Great for large portions in burrito and plate form!
Came here for a Sunday dinner with the family because my dad used to come here for lunch when he used to work in the area. And boy did our family have a feast!
Outside parking is mostly residential in this area of SSF close to Grand Ave. While we came at around 7pm on Sunday to a short crowd, I've heard it gets packed with only one person taking orders especially during peak lunch hours.
They have ample seating as well as an extra salsa bar on the top floor. However, they don't really clean up quickly up there when staff is busy working the kitchen and taking orders. Not really a problem unless it's crazy busy.
The chips here are thicker relative to other places. While they are much easier to scoop fresh tomato salsa with relative to flimsier ones, it is definitely harder to big and requires more chewing power (I low key get lazy to chew).
I got the Al Pastor Regular Burrito, which was pretty large and packed with meat for only $6.75. I like how it is moreso long than wide, as it makes it easier to eat and not fall apart into pieces. The al pastor was flavorful chopped red meat, seasoned and delicious. My only paranoia comes from how red and clingy the oil and sauce is to the meat, but it is delicious. The carnitas here are also very good. They are fried, textured, and salty pork that I would totally get again next time. I probably liked this meat more than the al pastor, to be honest.
I also tried the fish ceviche tostada which was super yummy! It was fresh with cilantro, lemon, and tomato. It had a great mild heat, but definitely be aware of slices of jalepenos around--my tongue was crying and I engulfed my throat in horchata....then kept eating.
Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars for large portions and the price. I think there may be better places on Grand Ave., but they are also more pricey.
