Returning to Tao Chinese Cuisine felt like stepping back into one of our most cherished memories. It was here, surrounded by the restaurant’s elegant ambiance that we celebrated our tea ceremony last year. We were delighted to find that the food remained as exceptional as ever.

Overall experience is good except the food served at TAO YUM CHA is just good for 3-stars and below. One time is enough though. This is a HALAL restaurant and online booking has a 30% offer till end of Mar 2025.

Came here for a one night only wine pairing dinner. Place was stunning and elegant. Service was tip top. This is the first time I savour Chinese fine dining and paired with unique variety of wine The collaboration between Tao and sommelier Dibin Chin was magnificent. Dishes prepared by Executive Chef Tommy Choong was amazing. Top of it's class. Really enjoyed all 7 dishes curated by the chef himself. A memorable night to remember dining here!

@intercontinental.kualalumpur @taochinesecuisine [Muslim-Friendly] I tried the Lunar New Year, Emerald Elegance Theme, 9 Course Fortune Set Menu which is available till 12 February 2025. It was an impressive feast as all the dishes were flawless! The price is RM4,488 nett for 10 pax. 🌟Toss to a prosperous New Year with their elevated Yee Sang comprising succulent Lobster, umami Abalone and mixed fruits in tantalising luscious dressing. 🌟I was captivated by the nourishing, full-bodied Double-boiled Village Chicken Soup with Fish Maw delicacy, Dendrobium & Cordyceps Flower. 🌟Succulent Giant River Prawns steamed on a bed of silky smooth egg white, garnished with premium Sea Urchin and shredded ginger. 🌟The intensely rich, buttery and delicate Cod fish fillet steamed with fresh beancurd, wood ear mushrooms and black olives. 🌟Savour the juicy, tender, non-gamey, premium-quality Kirin-style Roasted London Duck paired with Mandarin Oranges. 🌟Pan-fried huge succulent scallops with crunchy asparagus and macadamia nuts. 🌟Exceptional fried rice, wok-fried Wild Rice, fluffy and aromatic with chicken sausage, mushrooms, dried seaweed crowned with pops of red tobiko, I was full but I could finished my portion. 🌟A delicious collagen rich dessert to end the feast on a high note, the Double-boiled Soy Milk with Bird’s Nest & Red Dates served chilled accompanied by, 🌟steamed Ninko dusted with roasted Soy Flour from Japan, how creative dessert. The roasted chicken is tasty with crispy skin. Fried chee cheong fun is nice and goes perfect with their sambal. Fried brinjal, seafood noodle and the richman Fried rice should not be missed too. Only the minced meat tofu and fish broth taste average. Good service and comfortable ambience. Mostly good except the price is pretty high. Nevertheless, a pleasant dining experience

I picked Tao coz I trust intercon standard although the price of coz high but it’s really disappointed me for our annual cny dinner. Among so many hotel Chinese restaurant I have choosen Tao n this is the worst experience . Regret that I should have read the previous review mostly was bad. 1st the yusang ingredients was not fresh, the soft shell crab got smell n full of flour the ingredients used for lousang was those ready made which I can get it at supermarket. 2nd the fish came out the meat already divided very ugly sauce taste was only salted no fragrance. 3rd the roasted chicnen was too too salty n dried. The prawn given was too small n not presentable. Lastly the dessert Ningo no fragrance n the coconut flash even got smell. Chef came out explain saids they cannot use fresh coconut but they can only give can one. What a joke 5* hotel chef told me they used can food instead fresh one. I m paying 3k plus for this dinner end up all the ingredients looks like I m paying cheap set for my company dinner. I felt very embarrassed and disappointed once a year annual cny dinner. Even we feedback to the captain she still arguing with us ! I have tasted all the 5 star even luxury hotel but tis was the worst experience I ever had. As intercon hotel you really need to look into tis matter seriously.

Yelp
Came here to enjoy some dim sum, and was not disappointed. There menu is pretty robust, featuring an array of seafood to beef and everything in between. Got here as soon as they opened up and was the first to be seated, Wednesday afternoon, for lunch. We ordered the soup of the day, some fried rice, a few orders of different types of dim sum, and roast duck on the side. The order we placed came in no particular order, with the rice coming out in the middle of it all, which leads me to suspect that they were not ready for us. As we finished up lunch more patrons started to arrive and the place filled up quickly. All in all the food was great, and service was pleasant, and I got exactly what I wanted.
