Very nice local bar and grill. Very convenient to the train station. Sample street parking. Good revolving beer options. Tasty sandwich and burger menu choices. I’ve had several burgers and sandwiches, and they are very good.

This is my second visit here. While the food is generally good, I'm giving it 3 stars due to inconsistency. Both times, the wings weren't fully tossed in the sauce, and the suggested solution was either to have them retossed or to provide extra sauce and then you will see an additional 75 cents on the bill. The burgers, though visually appealing, weren't cooked to the correct temperature. Nacho-Tots come with Chili on it but maybe only a tablespoon wort. The atmosphere is nice, making it a great spot for drinks, but not for the food.

We went today at 5:15 (with reservations) were sat on the patio since we brought our puppy with us. No waiter or busboy came by until 5:43 to greet us, give us water or take our order. We were 2 minutes from walking out and going somewhere else. Our drinks and food arrived quickly, about 10 minutes from the moment we ordered. My strawberry lemonade was supposed to have mint, it didn't. My ABC burger was too greasy and bacon was undercooked. The fries were good though but thats about it. My boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich which was kinda bland and needed way more sauce. No one came to our table for another 20 minutes while we ate. Finally we were ready for our check, and left a 20% tip since a lesser amount was not an option on the handheld device we were handed. All that to say, we will not be coming back unless the service is better. Oh and if you're wondering, the inside had 2 small tables taken only and patio had 3-4 empty tables when we arrived so not sure why the service was so horribly slow.

3/2024 4* Love the food! Was excellent! Service was from Lexi, and she did everything with a bright smile. It is a bit noisy for me. I was only there for lunch, but can imagine it would be much louder at dinner time. We will probably be back. But only for lunches.

Stopped in for a quick app and cocktail after work. Had the old fashion and cheese curds. The curds were very good. But the old fashion was just okay 5/10. The restaurant was super spacious and big. The bartender was great and made sure I was well attended too. Would try a different next time.

Had lunch. Good burger. Excellent root beer beef. They're were only a couple of other customers. Bartender was meh. Not much personality. She did wonder (loudly) to a coworker 'where are all the people'? Maybe it's you, sweetie. We'll get take out, if we go back.

Google
I have dined here before and the service was great, but when I came back on Monday (5/26) it was VERY disappointing. Stopped by for a quick drink no bartender to be found and which an AMAZING server came to attend us and apologized for the delay. The bartender proceeded to get mad at the server for taking our order. She made it very obvious and was annoyed that we even let her serve us. Bartender made me and my boyfriend feel uncomfortable. You can tell she did not want to deal with us and once we were done with our first round of drinks, this bartender takes our cups away very mad and caused her to SHATTER one of the cups right in my face! I was in complete shock and did not know how to react and which this bartender did not even ask if I was ok and no apology! The whole time we were there she was yelling at the poor server that attended us, throwing things around and being rude to other incoming customers making everyone feel uncomfortable. I wish I would have gotten the servers name but she was outstanding and maintained her cool while also being very professional by not engaging in the bartenders rude behavior towards her. I hope management looks into this and terminates this bartender.

Google
Service was terrible. We were ignored from start to finish. I loudly spoke up twice for the check, but the guy instead stood up on the table to adjust something with the TV. The women couldn't be bothered to get off their all important phones. I ended up getting up and walking slowly out to see if they would even notice that someone was leaving and not paying and they didn't! Also there was only the 2 of us at the bar and 3 bartenders.

Yelp
Food was excellent Service was excellent Price was good Stopped in after a family event The server was attentive and on her game One thing I'll say about the ambiance and setting. Cozy but unusually strange. In the men's bathroom the stall you'd sit to do more than pee had a strange door in the same area where you're sitting. At the time I wasn't sitting as I had a less involved potty visit but I can't help but think, if you're sitting there doing your thing it might make you have difficulty getting the mission accomplished. I know goofy but I had to point that out. It's a very cool place to visit and enjoy a beverage and a bite but try not to laugh to much when you see that door in the crapper area Have a great day all

Yelp
First time at Tap House tonight, here are some thoughts: -They have a really good menu. I'd like to go back and try 3 or 4 other things on the menu : ) -The centerpiece of the Tap House is the bar, surrounded by tables, larger feel with many TVs. -I ordered the fish and chips. Plenty of fish and it was good, not great. Plenty of fries that were good, not great. Overall, I would recommend.

Yelp
Plenty of parking. Nice atmosphere in the bar area and cozy booths. I'm not a fan of the low tables towards the back of the restaurant. Their burgers are still good and I've always been pleased with the service. The wedge salad is not as good as it was some years back with the original owners. Nice outdoor area albeit on the street side. Great selection of beer.

Yelp
Casual spot located downtown Palatine. Great selection of beers and plenty cocktail options. Pretty decent bar food but nothing really special. Our server was nice and friendly, but overall OK establishment

Yelp
Tap house is a solid place to get a good drink and great open bar atmosphere. A MUST ORDER, are their wings! I always order them 5 spice, xtra crispy with buffalo sauce and blue cheese on the side! So so great. I shy away from those burger bowls, they just seem a little off. If I had to put it into words, " maybe a little unbalance " they would of gotten 5 stars except I could only do 4, because every time I am there I am made to feel rushed by the waitress so that's about it! All in all a solid place

Yelp
The food here is so bad. Like so incredibly bad. Like microwaved. My chicken came warm on the outside and frozen inside. Im so serious when I say its microwaved. Decent atmosphere.. I guess.

Yelp
Waitress forgot to put our order in so we ended up waiting over an hour for our food. Mistakes happen, but the waitress was very unsympathetic and on top of that the food ended up being cold.

Yelp
I don't know what we did to our server but he avoided our table. We were seated towards the back since we had children in our party but we didn't anticipate DJ set to start before 9pm so we lucked out. Food was ok and the liquor was good but only two people got waters and we asked two different people for sauce. And I'm pretty sure we ordered a drink that never came but at least we weren't billed for it either. It's was half empty while we were there but it was during holiday month so I don't know what was going on there. I swear we still tipped though.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! First off the atmosphere and environment are outstanding. With large garage doors opening to an outside patio and a massive bar with ton's of televisions above it you can't go wrong if you want to dine outdoors or sit and watch sports! The food and drinks are outstanding! A ton of great beers on tap and a perfect bar menu. I have gone a few times now and have yet to eat anything that I didn't think was delicious! I can't recommend this place enough!!! Can't wait to go back in a few days!
google avatar

Yelp
Could use better service but good food, good people. Cute place for sports overall. I think it is a good place to bring a group of friends to watch the game.

Yelp
Tap Out on Tap House: Came for lunch on a Friday afternoon, unaware it was Shark Week - ambience was cool, but the soundtrack was canned 90's radio pop, clientele was mostly dudes & very few couples - staff was mostly female (maybe going for a Hooter's vibe[?]) - service was slightly above average, order came out pretty fast (restaurant was pretty empty), meals came out hot, but the Prime Rib Trio had nowhere near enough meat for the price & was overcooked roast beef - hardly prime rib! The Brew Burger was good, but interesting - came with weird barely-pickled sweet cucumbers(!?)

Yelp
Tap House Grill in Palatine gets 5 stars from me. I visited after leaving their "competitor" bar next door Lamplighter (horrible -but read my other Yelp! Review for more on that). The service at Tap House Grill is awesome and friendly and very quick. The environment is good, nice and calm and the place itself is pretty massive with tons of available seating at tables and at the bar. They have constant specials for food/drinks/events as well as a huge beer list. I had a good time at this bar, I visited the Wheeling location as well which was also good. This is for sure a go to bar in Palatine if you want to go to one with good service, lots of seating and a calm bar environment.

Yelp
Not sure why this location has such mediocre reviews. Out of all the Tap House Grills I have been to, this one is the best for sure. Food always comes out perfect and they have an amazing tap list.

Yelp
Duuuuude!!! Who is in charge of the menu here? Over the last 3 years, I've watched the vegetarian items be plucked off one by one. The loaded tots used to have a vegetarian option, that is no more. They got rid of their basic bean patty and bowls (those were a pregnancy favorite of mine) and now the Impossible burger, although not even comparable to the Beyond, isn't even on the menu. I'm literally down to a salad or the fried tacos for options, unless I want to just eat straight up bread and get the pretzels off of the appetizer list. I'm honestly very disappointed that they have continuously removed GOOD menu items and are truly missing out on a HUGE marketable crowd. Get with the times Tap House, plant based diets are on the rise and are not going anywhere, you're going to start losing customers soon! Rant aside, I've had the same waitress the last two times I've been in here and she's seriously the best server in the area. She's been personable, attentive and patient every single time. I'm terrible with names, so I don't have one to offer for my review, but she was great when I came in here with my (then) 10 month old daughter and 9 month old godson, and was even more amazing when we came in with a group of 10 (with a reservation) for a 7pm Friday night dinner. I ordered the fried avocado tacos, which are pretty yummy, but I'm not always looking for such a carb heavy dinner, so it'll be awhile before I head back. The Moscow mules were also delish and just what this mama needed on her "night off". Great place for large groups or if you're just looking to grab a brew or two. Not great if you're all about that plant based life.

Yelp
Came for Easter brunch yesterday. It was a good atmosphere overall and people arrived in everything from casual to their Sun best. Service: this staff was working hard to churn things out, great job to them. Food Selection and Prep: This was just ok for me. They had a small selection of items, they did have a carving area for ham and prime rib, shrimp cocktail, and smoked salmon. Those are some items most people look for. Other items were salad, pancakes, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, one pasta, two different egg dishes, bacon, and sausage. There was also a mixed and match dessert station and a little chocolate fountain. People always seemed to be waiting for plates. The buffet area didn't seem to be tended at times where it just seemed a little messy, so the overall presentation wasn't quite there. I also feel like there were a couple areas missed for more standard brunch items like chicken fingers and fries for kids, an omelette station, a chicken dish, maybe some rice or another pasta or bread to choose from. Overall, I think it was alright, and hard to beat the kids price. They did do a good job with the Easter bunny walking around the baskets of candy on each table.

Yelp
Price : $37.00 for one cup of soup, cauliflower bites and a vegan burger. Recently ordered food from here Personally it's one of those places that you should try out one time and if you like it you like it and if you don't you don't. The cauliflower was good, the vegan burger was not made correctly like the ingredients, they forgot many items that were included in meal, the soup ( beer pretzel n cheddar ) for $5 , It was not a terrible soup, but one I wouldn't be keen to ordering again. Like stated above, maybe other items are great on the menu like the cauliflower bites but other than that, it was a solid 4/10. Wouldn't go back but not a terrible experience.

Yelp
This used to be a go-to spot about a year ago, we'd bring all of our friends and family and great reviews. The last 4 times we've had cold food, bad service and prices seem to have gone WAY up. Today we had 3 appetizers and 2 beers and the bill came to over $80.00. We sat down and no napkins or silverware was at the table, had to ask the server 4 separate times for napkins and sat with sticky fingers for over 20 mins. Ended up leaving on a huge game night that we were excited to sit and watch.

Yelp
After not being helped at madcats down the street we walked over to tap house for dinner. We walked in and were immediately helped by the host that was super nice and walked us over to our table. The place is super loud I couldn't hear my wife while we figure out what we wanted to eat. The server came and apologized for not coming right away and he be right back which was okay. He ordered drinks and he came back to grab our order and we asked what he recommended. He pointed at three plates not to get which was the root beer braised beef and two barbacoa plates. Everything else on the menu is decent he said. I got the Farmhouse burger which was pretty bad. The burger was as hard as a puck. I got medium but it didn't seem like a medium cooked, the tater tots were nice to see probably the best thing they offer and they had no salt. My wife got the salmon blt, what a joke that salmon portion is very small and it has a super fishy taste, since they don't know how to cook salmon and no seasoning. The lettuce is soft and black at spots and avocado was black mist of been sitting out for a while. My son got the original Mac and cheese and I couldn't believe this was a main dish here but it was okay except for the hard cheese on top. My other son got the Nashville hot I didn't try it but he liked it and it had slaw and he don't eat it but he liked there's with ranch sauce. He said the sandwich needs ranch sauce if not no good. The food to me was horrible for such a huge and nice location. The only thing good was the server was nice and funny and honest. I gave him a nice tip he went above and beyond to make a good experience there.

Yelp
Best way to describe the food " I would have a hard time eating here sober" space is nice and drinks are good so it's a bit disappointing how mediocre the food is

Yelp
Stopped in on Labor day while we were staying in Palatine. We were the first patrons in as soon as they opened. It was nice to see the associates cleaning the menus while waiting for people to show up. We had the pork pot stickers, frozen tundra beer cheese soup, and the garlic prime rib dip sandwich. All were good. Prime rib was a little dry but it was not tough. The pot stickers were very tasty with the spicy soy ginger sauce. They also came out hot which is a big plus. The soup was also good. Mild cheddar and Monterey jack cheese give it a nice flavor. Would love to see it made with a stronger brew, something other then the IPA it is blended with. Still a good soup. Great service and getting in before it got noisy were big pluses. I think we would go back.

Yelp
This place would be great if they would appropriately setup checking in and checking out a closed bill. Standing in line with those checking in after spending $100 and I'm waiting to pay my bill for ten minutes, they need to either setup two lines or have a waitress taking payments. This bottle neck defers us from returning.

Yelp
My wife and I was in yesterday for the Bears Game, The food was wonderful, which is the only reason why I gave them 1 star and not the 5 stars they would have received if there was ANY SERVICE! The service was the WORST my wife and I ever experienced! We were sitting at the bar and the Bartender who I found out the name was Kelli, NEVER came to us to allowed us to order drinks after the initial drink. Me and my wife had empty glasses for over 3 quarters of the game. She only seemed interested in her "regulars" as she was constantly talking to them who were 4 seats away from us. How hard is her to remove her "blinders" and ask us if we want another drink. Apparently, she was did not want to serve us any drinks.

Zoe S.

Yelp
There aren't very many options on the menu. My personal favorite is the macaroni and cheese. The service is fast and very welcoming and kind.

Jeanne W.

Yelp
We went here last and it was exceptional. I will say a big part of that was our waiter, Nick. He is such a respectful young man and made our visit better. The food was terrific and it was brought out fast. It's a great environment, maybe a little loud but that's to be expected:) We will continue to frequent Tap House in Palatine

Yelp
This bar is huge. So much seating and when appropriate, some outdoor seating. I've come here a couple times this year and I have to say, the servers are nice, it's moderately priced, and you get "better than bar food" food. When these guys are busy, they are busy. The servers manage to keep up or get help where needed. While there's a staff shortage, they aren't rude or mean. They are a little overwhelmed, but they still have a smile on their face, which is amazing. Pricing is moderate. They have quite the selection of beers, which is expected and impressive. They have a lot of burgers and apps. They also have some entrees and a good selection of some fish dishes. I enjoy the fish and chips or the shrimp bowl. They also have a homemade kitkat dessert. It's crunchy, chocolate and caramel stacked like a kitkat. Delicious and decadent. It's a great hang out place or for outdoor seating in downtown Palatine.

Yelp
Food is always on point, and the beer on tap is always flowing. I ordered the fish tacos, which came in an order of three. Crispy battered, and really good. The service was great, food was good, and a great option to eat in the burbs.

Yelp
We really like the Tap House Grill and have brought out-of-town guests here and had birthday celebrations here. The food is always good and the beer and drinks list is impressive, to say the least. The food is fresh and very reasonably priced. Fish and chips are great and the burgers are really good. We've liked everything we've tried so far. My one complaint is getting a beer can take way too long to arrive considering you are at a place called the Tap House!! Slinging beer should be their number-one talent!! We get our menus and water etc in plenty of decent time, but the beer seems to take far longer than it should! One time we ordered a few sample beers, 2 or 3 ounces, and the pints other people ordered arrived fairly quickly, and the small beers arrived 10 minutes later. We gave up on getting a sample of new beers. The place was not even crazy busy at the time. Other times we planned on having a beer with dinner and when we got the beer, we had completely eaten the dinner. Too much time elapsed. As the Irish would say, "I could crush a grape!" It seems the kitchen knows how to process food orders but the bar gets bogged down I'm guessing with drink orders. Like I said, the Tap House is great and we've been coming here since they opened, but they need to learn how get the beer orders out faster.

Yelp
The drinks and service by Mindy were top notch. Come and check it out for yourself. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Popular bar in the heart of Palatine. Came here last Thursday for a retirement party hosted in the back room. Staff was extremely attentive to the group. There was 2-3 servers coming around constantly to see if anyone needed a drink. I was greeted in the first minute of arriving to see if I needed anything! They do have a drink selection print out menu. But if you want to see ahead of going, for some reason you need to go to: beermenus.com and they search Tap House Palatine to see the full selection. Search done today showed 45 beers on tap; 9 bottles and 12 cans. Lots of beers and specialty drinks. Way more that what is listed on the bar website, especially on the beers. They hosted many local brewery beers and had something for everyone. I was recommended the Cigar City Jai Alai drink. Was pretty good, but I don't think I would order another. There was self serve food for grab. Couple types of wings, chicken fingers, pretzel bread, and salad. I had the chicken fingers and pretzel bread. The chicken was a good bar food type and I enjoyed. The pretzel bread was salty and I was happy to have as it was filling. This bar has several locations in the suburbs and I feel you can't go wrong here. Very popular place too.

Yelp
Was here on Friday September 14th for there Jimmy buffet special....server came got our drinks we ordered the cheeseburgers food comes she asked how everything is looking...before we even got a bite in....then she never came back...my cheeseburger was under cooked when she finally came back I told her she asked if I wanted it cooked more I said no by this time my friend was already done eating, once again she left we had to flag her down for the check and yep she disappeared again before we could pay!!

Yelp
We were in there about a month ago. The Food was fabulous. The waitresses were also great. We had a group of about 12 for lunch. The only reason I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we were there on a Tuesday for lunch the accommodations were also great but why does it have to be so loud on a Tuesday at lunchtime when it is not very crowded we had trouble talking to people that were sitting right across from each other. We would love to come back but probably won't because of it being so loud. and at that time there weren't any sports games on the TVs

Jane S.

Yelp
An amazing luncheon experience! Highly recommend the root beer braised beef and gouda sandwich! Lovely house salad and nice beer and wine selection. Mindy our server was truly exceptional- amazing service- she recommended the butter toffee cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert which did not disappoint! This is a gem in downtown Palatine!

Yelp
So I was there this afternoon with a bunch of buddies mine from UPS Tim was a server boy the company who hired him is lucky talk about amazing service great food no complaining I would never let him go. What a great service he provided and worth ethic always a smile on his face. I wish I went to more locations like this amazing job amazing food.

Yelp
the food was great and our server Mari will keep us coming back. service was top notch and there is a great atmosphere inside

Yelp
Four Old Fashions, then a separate line item surcharge for Orange Bitters "if we have". Laughably absurd. Just make the drinks $11.25. This doesn't seem to bode well for your business model. And I stopped coming here after you 86'd the BLT. Good luck in the future!

Yelp
I avoid this place because of my prior reviews. This bar cannot pour a proper Guinness and they charge $9 for a lousy pour. My friends decided that they wanted to hit Tap House on St. Patrick's day. I reluctantly agreed. There was still a large tent outside from the Saturday parade etc. Most of my friends ordered Coors light and I ordered a Guinness. Beers arrive and I notice that my beer is not cascading, it's also not poured to the top of the glass. I take one sip and know it is not Guinness. It takes me nearly 10 minutes to flag down our bartender. I confront him on the beer and he says, "yeah, we ran out of Guinness". So, instead of telling me that upfront, this guy tried to pass off another beer as Guinness hoping I wouldn't taste the difference? First, order enough Guinness kegs for the busiest 3 day sales even for Guinness all year. How long have you been doing this? Second, don't ever give me a beer that I didn't order. The staff here is incredibly weak and the training is even worse. ZERO pride of ownership. Every time I have entered this establishment I am amazed at how poorly it is run.

Yelp
THE SHOW MUST GO ON Slow, uncaring service meant I had to host trivia sans beer (dear god, the horrors!!) Palatine is typically way off my radar, but I made an exception on 10/23/19 when asked to be part of a private event in the back room of this Tap House Grill. I was pretty familiar with the area, having been to Durty Nellie's in the past. The lots can be full, so parking may become a challenge. Once I got all my equipment set up in the back room, I was ready for a server to ask me if I wanted something to drink -- I was quite obviously working a gig. That offer never came, and the staff was too busy with other tables to give me so much as a passing glance. Throat dry, I soldiered on and started without anything to quench my thirst. After the show, I sat down at the bar and got two pints of Lost Coast Tangerine wheat ($6.50), followed by a pint of Half Day Meridian wit ($6.50). Both were great choices. I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I put in two food orders while watching the Nationals dismantle the Astros in Game 2 of the World Series. I started with the "everything" pretzel sticks ($10) that came with nacho cheese and honey mustard. Five large rods (teehee) were covered in sesame seeds, poppyseed, salt & pepper, and honestly it was just way too much going on. Maybe some people are into those kinds of bagels, but for me, meh. Remembering how much I loved their boneless wings ($11 for a 1/2lb), I got an order of them tossed in spicy ketchup w/cup of blue cheese. They tasted great, a perfect balance of heat & flavor, definitely would get these again. The veggie stix that came with were a pretty weak offering of wet celery and some sad baby carrots. Bread = 3.5 Circuses = 2 After being totally ignored by servers in the back room, I continued to get the cold shoulder at the bar. I was there for nearly 90 minutes and in that time, the bartender maybe said a maximum of three words. Even after she brought out my 2 apps, I never got checked on again until I asked for the bill (which took a while on its own). Halloween decorations were nice, though, I'll give them that. Lots of cobwebs, fake spiders, caution tape in the hallways, fun without being tacky. Men's restroom was clean, I think they had space-age hand dryers. * TL;DR * The good news is that Tap House locations are still averaging 4 stars in my book (Tap House Westmont [RIP] = 5*, Tap House Palatine = 3*). It took more than 20 minutes for appetizers to come out, which if they were time-consuming items I could understand....but c'mon guys, they were freakin' pretzels & wings. Other locations have both on their menu, so I knew exactly how long they should've taken. Hint: it's way faster than 20 minutes. If it were a busy night (it wasn't), maybe getting shunned by servers would make more sense. It was a Wednesday, and more than one server acted like I didn't exist. Doesn't matter that I was hosting trivia, I'm a customer too, and I deserve the same level of attention. Recommendation? Leaning towards 'no'.

Tasha B.

Yelp
I know this place has a reputation for bad food, but it was dinner time on a Friday night and every other place in town was packed, except this place (that should tell you something). Now I ate here a few years ago and the salad was ok, not great. So I decided to order a chicken caesar salad. The chicken was so chewy, grubby, and nasty. It was definitely frozen and reheated. The salad dressing was very fishy and must have been 30% anchovy paste. My friend got the chicken tenders, which had the same grisly, chewy consistency. The rest of our party had a variety of dishes, all which were way below standard and clearly frozen food. I haven't had food this bad in a long time. Fast food is seriously better quality than this garbage. Palatine needs some decent restaurants like Arlington Heights. Can this place be the first to go to make room for anything better? It's about time this place is forced out of town.

Yelp
Good at door greeting in this busy establishment! Both inside and outdoor seating. Although we had about a 15 minute wait that gave us a chance to look around and see how the staff interacted with patrons. Once seated a very pleasant waiter came by, introduced himself and explained the different menus. I asked for an adult beverage which required a blender and the waiter immediately said "let me see if we can make that because I don't think we have a blender." He checked and returned indicating they could not unfortunately. So I selected another beverage. (Great customer service is don't say "no" right away say, I can check on your request. Then actually check coming back with a positive response. ). GREAT JOB! After reading the menu and deciding on what we wanted the waiter came back to take our orders. We asked if one of the breads could be changed to a different bread/bun. The waiter said "of course." And proceeded to tell us the various breads they have. My meal came on potato bread soft and pillowy. I'd ordered the Grilled Maui. The flavor combination was fantastic, especially the ginger sauce. The only thing is (because the bread is so soft) the sauce should have been in the side. By the time I'd taken my first bite the bottom bun was a bit wet and at first bite dripped out. Lucky I had my napkin over my blouse or it would have been disastrous. I wound up turning the sandwich upside down to eat allowing the sauce to be absorbed by the top bun. Needless to say we enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere was nice. The waitstaff very pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
Really disappointed- went in with my sister, 3 year old and 2 month old. We waited for about 20 minutes and then the hostess told us that she was getting us a table ready and that it would be a few minutes. We were watching her clean off the table and when the table was finally ready, she told us that her boss said they were not seating anyone else. That would've been an acceptable if they told us right when we walked in, but not after waiting so long and with a toddler and a baby.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the fish tacos and salmon salad we got. We also loved the battered cauliflower! The service was great and there was live music. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Yelp
I personally feel the Tap house isn't worth the money. $9.00 Guinness beer on tap. Went there for a Peppermint Martini and they didn't have the sugar for the rim, It tasted terrible. Food nothing to write about. Then when we received the bill the is a 2% charge for inflation, so they can keep prices down. Very expensive before 2% charge.

Yelp
50c extra charge for a little cup of mayonnaise instead of mustard on a hamburger? 50c extra charge for more a little cup of more au jus on the prime rib sandwich? Food is very tasty here. But got well-done burger instead of medium. Served hors d'oeuvres, then main dish 2 minutes apart. So we have to decide which one to let get cold. This place has a great kitchen. I just don't understand the inconsistency with wait staff. The 50c thing is ridiculous. You'd think a waiter would have the sense to just serve it and not charge a customer. We spent $60 and THEY ABSOLUTELY NEEDED THAT EXTRA $1, WHEN NO OTHER RESTAURANT ON THE PLANET DOES THIS. EMBARRASSING.

Yelp
I've been here many times and I usually order the burger with salad and balsamic vinaigrette. It's always great. I also usually order a chocolate martini which I also enjoy here. For some reason, I decided to venture out of my typical dinner and order the Pecan/Apple/Grape salad and I added steak. I asked for well done, and what I got was charred beef. I could t taste anything else. I was in the party room and there was only 1 waitress who only showed up later to pour water and do checks. Update: 4/17/19 Better chef. KitKat dessert is fabulous. Burger cooked nicely.

Yelp
We live 3 blocks away. Would love to "love" this place but I tell everyone around to avoid it if you're looking for a good burger. Hard to believe that the Tap House and Emmet's both burn/char their burgers, consistently every time and I've given them a second, third,etc... try. I'm not talking about overcooking a burger, I'm talking about that nasty, crusty, burn char on the entire outside of the burger which makes it taste like you're eating the crusty remnants of the inside of a broiler that has never been cleaned (I used to be a broil cook so I know that horrible taste and smell). I question the cleanliness of their broiler since that taste and smell are very distinct. I would suggest keeping it clean. The burger could be medium rare inside but the outside of the burgers are charred so badly you cannot eat that crusty, charred meat and in some places you have to break off the meat because there is a solid chunk of black char. Hard to imagine this happens every time we go back to give them another try...at least they're consistent :-) They just fail at burgers. BURGERS! When I ate a burger at Dirty Nellie's the other day they appreciated hearing they were the only spot in town that doesn't burn burgers. Go somewhere else if you want a burger. Stay away from Brockway.

Yelp
I came back for food and a (sad) bears game, and I ordered the following: Roasted Brussel Sprouts: pretty terrible...I could've easily made better ones that were more crispy and less saucey (the sauce tasted strange too- we really couldn't tell what was in it besides reading the description on the menu) Chicken Fingers Appetizer: tasty and fried to a good juicy crisp. The portion was pretty small though- it wasn't enough to share with three people. House Salad: I liked this portion and the veggies were okay. Service was quick even during this busy time.

Yelp
Snuck in a 20% "large group" mandatory gratuity on 50% annual discount off of bill tonight...Place is very overrated and not worth your hard earned money. Food mediocre and very dirty floors and tables. Not going back ...
