Taproot Farm

i pickup a CSA Share from them every Wednesday & I love the vegetables that they pack in every week! I appreciate too how they share information about new vegetables, & recipe ideas too. These CSA boxes make my partner & I think creatively about our cooking for the week. it’s convenient, & it sparks the chef in me 🧑‍🍳

I got two boxes so far and I’m very impressed by the quality and quantity. I just signed up for summer next year and will sign up for spring as well. I’ve done CSA with other places and this is by far my favorite!

Food is more delicious when from Taproot! Such a wonderful thing to be able to enjoy such tasty fresh produce and treats from a thoughtful local organic farm. Also, so well organized, thoughtful flexibility, simple-to-use website, great communications. Also seems like a wonderful community.

The CSA at Taproot is well-run, and I love getting their fresh produce every week. The quality of the produce is superb, and it's nice to have the option to add fruit, eggs, cheese, coffee etc to our veggie share. They send me an email every week with what to expect in the share, how to cook/store each item, and some recipes. I feel like the variety is really good too - with other CSAs, I feel like you may get 5 weeks straight of squash, but with Taproot I never felt bored with the weekly shares. Being able to manage my account online and put a vacation hold on my share if I'm out of town is also a nice option.

We love Taproot! We have been CSA members for 10 years now and the veggies are a staple in our families diet! We are so thankful for Ola, George and all the taproot farm team that put so much care and intentionality into all of hard work they do to grow such an amazing variety of vegetables. Having the convenience of a CSA box packed full of a variety of organic vegetables each week of the season is wonderful!

Taproot Farm is AMAZING! We've subscribed to their CSA for many years now and it just gets better and better. The vegetables are beautiful, varied, clean, and thoughtfully chosen. Delivery is reliable and our pickup spot is only about a mile from where we live. And customer service is outstanding.

We love our Taproot CSA! Every week we marvel at how perfect each vegetable in the box is, like it has been individually cared for in a tiny garden. We have been long time members and can highly recommend Taproot, they are great people with great food!

I subscribed to my first CSA with Taproot this year and have been very happy with it. They have different size shares so you can get what fits your household. The convenience, quality and variety is superb and has really improved the meals I eat. I used to shop at farmers markets but using a CSA has cut down the time I spend shopping as well as narrows down my meal planning (by no longer having to start from scratch). The customer service is also wonderful as you are most likely contacting the owners directly and they answer any questions you have. I highly recommend trying a CSA if you are interested in eating local and want to cook with a variety of fresh vegetables.

Love this place! I live over in Germantown and they always have a stand on Saturdays about 12 minutes away. Great selection and decently priced. Since my heart attack we're really focusing on fresh healthy ingredients. So this stand is really great for us. Today we got fresh picked raspberries, 2 baskets of cherry tomatoes, larger tomatoes, potatoes, two heads of lettuce, golden beets, squash and a cute little basket of different varieties of hot peppers. All together it was $45 which wasn't bad. The cherry tomatoes have a very distinctive taste. A tinge of sweetness. They also had purple bell peppers which I never saw before. My wife could resist buying a shirt too. Now we're up to $65. My sister worked here for a while and loved the owners and her coworkers. I saw they do a CSA program too if I was closer I'd do that.
