The Campus Lounge Is Back (Again) in Bonnie Brae - Eater Denver

"Belleview Station arrival Adding to its sister locations in Highland and Sloan’s Lake, Tap & Burger has arrived in the Tech Center at Belleview Station, 4910 South Newport Street. The new restaurant will serve grass-fed beef from Western Daughters. Veggie options include the Impossible Burger and a red curry quinoa bowl, among other choices. New to the menu are booze-optional milkshakes inspired by 'Pulp Fiction' — the Marcellus Wallace is a blend of Fernet, Bailey’s, vanilla ice cream, and mint leaf." - Rebecca Treon

Man that was the best food I’ve had in a while We ordered a shroom luvas and tap house smash 5 wings beer and a shot on happy hour and tangerine cream with hot fries and I had coleslaw just gotta say delicious everything was fresh and hot. Waitress Tara was amazing and all around great atmosphere!!! 5 stars so recommend

Google
The service was disappointing. They failed to inform us about the 20% service fee upfront. We ordered burgers, but they were undercooked and seemed steamed rather than grilled. When we brought this up with the manager, she was unhelpful and rude. We ended up eating half the burgers before throwing them away. Overall, not recommended.

Google
First time here and honestly pretty disappointed. I’ve never written a review this fast! We came in today (Sunday) and it was not busy at all. The girl who sat us said “I’m not your server, but I can start you off.” We were told to scan a QR code for the menu and a disclaimer immediately pops up saying a 20% gratuity will automatically be added. I have no issue tipping 20% or more for good service, but the service here was honestly terrible. We ordered through the QR code, but nobody checked on us for almost 20 minutes. A sweet girl who wasn’t even our server happened to walk by and helped us out. If it wasn’t for her, I’m not sure anyone would’ve ever come by. Meanwhile, we saw other tables who just got seated getting immediate service. We were sitting directly across from the bar, and one of the bartenders kept glancing at us but never acknowledged us, then we saw him leave the bar area to check on another table and refill their drinks. We never found out who our real server was, and we kept having to flag down the girl who initially sat us. The food was just okay. Black & Bleu burger was super salty. Onion rings were alright but not as crispy as I’d expect. Definitely not worth the price or experience. It’s crazy to automatically expect 20% gratuity when the service is this bad.

Google
First time there and I will never be back. Service was below average and we had to send our appetizer plates back because they all were either wet or had food stains on them. I asked for extra napkins and was told “they are up by the bar if you want them.” We ordered our burgers medium rare and all four came back well done. Then to top it all off, we were hit with a mandatory 20% service fee that was a complete shock to us. They took the decision to tip away from us, which we would have done anyway. It is not the customer’s job to make sure the front and back house staff are equally compensated. I’ve seen 5% service charges before, but 20% is ridiculous, especially when you aren’t made aware of it up front. This may have been the shadiest business practice I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. Harsh review, but eating out is expensive these days. If you are going to spend $180+ for a family of four on burgers, fries and 5 beers, you deserve to be blown away by the experience.

Niles was AMAZING! So attentive, informative, and all around awesome. The food was spectacular, and bingo was the bomb!

Google
Tap & Burgers bar is a delightful spot for burger aficionados. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of sizzling patties tantalizes your senses. The food is undeniably amazing, with each bite bursting with flavor. But it's not just the food that shines; the service is exceptional too. Our waitress was both friendly and professional, ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of stellar. However, there were a couple of minor hiccups. The happy hour menu and hours weren't entirely accurate, which could be a tad disappointing for those seeking deals. Yet, the shining star of our visit was undoubtedly the supervisor, Mikki. Her attentiveness and helpfulness turned our slight inconvenience into a non-issue. Kudos to her for her outstanding service. Overall, Tap & Burgers is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts, offering a delicious culinary experience with top-notch service.

Google
First time eating here & we won't go back. We went there according to the stars and also out of curiosity. We had to ask and wave down a waiter several times to get a refill. We finally got a refill when we were done with our meal. Our soda was $4 each, which is not marked on the menu. Our 20 % graditude was $7. We spent $42 for 2 classic burgers plus 2 sodas and gratitude.

Yelp
After a 5-year boycott from our last experience, we finally decided to try Tap & Burger again. We dropped in for HH last Friday (HH runs 2-6 MF and 5-9 on Sundays) and started with the house margaritas. These are really good, but a lot of ice. For my second drink, I had the house red which was really nice. Hubs had beer. For eats, we shared the loaded tots, and I had buffalo wings and Hubs had the classic smash burger. The smashburger is a total steal at $6 on HH. It's full-sized and delicious (ok, I had a bite!). The wings are enormous. Almost too big, actually. But they are delightfully prepared and I enjoyed them until I could eat no more. Tots are always a good idea. I don't know that having them loaded really enhanced my appreciation of them, but I still very much enjoyed eating them. I'm happy that we had a better experience this time around, and I am sure we will be back.

Yelp
Just came back from having lunch there with a friend. This place has a very nice ambiance, and their great service added to a pleasant dining experience. We also both liked our food. - So why only 3 stars you may ask? No, it wasn't the mandatory 20% gratuity that is added to a check (several reviews mentioned this before). Since it was clearly stated on the menu, plus our server mentioned it to us as well before picking up our check, doing so was quite acceptable. I took one star, because we felt that albeit the food was good, it was grossly overpriced. I had to take a second star away, since they are violating a Colorado law that prohibits pet dogs from being in an inside dining establishment. Health code does not allow that (see photo).

Yelp
Love that Tap and Burger is at Belleview Station, people in the burbs like their stuff as well! I stopped here one night after a workout and was stoked that their happy hour was still going on. I got a beer, salad and burger for $24 (tip included) and it hit the spot. Service at the bar was fantastic and they even had the Ava game on, what more could I ask for??
google avatar

Jessie J.

Yelp
This place is always good. Located conveniently in Belleview square this is the perfect upscaled sports bar around. The burgers are always good, but you can also get the salads as wraps which I tried this time & was not disappointed! The sweet potato fries are yummy & the staff is always friendly. Can be a bit loud with the tvs, but it is a great place to watch a game for that exact reason!!! They do have a couple NA options for drinks as well.

Yelp
Tap and Burger in the Belleview Station shopping area is a good place to go for lunch or dinner. I came here on a weekday evening and the service was fast, friendly and professional. The food was hot, fresh and tasty and the dinning area was clean. Good service, good food, and good location right in the heart of the DTC area.
google avatar

Miles H.

Yelp
Burgers are good, but like other restaurants in Bellview Station, they add 20% tip, are very quiet about telling you, u have to read the bill carefully, but worse is the Nickle and Dime for tiny little sauce cups, sexy sauce that sounds like a part of the meal, onions, jalapeños, tomato, lettuce.....really? Won't go back and too bad cuz I can walk there. Discd with manager, he gave the proverbial "it's the owners" cant do anything
google avatar

Robert N.

Yelp
Tap and Burger has some great burgers, but are a bit overpriced for what you receive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and are in a great little area right by Belleview station. We chose to sit outside because they were having trivia night when we were there and it was extremely noisy inside. Our server was super friendly and the food and drinks came out very quickly. The quality of the burger was fantastic. The price is really the only downside here. While it is a nicer restaurant the fact of the matter is, it is still a burger restaurant. Will we be back, yes. But not as often as we would have been if it were a bit more reasonably priced.

Yelp
Went here early afternoon. Was not busy at all. Good taproom with a nice selection of beers. Had a hamburger which was ok but not really great. Female bartender was unengaged and not very friendly. Probably won't go back.
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
20% mandatory service fee screws their workers. It's made to appear as a tip, but I have on good authority that the upper management/company gets a very significant portion of that, with only some going to the workers -- spilt among back and front of house. Most customers will see this, think it's a tip, and not add more tip for the waiter. Borderline unethical. While I won't go there again, the service was fantastic and the food was good. The Kobe beef burger on the happy hour menu was delicious and the price was nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Yum, yum, yum....squeaky cheese with jalapeños jam dipping sauce YES!!! What a way to kick of a hump day lunch in Denver. Taste so good with a little zip of spice. The staff was on point and attentive. The place was quiet and chill. And the chicken bacon ranch sandwich was very good. Great meal.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
The establishment smelled like stale beer. The food was horrible. Over tipped because I felt bad for the serving staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was great. Colee served me and was very attentive and checked on me multiple times before my drink was even empty. Very great service and great atmosphere

Erin S.

Yelp
The only good thing about this place was the staff was friendly enough. Poor service but makes sense with the included service charge. Sent out a chicken tender that didn't even cover half the bun on a buffalo chicken sandwich, which is bonkers when you're paying almost 20 dollars.

Yelp
I've been to a few tap and burgers and always leave them underwhelmed. The appetizers are all things related to cheese (which I love and all - but no variety) - chips and Queso, nachos, pretzel with beer sauce then one flatbread and onion rings. The $12 soft pretzel had a lot of nuggets but they're generic nothing special frozen pretzel pieces with a super small container of cheese. Burgers are $16-19 so kinda steep and overall, just ok. Fries portion with the burgers is large. Craft beers are $8-9. We have the dining out passbook, otherwise we probably wouldn't be here. Dog friendly patio though so that's good ‍
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Delicious burgers for a reasonable price. I got the impossible burger which was delicious! It was the perfect combination of toppings, house-made sauce, patty, and bun. The fries were cooked to perfection too. They have a great selection of menu items for everyone - highly recommend!

Cathy W.

Yelp
food was just OK Inside it was loud Service terrible Had to leave mandatory 20%tip for bad service. Will not return.

Yelp
Recently attended an event here and must say, I was very impressed! It was my first time here and I was just expecting a typical burger joint. As I walked up, I could see that the restaurant and patio were absolutely packed. On a week night! I figured that must mean this place is great. The secret is, it's a very convenient location in DTC and the service is amazing. As someone that was on the hook for helping ensure the event was running smoothly, I didn't get a chance to sit down and eat. But all the feedback I received was that the food was awesome. The crew gladly accommodated one of the guests that had a vegan diet. And our servers, one friendly gal in particular, were awesome in every regard. They were quick, friendly and patient with our large group. When it came to splitting up the bills (the host took care of the food, while guests paid for their drinks- so LOTS of tabs to keep track of), I was so impressed! Our gal had everything figured out and did not get stressed with the large amount of checks. I will absolutely be back so that I can try out the food for myself. And will recommend this spot for others who are looking to host a little get together or happy hour.

Yelp
Best Burger and wings in the tech center, and every bit worth the price. Love the comfortable seating and TV screens layout for sports watching. Perfect neighborhood location and free parking. Special thanks goes out to Walter, manager, and Danny, server, for your A+ customer service!!!

Yelp
Stopped in for a few drinks and a bite to eat as we were in the neighborhood. Place was fairly slow so we thought it would be fine to sit and drink/eat. Sat at the bar and the female bartender seemed to be pretty bothered that we sat down. Only two of us mind you. She took forever to even ask us what we wanted and the whole time she just seemed to be bothered. Ok, mediocre service, check. Finally ordered the food. Got it timely and it was hot. While it was decent, nothing to write home about. I would say average at best. After finishing, it was time to leave out bothered bartender so we closed out. This is when we realized that they add on a 20% gratuity automatically. Really? To be fair, it is listed on the menu when I looked closer and also on their website when I went back to look. But the thought of being forced to leave a tip for a server who was mediocre is pretty bothersome. No way did she deserve 20%. I get that they probably split tips, but tipping should be based on what the customer feels is appropriate. Needless to say, last time going to this place. There are other options around that don't force you to tip crappy service and the food is better. Be warned.

Yelp
Stopped for some beer and dessert. They were out of their jam for the cheesecake so we just had the brownie sundae, which had sprinklings of potato chips. Pretty good dessert paired with a nice milk stout! Would come back to try the cheesecake! They had a huge list of whiskey and scotch if you're into that.

Yelp
I love this place but there are so many rainbow flags. What is up with the chiefs shit. Sincerely, A Raiders Fan

Yelp
Great spot for a quick casual work lunch! Great food and service. Waiter knew everything about everything on the menu. Nice clean place.

Great steakhouse burger, excellent service - and a fun environment in a beautiful neighborhood. Way to go!

Great service and good deals while being able to watch all the games is definitely a highlight to my day, love my local neighborhood bar.

Yelp
After a round of golf, our party of 4 was in need of a drink and some food. After going back and forth about other businesses in the area, we settled on Tap & Burger Belleview Station, which proved to be a good one at that! Arriving around 6:30ish on a Friday night, we expected a lengthy wait because - it's Friday night. However, we managed to be seated within a few minutes of entering the space which was surprising yet awesome. We were seated in a booth in the back, which created an intimate environment with upscale sports bar vibes. The space is well laid out and socially distanced well - which was nice, considering we are still in a global pandemic! Our server approached us quickly, took our drink orders and provided us with great recommendations. Known for their locally sourced ingredients and killer burgers, we opted to start with an order of wings to share (with their signature Alabama wing sauce) and an order of the Cauliflower wings - which are deep fried and tossed in wing sauce creating the perfect crunchy bite! We easily took all those down before ordering a round of burgers. The Shroom Lava for me - sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese with a white truffle aioli - with a traditional Bacon Cheeseburger for one guest and a classic for the other! The burger I can't wait to try - the TAP burger - their newest addition featuring French onion soup aioli, Swiss cheese, crispy onions, red onions, lettuce with a side of au jus! Each burger was TO DIE FOR, perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths. Serious YUM. Pricing is on point and the location is hard to beat - right in the heart of the DTC with ample parking and walkable to other shops, bars and businesses! When craving another burger, I'm coming here!

M S.

Yelp
Ordered two pounds of their chicken wings and my 91-year-old father ate 1.5 pounds of them! Our server (Lena) and the rest of the team were very nice and accommodating. My Dad can't wait to head back here!
google avatar

Brad J.

Yelp
Solid 4 stars. Food was above "bar food" standards. Service was good. I'd go again. Had an active ambiance but not too loud . Not complaining, but fyi, they do a fixed 20% service charge.

Yelp
In a rush to read? Burgers=pretty good, the rest is stadium food. As far as appetizers go, they really f-d this category like raw-dogging a glory hole. The chips for the queso are so bad that even Tostitos is mocking them. And the "queso" is literally stadium cheese they use on the nachos at Bell Arena...except Tap & Burger isn't kind enough to provide you a bottomless bowel of jalapeños to hide that yellow ooze. The empanadas taste like toaster oven pizza bites and they should be embarrassed to serve green chili like that in Colorado. Hell, green chili is quite literally the quintessential Colorado food. Where they did get it right is their onion rings. These round babies are flavorful. The burgers are overpriced by about $6 each but they are done perfectly and each is not too salty. However, the buns are just meh. Fortunately the buns do not detract from the inside but if you are gonna gouge patrons for a $16 burger, at least make it a quality bun. I've had about half of the offering here but the Black & Blue is the standout. Service is odd and inconsistent. It appears they have adopted the "team failure" approach where one person takes your drink order, another brings the drink, another comes by and takes your food order and then a third person runs the food to the table. Every place that tries this believes they are being more efficient but in reality it dehumanizes the restaurant experience and sets the restaurant up for the order to go wrong. Sure enough, all four visits I have endured here (location and friends keep bringing me back) have hit service issues. Hell, we regularly order at least three rounds of drinks and each server who comes to the table regularly tells us the specials are different and the "house wine" is different. It is akin to when you were a teenager and didn't get to have a favorite drink because you were stealing the liquor from random friends' parent stash anyway. The desserts are boring. If you can't get me excited about dessert, please don't offer it. Nobody actually NEEDS dessert. We gluttonly top off our enormously stuffed gastrums with dessert because we are dazzled, impressed or curious about the dessert descriptions. This menu writer just literally gave up. At Tap & Burger, you can safely skip dessert. If you have a sweet craving, indulge in one of their boozy milkshake but don't blame me if that too is just meh.

Sarah C.

Yelp
They nickel and dime you, I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, it was dry so I asked for more sauce....they charged me for it!! And the service was awful but too bad, they automatically add 20% tip to your bill. I used to go all the time, I won't be back. GREEDY BUSINESS....

Scott S.

Yelp
Food and service was good, BUT, I have issues with paying a mandatory gratuity of 20%. Not only that, they charge tax on top of the gratuity and WTF am I paying $5.00 for an ice cube to go with my whiskey. Gonna find a different place to spend my money.
google avatar

Yelp
Tap & Burger is my go to meet up place in the DTC. It's such an easy location to get to and great for lunch and happy hour. I usually order the shroom lovers burger with fries but I've had the salads, wings, lettuce wraps and most everything on happy hour. You can't go wrong with the food and it's a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

Yelp
Good people good food. Wit else u wanna know? Love this place. Only have good things to say,

Jeff G.

Yelp
I realize this is a small, local chain restaurant. Very average burgers. I think if you have burger in your name you should nail that portion of your menu. All burgers are prepared "medium" according to the menu, no other choice, no customization, no "build your own" from what I could see on the menu. According to my two burgers there, I would say medium well to well. Also, they do not seem to be hand formed patties, I have not been in the kitchen, but I would venture to say they are pre-cooked, stored and then heated up before being served. They taste that way anyhow. Yes, they are already overpriced and the 20% set service charge is just another way of porking you for a few extra $. I would gladly pay another $8-$10 (or less) and get a great burger around the corner at Ruth's Chris. I will say that ambience is nice with lots of TVs for sports watching and they have nice selection of tap beers (not all are available for Happy Hour pricing which is just weird) so watch what you order. Staff is mostly friendly, but there are a few unhappy folks there so it is hit and miss. I go there because I live next door and can watch games not for the food. Suggest you do the same.
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
Tap & Burger serves some pretty solid burgers in a spacious, clean setting. It's a great place to watch a game, grab a drink, and put down a burger. If you've lived in Denver for more than a week, you've been to a comparable burger place, and with Tap & Burger, that's not a bad thing. While the burgers are probably not as good as Park Burger, the seating is better. Also, this location is pretty much in the burbs, so it's pretty nice to have something that is reasonably cool without being in the city. I had The New Tap burger, and my wife had the Blackened Blue, both of which were solid B burgers. Not life-changing good, but definitely good all around. I do really love how clean the inside of this location is, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating during Corona times. I hope Tap & Burger survives this latest indoor dining shutdown because we'd be happy to go back.

Yelp
I wanted to update my review as we decided to give it another try and our visit this time around was more positive than the last. First- proof of vaccination is currently required for entry into the restaurant, so make sure you have this before you go! We came here on a Monday evening and were seated and helped right away. The beer selection is diverse; there were a few choices that they were out of which was a bummer but our server was able to suggest great alternatives. For food, I ordered the chicken tenders for my meal and my boyfriend gave the burger a second chance. The chicken tenders were so hot and crispy, I would order again. My boyfriend reported that the burger bun was still a bit soggy, but the fries were far better than the last time we came here. Overall we enjoyed our meal, were able to enjoy Monday Night Football and other sporting events on the TVs around the restaurant, and although service was a bit slow, they were very friendly and helpful. I'm glad we gave this spot a second chance!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Pretty yummy burgers! I had the mushroom burger with grilled chicken. I wish there was a little more truffle flavor in the truffle aioli. The fries were perfect! The ranch, spicy ranch, and special sauce were all delicious! My boyfriend ate his burger in about 4 minutes so I couldn't take a photo!

Yelp
I've been here a few times while visiting Denver. Limited vegetarian options especially with the Covid stripped down menu. But they had the impossible burger in any style and sweet potato tater tots. So tasty. Their beer menu is very representative of Colorado and more western brewery. They are a bit overpriced, but I am in a major city. Either way I'm always able to find something delicious to drink. A respectable local chain restaurant in the Denver-ish area.

Kathryn G.

Yelp
Great service, yummy and fresh food I appreciated the waiter's conscientiousness and kindness. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We live in the area and know many others that do. The opinion we all have is - great location, fabulous environment but the food is lacking!!! The one staple on the menu that is good is the smoked wings. Burgers are typically over cooked. The chicken sandwich has always been a no-go because the chicken is "grainy" and of low quality. You get much better food at Slattery's & Griffin Tavern. It's very disheartening for us because Tap & Burger is walking distance. This place would be packed if they could provide quality food!!! We want you to be better!!!!
google avatar

Clarissa J.

Yelp
We've been here a few times with friends and for the most part are happy to come back. Great place for drinks and burgers in the DTC! They have a nice variety of burger options and while I wish they had a turkey burger substitute available I do think they're burgers are pretty delicious. They're fairly pricey and the sides are decent but not as impressive as some other burger spots. Our favorites have been the cauliflower wings and the mushroom burger. Service has generally been friendly and prompt even on busier nights!

Yelp
Returning customers about a YEAR LATER (totally forgot until we arrived and I checked in, ha!) but the menu changed a lot since we last ate here (grass fed beef is still on the menu, which further enticed me to dine at Tap & Burger)... But there is no more ahi tuna. That being said, I definitely didn't miss it at all, because what I ordered was delicious!! Everyone else who came to lunch with me LOVED what they got to eat as well, and all said they would HAPPILY return to devour more of Tap & Burger's grub! I really want to try the wings next time... But that may be hard cause I'm also going to want a DOUBLE GRASS FED BEEF BURGER SITUATION! Ha! PS: the chicken sandwich was the true star for everyone at my table! My husband (chick fil a king)... Said that it was 10000% ON PAR WITH CHICK FIL A (a good thing IN HIS OPINION) and scarfed that baby down, HAPPILY! Oh and as a DIET COKE LOVER, he wasn't phased by the fact that Tap & Burger serves Pepsi... Because the food was so good!

Yelp
The only thing good about this place is the service we received. If not for the attentive server (Chris) I'd be giving the place a zero star rating. Overpriced and a mandatory 20% tip. I had a burger and two beers and paid over $40. Yikes. I know inflation is bad (thanks Joey Biden) but this is ridiculous. And the tip thing: Guaranteed payment for service usually lowers the quality of that service. It's my money, I should de use how to spend it, not the restaurant. Won't be going back to this joint ever again unless I win the lottery or my long-lost Nigerian prince uncle comes through on that promise to make me rich.
google avatar

Adriana C.

Yelp
This place is good but for some reason when I have been here the past two times service was a tad off. No big deal! Also if you order a dirty martini they might look at you like you have three heads, but no BD ha ha! Their burgers are what they're known for so definitely order one. Enjoy some cocktails with your friends and use the free parking garage next door! Most of my friends live down south so this is a great meeting spot right off the highway for us.

Yelp
Came here to eat one sunny day! One of the few places that will be open on a Sunday. I had their traditional hamburger with sweet potato tater tots and an order of hummus. Hamburger was good, the bread is soft and it was cheesy which I loved! If you're not a cheese fan or you don't like that much cheese I would suggest asking for no cheese :) The meat was also very flavorful! The tater tots was good but I think it would have been better if it was crispy. It was soft. That could just be a preference thing for me. The place is a sport bar environment with lots of TVs with different games on. The surrounding area is cute and caters mainly to the working hours/day. A quiet suburb area with a park close by. Nice to grab lunch and go for a walk type of an area.

We went here tonight and had great service from our waitress Sam! She went above and beyond for us on a busy night watching football. The food was good, service excellent and we will be back!

Yelp
We had a very weird experience. Party of four, very slow time, yet nothing was very great about our visit? Our waitress seemed to be new as she didn't give very detailed or accurate answers to any of our questions. We ordered several beers that she had to come back and tell us they were out of. Big waste of time for everybody. She didn't let us know it was happy hour so we didn't take advantage of those deals as we didn't know they had them (we had told her none of us had been there before and they weren't displayed anywhere but in the middle of pages of the table tents). Once we got our food, one of the meals was incorrect which took a while to get fixed. They are overpriced, not worth the money and don't have good beer options which seems weird for a Taphouse. They also have a 20% service charge. Will not be back. I would add a photo of our ridiculously modified receipt but I'm not looking for anything from this company, just want to let others know.

Yelp
Consumer beware. I should have read the reviews posted by others below. They tack on a service charge of 20% but don't tell you until you get your check. TIP = To Insure Promptness. I always tip but when the staff knows they are getting 20% no matter what the quality of the service is, there is no incentive to go above and beyond. When I discussed it with the manager she said "the policy is on the menu." (Like I was looking at the fine print while I am ordering beer and watching a football game...)

Yelp
We decided to try this restaurant because of the strong draft list and burger options. The mushroom burger was tasty although heavy on the mushroom and light on the truffle. I enjoyed the sweet potato tots (perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but oversalted). My husband ended up going for an alcoholic shake, which he loved and a salad that was very filling. The atmosphere was very much of a sports bar with screens throughout, although we wished the two screens in front of us had on something more interesting than senior golf. Finally, keep in mind there's an automatic 20% tip. Our waitress was lovely so this would have been her tip anyhow. I like when restaurants offer their staff better wages but I do prefer if this is pre-stated (I didn't notice anything mentioning this auto-tip ahead of time) or better yet built into the cost of the food.

Yelp
As a previous employee & customer (before & after employment) I am shocked by some of these reviews. I was always told "you get what you pay for" and that holds true to this establishment. Whereas the prices are very high, the quality is worth it. If you're cheap, looking for cheap, there is a McDonalds around the corner. As for the 20% tip-- I agree that people should be able to determine the gratuity based on service; however that tip is not only going to your server but it is also being shared with the entire staff (a pool system) which is advertised on the table tent as soon as you are seated, on the check at the end, and verbalized by a server. I personally didn't like it, and it's the reason I left. BUT: this is an effective system you should be mindful of; the kitchen is also getting tipped from it, and so are the support staff. Which means everyone is working together, and harder because everyone is getting a piece of that service charge that you're upset. I've found the service to be great, even when I didn't know my server (as a non employee) the only flaw I see, is that yes the drinks take a while to reach the table, but once they do, they are excellent (especially the "you're turning violet" cocktail) I recommend Tap & Burger 100%.
