I recently visited Taqueria El Sabrosito after seeing its growing popularity on social media. The restaurant is located in a small plaza with limited parking, but street parking is available nearby. Upon arrival, I noticed a few people waiting for their orders, so I expected a bit of a wait.
I decided to try their Crunchy Tacos Al Pastor and a Soft Taco de Asada. As anticipated, I waited around 15 minutes to receive my order. Once I got my food, I sat down and tried the Asada Taco first. The taco was a standard size with plenty of flavorful meat, and the asada had a rich and delicious flavor that left me craving more.
Next, I tried their Crunchy Taco Al Pastor and immediately noticed how heavy it was. It was your standard crunchy taco size, but it was packed with meat! I had plenty of al pastor meat with every bite. The al pastor was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor, and the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and the added green sauce made it perfect.
Later that day, my wife was hungry after work, so I recommended Taqueria El Sabrosito. She ordered the three hard shell taco de asada with beans and rice combo to go, and the total was $17.10, including tip. Despite the 10-minute drive home, the tacos were still crunchy. Once again, the tacos were heavy and meaty, and the asada flavor was delightful.
In conclusion, this place lives up to the hype. If they can provide good quality food and service with just two tacos, I can only imagine what the rest of their food tastes like. Next time, I'll try their Super Burrito and Loaded Fries de Asada.
