Yelp
We only had two dinners in Barcelona before our cruise, so we had to make them count, and this place absolutely delivered. Yelp steered me here, and it did not disappoint!
First tip: make a reservation. We booked one the day before (easy peasy), but when we got there they were turning people away left and right. So yeah, feeling pretty smug about that one.
The vibe is totally authentic: cramped, lively, and full of energy. There's bar seating, a few high tables, and a little room in the back, but we loved being up front where all the action was. Our waiter, Jarrel (pronounced like Superman's father), was the absolute best. He guided us through the menu like a pro, and we ended up with some killer dishes. The sausage cannelloni? Life-changing. The fried asparagus? Hey, a girl's gotta have her vegetables, am I right?
The steak was okay - but we should have gotten the ribs that everyone else was getting, so learn from my mistake.
I was most excited for the foie gras and egg dish, but it leaned a little too heavy on the truffle (which is not something I say often) and not enough foie. Still, it was a fantastic meal overall. We told Jarrel we wanted a leisurely dinner to soak up the atmosphere, and he timed everything perfectly.
