AN ABSOLUTE MUST TRY. Hands down the best Mexican food in Portland Oregon. No over exaggeration. Pulling up there's parking right out front. It's a small, quiet warm little spot, open early in the morning. Walking in, you are greeted happily. The menu is big and legible with awesome photos and amazing weekly deals. My wife decided on the chilaques. Huevos con chorizo. My son got a breakfast burrito. And my daughter got the taquitos plate. Everything was absolutely wonderful, delicious and extremely tasty.I really could not say enough about how delicious this food was.I'm legit going home to take a nap.I am food coma toast. If you've never been to this place, it is a one hundred percent recommendation. You have to try it.

What a GREAT breakfast and real food option! They open at 7:00 AM. The Breakfast Burrito is two meals in one (Breakfast and 2nd Breakfast);) and Muy DELICIOSO! Also had 2 Carne Asada Tacos. I recommend you eat the tacos in house because the tortillas are made fresh to order, and if you wait to long to eat them, the filling might soften up the tortilla a bit much. (Use a fork or fingers if this happens) The young lady taking the order is friendly and informative on recommendations. 9.7 out of 10 for my experience this morning.

Google
I had the enchiladas. I liked that they let you get three different fillings for the three enchiladas. The red sauce was very tasty. The portions were generous. It appears to be a busy place but the food was ready fairly quickly. Everything was very tasty and the service was polite. The atmosphere was just busy with many people picking up to go orders so I took my order to go. For $15 I felt like it was a good deal and I plan to eat there again in the future.

Disappointing experience at a taqueria I’d been looking forward to for months. Ordered a michaelada for the wait, a taco, sopito and chile relleno to go. The group that was behind me all got their food delivered before I even got my drink. My food was sitting waiting in a bag on the counter before I got my drink. I paid $11 to enjoy a beverage while I waited for my food just to have my food come out cold and my order be wrong. The chile relleno? I should have taken a photo. No cheese or sauce. I asked for no rice or beans as I wanted the side relleno and not the combo and instead got the saddest most deflated thing I’ve ever seen. I don’t even think there was cheese inside. Was not worth the money despite the refund. It did get busy right after I came in, but that’s still no excuse for me being thirsty after spending $11 on a drink I didn’t get while letting my dinner get cold while delivering a 5top their food instead of doing literally anything involving my order. You should have asked if I wanted a refund on my drink before you brought it because I did. Drinking it just made me wish more badly she would have asked as it was the most sour michaelada I’d ever had and was not worth the money or the cold inaccurate order. Also, don’t tip before you receive food or service. Bring cash and tip depending on what’s deserved AFTER your meal because if I could go back in time I never would have tipped given the service and improper order. Asking clarifying questions would have been better than anything I received. The in house tortillas are worth the money though if you’re willing to spend it. Just woulda been cool if the employees cared enough about their customers and quality. Also all my to-go food was placed wrong in the containers so all the liquids drained out the steam release holes and made the bag a greasy disgusting mess since they decided the top portion of the clamshell container was best served as the bottom. 😬🙃

Google
admiring the bright colors. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. 2 kinds of red sauce...hot and hotter. Really hit the spot in the best ways possible. Great outdoor seating options too. Need to try more from the menu.

Google
LOVE! This restaurant has become a staple for our household since it opened. The best authentic Mexican I've had since moving from California. Everything is so tasty and the sauces YUM! (My favorite is the green sauce). I work late and everything is always closed by the time I'm home from work. Not any more! Flores saves me from having to eat frozen food at home at least 1x a week now. I'm so grateful they are open late. Everyone is very nice always. The shrimp and Chile relleno burritos are our go-tos but tonight I tried the shrimp fajita and oooo sooo good. The flour tortillas were literally made to order and so fresh. Love this place! :)

Guy behind the counter ignored me while looking directly at me. Never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant before. I left to go to the place down the street and am much happier

Google
By far the best Mexican food in PDX. Everything is seasoned to perfection, the meat taste fresh off the grill every time and the flavors all compliment each other.

Yelp
Would like some legit Mexican? Look no further! Very cute place colorfully decorated offering some outdoor seating as well. Parking has never been hard. The staff isn't the most cheerful, but I like it that way. Fast service. Good amount of options, but not overwhelming. Great food every time I go! Highly recommended

Yelp
Parking~It's a small parking 6 spaces but, it's in a residential neighborhood so there is street parking. Service~Our cashier was very nice. Our waitress brought our food out to us and, she continued to check on us. Every item is separate and, over priced (in my opinion) Our total was 50.00 dollars. Food~I had birra tacos 2 beef and 1 goat it was my first time having goat. I should've gotten all goat it was more tender and flavorful. The beef was really tender but, no flavor at all and the consommé was flavor less as well. My Husband and step daughter had a chicken torta and, it was delicious. My Husband and I actually switched meal neither one care for what we ordered. Ambience~It was very calm with music lightly playing and, it's small establishment but, it's enough seating! It was very clean in the restaurant but, it's worth giving it a try!

Yelp
Waited forever (20 minutes) for thre breakfast burritos (2 veggies, 1 bacon). There was a loud kids movie blaring the TV and an adult employee/owner/family member(?) was completely absorbed in it. Finally, got the food and the veggie burritos were dry and flavorless. I didn't eat the bacon one but it was absolutely packed with it, so probably much more flavorful and moistened by the bacon grease. My suggestions for the restaurant are: (1) if you are backed up on orders, let people know when they order so they have expectations well managed, (2) have your cooks scramble the eggs for burritos *before* frying them, (3) add extra cheese if there is no meat, because the cheese was incredibly minimal and could have made a big difference, and (4) for the love of god, find that dude another TV room or get him some headphones. I've had the tacos with homemade tortillas before and they are good. So in the future, only ordering tacos and only ordering through door dash.

Yelp
Quick service, wildly generous portions, good prices, and most importantly the food is bomb. Flores Torta was the messiest thing I've eaten in years, I think half of it fell down my shirt. I regret nothing.

Yelp
This neighborhood spot is super cute and the service was fast. We planned on getting tacos but seeing someone order the chimichanga changed our mind. The Al pastor was amazing and the tortilla was perfectly crisp. They also have a variety of great hot sauces. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Cute spot, good prices, delicious food. I got the nachos plus lettuce and sat out in the sun enjoying the patio.

Yelp
We've been here a couple times now since the ownership changed. Have no complaints whatsoever. The meals have been generous and delicious. The drinks are next level and great for the price. The woman at the front is friendly, kind, and has very good customer service skills. I'd highly recommend the steak fajitas, and anything with the freshly made corn tortillas. Will be going back on the regular!!

Yelp
New spot just opened where rose city used to be. It's awesome to have people back on this building who cares about its customers and I mean that by caring about the food they serve and how they handle the customers I'm happy good Mexican food is back in this building.

Yelp
I really want to like this place because the restaurant is so cute and the staff are always so nice. But the quality as well as the small portions of the food does not match their prices...

Yelp
Unexpectedly stopped at this local Taqueria. Ordered a selection of items including ceviche, nachos, and tacos. All food items were delicious. Staff even took our order just a few mins prior closing! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Would have been 4 stars but hate ordering from a menu on the wall, and busing my own dishes. That being said, the food was above average. Val's pork tamales were beautifully made and filled with lots of pulled pork. I had the chili relleno plate, beans and rice were great , the relleno was not even average. Just so/so. The pico de gallo on top was excellent. Service is fast with a lot of menu options, one might do better if one spoke Spanish ! Open 7:00am to 10:00 pm 7 days a week. Soooooo if your out in St. John's on Lombard give this place a try. We were on the #4 bus, which stops right across the street which also is the same bus that takes you to the sunken rose garden.

Yelp
All y'all being way too hard on this new joint. Prices went up because everything else's prices went up. Gas in the trucks that transport the food to their door for them to prepare FOR YOU, is astronomical. The price of chicken has jumped to an insane price, not just at your local market, but across the board. Be easy, give them some grace. This place is a bit more pricey than Rose City, but it's very likely that Rose City was no longer able to pay their bills and had to close. I loved the new offerings that this place is considering. Their service was great and their food was very tasty. Very happy to have them in St. John's. In fact I'll be eating their tonight!

Yelp
I ordered the ceviche tostada, and it was terrific. First, it was huge with lots of shrimp. It came on a very crisp tortilla and was accompanied by an additional separate two toasted tortillas, which was good because there were a lot of shrimp left by the time I finish the first Tortilla. All very fresh and tasty and a little bit spicy which I like. We do this again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
New owners - my first time in and the place was near capacity. Very good service, incredibly friendly, acknowledged us, was patient when my better half couldn't decide what she wanted and even offered something I didn't see on the menu. The wait for food was very reasonable, the portions are large, the lunch tasted amazing. Fresh, hand made tortillas - this was a wonderful lunch. Lots of people grabbing food to go and I hope these owners stay around because this place is a keeper!

Yelp
Horribly overpriced. $12.99 for two taquitos (a la carte, no sides) $8 for a plain bean and cheese burrito. Too much cheese in the burrito, but that's a personal preference. Tortillas are good and beans are good, that's not always easy to find.

Michelle A.

Yelp
the fresh tortillas are so bomb. carnitas are amazing. fish taco was the first thing i tried and it was so incredible. i brought my dad there (very picky eater) for the fish tacos and i think he actually shed a tear it was so good. the carne asada can be a little dry if you go at night (happened twice to me, i guess just get that for lunch instead.) salsas are fresh and good. the two women who are always working there are so nice and polite.

Yelp
I love having Mexican food nearby but I don't love paying $45 for Mexican food nearby. Especially for a "taqueria." Maybe it's because I grew up going to TJ and buying fish tacos for fifty cents and 4 churros for a dollar. Yes, I'm old but good lord what happened to Mexican food prices? It's wrong on so many levels. Yes, the food is a little better than Rose City but it would taste even better if the prices were lower. I understand inflation bla bla bla but come on. Two orders of fries & 2 burritos for $45?? I can't.

Yelp
Really good food, they just need to put up an "under new management" sign to decrease being mistake for the previous owners.

Rachel W.

Yelp
My favourite food place ever! Incredibly kind and friendly staff, fantastic food, cute dining area inside and outside to eat, even though it is typically at least half full. Their verde salsa is soo good just the right amount of spice for me. Everything i've ever tried on the menu was great. I recommend the birria quesadilla, great price for the portion. You better tip them!

Veronica V.

Yelp
Absolutely outstanding level food!!! Too many good things to say and it's impossible to list a favorite. Just check them out.

Yelp
Food was killer. Service was awesome as well. Best Mexican food I've had in St. John's in a long time. Menu has a lot of great and unique things to offer. Restaurant itself is clean and has an inviting vibe/ambiance. So stoked to see this Chef/owner take this restaurant back and gift the neighborhood with some dope authentic eats. Highly recommend the hand made tortillas for the tacos. And the tortas are HUGE. Come hungry. The horchata is super great as well. Not chalky like some others. Smooth and sweet, just perfect. My partner is vegetarian and has a very hard time finding good vegetarian burritos. She said this was one of the best vegetarian burritos she's had in a long time too. We will be eating here a lot in the future. 5/5

Yelp
Good to have the crew back. I appreciate everything they've been through and I am rooting for them to make it work for the long run. If that means a bump in prices to sustain everything that was wrong before, so be it. Fair is fair. The important thing is the food is great and we've missed going over there for the taste we crave. Daniel W had it spot on.

Areisy A.

Yelp
Their food is really good, especially their handmade tortillas. Their service is good really nice and etc.

Owen L.

Yelp
Absolutely insane house made tortillas, flavorful seafood - highly recommend. Corner of midway and Fessenden location. Get the house made tortillas

Elia L.

Yelp
First of all the food has no flavor what so ever, the food is overpriced, paying $3.75 for a taco that just tasted like grease is not worth the price.
