Yelp
I'm giving one star because the food wasn't bad. I went with family on a Sunday morning. I had 7 in my party...actually 6 but my nephew walked in; ordered an ice cream-Sunday and was served before anyone at the table who had ordered food. It took 45-minutes for 1/2 of the table to get their food....leaving the other half waiting another 1/2 hour to get their orders. Our waitress did not refill our drinks; get a box for leftover food and only brought the check when I walked up to the counter to ask for it! There were several waitresses working and the place was not even actually full. The Cajun music was good but I will NEVER bring my family back here! The service was too bad!

Mixednutz W.

Yelp
nice comfy food, quite time, relaxing music seeing what these ole folks are up to! lol

Steven S.

Yelp
Food was so good! I had the eggs Benedict and it was a full plate with Hollandaise sauce. The service was wonderful. This place reminded me of a little place in New Orleans, The coffee was fresh, and fresh squeezed OJ . The little sweet grandma that owned the place is so sweet. They don't take CC only Cash App or Vemo! Come Prepared. I'll definitely make this a hot spot!

Clare A.

Yelp
Tante Marie offers a good atmosphere and decent food (soggy fries) but that's where it ends. The kitchen takes way too long and the servers are very immature and inattentive. We ordered one appetizer, a salad, and a Cuban sandwich. It took over 40 minutes to get those 3 simple items and our waitress Kyrsten never refilled our drinks or checked to see if we needed anything. Upon receiving the food she told my mother they were out of the vinaigrette salad dressing so she brought her a bottle of straight vinegar. Kyrsten didn't even bother to ask if my mom wanted a different type of dressing. The last straw was the fact that we had to get up from our table to hunt down our server Kyrsten to get our ticket. We were one of 3 tables so the wait was inexcusable. Skip this place and find anything else.

Yelp
Nice place for breakfast! They have recently added another owner and changed the name to Tante Marie. Started out with community coffee and real half and half (love that). I had Marie's breakfast plate-2 eggs, Cajun potatoes, chaurice sausage, and a biscuit with gravy. It was really good! My husband and friend had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and my friend's husband had a blue cheeseburger. We liked everything! The atmosphere was roomy and Ioved all the artwork on the walls. This place is located in the middle of town, cute area!

Landon A.

Yelp
Great setting for great food! Started with beignets and cafe au lait. Beignets top notch but cafe au lait needs work. Favorite item was the house specialty of boudin grilled cheese with spicy bacon jam. Also, make sure to check out the Rusted Relic store next door.

KC C.

Yelp
Very long wait for dinner and at the time we were the only table (2 guests), in the restaurant. Waitress was nice, but should work on consolidation to allow you to be more efficient with your time.

Aisha O.

Yelp
Honestly, the food here is OK. I have been several times and it's nothing to write home about. I think if you aren't from around this area, you might find it to be absolutely great food but, being someone from here it's OK. The restaurant is nice and the wait staff is also Pretty nice as well. There is live music at time so if you don't enjoy that type of stuff, you might want to call and check before you go.

Nick G.

Yelp
I really don't think this place cares about its customers or the public. Today was the last straw. We've waitered from here several times AND more times than none, Tante Marie's just decided to cancel our order. Try calling - I dare ya - you won't get any answer. All you'll get is an answering machine. Welp, that was our last time attempting to eat here and we live in Breaux Bridge.

Joshua B.

Yelp
Amazing service. Very friendly. Absolutely love their food. I recommend the double decker BLT.

Stephen R.

Yelp
SLOW.....did I say SLOW service. After30 mins still no food. I ordered a hot dog and fries. Pitiful Pitiful. When stopped the waitress and asked her to check on our order she said the kitchen is just slow. Will not return.

Shirley T.

Yelp
Had never been to Breaux Bridge before and we found this charming little restaurant. My husband and I ordered two Americano coffees and breakfast! I had the norm, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and the biggest homemade biscuit! My husband ordered the boudin burrito. If you don't know what boudin is, it's a type of Cajun sausage. Both breakfasts were excellent! Very cute town that we explored after breakfast!

Dade F.

Yelp
The food is great Period. the service is great the ice cream is the best. Everything is the best. The Ambiance is great and the band is one the best people I every heard play the guitar or a the zydeco.

Richard E.

Yelp
For anyone visiting Breaux Bridge, especially on a Saturday morning, this is a great cultural experience of local cafe fare, and probably Cajun Jam music to enjoy while having Brunch. Street parking in the area has been easy, and with a little searching there's some local available parking lots a short walk from the action. We've now been by three time and three time enjoyed our Cajun infused brunch selections, and the ever changing groups of musicians that jam away on Saturday mornings. It appears that if you have some musical skill, you'd be welcomed to pull up a chair and join the jam on these mornings. For brunch, we've found the service fun and friendly. The coffee hot and fresh, and enjoyed the various choices, with the southern flair. It feels like community here each time we visit, and makes one want to eat slowly and enjoy the atmosphere. Then in general, once your appetite is filled, this is a great community to stroll around and visit the various antique shops, and artist studios.

Yelp
I used to love the House Salad but buying it because the last time I bought it the size was reduced and I walked out hungry. I used to love the salad for a meal but no longer think it is a good buy for a meal. The establishment also seems to be tight on alcohol in the drinks. I no longer buy drinks here.

Darlene C.

Yelp
Amazing food and small town vibe! We will be back! We highly recommend the biscuits!

Sarah G.

Yelp
I have no idea how this place manages to have a 4-star rating, unless it's just coasting on a once-good reputation. My review is for the food only, the service was fine. I ordered the chicken biscuit; this restaurant claims to be known for their biscuits, but mine crumbled the second I stuck a fork into it. It was supposed to be a fried breast with spicy bacon jam and my choice of sawmill gravy or tasso cream. No bacon jam, lukewarm gravy. Far from being a whole breast, it was more like half a breast that, judging from its coldness and dryness, had been hanging around the kitchen for an hour, before being cut up and sprinkled meagerly onto the biscuit. Do better, Tante Marie. You really embarrassed yourself today.

Sarah D.

Yelp
The best things we tried were the boudin egg rolls and (surprising on the house due to a duplication error) boudin-stuffed beignets. Given the heaviness of the apps, we opted to share a club sandwich with chips and salsa for lunch. I would rate this a 3/4 stars out of 5--it wasn't bad but it didn't wow me. The sandwich was a little dry. I appreciated the homemade salsa--very fresh--and I love thin chips but they were a bit oily. The service was great--it's an adorable little place. There are other things that look great on the menu that I would return to try if I find myself in downtown Breaux Bridge again.

Jeanette M.

Yelp
Adorable little cafe in the heart of Breaux Bridge. Right on Main Street this cute Cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. It appears to be a renovated hardware store with antique furniture and an upright piano. On one end a full bar and on the other a little ice cream shop. We went for breakfast and were greeted immediately. The menu was simple but with options to build your own breakfast from a large variety of traditional and local food options. My husband had the chicken biscuit and gravy (homemade biscuit and gravy) very good and an Irish coffee. I chose the boudin burrito stuffed with boudin, eggs and cheese served with a local syrup. And of course a mimosa. We opted to add a side of Cajun potatoes. I'm so glad we had this experience. The prices were very reasonable because it's a locals place to go. I wish we had more time here to go back for dinner as I believe they have live music some nights. I highly recommend it and will return if ever back in the area.

Yelp
We went to Tante Marie for Mother's Day . Place wasn't that busy . The owners are very rude / the staff was cursing behind the bar . They were arguing with each other . Very unprofessional staff. We also noticed people who arrived after us received their orders before we did. It took three hours to get our food. Our appetizer was good . We had the boudin egg rolls and cheese sticks. My daughters had shrimp Alfredo. It was edible. My husband had the fried shrimp and potato salad . It was horrible. Potato salad had no flavor and the shrimp were so over cooked he could hardly eat it. I had the fried fish and it was nasty. Fish was soggy. We did ask for replacement food and they actually charged us for it. The gumbo was horrible . It had grilled chicken in it . Also our food was served to us in trays (fried food) the gumbo was served in a bowl and the rice was thrown o the plate with the bowl of gumbo on the rice . I do t consider this sanitary. We were charged for horrible food with no apologies from staff or owners . They didn't try to make it right. Only thing good about the restaurant was the live band . Don't waste your money going to this place . Absolutely horrible

Yelp
Driving back to Texas on Mothers Day, we decided to take a detour to Tante Marie in Breaux Bridge. It was so fun to see families visiting and celebrating their mothers and grandmothers. We were seated fairly quickly but waited quite a while for service. The young lady who did serve us seemed embarrassed she had not noticed us earlier and quickly took our order. My husband and I both had the fruit cup - real, fresh fruit! He had scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuit. I had one of the best Bloody Marys ever, followed by a small order of shrimp and grits (much better than what I'd had at a top restaurant in New Orleans) and yummy beignets (much better than what I'd had at the overrated Cafe du Monde. We loved the Cajun group that played and especially the couple that danced. We'll definitely stop in again when we're in the area.

Alex M.

Yelp
Amazing delicious breakfast. Super worth the short drive from the highway. Really a funky little town as well. Lots of neat shops, and nice vibe. Head chef has created a both delicious looking as well as tasting menu. We loved the beignets, as well as the deep fried boudin breakfast egg rolls. Coffee very yummy. We were a group of 7 and the timing and entire experience was great.

Jake S.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were driving back to Texas from New Orleans. We stumbled across this gem by accident. The Shrimp Po-boys and the gumbo were amazing. We also tried out the Beignets and let me tell you they were close if not equal to those of the original cafe du monde. The customer service from the waitress and the owner were phenomenal. Will 100% recommend to friends and family. Will go again on my next trip back east.

Bryant B.

Yelp
Food and service was awesome! Grilled shrimp pasta Alfredo was a winner! Pulled pork loaded fries are a must appetizer. Will definitely return!

Kevin R.

Yelp
We stopped here one weekend for a late breakfast and bloody Mary's. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito! The Bloody Mary's were on point. We will definitely be back.

Meggan F.

Yelp
I'm going to be generous with my three stars but I was tempted to give a two star review. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, however we also paid for two orders of beignets that were burnt/over cooked. I think they were just busy but disappointed they would pack my to-go order with two orders of burnt beignets.

Giselle D.

Yelp
Just stopped in for coffee on our way to New Orleans. Ordered the Maya Chai which was good! (A bit on the sweet side for my taste - so if you don't like sweet drinks go with something else or ask for alt. Sweetening options). They have very friendly service! Which is customary of the south. I'd love to come back and try their food. Looked and smelled tasty!

Nora B.

Yelp
Excellent burrito breakfast with boudin! Cajun potatoes were outstanding, too. Definitely have to stop here again.

Lance F.

Yelp
This place is a little hidden gem in Downtown Breaux Bridge. We went on a Saturday night and there was a band (pretty fricken awesome band) and zero wait time. Drinks were a little on the weak side but our waitress was so nice and joyful that we didnt even care and bought more. Food was good and rich with flavor.

Therese M.

Yelp
I was passing through on my way to Baton Rouge and stopped for lunch, it has great atmosphere in an old building. I had a cheeseburger and wedge fries. I loved the burger and the fries were nice too. The waitress was friendly. Parking on the street is easy and free. I look forward to lunch again the next time I pass through.

Yvette S.

Yelp
We came here for lunch while visiting family. We were told that it's a "hit or miss" place and that's exactly the experience. The food was a hit in that it was very good. A big miss in the way of service, though. My brother in law ordered the wrap, my husband had the jalapeño Joli burger. Both liked their meals when they finally got served. My meal, on the other hand was an ordeal. I first tried to order a wedge salad with blackened shrimp added. Nope, not possible. So, I switched to the Cajun or zydeco salad - can't recall the name - but they didn't have blue cheese dressing. So, I landed in the hamburger steak with mixed veggies. By the time the food was delivered, it was minus my order. Server said that the kitchen messed up my order and had to remake it. The guys ate their lunch and we waited another 10-15 minutes after they weee done before mine came out. Thankfully, it was delicious. The server was unapologetic about the experience and no offer was made to remove or discount my meal for the huge time delay. Overall, this was a miss. It's disappointing given the food tasted really good.

Caley Z.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast place! I was so impressed by all of the items on my place - the potatoes, grits, and sausage were all such a great flavor and so different. We were there for Saturday breakfast and were greeted by a fun group playing their fiddles at the front of the store. There was such a sense of community here as well and great service.

Sarah D.

Yelp
This cafe is really cute. They had a great live band and the vibe was super homey. The food was good but the service was a little slower than I would have preferred. I recommend this place if you don't mind waiting a bit

Karen S.

Yelp
The boudin egg rolls are so good. I could eat those forever. They were outstanding. Their boudin is the best.

James L.

Yelp
Excellent BLT and lemon cake! Nice, friendly service. Really cool little spot in a historic building. Breaux Bridge has lots of charm. Will definitely be back.

Tina L.

Yelp
This place, food, music and owner (Linda) are all fantastic! It's colorful and charming. The crab cakes are delicious.

Ken K.

Yelp
We have visited this little cafe several times both with adults and with our grandchildren. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and attentive. The "jam session" music is incredible! On Saturday morning just come in early, before 11:00 am and have something to eat and hang around. Shortly before 11:00 am people will start drifting in with all manner of instruments and the music begin shortly thereafter. We have met people from all over the world in that little cafe. The singing is mostly in Cajun french. Our grandchildren were able to pull up a chair and sit right next to the musicians and watch them perform, they were awestruck. Great place, try it
