"A playground, tater tot nachos, and an extensive bourbon list. This popular Apex spot has put some thought into how to attract families. It’s worth the 20-minute drive from Raleigh to let your kids play in the fully fenced-in giant sandbox and tire-themed playground to have a drink in relative peace and quiet. If you’re not feeling a pour of Whistlepig or Basil Hayden, the Bumper Car mocktail is a refreshing mix of blueberries, lemon, and soda, or there are 23 rotating beers to choose from. When the kids are ready to tap out and fuel up, split the totchos, a mound of tots groaning with all the best nacho toppings on top." - Elliott Harrell

Even though it was a bit of a drive for us to get to The Tap Station, wow, it was absolutely worth the trip! We were so happy to snag a table in their outdoor seating area right away. By the time we were leaving, it had really filled up, but it looked like tables were opening up pretty quickly. We started things off with a basket of truffle fries and the buffalo tater tots. The kids had their fingers crossed for cheese fries, but honestly, everything was so tasty they didn't even complain. A big shout-out to The Tap Station for their homemade ranch – and trust me, coming from a bit of a ranch fanatic, it was good. Then we all went for the burgers, and we were great. They tasted absolutely fantastic. We're already planning our next visit, and we will definitely get dessert next time. Thanks again for a truly wonderful afternoon!

Google
Overall Score: 5.6/10 – A mixed experience with clear effort from the staff and a very cool atmosphere, but food quality and delays held the visit back from being fully enjoyable. Atmosphere and Service: 6.4/10 – The place has a great look and theme, with fun décor including an old car display and a unique bathroom setup. The outdoor seating area is inviting and especially enjoyable for families, kids, and dog owners. The restaurant also has an upstairs area, though it was a bit confusing to figure out how seating worked. Despite being short-staffed, the workers were hustling, friendly, and apologetic about the delays, which helped make the experience more relatable and manageable. Cheeseburger: 6.1/10 – The burger itself had great flavor but was served cold, which impacted the overall experience. For the price, the portion was small and the fries were also cold, which was disappointing considering the quality could’ve been there with better timing. Buffalo Wings: 5.1/10 – A very average order. The wings came out warm, but the flavor was unremarkable and the portion size felt small for the cost. Nothing memorable, but passable.

I had passed by this place when I was out Ubering one night and just happen to get a delivery out that way for one of my printing customers, so got the opportunity to stop by, and it was PHENOMENAL! The atmosphere is VERY cool, the service, from a young lady that looked like a young Laura Dern(forgive me I don't remember her name), was friendly, quick and courteous. The food arrived promptly and was just SO GREAT! We got one of their 2lb pretzel appetizers for the table and it, along with the beer cheese and spicy mustard dips, were just perfect. Then from the Carolina Dog, fried pickle spears, tater tots, The Cowboy burger and several other dishes and drinks, it was an AWESOME experience! If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend it. It's about 25-30min from Knightdale but could have been an hour or more and still well worth the trip. Great Stuff!👍👍

Google
Great place to hang out with friends. Good beer selection and tasty bar food. Didn't try the sandwiches but they looked great. They have adult milkshakes that have a good kick! Also this place is kid friendly, but the kids don't get in the way (there's a small playground for kids to keep busy).

Google
I would move to Apex just to be closer to TapStation. I love how they repurposed a former gas station and used that as inspiration for the decor. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me and were very warm/friendly. If that was not enough, the beer was fantastic and the food was mouth watering. TapStation is a must stop for anyone in the area or just passing through. This will not be my last visit to this great/unique place.

Google
The food is unique and tasty. Cooked just right. The service has been very friendly and on point. The atmosphere, it's an old gas station vibe right next The road. Its perfect. Nice large out door seating areas. Picnic tables are a great touch. We have been for lunch twice. We have enjoyed it both times. Must try the southerner! Delish!

Google
We had a wonderful experience tonight with Jacob as our waiter. He was incredibly attentive and engaging. A+!! The food and beer was delicious and can’t say enough good things about those crispy tater tots. We loved the open air atmosphere and most certainly will be back for more dinners and drinks at this unique spot!!

Google
We shared a nice meal at Tap Station for lunch. We ordered the Fork & Knife burger, Cowboy burger, Grilled Cheese, and a grilled chicken sandwich (not pictured). We all enjoyed our food, great flavors and good quality ingredients. The tater tots in particular were delicious. The waiter and staff were kind and welcoming. We will definitely return.

Yelp
In my opinion, the best burgers hands down in the area! The burgers are always juicy, and is an equal ratio of patty to bun. Some restaurants serve fries that's been sitting but Tap Station fries are always crispy & hot! Haven't tried everything on the menu yet however can say with confidence that the burgers, chicken tenders, and fries/ tater tots will be amazing to anyone trying for the first time. The staff is very friendly, and during our first visit to the restaurant our waiter offered recommendations and was all around very helpful. The whole look and vibe of the restaurant is very unique; it's set up like a garage so depending on the weather the garage doors are open. There's indoor & outdoor seating, and two levels. The first level has an outdoor place space for little kids as well as games! Can't wait to frequent this place more once it gets warmer outside. Do yourself a favor and check them out!!

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Very cool and trendy restaurant great for meeting up with friends. The best food to get is definitely one of the burgers and fried pickles! Lots of good beer and great nice staff. Also lots of cute spots for pictures and has a play area for kids so perfect to hang out and also bring the little ones.

Yelp
Was here a few weeks ago now. Did not have the best experience. Service was down right awful. The only reason I'm still giving this place 3 stars is the food. I've always had great burgers when I go here. The interior is very unique with the lighting. They do have their own beer that they brew right on the premises. Not a huge fan of it personally but it's an ok beer.

Theresa P.

Yelp
We came through town on a Friday afternoon around 1:30 and when we drove past Tap Station, we decided it looked so cute we just had to try it. There is a sign that tells you to grab a drink at the bar and then grab a table. So we headed upstairs to the bar and after waiting forever finally were served. We then took a table on the patio and waited again for a long time for a waitress to bring us waters and menus. We finished our beers and watched the waitress flirt with the bartender and never come back to take our order so we left and went somewhere else to eat. I cannot comment on the food since we were never served, but I can say the service was terrible!

Pauline B.

Yelp
Welcoming staff who greet you with smiles. This is only the 2nd time we have been at the tap station and realized we enjoy the upper deck for a sandwich and a couple of drinks on a beautiful day. The food is bar food, wished it was a grilled burger over the smash burger but the chicken sandwiches and tater tots made up for it!! We like the drinks, the are fun and delicious! We will be back more often!!

Yelp
Three of us went here for dinner tonight, which is Monday. According to their Yelp info they are closed on Monday....but we went and they were packed. We sat downstairs in the only available table which was dirty, but was cleaned off. The menu is varied with a few appetizers, a few salads, a few burgers, some chicken sandwiches, etc. there's a kids menu with 4 choices. One of us got buffalo egg rolls, one of us got a kids cheeseburger with tiny fries(burger was overcooked )and I got a burger with a cucumber and tomato salad. The burger reminded me of the old steak and shake burgers. It was ok but not worth the price . I would not get it again. The best thing we had was the bang bang tots. We all enjoyed them. One gal was serving most of the tables, but still checked on us several times. Outside there's some games and a play area for kids. I will not return. There's much better burgers out there.

Gregory T.

Yelp
Great beer and good food. Ambience is casual, picnic tables outside. Good service. Great stop on a road trip.

Yousif A.

Yelp
Super friendly service in a unique setting. The food was great and to be able to feel the breeze upstairs on a beautiful evening really made our night. We'll be coming back.

Trisha L.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place!! I love the concept of turning an old auto garage into an amazing bar/restaurant. I absolutely love that they've stuck with the theme. I've eaten at the Tap Station twice. Both times we sat at the downstairs bar and Nate was the bartender. Nate is friendly and always super nice to my Mom as she asks him a million questions. Their cocktails are good and they usually have a pretty great list of beers on tap. My favorite cocktail there is the Pain Killer. Last night I told my husband that I felt like I was drinking a glass of vacation! I did not even know that the section of the drink menu I ordered from was called Vacations. Hahaha! Every food item I've had there (we like to share with anyone we are there with so I have tasted many of their menu items) has been delicious. My personal favorite is the chicken egg rolls on the appetizer menu. The pimento cheese burger is really good too. I wish this place was closer to my house! We would definitely be regulars there. As it is such a haul from our house, we will definitely stop in any time we are out that way.

Michael C.

Yelp
Everything we had was delicious! The tot special on Tuesday meant we got to try the bang-bang tots, which were exceptional! Then we had the Cowboy burger but subbed in pimento cheese and slaw and it was delicious! The atmosphere is amazing, with activities for the kids and a nice vibe. Our server, Goron, was incredibly friendly, just like everyone else we talked to. So happy to have found another great family place for dinner in Apex!

Daniel M.

Yelp
A bit on the pricier side but that alcoholic milk shake is one of the best ones milkshakes. Almost as good as chick fil a

Cary C.

Yelp
I was impressed with this place. The food is simple but well executed. It's classic American food but with some contemporary updates. I had the patty melt, it was great, subtle crunch on the rye bread, onions and cheese really worked together. The buffalo style tots were awesome. I was worried the sauce would make them soggy, but they were truly both saucy and crunchy, how do you do that? The service was great. The vibes are great, the music sort of matches the food, with some classic Americana but also some more recent stuff in the style. I had the hot rod jalapeño ale. It was subtle spicy, and a lot of the earthy green peppers vibes of the jalapeño, really well balanced. My wife loved her hazy IPA. I thought it was a great value, not a cheap place but for the quality I would pay more.

Linda S.

Yelp
Page was our waitress & she was very sweet & attentive to myself & friend that joined from out of state. They accommodated my request for a modification of my grilled cheese. The beer brats were really good. I didn't like the close slaw not mayo enough for me. We did the upcharge on the truffle fries & I was really disappointed, they were overcooked, as was my burger unfortunately. I did really like the gas station, automotive interior & there was a lovely large out door deck which would be fun with live music if not already an option. Make sure & get a photo in the actual truck where you can see downtown Apex. Sorry, somehow mine didn't take. Every one of the 3 servers we interacted with were very friendly so I'll be willing to try again because of that.

Lucy N.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a great theme. Impressed that it's an old auto garage converted to a restaurant. Food and drinks were good. Definitely try their home brew root beer! They have a big covered outdoor space, upstairs indoor and outdoor space. And on the side is fire pits with big connect 4, bocce ball and putt putt golf and a play area and sand pit. Kid friendly!

Emily M.

Yelp
This is such a cute place! I know it was once a mechanic shop that's been turned into a restaurant, and I love that they've kept the place auto inspired! This is a very kid friendly place as there's a play area outside for kids and plenty of outdoor seating. It's always been clean and the staff have always been friendly. My kids love it here, however, it's not my favorite. The burgers are decent, but nothing that stands out, and I hate their fries. They're sort of bland and get cold extremely fast due to their thinness. The fried pickle spears are ok, but again nothing special. I personally only go back (as little as possible) because my kids enjoy it.

Robbie C.

Yelp
We were driving by and were intrigued by the brewery, burgers and bourbon signs. Was a beautiful day so we chose to sit outside. There is an upper level and a grassy area in back. I never had an adult milkshake made with bourbon, vanilla and salted caramel so had to try it. Omg! I loved it! Very filling but soooo good! The veggie egg rolls were also delicious. Our server, Jada did an awesome job helping us decide and she told us they've been open about a year after converting from the existing garage. And they pack out on the weekends so be warned. I can't wait to go back for more adult milkshakes!

Jessica W.

Yelp
The Fancy Chicken Sandwich (grilled) is the best thing I've had here. The side salad was pretty good, and I was really glad they have green goddess dressing! We especially love all the seating options, and the playground. We'll definitely keep going back. P.S. we recently tried the apple pie egg roll and the peach cobbler, they were good but not fantastic. If you're a dessert lover/connoisseur consider finding dessert elsewhere.

Jöshua M.

Yelp
Gave Tap Station a try when Scratch Kitchen was on a 45 minute wait. Eh, it makes perfect sense why Tap Station didn't have the brutal wait that most places did for the Sunday after church crowd. Seat yourself anywhere at Tap Station and a server will eventually be with you. The food menu is straightforward enough, featuring classic bar favorites. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich and upgraded to truffle fries as my side (+$3). Prices are what you'd expect them to be. A buffalo chicken sandwich is a buffalo chicken sandwich. I do give Tap Station credit for giving me a very big chicken breast. I chose to down this all the way to 3 stars because the truffle fries were frankly a lazy insult. Usual truffle fries are tossed in parmesan cheese and truffle oil. These truffle fries are topped with parmesan cheese and served with a side of truffle-infused mayonnaise. This was very lazy and silly and grr amgery. Tap Station is 3 stars - a perfectly adequate place to eat and hang out, but not much beyond that.

A A.

Yelp
We enjoyed burgers and fries. I enjoyed the Cowboy burger. They have a great environment and plan to return for the craft beer and bourbon.

Mary Z.

Yelp
Tap Station is a cute, converted auto shop in downtown Apex. The interior is rustic and retro, with lots of reminders of the building's past, with a 70s soundtrack to match. The menu is a bit retro, too, with burgers, dogs, grilled cheese and classic appetizers and sides. A friend and I visited for lunch on a weekday and very much enjoyed it. We both ordered the All-American burger--hers with the comeback sauce and tater tots, and mine plain with fries. Our burgers were well cooked, tasty and not too big, but not too small. I'm not a "sauce girl," but my friend enjoyed the house comeback sauce and said it worked well with her burger. We didn't order drinks, but they are a brewery, with local offerings. Service was friendly and efficient. It wasn't crowded during our visit, but I drive by often, and the small parking lot can be packed, especially on weekends. Luckily, the GoApex Route 1 bus has two stops nearby, so for people (like me!) who live near the line, this might be your best bet.

Brenda T.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times now. I like the very rustic laid back atmosphere. The service has been good & food also good. I particularly have liked the sides I've tried including the slaw & the cucumber tomato feta salad. I didn't love the bang bang tots. We ended up asking for a cup of siracha because we didn't find them to have a lot of flavor/spice. Mixed that in & it helped a lot! I think this is a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner! Lots of outdoor seating, including a lot of shaded options too.

Kathy K.

Yelp
This second visit I visited on a Friday night at 5:30 with a group of 7 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant. The place was jam packed. We got a table right away although parking was limited. We parked behind the bank up the street and we didn't get towed. This time we were seated on the top floor. The ambiance is still really cool. Our table was the bed of a truck. That was fun. I had the same food as I did on my first visit-the southern burger and the feta, tomato and cucumber salad. Although I felt the food presentation was not as well done as last time, the food was still great. The service was not as great as it was last time. I never got a refill on my drink and we had to ask for the ticket. Still...one of my favorite places to eat in Apex.

Carlo W.

Yelp
Visited on Thursday night with a group of 13 for my son's 18th birthday dinner. The initial service started out slow, but progressively got better. I left the waitress a solid tip, because she was nice and patient. The food was average. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and fries. The fries are shoestring style, but a bit overdone. The burger was dressed exactly how I like, smothered with grilled onions and mushrooms. Unfortunately the burger patty itself was cooked far too long. It was beyond well done; it was burnt. The kids didn't seem to complain, but everything just seemed a bit average. The setting in the old auto station is cool, but that's what you're paying for. I would return, but with low expectations.

Jaime L.

Yelp
Perfect place for an easy going family dinner with kids. The food is quick but still delicious. The espresso martini and chai old fashioned were tasty.

Lori D.

Yelp
Went back after a few months. Food was excellent as always. Service was a bit confused at first. My friend and I had the Apex mojito as they didn't have the watermelon spicy margarita. I had the fancy chicken and fries which were yummy. Friend had the buffalo tots which she loved.

John D.

Yelp
This place still had that old time gas service station feel to it. So I got the patty melt and it did not disappoint me whatsoever and why you ask cause they got it right. Perfect mis of grilled onions beef and thousand island dressing on marble rye. Oh my. Yummyiness personified. You have to check this place out. And don't forget to ask for Grace to serve you she is amazing.

Sookia S.

Yelp
So my husband and I are helping with our son's PTA this year. This was our parents only event. I love so many things about this place. Let's start with the concept. It's an old gas/service station and they took that theme and ran with it. It isn't overdone and just works perfectly. I wish I had taken more pics. I love the second floor balcony seating. We had the best sunset that night. The only thing missing, the beach. Seriously, this place on the beach with steel drums. Y'all I am so there. The drinks and the bar. The downstairs bar is really the center attraction. I changed my drink order three times watch what other people ordered. I actually ordered my husband and I two drinks each because I couldn't decide. Lastly, the food. The food was just amazing and the portions were large. I was full from the apps before my side salad arrived. The side salad was my meal. It was amazing and the house dressing yum. I took my actual meal home and it was good the next day. Downside, you have to grab you own table. We had a large group and ended up creating a seating section. The waitstaff were sweet. Maybe they could tell by the parent vibes that we didn't get out much

Katie T.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised after reading hit or miss reviews about the food here. We'd parked behind the fire station and walked over as parking seems limited on busier nights. It's pretty large work seating at the inside bar, The food: My friend ordered several appetizers for the table. + Cheeseburger egg roll: Definitely cheesy; had a good sauce on the side: you get 2 cut in half + Onion rings: Greasy, but good; comes with their sauce which is delicious + Tot-chos: I would have really liked these without the chili, but that's more of a personal preference. You get a lot of them. For my entree I ordered the Southerner burger which has pepper jelly, cream cheese and an onion ring on it. Wow! The slight bite of the cream cheese mixed with the pepper jelly really helped. The meat patties (I got a double at the waitress' suggestion, but you can even upsize to three) had a bit of that yummy grilled crispiness. It was delicious and the best burger I've had in a while. Drinks: I've always found Mason Jar's (who owns this) beer to be average, but at least they have branched out to offer kinda besides lagers. I went with a sour; it was ok. The number of kids running around was a little annoying, but I guess that's inevitable when in Apex (family central). They have kerosene heaters everywhere which will be good when it gets cold.

Michael Q.

Yelp
Apex's Tap Station is perfectly nestled right at the END of the main street strip and businesses. You can leisurely stroll through downtown and end up at the very modern, tasteful, and trendy Tap Station. Staff was friendly, had a confident attitude (which we love), and even razzed us a bit when we tried to order a Long Island (off the menu). We started with the Watermelon Jalapeño Margarita and boy was it good. Not too spicy...not too sweet. My buddy had a beer. We sat upstairs, enjoyed the deck, sunshine, and....dogs! Speaking of dogs, we had the Chicago dog and Buffalo chicken sandwich. The breading and seasoning was very similar to Popeye's (win) and they even "crisped up" the tots. We were impressed by the Tap's overall model, décor, reasonable price point, service, and food. We look forward to our next "fill" and trying some of the other dogs on the menu.

J S.

Yelp
Tremendous ambiance, what's not to like. Very kid/family friendly, even some dogs too. The upstairs after 7pm is where it's at. We feel like the menu is trying too hard. So many categories and flavor profiles that don't blend, but something for everyone for sure. Both of us fell for the signature tot upgrade but it was too much and overwhelming with the melts we ordered. Plain tots from here on out, they are perfect on their own. And what's up with egg rolls not having a side? Just sayin... Apologies for the half eaten photos BUT this was our reality, lol, and also where we stopped. Figgy Piggy was tasty but for the price could use a lot more bacon, and fresh. Patty melt was 5/10 but good. The bang bang tots we obviously liked more. The buffalo ones were too spicy and salty, quite disappointing. A loaded tot salad, if you will. Eventually this restaurant will find "its thing" and get really well known for it. Gonna enjoy watching this one grow!

Randy W.

Yelp
Seems like a good throw back idea. There is an area for kids to play and dogs allowed outside downstairs. Kinda funky to go up outside stairs to enter second floor. Minimum amount of seating inside. Lots seating outside looking over busy/load highway 55. Decor is historic and cute trying to capture the old service station location. I am writing this review months after visiting but my wife and I both were not impressed with out food and service was slow and no check in. Hense, no drink refills. Been there, done this.

David P.

Yelp
I have had the urge to try the TS since it opened in May. The stars finally alligned and I treated a friend to celebrate a promotion. WOOT WOOT! TS has an enviable location in the Historic Holt&Sons gas station on the corner of Salem st and Highway 55. The only potential negative is parking. It is provided behind and on the side of TS, but it does not meet the demand. We parked on Salem st, and walked several blocks. No biggie on a Fall eve. Like I mentioned, it is an old gas station transformed into a restaurant/sports bar. Two stories with designated areas to eat/booze on both floors. They have paid homage to Holt and Sons with art work, Murals, gas related decorations. Upstairs is open air with a great view of 'the peak of living'. While downstairs has: 22 picnic table, space heaters, playground, and putt putt. The menu is traditional bar food, burgers/fries/salads, wings etc. They have tapped (pun intended) into the trend and provide trendy boozes, both beer and alcohol. Not for this teetotaler. Each its own... We kept it simpe and had 2 burgers and fries. Our server, Amaya, was top notch. She is a good combination of effervescence and efficiency. Our food was very good, and fairly priced. ($10-$15 range) We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, Amaya's smile, our view, and the moment. Good times! 5 star night.

Christy C.

Yelp
This place is amazing! There are kids activities, patios upstairs and down, inside seating, multiple bars, tvs, etc. The vibe is laid back and kid friendly. I got the fancy crispy chicken sandwich and it was to die for. Soooo delicious. The fries are skinny, crispy and delightful. My daughter had the grilled cheese. My husband had the buffalo chicken egg rolls..so yummy! The food came out quickly and we had a great experience!

Kat G.

Yelp
I've loved watching the transformation take place to now having this new restaurant. TapStation in Downtown Apex is a full service restaurant with a brewery onsite and a rooftop bar. Stopped in on the weekend, we were excited to find parking. The menu is small, we were there to try their drinks. I ordered their watermelon jalapeño Margarita which was refreshing. We ordered cheese tater tots and veggie egg rolls. Overall great space, enjoyed the ambiance and staff was friendly. I want to try their adult milkshakes. We didn't get to hang out as it was hot and humid. Hope to come back when the weather cools down.

Ralf L.

Yelp
We enjoyed it. It's bar food and craft beers. If that is what you are looking for and expecting it's good. Had the Carolina dog and my wife had a burger, and they were both good. Good selection of craft beer and they let you taste it before ordering a pint. Service was good and the outdoor seating was nice. We will be back.

Charles T.

Yelp
The reviews with one and two stars are spot on. Place has mega potential but they need to listen to the customers. The ambiance is what makes it a cool Place but they seem to be relying on that alone and skipping or skimping on the rest. Went in on a Sunday evening. Place was not that busy. Asked for well done fries. Came out blackened but soggy. Told them to forget it but they brought new ones (which was nice), but they were not much better. Asked about the root beer, waitress warned us against it. Tried a sample and yep, it was horrible. Tasted like honey water. If they know it's bad, why not just pull it and then fix it? Asked for a coke instead, it never came out. Reuben sandwich was $16 but lacking a key ingredient, a sufficient amount of meat! Waitress was nice but on her phone too much. Place needs attention to details!

Erik B.

Yelp
Okay, so last night was my first time visiting. Atmosphere was good. Had a cool retro vibe! We were actually headed to a different place for dinner, but as we drove by I turned around and went in. Glad I made that choice. I saw chili on the menu and saw cheese fries, so I asked if I could have chili cheese fries. They happily obliged and the chili cheese fries were on point. The waitress commented on how they should add it to the menu. I ordered the Carolina Burger (chili / slaw on the burger) and it was fantastic. Since it was my first visit the waitress told me they did smash style burgers, and they were - but I'd probably just order a single patty next time as the volume of food was a lot. Wife ordered the Chicago style dog and it was also large. Really good flavor.

Lindsey S.

Yelp
We had a great time at Tap Station! We stopped in while brewery hopping around town and they have a good selection of beers. The beer is definitely the star of the show, the food was pretty standard but still decent nonetheless. We will be back!

Kurtis Q.

Yelp
I walked into Tap Station with high expectations and I was not disappointed. I am not one to usually write reviews but the service was top-notch and created a great experience for my family and I that we'll be sure to be back. Nancy was our waitress and despite the place getting busy she took the time to tell us about the menu, whats popular and her favorite items. Great recommendations, I ordered a Red cream Ale for my taste and the happy Place Lager for my wife. Both were outstanding and we will be taking some home with us the next time we stop in. It did get a bit crowded but with the weather

Erin B.

Yelp
Nah had enough and won't be back. Positives-building, views, and atmosphere. The end. Why they aren't taking this more seriously I have no idea! This place could be a gem but not at this rate. Seat yourself weird but fine. Order drinks and appetizers. Appetizers always come out first, sans utensils and then drinks. The feeling of trying to get people out asap is very apparent. Not lack of staff-just lack of staff who may want to be there. Ok first drinks. Completely awful unless you order something that is almost all alcohol like a martini. Lesson learned. Apps-sometimes hot and fresh, tonight not. ‍ But no one comes to check so you deal with it. Dinner! Chicken sandwich no-a thick piece of chicken that seems odd on a bun. Chicken tenders better, would be great if sauce wasn't super carefully rationed. Tots good-hard to do wrong. Orzo pasta salad-just no. Pasta salad called and agreed. Again so mediocre I don't think I can give anymore tries. Feeling like staff was pushing us out well before closing or drinks were finished kinda sealed the deal. Bill was brought without asking if we wanted anything else-and we did! So much potential but apparently no one is interested.

Yelp
Since the restaurant/bar opened we have been wanting to give it a try. The outdoor seating and atmosphere were the attraction. We finally got the opportunity to have lunch one day during the week just before the Christmas holiday. As we expected the outside seating and upper deck area were fantastic. But that's where it ends. The bartender was not friendly; we sat upstairs on the deck. We had burgers which were horrible. The burger was so thin , greasy and the bun was like a grocery store bun... small and cheap appearance. For a place to advertise beer, bourbon and burgers they need to clearly readdress the burgers. I have had better burgers and toppings at a Wendy's, Red Robin or Highway 55. We drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant and we were extremely disappointed.

Yelp
Cool and unique vibes and even better food. Specials are always great and there are so many options on the menu! I am gluten free and I always have lots of options to choose from. Can't go wrong here--one of my favorite spots in the triangle!!

Yelp
This spot feels like such a missed opportunity. Stopped in for lunch and was completely underwhelmed. The beer I had was cold and decent, if not unremarkable, but that's about it. The food was mediocre and just kind of thrown at us, and the bourbon drink was watered down and tasteless - don't put "bourbon" in your name if you're going to mess up the drinks. The decor and ambiance is cool, but this place should be so much better than it is. It just feels like no one cares what's going on in the kitchen - you couldn't even read half of the menu because they were faded? - and they're hoping the novelty is enough. It was fine for a first visit, it won't be for a second one.

Yelp
We went to the TEDx event in Apex and decided to meet family for a late lunch/early dinner. Maggy was our server..."Three CHEERS FOR MAGGY" I was the DD, but the tables beers were never empty and my mushroom swiss burger was delicious! Ezekiel the GM came and talked with us and handled the staff and crowd with ease. We will definitely come back if we are back in Apex.

Yelp
Had the chocolate peppermint beer. Not a hint of either flavor. Reubens was ok but bread was mushy. Asked for a knife and never got it until we were done (no knives upstairs? ). Lots of other places I'd rather go.

Yelp
Service is always outstanding. We like the atmosphere. The food is updated bar fare. I particularly like the Curried Brat. My wife loves the Cowboy burger.

Yelp
We decided to finally try this place at off hours because it is usually very crowded. We got grilled cheese, cheeseburger egg rolls, and the double burger with truffle fries. The food was tasty and their prices are very reasonable. They were out of the giant pretzel but everything we had was delicious and our waitress Kristina was a rockstar. She was very attentive, sweet, informative, and funny! We hope we have her again next time we are in.

Yelp
I was really disappointed with this place. Every time I drive by since it's opened I've been impressed with what they did to the building. I finally got a chance to eat here and I was really excited thinking that the food would be as good as the location, but I was sadly wrong. I tried a few of their beers, none were great. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries as my meal, I don't know if the cooks are afraid to season their food but both came out extremely bland. In fact I don't think they had any salt at all on the fries. Also the fries tasted old, I mentioned that to the bartender and he said that's the way they're supposed to be? He said that the way they cook them they don't get crispy, but not only were they not crispy but they just tasted like old McDonald's french fries. Maybe their friar grease is old? I don't know but it was not impressive food by any means. I might go back to try one of their salads, they seemed interesting and it seems like a lot of people order them.

Yelp
Was very much looking forward to this place. Love what they've done with the property (aside from the playground) & decorations. Was hoping would be a new favorite spot. That's not the case....To start off with you can't turn left into parking lot heading south of Hwy 55, so then proceed to turn left on Salem and still can't turn left into parking lot. Such a hassle to go turn around and come back to get into parking lot. Didn't know that ahead of time. Visited on a hot day. The "inside" which is just a few bay doors open was blazing hot with one small fan pointed at one table. Bartenders were not very attentive or personable. Like many previous reviews waited 45+ minutes for a hot dog and chicken sandwich both of which fell apart immediately. Fries were cold. All very disappointing for a business with other locations - even if this one was newer. Disappointed in beer selection but understandable given they are a brewery. There is just seems to be so many of these craft beer places now with kids running everywhere. Just not my thing. Want a simple beer in a simple bar. If you dig craft beer and playgrounds load up the mini van and enjoy. I'll be down the street.
