A longtime Waikīkī standard for Southern Italian flavors—think uni spaghetti, granchio crab pasta, and seafood‑leaning antipasti. Frequently booked on OpenTable and cited by Honolulu Magazine’s pasta roundups, it remains a go‑to for celebratory dinners with island visitors and locals alike.

The whole experience was fantastic. I went there for a birthday dinner with my husband and a small baby and their staffs were amazingly welcoming my family. Truffle Carbonara was very delicious and Eggplant Caponata was a great choice for appetizer. My chocolate cake dessert was very beautiful.

Google
Taormina has been my favorite restaurant in Waikiki since I first discovered it in 2019. Their Spaghetti Mentaiko is my absolute favorite, it’s my go to pasta especially during lunch. My other favorites are the Bosco salad, Beef Carpaccio, and Vongole (Normally just clams, but you can add spaghetti to it, just ask your server.) Simple, yet exquisite is the best way to explain their food. The food is amazing and so is their service. Since the beginning I’ve had the pleasure of having Gabe as my server for soo many times. Always guides me well whenever I wanted to try something different, very attentive, and very personable.

Google
Perfect lunch spot for business with clients or if you’re in Waikiki as walking distance from Sheraton and Royal Hawaiian. Was at meetings with friend and this was perfect place to enjoy a Chianti and relax with some delicious Italian food. Service was wonder but would have appreciated a bit more crab in the pasta. That said, the sauce was delicious and pasta cooked perfectly.

Google
This place is comforting, food is ok and the service is great! Menu has a variety of different options from appetizers, entrees and 5 course meals. All the pasta is spaghetti except for the squid linguine which was good. I had the seafood pescatore the description read spicy, I immediately wanted to try it. When it arrived it was very greasey and had no spice what so ever. To me it tasted like Fideo which was not very impressive. Place was packed and it was vibing. Had a peach dessert and the dessert did not taste like fresh peaches. Establishment was very clean as well.

Google
This place was amazing!!! My mother was Sicilian so I know what good cooking is. From the Signature Taormini (made with blood orange puree), to the focaccia to the Nero frutti di mare, the drinks and food were prepared perfectly. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with friends and they bought out a warm chocolate cake on a plate that decorated beautifully for the occasion. If you’re in Honolulu, you have to make a reservation. You will not regret it! PS - Ask for Jess, she provided amazing service!!

Google
Very small dishes, crazy prices, not very tasty at all! Loved our server, he was amazing but the place was a bust. Total tourist trap!! We were shocked at the size of the pasta, we ordered two and the second one came out approximately 30 minutes after the first. Not good at all considering it was mine and my partners dinner. Didn’t even get to eat at the same time??

Google
We walked by this place several times and decided to stop in and what a wonderful little find. The food is just fantastic! Great wine selection. Our server, Mari, was just a joy. Pleasant and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

Google
Just wanted to chill and expected Gabriel as my server. Always attentive and on point how to take his diners. Good is always great, old style but never disappoint me. I had a pineapple mule and blood orange martini, vongole and bosco salad for my main. Love love love

Yelp
Everything was amazing! The ambience was intimate, the food spectacular and They even took special care of my celiacs and double checked ingredients in a drink to ensure my sobriety. Our server was so kind and offered to take pictures and when he found out we had just gotten engaged he had the kitchen wipe up something special. 10/10 will go back.

Yelp
Lived in east coast long enough then you would know immediately if a chef is serious when you fist bite into a plate of pasta or spaghetti. That delicate timing and execution of boiling noodle is often overlooked and overpowered by plating, decor, wine list,...and everything else. You know, that very basic things making the major difference. First bite made me went "wow"; my Granchio (spicy crab, $26) and friend's Truffle Carbonara (50% off lunch, $34) were both cooked PERFECTLY. Al dente might sound simple and easy in a pot of boiling water, but often time, it get ruined when finishing it pan with sauce. And that, did not happen to ours at Taormina. Our waiter, Gabriel, treated us like million bucks. Taormina comps parking (lunch time) at Wyndham, but I was having issue finding its entrance. Turned out, it's next left turn right behind Taormina's block which was very narrow and somehow marked as one way. Friend parked in Embassy (valet) which Taormina seems also comps it too. Kamaaina discount also applied.

Yelp
This is a long overdue review of Taormina. The review originally sat in my drafts and I forgot to post it. First off, I came here LAST YEAR for restaurant week with a couple of girlfriends. We enjoyed a special prix fixe menu and I've been meaning to find an excuse to come back. For appetizers we enjoyed the beef carpaccio which was excellent. The beef was prepared well with no gamey taste to the meat. The argula was fresh, peppery, and the drizzle of olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon was perfection. Although not regularly on the menu, I enjoyed the carbonara pasta as part of the prix fixe special. It was delicious. I'm hoping that the restaurant will consider adding the carbonara pasta to their regular line up. I noticed on the menu they have the truffle carbonara, but not the classic presentation. One of the ladies enjoyed the granchio and it looked beautifully done. I will need to order that next time! Lastly we finished off with tiramisu which was a perfectly sweet ending! Ambience is a bit crowded as the restaurant is located in the heart of Waikiki.

Yelp
We came to dine during lunch time and enjoyed their lunch special truffle carbonara risotto. In addition, we had crab spaghetti, claim pasta and mentaiko pasta. To finish up we also had the desert assorted. They validate parking in Wyndham valet.

Yelp
Tried the much-hyped uni pasta at this spot -- had to see what all the fuss was about. It was... okay. Not mind-blowing, but decent. The overall vibe is very upscale, almost fine-dining level. Service was top-tier: attentive, polished, and warm. Drinks were strong and well-crafted. Food, in general, was alright, but nothing that made me want to come running back. Still, glad I came and checked it out -- scratched the curiosity itch.

Yelp
The quality of food is still excellent! Had a special lunch today: I had the crab pasta with tomato cream sauce and my friend had the vongole pasta-both were full of flavor, yet the sauces were not overwhelming. It was perfect for us ladies, but men may have to supplement with a salad or appetizer. The focaccia was also yummy! Our server, Gabe was super attentive and sweet! The beautiful birthday dessert was absolutely delicious! Plus for Waikiki, valet parking is free at the Wyndham next door during the lunch hours.

Yelp
One of our go-to place when visiting Waikiki. My wife loves their Sea Urchin pasta. Very rich, delicious and a good portion size. I decided to get their lunch Prix Fixe. Beef Carpaccio was refreshing. My favorite was the Nero Frutti Di Mare (squid ink pasta). Really good flavor, not overwhelming or rich. It was perfect. Beef filet melts in your mouth. Very good service by Hayato. He is very nice and attentive. He saw my wife and I shared bites from our dishes. So he gave us extra plates and serving utensils. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting by the windows indoors or outside is the best.

Yelp
Walked past this place many times when visiting Waikiki and always been on my list. Finally got to try it to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a fun night and sitting outside was really nice! The food was good! But I think it's a little overpriced for what it was. I enjoyed the amberjack and beef carpaccio a lot. The seared duck was delicious too. And loved how the risotto had foie gras mixed into it. Their lamb chops were tender and juicy too. If you're in the area already, and feel like having a nicer dinner that night, it would be a good choice. I don't know if I would drive to Waikiki for it though.

Yelp
Taormina is a great Sicilian restaurant in the middle of Waikiki. The place is clean and modern, and the service is welcoming and efficient. At lunch they provide free focaccia with olive oil/balsamic vinegar and a passion fruit sorbet after the meal. The Siciliana pasta was excellent. Great spicy flavor with a unique sweet/spicy beef ragu sauce. It's not a huge portion but it's very good. The chicken alla Griglia was excellent. It's a huge piece of chicken, perfectly roasted and seasoned. It's very tender and flavorful. Really it's better than the pasta IMO. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Hawaii. Make a reservation because you probably won't get in without it.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Space is casual, yet upscale feel with nice table cloths and fantastic service! Ask for Gabe, he is the best server I've ever encountered. Very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
food and service back to back here (every year) love their uni pasta and desserts mahalo server really nice and very entertaining today is 10/22/25 lunch time sitting bybthe windows (front)

Nancy T.

Yelp
I am not sure how this place got such high reviews. The price for the food is absolutely not worth the amount and quality of what they serve. The portions are so tiny - it is for toddlers. For the price they charge - I would expect something a lot more decent portioned. Also at that price point- if it is going to be that small it should at least be some high end ingredients. The server was fine- she was not overly friendly and gave the I am here attitude because I have to be here. Sitting outside - the ambiance was more than lacking . It's like they threw a tent over the side and it's the parking garage. This is a hard no for me and will never be back. I truly am disappointed.

Yelp
Located on busy Lewers Street, at the end of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. This iconic Sicilian Restaurant has been in business since 2007! The cuisine has a strong Japanese influence and features delicious seafood dishes. I highly recommend their Nero Frutti de Mare, squid ink seafood pasta. They offer a great crab pasta, and outstanding uni spaghetti! Many of these pictures were from their pre fix Valentines Day menu. $125 King Salmon with Caviar, abalone, Nero Frutti de Mare, Filet Mignon, and Caramel custard.

Yelp
Best lunch spot on the island! If you live here, you have to take advantage of the Kama'Aina discount. All the pastas were delicious. They now serve lunch with chili oil. I recommend pouring it over everything! Service was amazing. They gave is free sorbet.

Yelp
This is a very popular Japanese Italian restaurant in the heart of Waikiki. I got the seafood pescatore and it came with a lot of seafood. I mean a LOT. I was disappointed with how salty the spicy tomato sauce was. It had a good seafood flavor, but I think it was reduced too far or something. Service is excellent. The waiter checked on us just enough to be attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance on the patio is not the best. You are along a service road leading into a parking structure so there is a lot of traffic and vehicle pollution while you dine. I personally was put off by that.
google avatar

Yelp
The best Italian food in Hawaii!! Everything on the menu tastes amazing!! Chef Hiro is awesome. The ambiance is phenomenal and the staff is super friendly. Finest ingredients from Italy. A great dinner in Waikīkī!
google avatar

Yelp
Pasta is pricey, and when considering the price point to the flavor of food, I found this spot to be pretty mid. Ambiance gives off fancy vibes, but volume inside is on the louder side. So it was hard for us to converse over dinner. Uni pasta, albeit beautifully presented, lacked in the uni flavor. The foie gras appetizer also fell flat, I wouldn't order it again. I most enjoyed their tiramisu dessert, which was light & creamy. I got a gin-based cocktail (their spin off the French 75), which wasn't bad either! But with so many amazing restaurants in Waikiki, it'll take a bit for me to come back here.

Yelp
Had another big event here with my dearest family from Japan. Food was amazing, never a disappointed moment here. Service is always the best here , this is the place to be for family functions.

Yelp
Service 5/5 -- Gabriel was super energetic, attentive, and accommodating. Food came out quickly Ambiance 5/5 -- Nicely decorated, were there around noon on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy Food 3.5 -- Arugula salad was refreshing, nice balance. Pomodoro was great, I would eat it again. Uni (sea urchin) pasta was super salty... We sent it back and got a bolognese, kitchen graciously remade my pomodoro as well so the food would arrive at the same time. Bolognese was very sweet but better tasting than the uni pasta. I wouldn't order the uni or bolognese again. We got a complimentary sorbet which was very tasty, refreshing, and not too sweet. Overall pleasant experience, mostly because of the service. Food was expensive and not very impressive. I would come back again if it were convenient and a happy hour situation.

Yelp
Gabe! I'd go back just to have his wonderful service! He was helpful in his suggestions on what to order. I ordered the $34 lunch special 7/25. And would order it again!
google avatar

Yelp
Food: Favorite: bolognese. I like to think of myself as a bolognese connoisseur as it's my favorite dish. This bolognese is one of my favorites that I've ever tried! It was that good! Would come back just for this dish. Crab pasta - very creamy and flavorful! I've also had the truffle pasta in the past. Personally I was disappointed with the truffle pasta. It was underwhelming in flavor and not worth the money. Would recommend bolognese over it! Service was amazing! So friendly and attentive! It's a nice quiet yet nice atmosphere! They also gave me a free birthday dessert! We will be returning :)

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Saturday and was lucky to get a table! It seems like reservations are a good call with Taormina, but luck was on our side. I ordered the Granchio pasta - which has crab meat and a tomato cream sauce. It was delicious! There was a little spice to the sauce which is always great. Flavor was on point. Slightly more upscale restaurant as it's located right on the Waikiki strip but had a calm and relaxing ambiance. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the mood for pasta while in Waikiki!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
Great Sicilian food! Came for lunch, service was great and so was the food. I got the regular carbonara and the table bread was delicious! Located on the main strip on Waikiki, so we walked to it. We were able to get seated in the late afternoon but it seems like reservations are recommended, closes in between lunch and dinner.
google avatar

Elsie Y.

Yelp
The grilled chicken with brown butter and caper sauce was amazing - wonderful depth of flavor, perfect grilled, yet tender and juicy. The siciliana was very good as well. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was very nice.

Yelp
Overdue post! I decided to go here for my birthday in November, and I can gladly say we made the right choice! We parked in the Royal Hawaiian and walked over to save ourselves the stress. Our waitress was a ray of sunshine- and everyone was very attentive: quick to refill our glasses, asked if we wanted more bread, and even gave us tips. If you order the clams, definitely ask for extra bread and dip the bread in the leftover butter sauce!!! I ordered the Bolognese Moderna. I've always liked bolognese pasta- but this one was a bit different in that it has some balsamic vinegar in it. Sooooo tasty! It's unfortunately (or fortunately?) become a flavor I crave I need to go back soon. They prepared a birthday dessert for me, in addition to our other dessert orders. The birthday dessert included a chocolate molten lava cake that was delicious! The only downside is that if you're seated in their outdoor space at night, it can be a bit dark- even with the table lamps. It was a bit difficult for my family members to see the menu- and sometimes it was hard to see the food too. That's my only reason for taking a star away since I can't do half-stars.
google avatar

Birdie J.

Yelp
I used to pass by this restaurant on my walks during my layovers (airline employee) and I always meant on trying this place out. Unbeknownst to me, my husband made reservations here for my 70th birthday celebration weekend!! Chisholm our waiter was fabulous! Very attentive and all knowing about the menu. We sat out on the patio. It was open to the street but then the staff lowered the blinds for more privacy which made it nice. Loved my birthday treat!!

Yelp
Unfortunately, this place missed the mark when it came to Italian dishes for me. We came with a party of 4 and after spending over $450 for dinner, I felt unamused. The bruschetta and clams were our first appetizers and the bruschetta was more like a Crustini topped with alfredo sauce w/scallops. I didn't read the description on the menu which was my fault. I expected balsamic which this restaurant loves to use, by the way, but didn't have any on the bruschetta or any tomatoes. It was sloppy with a lot of alfredo sauce, spinach and scallops. Not what you expect for a bruschetta. The clams lacked butter and umami. Husband ordered from the full course menu and ordered the filet mignon as an option. His first course of squid ink pasta with shrimp was actually pretty descent. The filet mignon had no flavor and had drizzled balsamic surrounding it. For some reason, the server didn't ask him how he wanted his steak which was probably because it was the size of his big thumb. LOL. It was super rare when it came out and hubby hates rare. The random mushroom and veggies that came with the filet again had no salt on them. No flavor whatsoever. I had the Seafood Pescatore which was extremely fishy. I love seafood pasta but this was extraordinarily fishy which didn't sit right with me. The pasta was cooked al dente which was great but the clams in there had a few sand in there that I crunched into. Was unpleasant for sure. Other parties at our table had the duck and the risotto. The duck was surrounded with what seemed like oyster sauce and tasted like a Chinese dish. I didn't feel like it represented any Italian dish in any way. Unfortunately, this is not going to be one of the Italian restaurants we will be visiting again. (Especially in Waikiki).

Yelp
My friend recommended this place to me previously and I was finally able to visit. I had an overall very pleasant experience dining here. My partner booked a reservation for us (first date at the time hah) here and we were VERY late (his fault smh). I was very hesitant to go and want to just go somewhere else at that point as I didn't want to be "one of those people", but he said to just treat it as any walk in. We went in and were able to get seated fairly quickly. The ambiance felt very classy, along with my view of the kitchen from my seat which was very cool. As someone who is VERY indecisive, I took a while just sitting there with the menu. After speaking to the waiter, he recommended for us to try the prix-fixe menu and choose different times for the second and main course so we (especially indecisive little me) can try it all. Food highlights: Ricci Di Mare (Sea Urchin Pasta) 8.9/10 it was delicious, very flavorful and definitely had a lasting impression. Only issue I had with this dish was the oil started to separate from the pasta/sauce/uni. That is usually a high of being slightly overdone. This became quite obvious and pretty visually unappealing at the end of this course. Truffle Carbonara 9.2/10 this was delicious as well. Personally, I do not get the appeal of the truffles. I jokingly even said to the waiter that it gives the note of... dirt... maybe a bit inappropriate for me to say but I was just being honest haha. Regardless, the carbonara was still hir between us and I kept finding myself picking at it instead of my sea urchin pasta. Grilled Monchong 8.6/10 delicious, nothing mind blowing but the fish was perfectly tender and flaky and flavored very well. Lamp Chop I cannot give a proper rating because I barely remember the one bit I had. It was fine I think? Presentation was funny though, as the thyme was lit and smoking when it arrived. Where is my smoking thyme?? jkjk. We were stuffed and the tiramisu was more than enough to finish the meal off. I would love to come back again the next time I get the chance to!

Yelp
Second time eating here and it did not disappoint. Spectacular food and service as we have come to expect here. Delicious carbonara and bolognese. The drinks and wine were amazing as well. Gabriel was a spectacular server, fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend coming here for some great Sicilian food.

Yelp
This is a great place to try in waikiki. There is validated parking, making it easy to park. Service is always great, and the food is delicious. They start you off with housemade bread, and it was s warm and fluffy. I got the grilled fish, and it was perfectly prepared, not dry at all. The tiramisu is light and has a great coffee flavor.

Yelp
My family and I came here for lunch one day and loved it! The food was a mix of Italian food and seafood! Our server was Gabe, he was so nice and kind to our family, we even got an anniversary dessert for free. He was so kind a generous we will recommend him every time we come! They have a nice outdoor patio, and a nice dining area inside. I really recommend the salmon and the grilled chicken! They taste delicious and mind blowing! I would love to come back to this place!!!

Yelp
Best Italian I've had in years and exceptional service. Get the uni pasta! I am coming here every time to Hawaii.

Yelp
What an amazing lunch experience! The sangria drink has a pleasant taste of citrus fruits mixed with fragrant spices that its fragrance travels up to the senses as it goes down. What a pleasant sensation. It was delicious, cooling and welcoming. My Truffle Carbonara was creamy, tasty, the egg yoke added thickness to the sauce. The server shaved an entire truffle thinly into my carbonara. It was the best pasta I have had. The portion size was perfect. I was full and satisfied but not uncomfortably stuffed, and had room for dessert. The dessert had to be the homemade tiramisu. The first bite was heaven! It was light and creamy with Chocolate coffee dust on top, dipped into the slightly sweet and sour fruit sauce, it was heaven. We also had the Eggplant Caponata to start. The eggplant was chilled, flavorful and soft. The seared Foie Gras was fresh, buttery and creamy. Hubby loved his risotto with a piece of seared Foie Gras on top. We finished with 2 espressos, served in two cute little espresso cups. Sitting by the floor to ceiling window people watching was fun. The service was great and food came out at the right speed.

Yelp
Food was just as good or even better than the last time. Service is still amazing and the ambiance was perfect for reuniting and catching up! We always go when we are in town and it never disappoints!! Took two local friends this time and they have never been and now love it too!! Wish it was closer than a plane ride away!

Yelp
This was a great restaurant to find. Luckily, we had made reservations prior to coming here and it was a good thing we did. To start, we ordered "A Taste of Italy". My friend and I are huge prosciutto fans so we were excited to try this. When the plate came, we received the 2 smallest pieces of prosciutto one can cut. This is mainly why I have 4 stars instead of 5. For $24, it should have been at least 2 normal slices of meat if not more. The burrata was good as well. We both ordered the Bolognese Moderna which we absolutely loved. Had a taste of vinaigrette which made the dish different. Our server was Gabe who did a great job and was very attentive and upbeat. It was warm inside the restaurant at first but I asked if they could lower the temperature. I am not sure if they did but the temperature did get better after a while.

Yelp
I took the hubby here for dinner recently for his birthday. The service was exceptional and the food was above average. I dined here before and remembered the food being better. Maybe they were having an off night. We ordered the Insalata Rucola, Steamed Clams, Pomodoro and Seafood Pescatore. They brought out the complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. The bread was so good. It was soft and warm. Our server kept bringing out the bread. We must have had like eight pieces. The Insalata Rucola salad was delicious. It had arugula, cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, blood orange slices, walnuts with a blood orange vinaigrette. The ingredients went well together. I love blood orange and the little pieces of walnuts gave it crunch. The Steamed Clams were tossed in garlic, white wine, basil, butter and olive oil. I love clams and it was nice how they took the time to stack it. We found a lot of empty shells. The broth was overly salty. My hubby likes his food salty. He always uses salt or soy sauce on everything. Even he commented that the broth was so salty. The hubby got his Pomodoro with burrata cheese for an uncharge of $8. The cheese is from Italy and it really made the dish. I highly recommend getting it with the Pomodoro. The Pomodoro was tossed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomato sauce and basil. I tasted it and it was terrific. My Seafood Pescatore had clams, shrimp, scallops and crab in tomato sauce. Again, it was on the salty side. There were minimal shreds of crab that I could barely make out. It was better the last time I ordered it. They brought out a complimentary dessert on a glass plate for his birthday which was a nice touch. It was a mini piece of chocolate cake and it was delicious.

Yelp
It'd been over 10 years since the last time I came here. I always sat outside seats but this time we were seated right by the kitchen in the back. A little busy area than I preferred but we didn't bother to ask to change. The service was fast and attentive. However, one huge disappointment was a pour size of wine. It had to be about 4 oz because I know I drink wine often and weigh it when I do. So that was the first and last glass that I had and I ordered a beer after that. As for food, we both had a pre-fixed course and I selected Beef Carpaccio, Nero Frutti Di Mare (squid ink linguine with seafood and tomato sauce), Filet Di Manzo (filet mignon with grilled vegetables), and Passion Fruit Sorbet instead of Tiramisu as I'm a lactose intolerant. They were all delicious and I appreciated the Al Dente perfectly cooked pasta. Overall, this place was still wonderful just like 10+ years ago. I took one star off for the wine pour size. I'd like to come back again to try other menu items.

Yelp
Our friend came from Canada, and he love Italian foods, so we made reservations for my friends to celebrate his BD tonight, so we had to check it out on Saturday's night. Every single items that we ordered was so delicious, we had a young gentleman did an awesome job serving us, the foods arrive very quickly and in time, he did an excellent job when he was try help us to cut the birthday cake nicely. We really enjoyed the dinner everything foods and the service was great. We really enjoyed the night while we got seat the table outside the patio area. We had an awesome table and they made the night very memorable. We will be back soon!!!

Yelp
The food was mid. It is expensive considering the quality of the food. The focaccia bread was a bit dry. The seafood pescatore wasn't great, the noodles were more undercooked than al dente since there were some crunchy bits and it tasted more than just slightly under done. And I now understand that one review that talked about the crunchy bits in the clams that felt like sand. It was very off putting. It's a bit disappointing to spend that much money expecting quality food and getting that. Only reason I would give it two stars instead of one is because of our server Gabriel. He was very welcoming, patient, and kind. Overall, the food was disappointing and the experience/ service wasn't great (minus our server, who was the only good part of the night).

Yelp
Let me start by saying I hate writing bad reviews, but I do feel like people need to know what they're getting ourselves into. This restaurant has decent to mediocre food, but the service is terrible!! Amanda, our server was absolutely horrible. Not only did she walk away from our table many times - while we're speaking to her!! & then she avoided questions(like what do you recommend) and was annoyed with us even asking her what was good on the menu. Another employee walked up and talked negatively about another table while she was standing in front of our table. What a horrible look! For the price I would recommend many other places nearby.

Yelp
Tried to catch a vibe here, wanted to check out some different (e.g., sea urchin) menu options here as they were unique and overall, wanted to test if the higher-price tag justified the dishes. Overall, was a good meal just couldn't find that 'oomph' to put it over the top. Fresh pasta/homemade should.

Yelp
The food and service is always AMAZING. When making a reservation ask to be seated in Gabe's section he is by far the best server I have ever had at any restaurant ever.

Yelp
Got the full course meal. It was not worth it lol. Service was good. Our waiter was vigilant. However the food came out very very slow. It was a little stuffy inside. Got a nice table by the window. was a little cramped. There doesn't seem to be a lot of seating in this place.

Yelp
Had some of the least inspiring pasta at Taormina. The truffle pasta currently on special used truffles that have long passed their prime and was filled with synthetic truffle oil. That's cheating. The seafood pescatore was equally disappointing. The seafood looked and tasted like previously frozen seafood. The appetizers were better than the main courses. The meal was truly disappointing.

Yelp
This Sicilian restaurant is to die for. It's located in the heart of waikiki and a little expensive but definitely worth the money. For such a high end restaurant, the food portion was a lot. I am still salivating over how tasty the beef carpaccio was. I wish I would've ordered a full order. It was the perfect juxtaposition between citrusy and earthy. The poached egg in the carbonara was a game changer for me. It was a rich dish but not too rich where you want to vomit after. In addition, we had the most friendliest waitress. I think her name was Amanda (?). She was so kind and attentive. Overall, my experience was 10/10. Would recommend for those who are looking for a good Sicilian / pasta place. Pricey but so worth it.
