STOP !!!! {Important review.} If you are looking for high quality authentic mexican food this is NOT the place. Hey everyone it Food Guy checking out food here and there. As you all know I always try to find a positive when I give a review. It's going to be very difficult to find anything positive about this place. First off, there online advertised menu is nothing like what they charge. When we asked about the menu prices and why there are no listed prices on the reader board inside the restaurant we were told they don't list there prices because the cost is constantly changing. To me that would indicate that they are not being upfront with the customer regarding there product. After we ordered our food we found out that the items we ordered are way overpriced. There is no way that a simple burrito and some very plain fajitas should have cost $50.00. Then on top of the basic order there is a upcharge for sour cream, guacamole, etc... When the food was delivered to the table I asked to speak with the manager on duty. Guess what,.? "No manager to talk to" That's another red flag on being transparent with the customer. I have done a lot of food reviews and I can clearly tell you that this food has the same taste and consistency as something that come out of a can from the grocer store on the corner. The green chili was runny and tasted very bland. It's not fresh homemade. The steak was chewy and not seasoned correctly. I could go on, but why beat a dead horse, I think you get my point. I did speak to some other customers and they did say it was overpriced, and most people that I spoke with basically said that they only order the same thing because of the price and trust of the food items. That's another red flag. If the local customers are not willing to try something different that's says a lot. As I said before, I always try to find something positive. So with that being said, the dinner area and bathrooms were clean. And the sever was nice to us. So in conclusion, you as the customer need to make up your own mind regarding this restaurant. But it should be with great caution before you do. Service 1.5 ⭐ Location 1.5 ⭐ Atmosphere 0.5 ⭐ Food -1 ⭐ Price -2 ⭐

I was up at Greeley Hat Works ask about place for lunch, they suggestion this restaurant . Food was good, had hard shell tacos, place was clean and service was excellent, cashier very friendly! Highly Recommend !

Been going here to Rancho for many, many years. The food is always good and one of my favorite places to eat. Always get the number 10, Carne Asada plate. The red hot sauce is the best!! They have gotten more expensive as the years go by and with no pricing on the menu, the final bill can be surprisingly expensive sometimes. Overall, great food.

LOVEEE to eat here! Food is great! Not the workers :/ the females are all rude and give dirty looks. They seem to care more for the male attention than helping or serving a table of woman. They act like they can barely speak English too. Which I know they do. I understand it’s a Mexican restaurant but some of us love Mexican cuisine an aren’t fortunate enough to learn the language yet. Come for the food but take it home tbh. The woman ruin the atmosphere.

I've only done takeout. I've always enjoyed my orders. I wish Mexican restaurants around here would add a couple of small tortillas to combo plates that come with rice and beans.

The food is terrible I got two tacos of chicken tortillas were soggy as heck no flavor.shreeded chicken. Waiter brought our food husband had menudo and he tried to stop her to get spoons she said she was busy.I was like is he going to eat it with his hands.we also when we ordered ask for torta to go.she told us when she delivered our food we would need to get back in line to tell them we needed the torta.I said thats why we ordered when we ordered our food.so we had to go get back in long line. Dont know how there so bust service is terrible.

Food was delicious, huevos ranchers and menudo were good

They were nice enough, but the food was mediocre in flavor. I probably wouldn't go back, but it wasn't bad. I tend to be picky on Mexican food, though.

Food is typically okay. Here is why my whole family almost always passes up when people ask to go here.... 1: they charge for chips and salsa. What?!? Who does that? 2: when you buy chips and salsa it's literally the smallest salsa dish you can get. 3: there are no prices on the menu! 4: do not get the carne asada! It's $16.50 and really not that much good 5: they have a "fee" for credit card use!! Haha nice.

This is probably the best, authentic Mexican food I've ever had! Excellent pastor pork, and the enchilada sauce is outstanding! Only Sorry that I've recently found out how great the food is here, or I would have been going here for years

This place came highly recommended by my best friend who has excellent taste in Mexican food. Rancho Alegre did not disappoint! I had the #18 Burrito Ahogado Breakfast and smothered with Pork Carnitas. Big sized burrito with plenty of sauce and cheese with a little Pico de gallo. Very delicious and very filling. The salsas were good too a green and a red with just enough kick but not too hot. Will definitely be back. This place can get real busy. Inside is nothing fancy but it is clean and plenty of seating. There isn't anyone to serve you except to bring the food after you place your order at the counter. If I lived in Greeley, this would definitely be a frequent favorite!

Two cheese enchiladas without onions and without pico-it was delicious. Not too greasy and not too dry. Just right Also had two beef tacos. Had to take the taco meat out of the fried corn tortilla shells because the shells were too stiff to eat but the filling was great! Unless you just really loves chips, i would skip those. The serving size is a small tray and they tasted like they were store bought. The chips were over $2.00. In my opinion, they weren't worth it but the rest of the food was absolutely worth it. The restaurant is clean and the service was quick.

OMG!!! This place is so good. Went here when it was another place and it was filthy and run down. Now it is remodeled and clean. The food is to die for and service is quick. I am picky about my Mexican food because we can usually make better at home but this place is really good.

First time here, but we'll be back. The food is delicious and reminds me a little bit of the Tex-Mex food I grew up with. The orders were brought to the table about 10-15 minutes after ordering at the counter. Pico on top of the enchiladas was a nice touch. Both my enchilada plate and my wife's combo enchilada/tamale plate were good sized without being humongous. Rice and beans were flavorful and fresh. Many families were here and I can see why.

Poor attitude from one of the ladies at the counter, she misheard what I ordered because they had music up so loud. When I got my food I checked it and found I had something I didn't order. I took it up and explained to her what was wrong and she says, "that's what you ordered." I told her no and she proceeded to try and argue about it and tried to defend that it wasn't her fault. You think given the business, customers are your bread and butter, without them you have no business. I wasn't upset that it was wrong, it was the fact she couldn't take responsibility for her mistake and tried to berate me into "this is what you ordered" fact of the matter is my family will NEVER dine here again period.

Went on a Sunday morning for their menudo and was not disappointed. The food was hot and it tasted good. Really good portion. A very large crowd, but the wait wasn't bad. Pretty good place for menudo in Greeley.

I love this plate! The enchilada is stuffed with chewy cheese. The taco is fried and filled with shredded beef. Good refried beans and rice. Large portions. I would like the sauce to be spicier but they have good salsas to make up for it. Just a bit different from other Greeley restaurants.

I ordered the #13 which is a tamale and a enchilada. I asked that it not come smothered in sauce because I prefer salsa with my tamales They did not smother it, but the tamale was so hard my fork couldn't pierce it. There was nothing but cheese in the enchilada. The refried beans were okay, but the rice was mushy and tasteless. Definitely not worth any money especially since 1/2 my meal was not edible unless I wanted to break a tooth. I honestly don't even know how someone thought that was okay to serve that.

Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I sent a message to them wondering if someone can pick up the phone and the lady kept telling we open at 9am well that's not what google or yelp state! The customer service is so poorly at this place I wish the ladies working upfront would be nicer to people. The food is amazing I'll give you that, but the customer service so lousy... very upset how they treat the customers.

Good, authentic Mexican food w friendly service. Place was packed!!! Good for them. Had the Chile relleno. Pretty good! Large serving. Again, friendly service. If I have a hankering for Mexican food, I'll come back here. Will never step foot in Alberto's in Greeley for Mexican food. The service is sooooo rude, and the food cold like they pulled it out of the fridge.

Stopped in to try their menudo , a good portion and very good taste . I will be back for another meal , breakfast,lunch or dinner everything looked delicious if the menudo is any indication this food will be very good. Thanks Rancho Alegre

This place has really delicious food, I got the smothered chicken burrito and the flavor was amazing. I do wish that the salsa for the chips was a little more spicy, but the flavor of it was very nice as well. It's more of a order at a counter and get your food brought out kind of restaurant so there's not much atmosphere but still would return based upon the food and the quick service. The spicy red and green sauces they bring out with your meal are really good as well, they add the right amount of heat and have a good flavor. Definitely more authentic and really tasty! It is a bit on the expensive side for how little ambiance there is (has more of a cafeteria feel), I would expect these price points for a restaurant that has a waiter, not a walk up counter, but overall was a pretty good experience.

Can I give half of a star? I just went in here today and was "welcomed" by a bad attitude with way too much makeup on and ZERO customer service skills. So I left and went over to El Pueblito! Delicious!

5* food, customer service, cleanness of restaurant. Only Mexican restaurant my family eats.

Are family enjoys eating there and love there cooking the only issue is the customer service the waitress/cashiers are some what rood and they don't put any attention if you need anything you pretty much need to get up and ask or unless there walking by .... and if you do get there attention they have an attitude a bought it very disappointing. I honestly wish the owners would be there so they could see how they treat there business when there not there .

UPDATE - I just went there- spent almost $80 to feed 4 people and went right back up to add chips and guacamole to my order and they insisted since my new charge was under $10 there was an additional $1 fee which I found very annoying since I just ran my card for almost $80 with a nice tip for a to-go order! I cancelled the chips and guacamole add on just because of principle-they couldn't have cared less.

One of the better Mexican restaurants I have been too. The restaurant is clean and the staff was great. Very friendly. No to the food. I love there Lengua tacos, one of the best I have ever had. I will have to try more food the next time. But the Lengua just melts in your mouth. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. Good job guys. I just wish I got more tacos today only got 4. Lol sorry no pic next time.

I thought this place was pretty cool. The chili verde melted in my mouth; you could taste the chilis, but they didn't overwhelm. The food is speedy and reasonably priced, and just plain delicious. The person staffing the counter, however, seemed largely disinterested and spent most of the time texting. You should definitely give this place a shot if you want good, well made mexican!

I love the food here. Im from Texas and its the only similar food I have been able to find in Colorado. But it seems like their prices go up and they continue to short you. I have never, never, never seen a place that charges you for salsa for the plates that you ordered. I dont know if its confusion but they point to the sign that says EXTRA salsa is a charge..not salsa for your plate. Get real salsa is not expensive to make and I should not be charged to get some salsa for my plate. I go to school for business...this is what businesses dont get. Customer relationship management is key to a business success or failure. In the long run a business may want make shortcuts and charge for everything but will loose and or drive more business away by doing so. So, sure charge me for salsa for my plate..by doing so youve lost my business.

Didn't love it. Flys, bad and rude service, the foods not great so the service makes make reconsider giving three stars and had to give only 1. Music is about the only good thing in that place, but not good enough to get me back in the door.

Food is great! But VERY expensive compared to other really good Mexican restaurants in Greeley. $18 for a Torta, chile fries and a drink. It's a walk up to order and refills for Mexican waters is $2.19. Very expensive for the area and the experience. AND THEY STILL EXPECT A TIP. mind you I'm not a cheap person when I eat/tip but this place kind of surprised me with their prices.

Large clean spacious restaurant with authentic Mexican food. Order at the counter and the food is brought to the table. Definitely would come back when in Greeley.

Traveling thru Greeley stopped here it was EXCELLENT! I was skeptic about Mexican food in Colorado but it was perfect

Delicious! A little on the pricey side but well worth it. Their pastor is delicious, as well as their smothered burritos. And my food was out in less than five minutes on a busy day. The red sauce is sooooo spicy but soooo yummy!!

Best breakfast burritos in Greeley, get the green chile or chile de arbol to complete the burrito. Even though the service isnt great, sometimes the waitresses are attractive, and that makes up for it sometimes.

Best mexican food, friendly staff, clean restaurant. A++++++++++ Been going here for over 12 years, very consistent, never had a bad experience! Drive from Denver just to eat here.

Good food and service. Very clean place and you could tell the food was homemade and fresh. I would go back if in the area again.

My hubby loves the chorizo enchiladas and I love there carna asada platter. Their breakfast burritos are pretty good too.

Great food and good service! If you're looking for the authentic Mexican food experience, Rancho delivers. I've had friends occasionally find fatty bits but if you're not too picky and realize that that means the food is homemade and willing to move on it is really very great! The salsas are tasty and spicy and everything is full of flavor! I recommend the milanesa (breaded beef) especially if it's your first time. Oh, and don't forget the horchata!

Extremely rude staff, refused to replace my food or refund my money when I told them I was given the wrong food! Didn't offer any apologies or an opportunity to make it right. Before I could ask to speak with a a manager the cashier hung up the phone and now will not answer my phone calls.

I've been going to this place since high school, over twenty years ago. Food has always been consistently great, but service has gone to s#it. I've displayed great patience over the last 6 months but my patience is gone. It's been a Saturday tradition to get carry-out for 10 or so people, therefore I call in 30-45min early every week. I've done this for 6 months and they have only answered ONCE! Why offer carry-out if you don't pick up the damn phone? Their excuse when I get in there is that they're too busy, however, when I get there, there MAY be one customer being helped. Not busy at all. One time I even called 10min straight, while I was sitting in there. No customers being helped, staff standing around, and nobody answers. If it were smaller orders, it wouldn't be a big deal to order there and wait, but when you've got a big order, nobody wants to sit around for 30 min waiting. That's what ordering over the phone is for! You've lost by business. I'm done.

Hands down the best Mexican food around!!! The menudo is very delicious ; it's not straight from a can like a lot of places do in Greeley ... I definitely like the new location since it moved down the block. Try this place you won't regret it !!!

Place was awesome back at the old building . It was a every Saturday tradition to go and eat there. But since they moved and are obviously trying to pay for the building the prices are way higher now. We stopped going a few months back .

Can you say Taqueria??? That's what this is. An expensive taco joint. Good was good. Staff? Not very friendly. Doubt if we ever go back.

More like Rancho Racist! A mariachi band offered to play songs for white tables for 7$ and for free for Hispanic tables, what gives? Food just ok and a bit on the pricey side. We won't be returning.

This place is insanely good. The spicy shrimp meal is truly life changing. Menudo is great too!

Pretty good Mexican food. Being from California, we've really struggled to find good Mexican food like we were used to. This is definitely the closest we've been able to get. The carne asada is very good. We also like their cheese enchiladas and chili verde. I don't really care for their salsa and their guacamole is a little strange - almost like there's mayonaise in it, and we just prefer salsa and guacamole that has a fresher taste. The actual food really makes up for those lacking pieces though.

Very good. Very clean. However it was super expensive which is why the three star rating. $15 for a plate of nachos is a little out of line in my opinion. Other than that it was very fresh and delicious.

By far, the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. The #10, carne asada was delicious! My 7 year old son had a cheese and carne asada quesadilla and demolished it. I cannot wait to come back to Greeley!
