Taqueria 5 Hermanos Food Truck

This is a fantastic taqueria food truck located right off the main road, just north of Homestead. It offers seating for about 20 people, though I opted to take my food to go. I ordered the taco and quesadilla frita combo, which came out to $11—a very fair price. The food was fresh, authentic, and an incredible value. Service was quick and friendly, and they accept credit cards. No complaints at all! If you're craving good, authentic Mexican food, this spot is definitely one of the better options around. Highly recommend!

This spot started as a food truck and has since evolved into an outdoor dining setup, which I love! It’s located on a dirt road next to a gas station in the Redlands, giving it a true rustic charm. It’s always busy, and the seating consists of simple wooden chairs outside. You’ll even see some roosters roaming around, adding to the authentic, laid-back atmosphere. The tacos are affordable. We tried the asada, chicken, and al pastor, along with an asada sope. The sauces were great, and the food itself was solid and flavorful. While it’s definitely authentic, I wouldn’t compare it to true Mexican street tacos. Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual and inexpensive bite with a unique vibe.

Food was amazing !! Didn’t speak any English so was a bit hard to order. Menu is not complicated though. They know what they do well. Next to gas station. Easy quick bite

I came from South Korea. We stopped by on our way to Key West. My friend and I each ordered one of the signature dishes. Everything was really delicious, and the staff were very friendly as well. Good luck!!

Best tacos in town. Why go waste your time at a restaurant. You have one here, this food truck has been here at the same place for over 10 years. Come try it you won't regret it.

4.5 stars. If you're on hwy 997 out of Florida City, stop into this hidden food truck. The food is really good and the atmosphere is nice sitting under palm trees and cafe lights. There could be some work done on picking up trash, but overall, it was a nice place to eat. We ordered some tacos and burritos and also tacos and sopes. Really good flavors. The price was right. The tables were clean. The service was fairly fast. I would stop by again if I'm in the area. Thanks for the experience!

I ordered takeout for about six people and we all felt the same way—the food just didn’t have much flavor. I had really high expectations because of all the great reviews, but everything tasted pretty bland, like it wasn’t seasoned at all. It was disappointing. Will probably try them again in a few months…Maybe it was a bad day for the cook

Absolutely loved this place! Saw it while driving by. It's a food truck by gas station. They have a great set up. Nice clean tables with shade umbrellas and lights and palm trees, very pretty setting. Say hello to the chickens that are roaming around. They take your order and you relax while you wait. Best Mexican food we had in a long while. Tacos and a chicken plate, everything was delish! Salivating while thinking of it. Must stop! Bathrooms at the gas station. You're welcome!

El servicio estaba excepcional, La comida era como tomar un pedazo de mexico y ponerlo en florida. Los sopes facil eran 10/10 suaves, hechas a mano. Los tacos tambien hechos a manos se siente el sabor que le ponen amor a la comida. No ay ni una carne que no es deliciosa pero mi favorita era la de Carnitas. Si no an probado esta comida TIENEN QUE VENIR PRONTO!!

I was looking for a new taqueria to try & I'm glad to have found this one (thanks to other Yelp reviews). When it comes to price, quality, options & service, this place hits all the marks. After sitting down in their covered dining section I was greeted right away & given a menu. The prices are great ranging from $3-4 a taco depending on the meat. They also had platter options that come with rice & beans but I decided to stick with the tacos. I was excited to see they serve one of my favorite meat cuts- cachete. I ordered a cachete, steak & al pastor; all 3 were great. The corn tortilla was a bit crispy, giving it a nice firm texture & allowing the taco to stay intact. The cachete & steak were incredibly tender with some nice seasoning to them. The al pastor was also a winner but I prefer when there's actual pieces of pineapple mixed in. The flavor was still there so no complaints. They also give you a side of green & red salsa. Both had some kick to them but their distinct flavors made them irresistible. They offer a good variety of Jarritos, Coca-Cola & water so there's a little something for everyone. I highly suggest trying them out & when I'm ever in the area again I'll be running back here!

FINALLY, a good taco spot in Miami! The 30-minute drive was absolutely worth it. Conveniently next to a gas station, this taqueria offers plenty of tables with shaded areas and plenty of parking. We began with chips and salsa, and they did not disappoint. The chips were perfectly crispy and paired wonderfully with the fresh salsa. I had three tacos de asada, and my husband chose the steak quesadilla. Both dishes were spot on. The steak was of excellent quality, tender, and packed with flavor! One of the great things about this location is its proximity to a Mexican market just five minutes away. After enjoying the meal, we headed over to the market (they have great pan dulce). Overall, this taqueria is a fantastic find, can't wait to go back.

I stumbled across this place when I was in the area and I'm so happy that I did. It's a food truck with plenty of seating and I was there around 2 o'clock and it was pretty busy. Among their offerings were tacos, tostadas, and burritos and deciding what to order was the only downside of my visit here since everything looked so good! I finally settled on a couple of carne asada(steak) tacos and a carne asada tostada. The tacos came stuffed with meat, chopped onion and cilantro and the tostada had refried beans, meat, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and cotija cheese on it. It was absolutely delicious but it was so filling that I couldn't finish it. They serve two sauces on the side and I really loved the green sauce. It was so fresh tasting and complemented the tacos without being too overpowering. The staff were really nice and made sure the tables were cleaned quickly when people left. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the areas and love tacos as much as I do!

Third time here. Ordered 9 tacos to go, 4 pollo, 4 asada, 5 pastor. Total was $41, pricey - but worth it. I was disappointed when I got home because my order was incorrect, instead of asada we received carnitas. But WOW - the carnitas is now my favorite. The pork had such a delicious, smoked flavor... this will now by my go to order. A "happy mistake"!

Been in homestead my whole Life. We have the best Mexican food in south Florida. And this place is the best of our best. The enchiladas are incredible but get anything. It is a good truck so you'll be eating outside and the RESTROOM is in the gas station. All of this is evidence of a great Mexican place! lol.

South Florida called, and Cinco Hermanos on Krome answered! Famished after my drive from Virginia to homestead, three tacos (tripe, carne asada, lengua) hit the spot - pico de gallo fresh, ambiance chill. Perfect pit stop to kick off my Sunshine State feast!

This little food truck is like an outside restaurant. They've got picnic tables lined up for seating and servers that come and serve the tables. They bring you menus plus you can visualize the menu on the actual food truck. Remarkably fast service! Food was hot and delicious. Drinks are stored in a cooler. The only down drinks aren't really cold but they'll do just fine. I ordered the carne asada taco and they smacked plus their hot sauce is everything! Recommend this spot!

Great tacos and a nice open area to eat. Service is attentive and fast. I wish they had more sauces and maybe a little more spicy. Overall a very good spot for a quick lunch.

This was a billion out of ten. This is another one of those few places that's actually as close as it gets to eating in Mexico. We ordered the Sunday special menudo, tacos and quesadillas and it was all worth the drive. I wish this was actually in Miami but then they'd have to up their prices and put a stupid gimmick like every other Mexican place in Miami. If you're craving actual Mexican food, make the drive

Amazing food truck on krome avenue! Great and quick service. Ordered carne asada tascos and carne asada sope. They definitely don't hold back on the portions! The sope was my fav. My bf had carne asada quesadillas, they were delicious and cheesy. For drinks we ordered jaritos. Loved that they had the big bottles! Prices are fair

Super fresh, Super tasty & definitely Super Authentic! Tacos & more Tacos! Absolutely delicious and 1 is never enough. Don't judge the exterior of this stationed Mexican Food truck located right next to a gas station. They have picnic style tables for you to sit down at- pick a spot and the waitress will come to you to take your order. Super chill and very casual since it's outdoor seating next to the food truck. We ordered Tacos (of course!) and my girls chose the chicken quesadillas. Everything was served hot, fresh and delicious! Carne Asada Tacos 6/10 ehh these were not my favorite but were good Carnitas Tacos- ohhhh man, umm yes and I will have another one pls & thank you! Let me tell you these babies did not disappoint and were loaded with so much flavor and juiciness!! Mind you I'm not usually a carnitas fan but these babies had me saying otherwise. Order them and definitely drizzle, dunk heck even drench them with the salsas they come with. Tacos Al Pastor- 10/10 After having tacos in Mexico I wasn't sure how authentic can anything compare over here but these tacos were amazingly delicious! Super flavorful and very tasty! Quesadillas de Pollo- 10/10 lightly toasted on the exterior and filled with so much chicken and cheese on the inside. My girls are so picky and annoying when it comes down to trying new things BUT they left no crumbs behind with these Quesadillas!! It was so good they ordered another! Lol

Just plain good. Everything ordered was done to perfection. Service is excellent. Never a bad meal and if you try the Caldo you will be amazed

We moved to Homestead 2 years ago and this truck is hands down our most frequently visited restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. Even though it's a food truck you can sit at picnic tables and the ambiance is lovely. Better than some restaurants I know. Service is always quick, efficient, and friendly. Love Cinco Hermanos so much!!

Was my go to place because I love their Al pastor, but the last 3 times I've come here to get al pastor tacos, the pork has been super fatty and the juices/sauce super greasy and it pours out as you eat your taco. The chicken isn't that great either. It's a little fatty and I've found cartilage in it. Will take a break from coming here for a while. Hopefully when I come back the meat has improved. When you order tostadas make sure to ask them to pack each one individually, because if you don't they put all of them in one box and then pile the ingredients on top, so when you grab your tostadas you have been gypped, because technically only half of your tostada actually has toppings on it. The rest stays on the other tostadas that have been layered and overlapped in the box.

Delicious the guacamole was creamy and refried beans so good, oh and the crispy tortilla chips were freshly made as so good with their salsa, I'll for sure be back!!!

I loved this food truck! The seating is really nice and usually not too packed but had a good vibe. Their menu is awesome and reasonably priced. I was super satisfied with my combo meal, my phone did not eat first this time! Their tacos are solid and I'll definitely be back soon!

10 minutes sitting before server came with menus. 15 after she took out order. Party next to us got their food first and we had be sitting for about 15 before them. No Diet Coke no non carbonated drinks except for water. Other than all that, the food was ok.

Guys I am a big fan, this place is awesome. Prices are right , service is great and food is spectacular. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

I order 3 lengua, 3 cachete and 3 carnitas and a tostada. I honestly I am still wondering what was what. I asked the waitress and she was also puzzled by my question. Everything tasted and looked the same. Same texture same flavors very salty. I was hoping to have different flavors being that they were different cuts of meat. One of the tacos was nice, like I said I don't know what it was. All the meats were mushy and salty. Also a lot of flys. Sorry for the one star I drove one hour to try this place. What a disappointment.

This place do Not sell diet friends nor juices. Food is amassing but there's clients which are not allowed to drink or can't drink just regular sodas for healthy issues.

It holds true that the best kept secrets in good food are at Gas stations. Came upon this food truck at a Marathon gas station. Ordered 3 tacos, 1 chicken and 2 Al Pastor. The tacos were very delicious and very authentic. All tacos had slices of radishes, cilantro and onions. The tomatillo and homemade hot sauce gave the tacos additional great flavor. The reason for the 4 stars was that they didn't have hardly anything to drink, not even water. Was hoping for some good horchata with these delicious tacos but they felt short. Bummer

The nicest people in the world. The food was orgasmic to say the least. The truck is in the parking lot of a gas station but, there's a lovely spot with clean wooden benches to dine and I will return when in the area. Aribaaa!

People underestimate the importance of a good tortilla in a taco. The tortillas here were undercooked and way too thick. Our tacos fell apart and felt too mushy. The asada was ok, but slightly greasy tasting. The Al pastor is awful. Not authentic at all, not even close. Too greasy. The enchiladas, again with the thick tortillas making everything feel mushy in your mouth. The chicken inside the enchiladas was fried. Why? Idk but it added a layer of grease that you'd never find in real enchiladas. The rice was under seasoned and over cooked. It needed more love. Beans were incredible, they tasted like home. Same with the carne a la Mexicana. Steak was cooked beautifully and the flavors really popped on this one. Came bc of the hype and it was just that, hype.

This was on point, asada and the smoke on the carnitas I don't know what else to say but it you like Mexican food can't beat it for this area.

Cool little Taco Truck next to a gas station, there was plenty of parking and it had a covered area with fans to keep people cool/dry depending on the day. The staff was very friendly and you could sit and enjoy a meal like a restaurant or you could order food like a regular food truck. The Staff were very friendly and spoke both Spanish and English, they let us choose our table and waited on us. The food was very good! It was definitely authentic. The plates and silverware were all very clean (all of the facilities were) and the food was hot! Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and are looking for a quick and fun pitstop.

This taqueria is situated in homestead, and has a nice little set up on Krome avenue. I came here really hungover after a crazy night, and the tacos were exactly what I needed. I love to eat al pastor tacos. It's my go to, and my favorite type of taco. This truck makes authentic ones, and they're pretty solid. I wouldn't necessarily make the drive just for these tacos, but if you're in the area then you should definitely check it out.

This place was great! It's a food truck, but they have a nice seating area. There are a bunch of covered picnic tables, with lights, fans and even gutters to keep the rain out. They really put some thought and effort into it and it shows. It's right next to a BP gas station. There's a bunch of parking, and the tables were clean. When we arrived they let us choose which table we wanted to sit at and offered table service. The servers were all very nice and answered any questions we had about the menu. They accept both cash and cards. The food was really good. A very authentic tastes of Mexican I felt. The burritos, quesadillas and grilled chicken with onions all get the stamp of approval. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for lunch or even a snack. You won't regret it. Oh, and don't forget to say hi to the chickens

Authentic Mexican food- tacos were delicious! Busy on a Sunday, and from the look plenty of locals- dishes from other tables looks great- we only ordered tacos to try it- will for sure be back!

What a great authentic Mexican food setup! I got the dos tacos y burrito. El pastor tacos were very tasty and the steak burrito was full and delicious. The drink options were limited. This would've been great with a crisp cold beer. The service was friendly and attentive. The roaming rooster was fun to watch too. Very good experience! Thanks!

Look past the fact that this is a food truck permanently in the corner of a gas station parking lot- this is authentic and delicious Mexican. The steak char was terrific and the homemade tortillas took everything over the top. Will definitely be back!

Ok so we go to this quaint taco truck at least once a Wk. (Order by phone / on line, drive up, pick up food & eat in the car has become a new norm for the last few months, but it's also become a great adventure for my family & myself) It's always a delight to go to this place, however on our last journey to Krome & 272 St. The food quality was NOT as usual. Ordered 4 Tostadas with Carne Asada, a Quesadilla with carne asada & cheese (which looks like a fried empanada, but it's delish! Try it, you'll luv it! You take a bite and this cheese just bursts out, and you have to pull the empanada away from you because the cheese just keeps goinggggg). Ok back to the Tostadas... The Carne Asada was crispy, burnt, not fresh , I don't know if they gave us left over beef or what happened, but I called from the car told them our concern and asked for 2 more fresh ones plsssss! (Didn't ask for our $ back, just placed another order ). Well, it was a bit better but they still incorporated the hard meat Pcs. So we will give them a rest for a bit & see if the next time we go it's better. After all, if you're driving a good 35 min. Or so to go get your Food, wouldn't the Owners of this place want to please their customers by giving them TOP quality, to the best of their ability food???

The best tasting tacos al pastor I have ever had. I drive from Cutler Bay about a 20 min commute for these tacos. All the food is great, my usual is 3 tacos al pastor and a carne asada quesadilla. I have put lots of people on to this place and they get hooked. The food is seasoned perfectly from the meats to the hot sauces. its just a beautiful thing. Gotta try the hot sauces the red is my favorite. I want some tacos right now.

I come almost everyday for a vegan burrito. (Vegetarian no cheese or cream) and the people are awesome, hot sauce is great and being from Southern California it's more authentic Mexican food, not "chipotle". Thanks guys.

Good ass tacos, cool little food truck on Krome Ave. Definitely one of the best taco spots in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out. It has patio, outdoor seating if that's your thing. One of my go-to spots to grab some good Mexican food.
