Very nice cozy and comfortable place!! Staff is very friendly, great music and Alexandra was an awesome server to us. The crispy rice salmon was very very yummy as well as the truffle sandwich, which came with the juiciest and tenderest meat I could ask for. Everything came quickly and the service is very efficient. I’ve had a drink with cucumber that I would never order if it wasn’t for Alexa’s advice and it was indeed all I was asking for: refreshing and delicious. Will go back for sure!

Tap 42 in Fort Lauderdale offers a really nice ambiance with quality decor and a chill atmosphere. The service was excellent — attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. The music added to the vibe without being overpowering, and it wasn’t overly packed, which made for a more enjoyable experience. Food-wise, it was decent. I’m not much of a brunch person, but what I had was okay — nothing mind-blowing, but solid enough. Prices were on the higher side for a typical American spot, which is something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s a great spot to meet friends for brunch or grab a casual drink in a comfortable, upbeat setting. I’d go back for the ambiance and service alone.

This small local chain is a great place to hang out with the guys and watch a game. Lots of TVs and big beer selection. I really enjoyed the food. The cheesesteak egg rolls are awesome! Guacamole is excellent. My drunken goat burger was very good. The Mac and cheese had major cheese! And the sweet potato fries has a cinnamon dusting that blew my mind

Love love love this spot!! We didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The chicken & waffles were AMAZING. Mimosa’s are perfect. This is exactly what we were looking forward to for brunch. The service was awesome too. Really enjoyed my visit here with friends!

Wqs in town for work found this restraunt. I'm glad I did. The service was great. The food wasnall very good. Good selection of draft beer and cocktail drinks. Stephanie did a great job. They have inside and outside seating available. Definitely recommend if your in the area!

Had a very nice dinner with my kids in the outside patio (inside seemed loud). I enjoyed the rib and chicken tenders and a beer and everyone was very happy with their meals. Service was very good. I'd go back!

Always a good time at Tap 42 regardless of the location you visit. This time, we came to their Fort Lauderdale one. This one has parking right next door to it so yay! Service was prompt and friendly. The food was good. Tasty, the short rib sliders were a little dry but very tasty. The calamari was fried to perfection but the best part? The bed of coleslaw it came in. You may be able to have a couple of drinks and share some apps instead of ordering a meal. The mocha espresso martini was delicious (hint hint) The burrata chicken parm was nice. I didn’t realize it was burrata so it kept throwing me off. I can’t remember what we had for dessert other than it was chocolate and it came with ice cream. Glad we came here.

I’ve never been to a Happy Hour with a more insane offer! $35 for all you can drink or you call it from 4:00-7:00pm. Most drinks are included and the staff puts emphasis on getting them to you in a timely manner. The menu is large and offers a number of options to enjoy. The outdoor space is covered so you’re safe from the elements.

Stephanie was amazing during our visit. She offered a sample of the tarpon river honey love. It was good but not what I was looking for, each course was timed perfectly. Our server was very attentive. Just all around great time was had and a special thanks to Lee Hunter.

Saturday, May 25, 2024, was my 1st time visiting Tap 42 as I was in town from Houston, spending time with a friend. I had the chicken and waffles with the strawberry kush cocktail. I was a bit skeptical of the cbd infusion and basil foam of the cocktail, but I trusted Kyle's recommendation, and I am so glad I did. The cocktail was amazing, and I will definitely have it again. The food and beverage were lovely, but this review is about our waiter, Kyle. Kyle's level of customer service was impeccable. I am from Houston, where customer service and southern hospitality are the norm. Meeting Kyle and his friendly; approachable, kind, and professional demeanor was such a welcome for this southern belle . Kyle is the type of person who will succeed in any and everything he puts his mind to. His eye and attention to detail, coupled with his ability to connect with his customers to make us feel seen, heard, and validated, is a superpower. In this time when customers have infinite choices where to spend our money and our time; customer service makes the difference. Kyle is the type of employee you maximize to the fullest and place into leadership. Thank you, Kyle, for taking such food care of us. Mark our words, we will read about you in Forbes. I came here for a gathering and they ordered a bunch of appetizers for us. I tried the guacamole which was great and I also had the spicy salmon crunchy rice. It's squares of salmon on top of a crunchy rice cake. It's been many years since I've been here. In the past I always loved their lamb burger. They have a small parking lot next door and then there's also street parking.

It's been a while since I've been to Tap42 and things have taken a turn. I took a seat at the bar and was totally ignored unless I asked the bartender a question. The bartenders seemed to be running around doing sidework rather than attending to customers. I still love the dark and intimate ambiance. I have been a fan of the Prohibition Burger since they opened, so that's what I ordered. The burger was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned but so very greasy! They must have changed the meat quality or marble. The bottom bun and plate were sopping wet with grease. The fries were average, but I suspect they are frozen now because when they got cold they were very tough. I ordered a Negroni worth a twist and got a whole orange wedge. The bathroom stalls are so small the doors were an inch away from the toilet. Honestly, I'm disappointed because Tap42 had the best burgers and drinks in town. I gave three stars because of the temp and seasoning of the burger and the ambiance, but I hope they go back to their roots and what made them so special when they first opened.

Expansive outside patio area to socialize, eat and drink. Decent size interior restaurant and beautiful bar. Large new upstairs Bar Rita also. The Prohibition Burger was juicy and the Guava Spritz cocktail was perfect. Our server, Kyle, was professional and friendly. The prices are competitive. Too bad they got rid of the $5 Prohibition Burger on Mondays, but its a higher price now. The bathrooms were very clean. Will return.

Brought our pup after a visit to the dog park. We sat outdoors and it's very comfortable. Theres fans and it's covered so the elements are not an issue. Our waitress was incredible. I wish i asked her name. She was super personable, adorable and helpful with ordering. We got water for the pooch and a chicken breast and rice. He was very happy. My partner ordered a sushi bowl and he seemed to enjoy it. I had the prohibition burger with a side of slaw. It was fabulous. I ate every bite of food and was in burger heaven. The menu is great and I would go back and try other items when I'm back in the area.

I came here with friends after our meeting for food and beverages. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive. Will be back again. The ambience was great. It was too loud today.

Went here during Happy Hour on a Friday. We sat inside but the outside was really nice too. Our server was Monica and she was wonderful. I had the Drunken Goat burger with a side of Cesar salad. Both were fantastic. My husband had the Southern Fried Chicken Salad and said it was excellent. Can't wait to go back and try more. Also I thought the value for the quality of food was outstanding.

Chicken tender melt sandwich, didn't have any flavour probably because the bun was not toasted or warmed up .Truffle fries were drenched with truffle oil. Carry out packaging was great but no napkins or utensils. Cost $21.00. Great Ambiance inside with outdoor seating. I may not go back.

My recent visit to Tap 42 left much to be desired. Despite having positive experiences at other locations, this particular branch fell short with slow service and mediocre food. While our waitress was friendly, the overall dining experience didn't justify the high price. The food was average, lacking the wow factor expected at that cost. In comparison to other dining options available, I wouldn't choose to return to this Tap 42 location, as I believe better value and quality can be found closer to home.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to my server Monica from this past Sunday night! She provided amazing service, she's so attentive and gracious with her tables. The food and the ambiance were also great here and we will definitely be coming back!

I really enjoy tap 42s daily specials. Their good is always really nice considering it's a bar atmosphere. The menu has a little of everything. Burgers are generally cooked correctly and the cocktails are nice. I usually get wine. The outside area is very LOUD from the speakers. Last night they weren't too busy outside and we could barely speak to each other from the noise. That was pretty uncomfortable. But manageable. I think the biggest improvement this place could make is their service. I've been to this particular location half a dozen times and have yet to have good service. Understandable when they're really busy, but waiting half an hour on a check with a table full of dirty dishes that needed to be cleared wasn't cool. We were forgotten about twice, and our server came once to check on us. I had to get up and get water refills from the bartender twice, making it a total of 4 times I left my seat. I waited 10 minutes on change bc I paid with cash (in the biz), and when I walked up for the 5th time to check on it, my server was joking with the host. We were forgotten about again. Maybe it was a bad night for her. I will probably go back for a decent special but it's not really a place on the forefront of my mind to dine at. Service can make our break your experience, and it definitely broke ours:(

I have been visiting this tap 42 location since the place opened many years back. It was always my go to casual place to easily get a table and enjoy some cocktails and appetizers. After moving out of town I have not been to this location in probably two years. I am currently visiting ftl and decided to dine at the Fort Lauderdale location on a friday evening. I made a reservation for three at 7:45 pm. We arrived a about ten minutes late but were quickly seated inside. The place had a decent crowd but it wasn't packed by any means. Our server greeted us and asked if we would like some water. We waited a while after being seated to get any sort of service and it took 25 minutes to receive our beer and frozen rose after being seated-- which shouldn't take long considering they are not mixed cocktails. We ordered the chicken sandwich, sliders, and the steak sand which with truffle fries. The food came out shortly after receiving our beverages. I did not receive truffle fries but the servers quickly brought out another order. The food was good but not really worth the price. I do not remember tap 42 being so expensive as the bill ended up being around $150. I don't mind paying for a good meal but when the service sucks, it makes me not want to come back to this location. I will be choosing the aventura location in the future if i decide to come back.

Tap 42 is a trendy restaurant a bit away from downtown crowds. Decent portions. Plenty of parking. Their chicken and waffles were great. They also have CBD drinks.

Before heading on our cruise, we went to Tap 42 at the recommendation of four other cruisers we ran into this morning. At their recommendation we tried the truffle filet steak sandwich. We showed up quite early, about 4 PM, and were quickly seated. We ate at an inside table near the bar which opens to outdoor seating. We're pretty sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke which is common in the outdoor bar area, but rarely had a whiff at our table. Alexandra, our waitress, was the best - intent on making sure we were happy. And boy were we happy. Roberto the manager checked in on us a couple of times and was also very friendly. It has been a while since I enjoyed such a well-prepared dinner at a restaurant. We ate till we were full and kept on eating just for the pleasure of it! The ambiance was casual chic. Every person we interacted with was upbeat and pleasant. We cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale often and will add Tap 42 to our routine whenever we're heading out on future cruises. Don't go here looking for bargains. Look for great food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere - you'll get what you pay for.

I'm going to get right to it - Tap 42 has the best guacamole I have ever had in my life. That's it! That's the review! Ok, but in case people want to know more ... The Blueberry margarita was delicious, and the grilled wings were cooked perfectly. We went during happy hour, and while the prices are pretty good for the bites , the portions are small. The service was great, and we loved everything that was recommended. The indoor bar was full, but there was plenty of seating at the outdoor bar. Will definitely be going again for the chips and guacamole.

After a jury duty dismissal and some shopping done for someone else, I decided to relax and enjoy some eats and maybe a couple of drinks. I passed by this place many times and figured why not try? It's a chain, I realized, but this place was also next to Bar Rita, which I thought I was going to, but I stayed here regardless. Kelli at the bar greeted me. I decided on the spicy tuna tartare appetizer, something I don't think I could dare risk making at home. It takes a lot of not just preparation but food safety risk when it comes to raw meat in the mix -- I let the pros handle that for me.. lol. I'm not cheap, but I sure would not want to spend 15 bucks for just house salad (or even other ones with meat -- they seemed boring) instead of what I ordered. Not that it matters to most, but might bother some of you -- they probably forgot to update the price of the item I ordered on the menu. I'm willing to let it go for the extra .50 extra instead of trying to get it back. Spelling mistakes bother me more. Life goes on. The malanga chips were plenty and were a nice touch for presentation before I destroyed this along with the one tall drink I washed then down with. The drink Kelli made for me was a good balance -- not too sweet but not weak, either. Check was quickly received while I was still enjoying the esthetically presentable and yummy tartare, but everyone else also had the check in the little glass next to their side. It wouldn't bother me as I was gonna head out soon anyways, but what if you also wanted dessert? Wouldn't the be a waste of paper? Just a thought. If someone else invited me there, sure, I'll go again, but that's about it.

Such a fun Brunch vibe! A group of my friends took me to Tap 42 to celebrate my Birthday. We were originally seated outside, but the sun and heat were a bit much. Thankfully the hostesses were able to move our party of 6 inside. Our server was friendly, but service ran a bit slow drink wise. The food was good, but think for brunch, a few more breakfast type sides would be a great addition to the menu. I had the Avocado Smash Toast, which was just ok. My friend had the Green Eggs and Ham Benedict. I stole a bite and it was tasty. Overall, great vibe with a DJ on site. I will warn that for bigger parties, they add 18%, which is standard, bit they have an additional tip suggestion that is still based off full amount plus the gratuity. Those with beer goggles on or who partake in the Bottoless option at Brunch, beware.

Nice space with a decent patio. Enjoyed a few beers and their wings - wings were tasty but I do wish they'd just toss the wings in the bbq sauce they give. Appreciate the friendly bartender who served us and patiently walked us through beer options and food suggestions.

Amazing atmosphere and great service, we definitely enjoyed our time there for brunch. I would recommend the Chicago style steak and eggs along with the spicy salmon crispy rice. Plus the mimosas kept coming without even having to ask for the next one. Loved it!

Been a while since I worked downtown and used to frequent this place for an occasional lunch. Well, it was even better than I remembered , went with an old friend and we had quite the enjoyable lunch. He had the tuna salad which he went on and on how good it was, fresh, etc and we are both fishing addicts so he knows fresh fish. I wasn't starving so just had the chicken tender appetizer. It was more than enough for a meal and it was tender , juicy, flavorful, crispy ! Outstanding on both dishes . Don't think this place just has bar food, it is really top notch! Service? Wow! Can't say enough, we had Alexandra , she was absolutely amazing, greeted us with a warm smile and gave us outstanding service with an exemplary attitude, friendly , welcoming and trying to insure we had what we needed when we needed it. Hats off to management , this place ran like a well oiled machine! It was nice to sit outside in shaded covered area with big ceiling fans so it was easy to carry on our conversation. Easy parking so no cons that I have to report. Place was very clean, nice presentation on the food, very happy and will be repeat customer!

This original Tap 42 has been around for years and still maintains its charm. It has a cute patio with bistro lights, and is great for Florida brunch. This is a great place for both tourists and locals - conveniently located near downtown Ft. Lauderdale on Andrew's. Parking is usually a little tough, but there are some street spots for overflow parking and valet right Nextdoor at Barrita. Their guacamole is the best - with cheese and corn, it's a jazzed up guac. Good drink specials, too! I got their Impossible French Dip, which was a nice variety from the typical veggie burger. To upgrade a side from French fries is only a $1 up charge, so I recommend getting a fancier side, like their artichoke or Brussels sprouts!

Thank you very much Kyle for the excellent service and the great drinks from the bar! We sat at the host stand next door for 5 min and no one even approached us. After seating us we went 15 mins without seeing a waiter or waitress. So yes Kyle you were a breathe of fresh air. After our poor experience at Bar Rita.

Service was ok but quality of dishes as described on the menu fell short of expectations. Food was either extremely overcooked or soaked with dressing.

Great brunch. The music was jumping and good. I never had such great tasting calamari. It was memorable as well as the fact they bring the bottle of champagne for you to make your mimosas which cuts down on the wait time for refills. Everything was really good, and we sat on the outdoor patio where it was good vibes and sunny breeze. This is definitely a good brunch spot for celebrations, dates etc.

We were looking for a great burger and I think we found one of the BEST around Ft Lauderdale! 40 beers on tap, delish food, fantastic service! Outdoor seating is very nice and they are dog friendly on the patio!

This is a challenging review to write, as it's a combination of different scores. - Food was 4.5 stars; my rainbow sushi bowl and Asian slaw were delicious, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their burgers - Service was 2 stars; our waitress was very slow (an hour after we arrived, we still hadn't gotten any food) and she shouted a lot, which we didn't care for - The high chairs were completely impossible for me to use, being short. Once I got up on the chair I couldn't reposition it. 1 star End result is that I would not return to this restaurant.

Great for big groups/birthdays. Wasn't too busy which was nice too. Food was very good and the menu had several things I wanted to try. Drinks were made very well. I would go back!

I just came home from a date and it's...ok "I wouldn't take you to a place that doesn't have vegan options" he said, and there's only 3 dishes that are vegan Nicole, our waitress, was nice. She didn't feel like she was just doing her job, she felt like she was one of us and having her as our "server" was honestly better than the food. The atmosphere is pretty nice, I loved the black light painting and the food...is ok! I can make the same quality of salad at home. I got the Quinoa Superfoods salad which honestly, I could do (and have done better) Oh and I wanted the desert but I was shit out of luck! All of them had egg or milk in them! I was a sad puppy starring at my date eat fresh ice cream/cookie in front of me and I couldn't get in on it. Would I go back? Not for the food, but for Nicole.

The weekends they have a brunch menu from 11-2 or 3. They have really good chicken tenders. Our server was really cool, we received a free green tea shot from her. I ordered a blueberry mojito and it was so good! They have good music playing as well. Good place to eat and watch Saturday football

This is a convenient local spot that easy but tonight I ordered a glass of wine at the bar. My intention was to eat dinner but the overwhelming smell of inexpensive truffle oil/aioli and cigarette smoke from the outside connected bar was nauseating on an empty stomach. My advice is to 86 the truffle oil altogether. It's had its moment and it's not worth having the entire restaurant smell like this. It always has but now I find it to be offensive. They offer truffle oil on a few items. Trust me. There's a million ways to sell Mac n cheese that are better without truffle oil. If you've done research on truffle oil you'd know that what we get here is a synthetic version. And I think it's time for a menu revision. I live 2 minutes away. Usually tolerate the overwhelming truffle oil smell but added to the 2 guys smoking at the bar and it was enough for me to leave. Change is important in dining.

We went to this place for the first time. Really nice staff, amazing food (wings, fried chicken salad, rice salmon bites, Asian wagyu noodle bowl, and strawberry tres leches), and amazing ambiance. Will definitely be back to try more things soon!

Went there for their Monday Burger special. It's a great deal 50% off the Prohibition burger after 4pm. You can get it at the bar (so you can also enjoy some happy hour apps) or at the table. Either way, their drink specials are available. I found the burger, large, juicy, tasty and delicious. I would get this again, over and over. I was not happy with the tostones, they came raw inside, while the outside was crisp. I had to send them back and get the fries instead. The fries are ok, not excellent (not very crispy). Several of their draft beers are among my favorites, including the Floridian. The servers seem to work together, so if you need anything, just wave at any of them and they will be able to help you, unlike other places, where you have to talk to your one particular server. Lots of parking.

The food was Wonderful and device was great .way better than the Davie location would never go back to that one .

Just ate dinner here, the worst food! The chicken was so burnt it was not edible, then was covered in cheese to hide the burnt. We ordered a filet, they never brought the side it came with but charged for the steak dinner that was only half a dinner. So of 4 people in our party, only 2 got edible meals. The Caesar salad had so much dressing on it you needed a spoon to eat it. Save your money, do not eat here. Terrible service. Manager took 15% off bill, not right when one meal was very burnt and one was not complete.

A group of friends asked me where I would like to go for my birthday brunch. I had been to this Tap 42 location for the first time I. April for my son's birthday gathering, and I really enjoyed the entire experience. This time was not good. Our waitress was Kattie. We ordered our drinks. My drink, rum and sprite were perfect. The other 4 were not over joyed with theirs. We ordered our food, and 3 of us ordered the Prohibition (cheese burger with all the topping) medium well. Our burgers were rare (see pic). I was so hungry I ate the edges of my burger. I did advise our waitress that our burgers were rare, and we all ordered medium well. Our waitress first noticed that Krystal did not eat her burger. She only ate the edges like i did. .She asked her if she wanted her to order her another one or something else. Krystal said no. She then asked Kryatal if she would like one ro fo. Krystal accepted. (I only found this out after we left) As she was clearing the table, I told her to tell the cook that a medium well burger should be cooked no less than 6 minutes on each side. I said this was rare. She asked if I was a chef. I didn't answer. She said that she would tell the cook. I later learned that another one of my friends told the waitress it was my birthday and did the celebrate birthdays. She said yes, she would bring out a bread pudding. My friend asked if it would be enough for the 5 of us. She said yes and that she would bring 5 spoons. My friend said great. We never got the bread pudding.

I LOVE their burger but management really needs to get their fly problem under control. I've come here dozens of times sat inside outside taken work clients here and the reality is over the last 2 years I've seen no improvement. It's honestly embarrassing the amount of work lunches sitting outside and not even being able to eat our food in peace because blow flies were attacking us. Came in again recently and the same story sat inside and I can't remember it being this bad inside!!! Management pls get this under control this is definitely a sanitization violation- I love tap and would hate to see it go down hill bc of this

Fun place for brunch. Service is not great. I think they need more servers (especially during brunch rush).

Stopped by while on vacation. Great experience. Huge place with lots of outdoor seating. Had a few specialty cocktails both were well constructed and delicious. Has the spinach and artichoke dip and it was outstanding. I had the fish and chips, fried mahi mahi with light crispy breading. The Oriental slaw was also light and refreshing. Pretty cool vibe and our waitress despite it being her 4th day was great!

Loads of taps to consider and the food was super delicious, especially the southwest chopped salad

My boyfriend & I had a great experience here, we went on Sunday around noon. It's also super close to the airport so a lot of ppl were coming in with their suitcases. There was a dj mixing music so the vibes were there. We both enjoyed our food but did not like our drinks. The frozen mango margarita tasted like burnt wood. And the forzé didn't really have any flavor at all.

4.5 stars. Food is always good. Located in the neighborhood with outdoor seating! Servers are excellent, bartenders are busy making great drinks The hostess is required to direct you to the busy bartender (per management) for pick up orders.... rethink this system.

Absolutely love Tap 42. I come here strictly for their chicken tenders and sweet potato fries they're so good and seasoned perfectly. Today I also tried the bread pudding which was amazing it was the perfect combo of chocolate, bread and salted caramel I defintely will get it again. I also tried the corn and bacon guacamole which was also very good I think the combo of bacon and corn really made a addition to the guacamole.
