RACIST! DO NOT SUPPORT!
So this happened to me at Taqueria Del Sol Decatur (359 W Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030) Saturday, August 10, 2019...yes 2019! Employee rudely and aggressively asks me (a black woman) to move from a 6-chair SHARED BAR TABLE to allow THREE women (white women) to sit. Me, "No." Typically when being asked a yes or no question my answer will be yes or no.
I had been sitting, chilling for about 10-15 minutes waiting for my TWO TACOS AND CHEESE DIP I was pretty sure would be ready soon so there was no need to be out of eyesight of the bartender who waited on me.
As I am taking inventory of the situation I noticed the THREE women had plenty room to enjoy the remains of the food they began to eat in another area of the restaurant but moved to the SHARED BAR TABLE. Very confused why I'm being asked to move so I decline and explain I'm only waiting for my TWO TACOS AND CHEESE DIP to go. Didn't see a big deal with sharing the table as I wait for my TWO TACOS AND CHEESE DIP and as the THREE women ate at the SHARED BAR TABLE.
"Oh you're not going to move?" the guy abrasively asks. Me, "No." Employee briskly walks with intentions to make me move and asks the bartender, who took my order, for my name, proceeds to the kitchen to cancel my order, and because I refused to move my order was canceled, money refunded, and I was asked to leave the restaurant.
I was called a bitch and told to shut up by these "model citizens" who drunkenly sat, enjoyed their food and margaritas, but I was asked to leave.
Neither the bartender who took my order and watched me have a seat at the SHARED BAR TABLE nor any other employee made an effort to direct me to sit elsewhere for to-go orders.
Taqueria del Sol...what's wrong with this picture? Why was I asked to move? Why was my food canceled and I was asked to leave? Why couldn't we all sit at a SHARED BAR TABLE? What era are we living in? I recall separate seating being abolished decades ago. Is this how you train your employees to treat black customers? Is this how you treat non-aggressive customers versus aggressive, rude, and inebriated customers?
So angry and disappointed! I truly wish I could have asked these questions but I was so blown by the way I was treated...I was at a lost for words and left the restaurant Traumatized! Saddened! Embarrassed! Bewildered! Feeling less than! Needed to escape! This experience left a stain and I need answers!

So I am using my power to spread the horrible reality of this restaurant and suggest other similar style restaurants.
