Taqueria Garibaldi

If you like Menudo, this place is fire. The tripe was nice and clean, a lot of carne. Some folks like hominy with their menudo. I don't mind either way, but I don't think this spot offers hominy in their menudo (someone post a picture if I'm wrong). My wife said the enchiladas were real good and my son's "kid's" plate had huge portions. Really good spot. The salsa bar is great, but I wish there were larger containers for the salsa and not so much plastic stuff.

The attention is really good, very professional and polite. The food is on your table very quickly hot and ready to eat. On Sundays the do have hand made Tortillas delicious, and the beans are the only beans my Irish wife really enjoys. Family friendly, we recommend this place for a real and authentic Mexican food.

Very basic Mexican food in a loud over crowded restaurant. Price was fair considering we ate Tacos only. Not Pictured Rice and Beans Beans were Burnt and I told the girl running food if she can give us more rice which she did. After questioning why I thought the beans were burnt. The lady in front only speaks Spanish so just a heads up on that.

Everytime I come here i get chiliquillas with red sauce and everytime i am happy with the food. This time i asked for extra potato because you otherwise get 4 peices but the food is on hit i highly recommend this location because it's full of big booty latinas to look at and if your a woman they got some decent men for you to look at. Im keep this my go to for chiliquillas because the red sauce ones have just enough spice and you get a fat side of crema plus beans with two eggs on top for $13.75 cant beat that afternoon breakfast. Look at the picture i was finally able to get one before mangling the dish a first here lol

It was lunchtime and it was very busy. Thought it might be a good sign, and it was. The food was great, and the service was very quick . We had nachos (pic included) soft tacos, hard shell tacos, and carnitas quesidilla (pic included), which was awesome! This is definitely on my favorites list.

Good food they were really busy and we still got out food fairly quickly. All the workers don't speak English very well, so it's definitely authentic, but there was a little bit of a language barrier... small hurdle

The food here was good and the service was alright. I wasn’t super impressed with anything. The salsa bar could use more sauces and definitely some labels. Try out the melon juice if you like cantaloupe! Seating inside and outside.

I’ve been in Sacramento two years and this is the only Mexican restaurant I go. The service is always great. The white sauce from the salsa bar is always great and my favorite and I love that every time I go it tastes different of when I get my favorite dishes.

Best quesabirria on the west coast, you don't need the sauce that comes with it. Nicest staff and vibrant environment.

The food here is very good!! The customer service and atmosphere are awesome. I ordered a Carne Asada Torta with everything in it.. Honestly, one of the best tortas I have ever eaten. Highly recommend eating here!!

I've been here twice now. It's definitely a favorite of mine. The first time I ordered the super quesadilla and the next time the giant quesadilla. The giant quesadilla is my favorite and will be my go to from now on. I got it with grilled chicken. It's so gooooood! The service is great. Everyone is super friendly and kind. There is a nice family vibe to the restaurant and I often come and eat here alone. Highly recommend!

I love Mexican food and I would defently come back. My first time here. Food was good. Pineapple agua fresca was soooo good. Anything u order here is on point. There's a lot of space for large groups and small groups. There's tvs behind the bar so it can get loud in there . The ambience is very social.

Every time we come to Sacramento we always come here for the camarones a la kora 1000x recommended. I wanted to try the shrimp tostada but was disappointed because it had no flavor whatsoever, no salsa no salt it just tastes like it came out of the water with no flavor. Was disappointed with it but glad we had another plate and good thing I only ordered 1 tostada. Next time I will try something else but other than that the camarones a la kora has a good spicy kick with some lemon flavor

Pastor is more like pork jerky. I couldn't eat my burrito... Definitely will not eat here again.

I hate to give a bad review, but I wonder if this place has changed ownership or something. I've been going here for years when I need a super burrito fix. They were really good. I'd usually get a Super Carnitas Burrito with everything on it and they were delicious. Really hit the spot. But they aren't anymore. The burrito was extremely greasy. Dripping in grease. It was mostly meat. Next ingredient was rice. Very little pico de gallo, and I don't think there was any sour cream or guacamole. Not even much cheese. I will be looking for a new burrito place. Sorry Garibaldi's. It was about the worst burrito I've ever had. What happened???

This used to be my place since around 2010. It's pretty solid average for me. I haven't been there for a few years. During Covid times maybe even a little before that, their burritos became scrawny little things. Plus My daughter munched into a big bone in her burrito back then; picture down below. Anyway, I have finally forgiven them and returned today. Their carnitas is still really good along with their good salsas and kinda spicy white sauce. The burrito today was still kinda short, but fairly hefty in weight and roughly 50% meat. I enjoyed it no doubt. Oh, the burritos have shrunk a little over time, But the prices haven't changed. $8.99 for a regular, 10.49 for a super. I'm down with that concept.

Amazing food, great service and very fast! First time here I got asada fries as well as taco birria delicious. They also have outside seating as well as a nice bar or just want to grab a drink.

Food is exceptionally great but can you get someone who speaks some damn English over the phone so we can order out take out orders properly?! My GOD! They will literally just hang up in your face. Please get someone to speak English....

I had the crunchy taco. It hit the spot. It didn't arrive as expected. The leave and guacamole were on top. It was a bit difficult to get them inside and left the taco feeling gooey. All in all I recommend this taco place. The food is good and good service.

So Hubby recommended this spot for the refreshing carrot drink. I ordered the green drink- spinach celery pineapple and apple and tried his carrot drink. Both were refreshing and to my surprise the carrot drink was a delight. He wanted to try their food so we ordered food to dine in. I ordered grilled chicken nachos. Chicken was in huge chunks and was tender and season was mediocre, pico de gallo was not fresh and may have been out of a can, little guacamole and some white crème with cheese. Overall not impressed. He ordered a super burrito and said it was "soggy" and "chicken seasoned and the flavor was okay but very watery " We'll be back for freshly made drinks only.

I realized I don't have a hi-to Taqueria in the Arden area so I had to try this place out. I just got three tacos to-go to see how I liked it and the Carnitas and adobada were fire. Chile Verde is usually one of my favorite meats, but this one was a little bit sour, but still good. I'll come back and try some more dishes, especially that adobada. The hot salsa was really good and gave my mouth a nice burn. Food came out really fast and the service was cool for my quick visit. Lots of gente in there which is usually a good sign. Tons of seating. They had TV on with the sound so it might be cool to catch a Kings game or something in there. No pics because I scarfed it!

Came here because I was craving Mexican food. I ordered their street tacos with Al pastor. It was excellent when you pair with some of their avocado salsa with a squeeze of lime. Definitely hit the spot. They had a self serve chips and salsa station. Always a plus. The service was expedient. Walk in order and they bring out your orders within a few minutes.

Even among local options, this Mexican restaurant falls short. The tortillas lack authenticity and the grilled chicken oddly resembles fried chicken in taste and texture. Given the overall quality, it's not on par with other places in the area, let alone San Diego's offerings. Unlikely to return.

I eat lunch here a couple times a week. Always fresh, super fast and good customer service. Salsa bar is top notch as well

Door dashed this food. Let me start off with this: Here in Sacramento, it's hard to find good Mexican food. I was craving Mexican food and was willing to try another spot. I must say, this is the best chile relleno I have ever tasted. The SAUCE is amazing; it tastes like something familiar, but I wasn't able to put my finger on it. Please get this food! My plate will speak for itself.

I used to really like this place because of their big menu and fast service, but after my most recent visit a couple months ago, I don't see myself coming back. I ordered a kids bean and cheese burrito as well as a shredded chicken quesadilla to-go. The beans in the burrito were mixed with some type of spicy cheese sauce, but I didn't think it paired well in terms of taste. The cheese in my quesadilla seemed like it was cooked too long so it had that brown crust on it and it ruined the whole taste of my quesadilla.

Garibaldi on Howe is my favorite carne asada taco place. A couple of tacos, some chips, great salsa and a Modelo make my day. Good service. Friendly staff.

Great food and service. We had the crunchy tacos, ceviche tostadas and a michelada. All tasteful! They also had the football game on so that was a plus.

Ordered a chicken and Shrimp burrito and only got two shrimps. I'll never eat there again!!! I really want my money back..........

Have you heard the saying "if it's too loud, you're too old?" I'm definitely too old for this place. It has tile floors and uncovered windows so there is nothing to absorb sound, the music was really LOUD, which made people talk loud and the chairs were loud when people moved them to sit or stand. The cashier couldn't hear me when I ordered and I couldn't get the bartender's attention when I was ready to leave (and it wasn't crowded). When I entered I thought I'd stay and have a beer but by the time I was done with my dinner I had a headache. I walked away from a half-full glass. And speaking of dinner, they have a varied menu so there's something for everyone. And the food was fine, but they only gave me a plastic fork for a dine-in order of flautas- I almost broke it when I tried to carve off a bite.l, ended up picking up the entire flauta and biting off a chunk. No bueno. But I cleaned my plate!

I'm so disappointed. I was really craving a vegetarian burrito with lite sour cream and no lettuce. My husband ordered to go and just brought the food home. My burrito was super cold to the touch. We don't live far from the restaurant, but I'm cool with needing to pop it in the microwave for a minute. I go to cut the burrito in half and it leaks a ton of water. It was packed with tons of lettuce and salsa. There were maybe 10 pinto beans and 1/4 cup of rice. Come on! The whole thing was a soupy mess and almost inedible. They also forgot the tortillas for my husbands order. I was really hoping that we'd like this place. We won't be coming back.

Some days are more blessed than others! (; The employees sure deserve better than they're getting, though. And, I can say that, all snark aside, visiting Sacramento as I am!

1st time here.... Placed an online order ready for pickup between 1205 1215, showed up around 12 excepting to be a little early for my order and not ready yet, that's fine. 1230 rolls around, then the lady serving up food for the first time asks for my name, I say my name, she looks in the kitchen and she finds the ticket for my order hidden somewhere , and they begin to make it. When she brings the food to around 1235 to me I ask, "did they just now start making this?" She says yeah they forgot because the order was placed over an hour ago. So what???? It's a common thing for people to order ahead of time, you gotta now how to handle orders in advance! And what kind of answer is "they forgot?" How about sorry for the wait sir or something! At least when I asked for a drink or something for waiting (she didn't offer I had to ask) , she gave it no problem. So 1 star for that I guess. The food is passable, burrito is nothing special. It's unfortunate because this place is walking distance where I work, so I would be able to come here during lunch, but I will not be coming back here

"Jumbo Burrito" did not come with beans, salsa or sour cream only rice, lettuce, tomatoes & my choice of meat. Very underwhelming and actually disappointing considering they were very busy when I arrived to get my food. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing and other items are better but I'm hesitant to give them another chance. Also like to mention for $12.34 this jumbo burrito is very small, more of a regular size.

We ordered our food to go Saturday night and we were very disappointed when we got home! We ordered the soft tacos, carnitas super burrito, cheese quesadilla and kids bean burrito. The soft tacos were just mush under a mountain of lettuce (see photo) and they didn't even hold together, the carnitas burrito was mushy as well and the carnitas did not taste or look like the carnitas you would expect. The bean burrito and quesadilla were good - it's not very hard to screw either of those up though. I had high hopes for this place since it has decent reviews on here, but I definitely do not see how they do. Maybe they weren't on their A game because it was a to go order, but either way, what a let down!

Closed by the health department on 2/7 for roaches. Reinspected and allowed to open on 2/8 even though they had live roaches. 2/22 another inspection with roaches. It's been a good 10 year run coming here but I'm officially done when I see roaches.

My Fiancé and I had been going to eat there since we started dating and it was always a 5/5. However in our recent trips the quality of the food was a hit or miss. After our visit today we are both done with this place. I ordered asada nachos and tell me why there was a big piece of onion in them? I wish I would of taken a picture. The asada did not taste like asada. Then my Fiancé had his two carnitas tacos, but could not even finish one bite of his quesadilla. We both left feeling like we were going to puke.

Amazing tacos and food! Love all the salsa options. They have my favorite white salsa! Even have fresh veggie and fruit juice! So yummy.

Food flavors were absolutely delicious. Will stop here again. I had beef quesadilla with cheese. Usually they're on a large tortilla and folded in half this was a little unusual that it was on two smaller tortillas stacked but absolutely delicious. My sister had the nacho plate and it was also delicious. Service is quick place is clean, plenty of parking, it's a good place to stop!!!

Ordered super nachos. Meat was very salty and there was barely any meat at all. Asked for refried beans to be added, barely added any beans and charged me an extra $1.50. Most restaurants include beans on their nachos. Will not be eating here again. Greedy and selfish with their product and prices. I've had better nachos at a lot of places, this was poorly done. Super nachos ordenados. La carne estaba muy salada y apenas había carne. Cuando pedí que se agregaran frijoles refritos, apenas agregué frijoles y me cobraron $ 1.50 extra. No volveré a comer aquí. Codiciosos y egoístas con sus productos y precios. He comido mejores nachos en muchos lugares, esto estaba mal hecho.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had, how do you mess up refried beans? As you can see in the picture they gave an excessive amount of sour cream like it was a side, stale chips, refried beans were orange and gross, eggs were not scrambled as asked, wasted our money going there, breakfast burrito had no eggs in it, half ass cooking with shit just thrown on a plate, salsas are like water with no flavor, these people do not know how to cook Mexican food

Come here for the seafood items and super bomb help yourself salsa bar ! Their shrimp toastsda is the best I've had. I have yet to try their ceviche and shrimp cocktail, which looks delicious and is massive in size. The comprehensive salsa bar is always super fresh and well stocked. I love their sour cream salsa and the cactus salad. Chips are always crispy and abundant. This is a casual order at the bar, get a number, and serve yourself soda type of place. They have inside and outside seating . The outside seating is next to the unpleasant parking lot, and tables aren't particularly clean , but if you ask they will clean table tops. They have great hours and fresh food. I love it.

Came again but this time dined in. On a Friday night it's not too busy but there is people here. Ordered a tostada & tacos. Not bad. Wasn't expecting it to be the best. The fresh fruit juice is good. Not bad service.

Was in the area during the holidays and not much was open. Found this spot because of all of the cars in the parking lot so looked like the place to be. Food took a while to take to-go but was overall very happy with quality, taste and price. Ordered a variety of things but I had the cheese enchiladas and they were delicious! Enough food to feel full but not over the top full or greasy. Would recommend and go again.

Based on prior experience at Taqueria Girabaldi, 4-5 stars. Based on my experience May 2nd, 2 stars. This is during covid19 so many are not on their A-game, so I'll be a little forgiving. But you push back on me and tell me I did not give you the amount of money that I gave you *and* your establishment serves me a cold burrito that is supposed to be hot? After tonight, I'll probably continue to go the extra distance to my favorite Mexican restaurant 9 times out of 10. Most of the time this place is good, and sometimes it's very good. But that just didn't bode well with me.

Great tacos for the price if your looking for simple street tacos. The nachos were not great I wouldn't get those again but I would get the tacos. If it wasn't for bad nachos I would have given them a 4 star

Their super Burrito is a bomb, so far the best I've ever had. The portion was hearty and tasted excellent! I got the chicken quesadilla which was something that I couldn't get over. Overall excellent food and service. Definitely recommend this restaurant to all Mexican food lover.
