Let's start with the basics; The restaurant is clean, bright, and has plenty of easy access parking on both sides of Culver, as well as the huge adjacent lot off Atlantic.
Now for the food...I have only tried the loaded chips, what others would call nachos. All the ingredients were fresh, well balanced and tasted great, without being too salty! The chips are house made, fresh, and crunchy. There is a complimentary self serve salsa bar with numerous types of salsa, pickled jalapeños, chopped onions, limes, and more. Everything on the bar was full, fresh, and kept spotlessly clean. I suggest ordering a side of the excellent house made chips to go with whatever salsas you choose.
I will certainly be returning to Taqueria Monterrey, and I look forward to working my way through the rest of the menu!
