Taqueria Datapoint #2-Zarzamora Street Location

Decided to try this little restaurant while running errands. Delicious. The staff is super friendly and my waitress, Fabby was very helpful. I had a potato egg and cheese taco on flour with a side of crispy bacon. Very good and loved the green salsa. The flour tortillas are soft and delicious. So much so that I’m taking some home. I think I’ll take a taco to my hubby at work so he can have a yummy lunch! Will definitely come again.

This is a small restaurant that we tried for the first time today. I have to say that the waitresses were so busy yet. They were very nice. They worked as a team and I would like to tell the manager that they were all very nice. Hopefully my family and I will go back. Thank you for your service. Oh,& their Fideo was yummy! so good. Mini tacos with three kinds of beef were delicious. I would highly recommend those dishes.

Came here around 8:30pm and we got sat very quietly for our drink order and they gave us a few minutes to think over what we want. After we ordered it took maybe 10 minutes and the food came out and man it was so good!

It was on point! 😊 We were looking for a place to eat tacos and some places were closed. We ended up finding this my accident. The tacos were delicious and the everything was made fresh. The drinks were amazing. The staff were very nice and friendly. The drive thru - goes by fast. This is our favorite place.

Normally I wouldn't complain because of the price but I just ordered a large fideo loco and what I got was mostly soup with hardly any meat or beans or noodles. I would have to say it's not even worth the $8.99 price. I Normally like coming here for the menudo but today decided to try something different. Boy what a bad choice.

I had the nachos and they were great! Too much for me to eat in one sitting so took leftovers home. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful!

Very friendly wait staff, graciously takes your order in Spanish! best chips and salsa! So fresh. They have menudo/pozole all weekend, all day

I asked for a chorizo and bean with a scrambled egg. They made me speak to 3 different people clarifying what I wanted and gave me attitude about my order... and I still didn't get what I wanted. My second taco was a potato and egg with cheese but it had so much of the chorizo in it.. I will not be returning.

We drove down to San Antonio for lunch here. Glad we did it. The food and service were excellent. Beans and rice are different from some others in a good way and we loved them. Very tasty. They reopened the place this May after the fire and it is clean and nice inside. Many tables to choose from and many food to choose from as well. Will definitely return when we're around the area again!!!

Flavors straight out of Mexico. Great service that is friendly. It's an environment you go to just eat in or pick-up at their drive through. You wont be disappointed. My SA go to Mexican restaurant.

We found this place my accident, though we were going to a different Taqueria Datapoint. But we were already there and figured we'd try it. The mini tacos were delicious! Staff was really friendly as well. The place is a bit smaller than the other locations but still clean and homey.

Amazing taquitos. Carne asada and tripas are the best. Breakfast is also good. Great deals on breakfast tacos.

Excellent food with warm salsa and chips. I had the burrito with beef fajita and it was delicious.

So this is the restaurant that my best friend and I go to because it's open late he gets out late and I get out of school late so when we're hungry and we have time to get together to catch up, this is the restaurant that we go to I always get the pork Carnitas They are so good they are so juicy they're not dry they have so much flavor to them. They come with rice and beans and the flour tortillas are so good. Also the chips and salsa that they bring to the table. The salsa is really good I don't so much prefer the ones that they bring with the meal so I always asked for extra salsa that comes with the chips so I can put that on top of my plate. Lol This place is about an 8 1/2 out of 10 really good I do recommend.

Arrived at 5 was seated promptly with chips and water ordered the caldo de res it was delicious I will return to try tacos

This place is not very good compared to the one on de zavala. I usually get the Jalisco burrito with asada. The one I got from this location was disgusting the asada was burnt and they left out a few ingredients that usually go in the burrito. The burrito only had meat and cheese. I was very disappointed but what do you do?

Spontaneous hankering for barbacoa. Datapoint didn't disappoint. Great menu selections. Co-dining compadres had excellent plates of country con huevos / "tacos luz" as well as mini-tacos al pastor. Wow, was everything great! Tomatillo salsa is tangy and a little limey (perfect) and the mini taco plate was served with a huge grilled/charred jalapeño that was muy appreciado por nosotros. Will return many times no doubt. Service was super friendly. A small mark off for ambience etc. otherwise 5

The food had no flavor. The menudo had no harmony, color was off, and again NO flavor. The service was slow asked for extra salsa got one.

The mini tacos are so good! They may not look like much at first, but the meat is so flavorful and when paired with cilantro, onions, avocado, and salsa, it's absolutely delicious. I got 5 barbacoa tacos and that was more than enough for me. I also ordered the horchata which was nice and refreshing. Only complaint is that I was charged more than the price stated on the menu so their menus might be a bit outdated. Side note: they offer unlimited chips and salsa which is a good reason to dine in

Taqueria Datapoint is a long time favorite of mine and love that the Fred rd location is still open. The prices are still fair and their 3 taco special at 2.99 is a great deal when prices everywhere are rising. The food is always delicious and their flour tortillas have that homemade flavor I love. Their corn tortillas are handmade and are perfect for the gringas tacos (cheese meat avocado )

The Datapoint franchise is pretty damn good. Any site I have visited, I have not been disappointed with their food. My go to dishes are the asada nachos and the asada enchiladas! I recommend those 2 dishes to everyone I bring. The mini tacos are pretty good as well. Today, this site gets 3 stars because of the service. I put in my order and it took 40 minutes. After about 20 minutes and 2 new customers coming in, I realized they were taking long. My waitress never came back. I had to flag down another waitress to ask what was going on. They said they would check. The 2 customers that came in after me received their meals and I still hadn't gotten an update. Finally another waitress comes and started making an excuse about my ticket. I was about to pay for my drink and leave when I was told it was coming out... I wasn't too happy with the service but the nachos were soooo good...

This place is dirty. It's gone down hill. I'm done. Tacos contain few ingredients. Machacado taco was all egg and a pinch of pico. They've done twice now. I get tacos with ingredients from other tacos. Been and cheese with pieces of lettuce in there? What's that? Potato and egg with bits of onion? They're working dirty in the kitchen. The current health score is an 86, and that's generous. I stopped eating in the restaurant cause table service is bad. The workers speak so fast and slangy that I can't understand what they're saying. They usually have loud music playing. They water down their coffee. This place used to be consistent but the kitchen doesn't seem to take pride on their work. I'm out. Goodbye datapoint. The only redeeming quality is their salsa rojo.

I had the mini asada tacos and hubby had enchiladas. Everything was fresh and yummy. Priced nicely too.

Where do I start, Food is very delicious. Always greeted with a smile when I come. Ambiance is a bit old school but those are always the best places for food. Chips and Salsa are superb, Barbacoa is All meat, Tripas are to die for, Carne Asada is on point, Carne Guisada is great, I love there rice especially with the added veggies, Beans are great and have chorizo in them. Tortillas are always hot and fresh. Lemonade is good, Jamaica is delicious. I have yet to have a bad experience when I come here and I've been a customer off and on for over 10 years now. Probably one of the most underrated/best Mexican Restaurants in San Antonio and I've been to a lot.

This place has a very traditional home Mexican food menu. I'd like how it's open till midnight. My go to meals here are the Barbacoa mini tacos and the Carne Asada burrito.

We had the mix of street tacos of carne asada and pastor. The other plate we tried had tripe and lengua as well. Will definitely return to try breakfast items. The double corn tortilla hit the spot. The homemade red and tomatillo sauces were supreme. They had the typical agua Fresca variety of horchata and Jamaica.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl I used to love coming here, service was always great! , the food has always been consistent because of the cooks in the back who definitely have blessed hands, on the other hand the servers have the worst attitude, I was in drive through with hubby and one of the waitresses older woman in her 40s maybe 50s if I'm wrong kept trying to make eye contact with my man smiling at everything he said ? and when I tried to tell her something regarding our order she would ignore me and just had a nasty attitude towards me only. I told my husband not to say anything else and let me do the interaction I asked her for extra salsa and she looked at me like she couldn't do what I was asking and I asked her sternly "can you do that OR NOT" I was getting tired of her ugly self , estos tipos de personas hace que la gente no quiera volver. I have tried datapoint on medical and this was a bad experience at this location on gramercy. When I walked in with my family they told me I could pick a table. Then as I walked by the booths they were full of dirty dishes like they hadn't gotten cleaned. Then we sat at a table and waited for about 5 min. After waiting my spouse had to ask for menus once we got them the waiter took the order for the people who sat after us. I grabbed my things and told my family let's go. When I walked past the young male waiter he said "oh I'm sorry" after we clearly had asked for menus and knew we were there first. It was a bad experience I would never go back just because of that service. Ambiance was blah they had no motivation or drive in their line of work.

I got it tonight with my partner to go. We ordered two bean and cheese tacos with an order of mini tacos and a tripa taco. It was very delicious and hot, which is always a bonus when ordering to go. The staff was also very friendly.

Worst tacos ever. I thought I bought them at Taco Cabana ALL TORTILLA! Save your money and go somewhere else.

First the service was okayish , not great, they definitely have an attitude. But some employees are helpful and kind just not all . The food itself was okay not great . I ordered the crispy taco plate no flavor really have to pour salsa all over just to give it some zest . The menudo was also very plain , the meat was cooked well but there was no hominy apparently you can ask for it ? But I think the waitress should have asked me because how was I supposed to know your menudo doesn't have hominy one of the basic ingredients ? Anyways definitely not the worst place in town but definitely not a place I would recommend for good Mexican food .

This taqueria never disappoints! We had several items from the menu. Taco de barbacoa, pozole, barbacoa plate, asada burrito, tacos a la yaka and everything was very well served and delicious! I have been to three datapoints in San Antonio and this is by far the best. Datapoint at De Zavala is overpriced and the portions are small served. Do not recommend location at De Zavala. So, if in San Antonio make the drive to this one exactly, so worth it! Mi lugar favorito para comida mexicana en San Antonio!

New menu item Quesa Birria - OMG these are the VERY BEST anywhere! Had these on their homemade corn tortillas! You will not be disappointed! Love Love Love!!! These are amazing!

Ummm, this is quite literally the best food I've had in a long time. It's been 24 hours since I ate there and I'm still thinking about it, and will probably continue to do so for the rest of my life. I would have never stopped here on my own- it's just not the kinda place I'm usually drawn to from the outside. However, my boyfriend used to eat here fluently, so steered us this way when my hungry ass was whining for melted cheese. Oh. My. God. Heaven DOES come on a plate. There are really no words to describe the food. Only a few photos and the lingering taste of enchiladas in my mouths memory. Go here. Go here now. Stop everything. And go here.

This place is absolutely incredible. I took a day trip from Austin to San Antonio last weekend just to pick up three orders of the barbacoa and tripas taco plates. The meat is the best and prices are unbeatable. Each plate comes with grilled onions, raw onions, cilantro, a wedge of avocado, and a wedge of lime. Each taco comes with two warm, homemade corn tortillas and a generous scoop of meat. It's satisfying for even the hungriest person and it'll leave you wanting more! Most of the diners here are locals, so you know it's good. Overall, this is a hole in the wall that I am willing to drive 4 hours to eat. Skip the fancy, overpriced restaurants at Pearl District and come here when you next visit San Antonio. Pro Tip: Because of COVID, we got our orders to go and drove 5 minutes to the nearby Woodlawn Lake Park, which has public bathrooms and ample picnic seating. It's very pretty and spacious.

Firstly the tacos are phenomenal. Had the barbacoa, pastor, chicken, carnitas and the potatoe and egg. All top tier. But the name?? Very sick, idk if datapoint means somethin n Spanish but sounds cyberpunk af and i dig it. Would give 17.5 stars if I could!

It's ok food is a bit overpriced Appreciated the drive thru when many other places were closed but next time you want some good late night nachos just take the few extra minutes and go to Chacho's much more food and taste for the money

AMAZING TACOS! Everything tastes so fresh. I got the 5 mini tacos with barbacoa and wow! The meat was so delicious; literally melts in your mouth. Coming here made me discover the joy of small tacos, the bite size of these makes them even more enjoyable. The mini tacos come with onions, avocado, and lime on the side. Amazing deal as well, price is so good for the quality and amount. If I'm ever in San Antonio, I will be sure to stop by :)

I've been eating at this location for years, and it has always been incredibly good, consistent and high-quality ingredients. I went there today and could immediately tell just by looking that something had changed. Nothing was the same. The beans looked like they came out of a can. The corn tortillas were nothing like they used to be. The rice looked like instant rice with canned peas thrown in it. We ordered chili Verde enchiladas. There was no chili Verde whatsoever very little cheese hardly melted, and the meat was so bad we had to throw it away. We couldn't eat it. for something to be so good for so long and be so drastically bad, some thing has changed.

Hands down one of the best Mexican Restaurants I've been to...Been a customer off & on for the past 12 years...Tortillas are fresh, chips & salsa are to die for, all plates have a-lot a food for a great price. Ambiance is great and service is excellent too. I Definitely recommend if your in the area of the Deco District give a try...

Drove almost 20 minutes to try this place out (the one close to me is shut down) I've always heard it was good and i had a really bad craving for some flautas and saw they had some so i went for it lol and sooo worth it the flautas were thick and crunchy the burrito was super good too definitely trying the street tacos next time (only the drive thru was open but it was pretty quick and super fresh)

This was a block away from the Airbnb my lover got for our anniversary so we gave it a try rather than drive somewhere. They served us the best tacos we have had in San Antonio. It was a Saturday night and really busy so it took the food longer than expected to arrive but it wasn't unreasonable. Our waitress didn't speak English and my Spanish is limited so there was some confusion when ordering. Don't be intimidated by that, if you are nearby- give it a try.

Absolute worst tacos I've ever had. Only reason I went is because the line was too long at the doughnut shop. Salsa is watered down. Egg was undercooked. I feel like I was robbed.

While normally like this place. I ordered guacamole because the picture looked like typical guacamole, but when I got home it's just a cup of Avocado with no chips. I was visiting from NY and really wanted good Mexican food. A fellow Yelper highly recommended this place and it absolutely did not disappoint. Firstly: I'm a pain in the tush when eating Mexican because I'm allergic to cilantro. The waitress and kitchen staff kindly left cilantro off the food for me. The place is really unassuming and cozy. There were soap operas in Spanish playing in the background. You get complimentary homemade chips and salsa. They have a HUGE selection of mini tacos. I wanted to taste a few, so I tried the barbacoa, carne asada & pollo. They're on these soft, warm corn tortillas. I could seriously eat those barbacoa tacos for the rest of my life. I didn't love the pollo. Then, I got the quesadilla. It was HUGE. You get so, so much food for like $8. I couldn't believe that I had so much food for $13. It was unbelievable and so, so yummy/authentic-- Exactly what I was hoping for! :)

I order barbacoa from here about twice a month on Sundays. We always phone in the order ahead of time and it is ready when we get there. I love their barbacoa. It is packed nicely and the price is very reasonable. The cheese enchiladas, quesadillas, and fideo are very good. I love this restaurant.

Tripa tacos and asada Tacos are bomb!! So is the lemonade !!!!im definitely coming back here even if it's a far drive.So worth it!
