Google
I never come to St. Paul really but had to get some authentic tacos out here.. tortillas could be better but still hits the spot.

Google
I’ve been going here for years. Food is delicious and consistent. My favorite place to get a barbacoa burrito. Other items are delicious too. Great price and I love that their burritos are just the right size. Not too big or too small.

Google
Incredible. Fresh, fast, and fun night out catching up with a friend. We each got a few tacos and chips/guac to share and a few Modelos. I WILL be back. Don't overlook this delightful East Side staple!

Google
If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further! The food is so flavorful and fresh, and the prices are super reasonable too. I love to get their quesadilla platter which comes with your choice of meat on your quesadilla with a side of rice and beans. They usually give you a couple different kinds of hot sauce which are super good!

Google
This place can get pretty busy. Made a phone order and they forgot a burrito when I got home, but staff were nice enough to give me a refund. Got the tacos al pastor and birria with consome were decent, filled with lots of meat. Their torta was delicious! Bread was nice and toasty, and really loved the avocado. Make sure to ask for more salsa, I definitely didn’t get enough. Nachos were different, but still good. I’d go again for something quick.

Google
Good tacos, quick service. Will be back!

Google
Food is amazing. If you happen to be in town, I highly recommend this place. Pretty cheap and also super tasty. The staff is also very very kind and waiting is not long at all. I went around 7:30pm and the food is as fresh as ever. The tacos were packed with flavor, the tortas were excellent and have a wonderful aftertaste. The nachos had an amazing kick. The building is small but dont underestimate what it has to deliver!

Google

Yelp
I was SOOOO impressed here! Such great value for such a great price. Also just loved to see the multicultural vibe, every one from every background was in the room enjoying the food! We love to see it

Yelp
Quick service. Food was delicious, and every bite was juicy, this is my go to taco spot and I believe it should be everyone's as well. Though parking is very small, I'd still get some grab and go to grub at home red and green salsa is great as well!
google avatar

Sumaya S.

Yelp
An amazing neighborhood taco shop! Delicious quesa birria tacos and the quesadillas are amazing as well!! The carne asada is juicy and well seasoned and my favorite is the Lengua (beef tongue) their green salsa is more mild but delicious in flavor and super limey. Parking is a bit tricky kind of shaped like a triangle but aside from that I'd definitely recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Best authentic tacos in the Twin Cities! The building is dated, cold and not in a great area of the east side, but it's well worth bundling up for! Customer service is always on par, too! My daughter has tried other things on the menu and is always pleased. I can't NOT get tacos, but maybe I'll mix it up next time.
google avatar

Raymo L.

Yelp
Went for a burrito, worst one I ever had in life. Who puts lettuce in a burrito? Honestly I'm not trying to bash this place but my god, it was the saddest burrito I've ever had. Maybe I might be a burrito snob from California but to even think you could sell this to people is a absolute shame.

Yelp
Fantastic pastor tacos. Quaint, vibrant, quick service, reasonably priced. My new favorite lunch spot.

Soni L.

Yelp
I LOVE this place!!! Discovered by accident, now I make special trips there. Definitely will keep going

Phyllis L.

Yelp
We stopped for a quick bite to take out . We both had the 2 taco combo for lunch. It was delicious, the picture shows one taco I had already eaten the first one. We have had tacos in Mexico and theses are very similar. Ours were pulled pork! Not exactly fine dining but very good home cooked food. We will be back!

Yelp
Take accountability for your mistakes! Its not the customer fault! Dont play crazy and act like you don't remember my order and I literally just paid and left 10 min ago.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
I used to enjoy this place often when I had to go over to these parts for work. It's a solid place. Convenient location, good food, pleasant seating, nice people. But the parking can be a bit difficult as it sits on a weird piece of land. Chicken fajitas are good.

Yelp
YUM! Another East Side treasure. No frills and few thrills here. They are efficient and have a loyal community that they serve. We ordered Mulitas and ate in. They were DELICIOUS!! Felt a little pricey for 2, but they came out so fast we didn't mind. The staff are pretty busy and aren't quick to wipe down tables, but sometimes that's part of the charm ;)
google avatar

Tracey F.

Yelp
This place is zero frills, but awesome. I first came here over a decade ago when I worked in the area and the first impression is sketchy. Get past that impression and you're in for some good, low-key Mexican food. I go pretty standard and get chicken tacos with rice, which are just fine by me. They are street taco size with cilantro and onion. Fight every urge you have to get them "gringo style" (cheese, tomatoes, sour cream) because the cilantro and onion bring out the flavor of whatever they marinate the meat in so well; the other stuff hides the awesome flavor. Of they have the stuffed poblano pepper on the special menu, do yourself a favor and get it.

Steve S.

Yelp
Pozole was garbage. Expect to pay extra for a cup of water. Cubed pieces of pork with fucking iceberg lettuce as a garnish.
google avatar

D R.

Yelp
Tacos were subpar. The asada or "steak" was very bland. Pastor was ok. Tacos were a good portion for the price but not much else to say about it. Salsa also lacked flavor and had no kick to it.
google avatar

Felix Z.

Yelp
They have a good truck that comes out to Regions on Tuesday and Thursday. They have excellent and consistent food. Would highly recommend the Mulitas with the Birria. The staff is wonderful and always a treat to talk to.
google avatar

Maddy H.

Yelp
my go-to for tacos, moleda, and burritos always. friendly staff, clean environment, and lots of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
google avatar

Carlos P.

Yelp
Time for an update after eating from here 5 times. The carne asada burrito is inconsistent. You'll either get actual carne asada or what looks like mush/shredded meat. I'm not sure why this is. The tacos. They are the star here. Definitively more consistent. The salsa. This is one I just learned yesterday. You get only 1 tiny salsa thing for each item. It works ok for the tacos because they are small, but for the burritos, it's honesty not enough. If you want more than one salsa for your item, you pay extra. Ive been to probably 50 different taco shops in my lifetime, this is the first time I've heard of this.
google avatar

Jan L.

Yelp
Quick and good. Tastes like I went for a quick trip to Mexico. Tacos, Tortas, Tamale's, Soup and my favorite Mullahs w broth. Yum.

Nina P.

Yelp
We discovered these guys through their taco truck at the farmer's market in Hudson (Carmichael Rd) on Saturday mornings. All we needed to see on the menu was birria tacos (mulitas) and we were hooked, this became our every Saturday morning ritual. I'm from Texas and hadn't had food that felt like home since moving to the Midwest about 4 years ago. SO, so, so good, and Oscar's friendly face and good natured conversation were always lovely as well. After a whole summer of food trucking it we finally made the journey to the brick and mortar in St Paul when the farmer's market closed for the fall. I sprang for the Hawaiian torta and let me tell you, I did not eat another meal that day. No regrets, it was amazing. Just go.

Yelp
Super affordable hole-in-the-wall taqueria. I got three tacos -tripe, cabeza, and carne asada- and my wife got al pastor. The cabeza and al pastor were our favorites with their deep flavors. They had classic green (med) and red (spicy) salsas that came with our order. Overall a great place to grab a few quick tacos.
google avatar

Yelp
Have been visited this place 10+ times. Best taco in Minnesota! Pork stomach is my favorite, and the beef vegetable soup, very tasty! highly recommended!

Yelp
I was in search of authentic Mexico tacos when I found Taqueria Los Paisanos and based on the reviews I saw online, I didn't think it would disappoint. Overall, it was a good experience. I have since found a better place for authentic Mexican tacos, but when I went there, the tacos I had satisfied my cravings. I got the carnitas, steak, and beef tongue tacos. They all came with chopped cilantro and onions as well as limes. I really liked the carnitas and the steak tacos, but the beef tongue tacos could've tasted better. There was something about the seasoning that did not sit right with me. The service was slower than I expected it to be even though there were not many customers in at the time. The staff member who took my order and gave me my order was friendly, but I had hoped the service itself would be faster. The ambiance is a little odd. I couldn't pinpoint the look/atmosphere they were going for with the interior, but there were people who chose to eat in. I took my order to go, and scarfed down my tacos. A note I'd like to make is the parking lot WILL NOT be easy to get in/out of. I had to make a couple loops around the block before I could figure out a way to safely enter the lot. Once I entered, the lot was so cramped that I had to wait for cars to back in/out in order for me to secure a spot. The lot itself is an odd shape and doesn't allow for very much space, so be careful when choosing to visit this place.

Yelp
These are best tacos. And the price is unbeatable. 1.89 for a taco double wrapped with cilantro and onions. I've only have had the tacos. All sorts of good meats to pick from. The green salsa is my favorite. The line moves quick so if it seems long it'll be quick. I ordered takeout through Yelp and it wasn't that much quicker than waiting in line.

Yelp
Taqueria Los Paisanos has had a few coats of paint applied and other small upgrades over the years, but one thing has remained consistent - solid, affordable Mexican food with friendly service. While there isn't a shortage of taquerias and other Latin cuisine within a few blocks of this intersection of E 7th and Arcade., the affordable tacos, and more notably, the tortas, are the reason I'll keep coming back. Oh, and the fact that I can wash either or all down with a Modelo doesn't hurt either. The location itself isn't anything worth writing home about, but the inside is clean and has recently been gussied up a bit (relatively speaking), so it's certainly not just a takeout joint (though it's by no means fine dining either).
google avatar

Ruth M.

Yelp
Very tasty and reasonably priced! We came here for a quick lunch after spending the morning in St Paul. Literally googled Mexican food near me and Taqueria Los Paisanos came up. My toddler son had the chicken quesadilla and almost ate the entire thing, and he's usually a picky eater! Delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. Must must try the verde sauce for dipping everything into! So tasty. I will be recommending this place to anyone who visits the area.
google avatar

Madison H.

Yelp
This spot is a true gem in St. Paul. Their food is authentic and affordable without unnecessary frills. Just perfect, delicious Mexican food. We got the tacos, tamales, rice, and beans and it was incredible! We highly recommend!
google avatar

Johnny N.

Yelp
You know what I love about the West Coast? Mexican restaurants give you bottles of salsa with your meal. I love salsa. No, really, I Iove it so much and I know this may sound gross but I can drink it like water. If you've ever eaten at Alertos, in Fountain Valley, CA, you know what I'm talking about! I like this place because when you dine-in they give you two bottles of salsa in condiment bottles, chile de arbol(I think... red sauce!) and verde, just like SoCal. I only come here for tacos and the fact that I don't have to ask for extra salsa. The location is close to my parent's house and the tacos have a good amount of meat for the price. They are pretty quick to get your order ready. They accept credit cards and parking is a breeze since they have their own lot. There are at least 2 televisions inside and they serve beer in bottles/cans.
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Awesome awesome awesome! Son and I stopped in late Saturday night and grabbed 6 Carne Asada tacos and 2 tamales - damn good grub!

Chris D.

Yelp
My partner and I consider this our comfort food go-to restaurant. They use fresh ingredients to create zesty dishes. I always go with the tacos. I've had each one on the menu. Three is enough for one meal for me. My tummy doesn't like wheat, so I haven't tried the burritos, but if the tacos are any indication they're surely just as good.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
Delicious!! We went to the food truck outside the new soccer stadium and man we are glad we did. The toastada with chicken was delicious and the al pastor burrito was even better. For about half the price of the overpriced concessions we had a delicious meal outside. The staff was super friendly and very fast I'd highly recommend.
google avatar

Ratt B.

Yelp
Very authentic. Comes with fresh limes and salsas. The tortillas were fairly fresh and delicious. They don't even mind gringos :-)
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Very friendly service. The ladies in the kitchen were very nice and one spoke perfect English which was convenient. Tacos were priced below the average 2.50 a taco for only 1.89!!! Steal of a deal. Tacos were authentic and delicious. All around great experience. Best tacos I've tried so far in St Paul and the service was great. I'll be back for this amazing deal or quality tacos. Tango al pastor, carne asada, y carnitas. 8.8/10
google avatar

Kathey M.

Yelp
Nice people, great service and some pretty good authentic Mexican fare. I always judge a place by its chile rellenos. Overall good flavor, but I prefer a sweeter sauce and a thicker batter. My fiancé Ordered the carnitas burrito. Overall, he liked it however, the meat was a bit dry and there was a ton of lettuce. A ton of lettuce. As far as atmosphere, it's spotless. We will definitely be back because of the great customer service. We're willing to give It another try.

Yelp
I can't call myself a taco connoisseur but I do know delicious when it hits my mouth and every bite of taco at Los Paisanos has been worth savoring. A lot of mexican places I go to are too bland for my tastes but they know how to smack some flavor into their meats here. I'm just starting to adventure into trying more exotic meats and this was the first time I tried my top two below. Cabeza (beef head) - probably my favorite, not chewy like I expected, tender, salty and spicy, worth trying I swear. Lengua (Beef tounge) - also amazing and I was even more surprised at how tender they made tongue, really, really good. Al Pastor (pork) - Really smoky/earthy chili spice that I can't get enough of. Usually always order at least one of these guys. Carnitas (pork) - Really moist and savory, perfectly roasted. I still have to try the Tripa (tripe) and the chorizo. They also have carne asada but I prefer the other meats to that one. You really can't go wrong with any of them though. The place is clean and the people are friendly the only downside is it's locale. The last time I went here to introduce the place to my wife some cracked out lady nearly threw herself onto our car all zombie like(We've been watching the walking dead lately). It freaked my wife out enough to where she ordered I squeal out of the parking lot but no zombie lady will keep me away from these tasty tacos. I will be back, baseball bat in hand.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! Came at 7 on a Saturday night. Price is perfect for a really nice sized portion. Unlike many Mexican places, they don't give you a ton of food and end up wasting it. It was the perfect amount. Had the al pastor torta. Yum Jose behind the counter was also helpful. An extra tip in his tip bucket tonight. Will definitely be back
google avatar

Semi R.

Yelp
The place looked like the food was going to be very authentic unfortunately it wasn't. The flavor wasn't authentic and the food didn't taste fresh. The service was good but I won't go back to the place.

Yelp
I recently moved back to Minnesota from the Bay Area. I lived a couple miles from "Little Michoacán" in Redwood City and I really miss the great tacos and sopes there. Based on Yelp reviews, I visited Taqueria Los Paisanos today. It's the closest I've had to RWC tacos. In my experience, the best tacos are found at little places where you order at the counter, not at sit-down restaurants where the tacos come on a combo plate with rice and beans. I ordered 2 tacos, Al Pastor and Pollo, $1.75 apiece. Each taco consisted of two small soft corn tortillas, seasoned meat, chopped onion and cilantro. I was disappointed that sopes were not on the menu, but I spied the cook making one and asked. They're $2.50 apiece, about 4-5" in diameter, with beans, lettuce, meat, cheese, onion, and cilantro. Filling and delicious! The place was pretty busy when we arrived, and it took awhile for our order to be ready. But it was super-fresh and hot. The woman who took our order opened an avocado and mashed it on the spot to make us a side order of guacamole. Yum! The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the salsas--one red and one green--could have been better. They weren't that spicy or flavorful.
google avatar

Teara F.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite place to grab tacos. It looks a little sketchy, and the small parking lot is very awkward, but don't let any of that distract you from the deliciousness on the menu.

c y.

Yelp
Good food, ok service. Good place to grab a quick bite. Online ordering not so intuitive.
google avatar

Gregory H.

Yelp
My family and I eat here often. Thought it was time for a review. The food every time we order take out has been pretty good. Meat is always tender and flavorful. Tacos are delicious. The cubana sandwich is amazing. Everything with the red and green sauces are very good. I would say very good authentic Mexican food close by on the east side if you don't wanna travel far. Service is fast. Price of food is affordable.

Huawa X.

Yelp
I've only had tacos here and tonight was my second time. I would definitely recommend lengua (beef tongue) and tripas (beef tripe). They have two salsa, 1 mild, and 1 hot. Both taste great and goes well with the tacos. There is a $5 minimum charge if you're using card-pretty standard. Not much else I can say, but I will be back for more tacos and maybe one day I'll try the other menu items.
google avatar

Rachell S.

Yelp
Carnitas and nachos are delicious. Staff is pretty friendly. Parking and seating limited.
google avatar

Yelp
genuinely beautiful ambiance. This place is the real deal I tell you what! Everything is wonderful and very authentic. Would recommend it to friends, family, co workers, a passing stranger, really anyone. I truly adore it.
google avatar

Yelp
I just moved to the area & I'm glad I already found my favourite neighborhood taco joint. The cabeza & tripe tacos are my jam. The home made salsas are wicked. About to try the tamales.

Yelp
This review is for the Taqueria Los Paisanos food truck, where I had the pleasure of meeting Oscar (the owner) as his truck was in Stillwater today. As it turns out, just earlier I had stopped at a Mexican take-out place with my wife. We brought our food to a nearby park to eat, where coincidentally Taqueria Los Paisanos food truck was parked. A good part of the food we ordered was of poor quality and got thrown away. Since I was still in the mood for Mexican and still hungry, I went up to Oscar's truck. He had seen us eating and so was curious as to why I was there. I told him that the food he saw us trying to eat was not of very high quality. He said he felt badd for us and offered a free meal(!!!). I turned him down on that generous offer (he had no connection to the other restaurant) but instead bought some tacos off the menu. They were terrific! Oscar made my day in many ways with his personality, empathy, generosity, and high quality food!
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Looking at the menu, awesome, they have beef head, lengua, and Caldo de Res! Not many cook the Caldo de Res. Excellent green sauce! We had a Carne asada burrito which was good and fresh but a little flavorless. Chorizo nachos were ok, fake nacho cheese. Carnitas taco was good! Tamale was good and so was Carne asada taco. Interesting and diverse clientele. No chips and salsa to order.

Amanda K.

Yelp
This place is really nothing special. I only give two stars due to the good amount of meat on my platter and the fact that I was full after eating. Veggies were alright. With that said, it was not amazing. The price seemed high for the quality of food that I was served. Service was lacking extremely.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
This place was so good! Flavors were just as they should be, and very reasonably priced. We have had such a hard time finding a good authentic taqueria in the twin cities and this one does it! And they serve beer so thats a plus.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
This was my first experience here! Great food, timely service, unbeatable price! Definitely will be back!
google avatar

Stacia C.

Yelp
Legit the best tasting chicken tacos I've had in forever, definitely will go again and again without hesitation.
