I really wanted to enjoy this place, but our experience at Tapas Barcelona was disappointing.
The glass of wine I ordered was clearly off — oxidized, as if the bottle had been open for far too long. For my kids, I asked for two well-cooked hamburgers, but both arrived almost raw, which is unacceptable when serving children.
I ordered “calamares a la andaluza,” but instead received small, overcooked chaperones. Only after bringing the dish did they explain they didn’t actually have what was listed on the menu.
And to make things stranger, the Sorpresa Ibérica I had ordered never came during the meal — it arrived almost together with the check, as if they had completely forgotten about it.
The staff was polite, but the overall execution and attention to basic standards just weren’t there. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because the experience could be much better with more care.
