"Tap In, a North Minneapolis restaurant and bar, has transformed a Lowry Avenue gas station into a lush, inviting space for community gathering, eating, drinking, and general vibing. The drink menu here pairs classics like palomas, sidecars, and mojitos with a succinct, funky list of signature cocktails: Hennessy margaritas, hand-mashed sours, and the Horseman, a sesame-infused take on a whiskey ginger, to name a few. Even better, there’s a full food menu. Reservations are accepted through Toasttab." - Natalia Mendez
"Tap In, a restaurant, cocktail bar, and community space in North Minneapolis from real estate collective New Rules, is finally open. The tight menu features sandwiches, like pull-apart brisket, fried catfish, and salmon; entrees include beef tips with rice and Brussels, miso-glazed salmon, and a vegan tofu rice bowl. The cocktail program winks to the community: Take the Henny margarita with Hennessy, lemon, lime, and agave, as well as the “Expresso” martini with dark rum, coffee liqueur, and chocolate bitters. The minimalist-chic space feels ripe for languid hangouts, with raffia chandeliers, African art, and a centerpiece tree behind the bar." - Eater Staff

"North Minneapolis restaurant Tap In, which has radically transformed a Lowry Avenue gas station into a lush, earth-themed space for dining, artist residencies, and social gathering, is about to debut on Lowry Avenue. Tap In has had a winding road to opening since construction started in the summer of 2022, including a delay in licensing, but it’s finally in the home stretch. Interior features from designer Sophie Weber include luminous tile work, sculptural alcoves, and a “Tree of Life” fixture above the bar made with driftwood collected on the banks of the Mississippi River." - Justine Jones
"I’m so excited for Tap In to open in spring of 2023! I’m a big fan of a multi-use space that can be a place to visit for food, a nice drink, or to catch a live event." - Eater Staff
