This little Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and the quality of the food was excellent. Absolutely unmatched. If you’re in the neighborhood come very hungry. The portions are very large and affordable .

Good came out blazing fast and hot delicious! Thank you for the meal. Birria tacos were delicious and worth every penny!

I have no idea why it has taken me this long to come here. Outstanding food. Very reasonable. Decor is bright and fun. This will be my new favorite place in Northfield. Well done!

We have family visiting this weekend and decided to get takeout from TR. we got home and realized one order of tacos were missing. So I called and explained the situation and one of the owners got in her own car and delivered them to us! This is hands down our favorite place for great Mexican food but the family that owns the place is wonderful. You have customers for life!

A Cinco de Mayo party in front of the restaurant was a really fun experience this past Monday. I really enjoyed all the fun activities. The food was great from their food truck!

I come from an hour away just to get their tacos 🌮🌮 they serve big portions and are always pleasant 10/10 for me !!

I went with a few friends a few days ago for the first time and this place is absolutely perfect!! I was craving a bowl type of meal, so I got the TR shrimp bowl. The portion is perfect and the shrimp was grilled to perfection. I am so glad that they actually gave me more than 3 pieces of shrimp! This bowl was way better than chipotle lol

Passed by and had to circle back around it smelled so good and so glad we did!! Absolutely nothing but incredible vibes and food from this establishment! The birria tacos, shrimp burrito and street corn were all fantastic! Can't wait to get back to LBI and try more! Thank you so much again!

Friendly and fast service. Moderate prices. Menu is more modern than traditional. My Carne Asada Quesadilla was DELICIOUS!!! Clean and colorful dining room with great music. Place only has one unisex bathroom and that's not enough. I dined in for thirty minutes and it was constantly occupied. I couldn't even wash my hands. It needs another restroom. I would eat there again.

If you are VERY hungry and in the mood for Mexican this is the place to be. It's delicious, fresh and the service was excellent.

One of my favorite restaurants in town! I love to get the Surf & Turf Burrito - it is SO good! I hate cilantro so I usually request no cilantro, and they are very accommodating. The service is always great and I love the layout of the restaurant inside. I love it here & I highly recommend!!!

I yelped to find a place near my job bc I wanted tacos for Taco Tuesday. Well, Taqueria Rendon was at the top of the list based on the reviews I read. So, I decided to give it a try. This place is located in a strip mall, but the color of the sign helped me find it easily. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young woman who offered menus and a table near the window. I had already perused the menu online. Thus, I had a good idea of what I wanted to order. I decided to try the Elotes, Birra Quesadilla and rice with beans as my sides. My partner had a chicken and cheese quesadilla. My elotes arrived quickly. It was tasty. I would have liked to have more chili powder and cojita cheese. However, the corn itself was great. Our quesadillas arrived. When I tell you my Birra Quesadilla was enough for 2 people, I mean it. It was cut into 3s and I was only able to eat 1 piece. The Birra was overflowing and so flavorful. The rice and beans were good sides, but the Birra Quesadilla was definitely the highlight of my meal. I was so happy to have leftovers for the next day. My partner enjoyed his chicken quesadilla. He asked if we could return to Taqueria Rendon soon, so he could have another one. Needless to say, we will return to try more of delicious food at this place.

Taqueria Rendon is one of those restaurants that simply knocks it out of the park every time. It's hard to come by an authentic Mexican place in this area, especially with the influx of italian and asian cuisine. We stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon after the gym, and we were blown away. We started with the mexican street corn, which was delicious. It had the perfect blend of spices and cheese, and it was served on the cob. This made it stand out from other restaurants, simply because we could tell it was fresh. It was so crunchy and fell right off the cob. 9.8/10 ONLY because it wasn't enough to satisfy me. I wanted more Then we tried their chicken empanadas, which were served with a savory and sweet chipotle mayonnaise. They were a different consistency than other empanadas, but I liked them more because of their heartiness. They were so filling, I had forgotten we had another portion of our meal to finish. They had a thick cornmeal coating with a good blend of chicken, spices and (what I think were) potatoes. Delicious again. 10/10 I ordered the chicken burrito and added refried beans, my boyfriend ordered sopes carnitas. Both meals had giant portions. My burrito was big enough for two meals entirely. My boyfriend could only eat one taco. The burrito had a perfect blend of everything inside, all of the flavors were amazing. Ben loved the deep fried tortillas and the garnishes they had added as well. Burrito and sopes carnitas were both 10/10. The restaurant is a quaint, cozy place, with a nice atmosphere, fun and lively music playing. I love the rustic sign they have, certain lightbulbs aren't on which adds to the affect. The decor is beautiful, and they seem to be renovating to expand their restaurant. Customer service was good! I believe with more experience and returning clientele, this place could be one of the top spots in South Jersey. We were so pleased to have to roll ourselves out the front door. We will definitely return anytime we need to fill our bellies. :)

Great place to stop for take out or a quick meal! Small restaurant with a great ambiance and staff! Has the feel of a great take out spot but also cozy enough for a quick meal. The birria tacos are a must at this location but decided to get a couple of different menu items. Ordered the Al Pastor Rice bowl which was amazing. Generous portions of rice, beans, guacamole, and pico. The amount of Al Pastor topped was more than enough and you can even order double meat if you want! They also leave you with bottles of crema, salsa verde and salsa rojo. I was more than filled and more than satisfied. Also ordered their Paisa bowl which had homemade chicharones, plantains and carne asada. Great change of flavors! They also have lots of drinks available, from all of your different Jarrito flavors to bottled sodas and even homemade horchata. Will definitely be coming back!

Food is great & service always with a smile. Price points are in line with the never ending rise in food costs. My only beef is that chips/salsa don't come out pre-ordering without a charge. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have a free basket of chips?

Food is good, but depending on what you order, the portions may be tiny! For example, I ordered the chicken empanadas and they are 4 for $7. They are SMALL so don't order it and expect that you'll be full if you are sharing them with someone else. I also ordered the al pastor bowl and that was very filling (but mainly because it was mostly rice). I was disappointed that they forgot to give the guac (which is listed on the menu that it's one of items that would come with the entree), but the al pastor was tasty and authentic. Would order again, but just a heads up there is a discrepancy with what is showing on their website for online ordering vs seamless. A lot of the items aren't listed on seamless and when I called to inquire, the girl didn't even know what seamless was. Still worth a visit!

This was the Friday lunchtime treat I was hoping for! Upscale tasting food in a comfortable and casual environment. Very clean establishment that has a nice dine in area but conveniently setup for takeout as well. I sat in with family today and enjoyed the entire experience. The pleasant server took our order at the table since we needed time to peruse the ample menu options. I sampled a variety of items as is typical of me when the options sound too good to choose just one. I went with the obvious staple that is chips with guac and pico de gallo. The guacamole was bright in lime flavor. I love the zest it had and could easily eat a huge bowl of it. The pico de gallo was another great bite. Slightly spicy but very fresh with nice acidity and plenty of cilantro. As a main I went with the shrimp patacone and it was DELIGHTFUL! Such a great flavor variety. The pineapple marmalade is a nice touch of sweetness on an otherwise savory plate. The tostone was a great vehicle for this mountain of flavor. Nice and crispy. It held its structure and never turned soggy. My family members tried the birria nachos and had great things to say so everything really hit it outta the park here. Slightly pricey but worth it for this amazing fresh food. I'll be back but not soon enough!

My boyfriend and I are visiting from out of town and decided to try this place. After going on yelp and searching "local favorites", I see why this place has great reviews. What attracted me was the Elote (Mexican Street Corn) that I saw a picture of on someone's review. Finding good Elote is really really hard because a lot of people have their own special versions that I just do not care for. Their Elote is really good. They did put a little twist, but it was still delicious. Before ordering I asked the cashier. Did they make their corn with mayonnaise or sour cream. she responded and said mayonnaise. When she said that I knew it was gonna be good ! I requested for cilantro because it did not come with cilantro and they had no problem chopping some and adding it to the side. we also ordered the Birria tacos, chicken for one order and beef for the other. Both orders were delicious, fresh and hot. I love that they have sauces on the table for your convenience. The staff was really nice and helpful. We will definitely be visiting this place again.

Today we ventured off into our neck of the woods this diamond in the rough!!! A small little restaurant named Taqueria Rendon in Northfield, NJ. TACOS are one of my favorite foods!! Unlike Chinese food, Mexican food for me is always delicious and fulfills my bottomless pit of a stomach! Whenever I go to a new restaurant, I usually order the special for the night or the plate the waitress recommends. I went with what the latter and oh boy, it did not disappoint!!! It was like a taco & tostones had a baby! At first bite, I did not know what had happened to me. I paused, so that I could process this euphoric feeling that I began to have as I was eating my Carne Desmechada (Shredded Beef) Patacones. It was delectable!! They are geniuses! Doug had the Beef Birria Tacos with Consome sauce! I, of course had a little bite of that and it was equally as good! The waitress came up to ask if we needed anything and I asked her what kind of juices were in the the fountain. She explained that they make Orchata (Rice Milk) and Parcha (Passion Fruit) juice every morning. I ordered the Parcha. It was great! Before we left I wanted to try their Tres Leche cake. She said that aunt of the owner bakes these cakes. I boxed my remaining food not because I didn't want to finish it but because it was massive. It was just an amazing experience! 10 out of 10 recommend! Take a trip to Northfield and try this spot!!

This place has been my go to spot for the past 3 years! The food is amazing and so delicious. The staff is very friendly and the service is 10/10. I would recommend the birra burrito and the carne asada burrito to anyone's first time coming here.

Currently munching on the surf and turf. I got mine without tomatoes. Absolutely crazy. The steak burrito is also awesome. I almost forgot to leave a review it just makes you forget about everything else. It's so yummy. They make their rice really well too so the burrito flavors blend well together. The service was really nice and it's a very calm chill atmosphere. They have candies at the counter and they encourage you to take as many as you want. But as much as I love free candy, this place or what I ordered at least, might be better than Tacos El Tio.

I got excited by seeing that the menu has veggie birria tacos. I'm not in the area too often so I decided it's worth a shot to check out this place. I ordered takeout during lunch and they were pretty busy. The restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza on Tilton road and seems to be a relatively new location. Overall, I found the tacos to be a big pricey. 3 tacos for about $15. The tacos were filling and tasted good but a bit too greasy for my liking.

The best food around. Everything here is so good, my family is obsessed! Staff is so kind as always. New renovations opened up the space so much and it looks great inside. Excited for the outside dining to open up!!!

Fresh ingredients. Was able to get my order with no issues. Patrons kept coming to eat during the rain storm. Try the chorizo tacos.

We do takeout. Food is pa lager very nicely. Nachos with chicken is great and burrito is also good. Not a big Mex food eater but when the mood strikes this is where we go.

Great taste, one of the best places to eat birria tacos. Street corn is fine but I have eaten better street corn at Chili's .

Let me start off by saying, I wish I could give half stars because I would've rated 3 and a half. I REALLY wanted to LOVE this place. But, Being from California I was expecting taquerias like out west. With a salsa bar and great prices. That leads me to my next point, it is pretty pricey. For two adults and a toddler we spent $40+ on dinner. I wouldn't have mind paying if it was amazing. But It was just good. I had the birria tacos with consomé, my husband had the carne asada tacos (kinda dry), our baby got the chicken tacos and we got two drinks. I absolutely loved the atmosphere.. my Mexican was showing with all the cumbias playing I wanted to get up a dance. In conclusion, I hope this place continues to do well. It makes my heart so happy to see more and more Mexican places opening up around this area. Like I said, it's good just pricey.

Steak Tacos were extremely dry. No flavors at all. They were so tough that I couldn't even eat them.

The pork tacos were better than the Birria tacos in our opinion, but both were so good!! Can't wait to come back and try more.

I never had birria before eating here, but I honestly think it cannot get better than this. The first time, I got the birria taco box and everything was amazing. This time, the birria burrito was just as good, if not better, than the tacos! I cannot wait to go back. It's my definite go-to delivery place.

Wow! First time trying barria and they have me hooked. I cannot wait to go back and get some more. Their handmade chips are cooked to perfection and their guac was great. First time trying fish tacos as well, they did not miss their mark. Everything was amazing as well as great, friendly staff + super quick service.

The service here was amazing, everything came out super fast. It was my first time and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the birria tacos! There were a few diners eating in, including us. The place itself has a welcoming feel to it.

Today my wife and I came in for lunch. Staff is always very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the pinche wedge fries and a birria torta. Food came out fast and was very hot. Everything was delicious!!!!!

Hubby and I drove an hour to try the birria tacos. I ended up getting the Birria Torta and it was amazing! He had the shrimp chorizo tacos and birria tacos and they were also really good posting this review since I didn't see any photos of the torta.

I got two elote here for 10.66 which i think is extremely overpriced but also the corn was SO small. It is not worth it. Waited about 7 mins for but it wasnt even warm

Always fresh ingredients and fresh tastes here. Customer service is excellent and orders are relatively fast. Although not cheap, the quality and authenticity is the best I have ever tried in the area. Ive tried about everything from Birra tacos to Chicken Birra and the Surf and Turf Burritos and Carne Asada tacos , Shrimp Birra , Fish Tacos and Mexican Street corn or rice. All of them are excellent!!

We made the trip from OCNJ after multiple friends spoke so highly about this spot, and I'd make the trip again and again! Quesadillas were fire but we came specifically for the birria and it was such a treat. It's a small, cozy, brightly colored restaurant, not a TON of seating and there are definitely lunch rushes but we didn't have to wait too long for our meal despite showing up around 1pm.

SO GOOD. first time trying and I came here and i am soo impressed. Such a home cooked taste. Food took no time at all to come out. Such a fun vibe inside with the music. its small so never feels overwhelming. Great menu choices as well. No tap water though!!

Waitress services is really poor here, they don't make you feel welcome, I felt I had to make her job easy by guessing what the "aguas" are made off. Never a smile and the place not not that busy. I asked about "carne asada" for me if the meat has tons of fat I know I am not gonna eat it and it would ruin my meal. I inquired about the quality of the meat, if it had a lot of fat, well she did not like my question and said "it is steak." Again, I ask for the quality NOT what type of meat. As expected, the "steak" was nothing but hard chewing-gum, so if you care about your teeth and stomach, stay away from "carne asada". For me Customer Service is essential, and the demeanor of the ladies in charge of this task left me with a "bad taste"

OMG the best Mexican restaurant in south Jersey. Everything is good, but definitely try the Birria - tacos or quesadilla, you can't go wrong! The broth is homemade and cooked to perfection. Prices are reasonable.

First time I been here I heard so much about them so I tried it out and I must say it's a great place when you walk in very clean very great atmosphere, the waitress and nice and helpful very great place to eat, the food was amazing my goodness the carne asada tacos where amazing great steak on it and the green salsa was great. Will definitely be back great service also.

Young Lady at the front was rude. Very short with answers like I knew the menu off top of my head. Greeted me then another person came in after and assisted them 1st ... Maybe I'll try to go again based off food. Chipotle sauce on fish tacos was not for me but that's just me. Other then that food was great..

I have been hearing this place for awhile so I was excited to try it out! The decor inside is beautiful and the service was quick and easy. But it was very pricey for the food you are getting and personally it's not worth it. The favorite part was only the horchata, but even with that you can find better horchata elsewhere.

Let's start with the server as soon as my family walked in she gave us nothing but an attitude. Then we order our food which was a fajita bowl and burrito. The burrito was supposed to have guacamole on it, so I called the waitress over and showed her that there was no guacamole in the burrito so I order a side of guac. It's time for us to pay the bill and she charges us for a side of guacamole but we shouldn't be getting charged when it should've been on the burrito and it wasn't. The waitress kept saying oh I can bring it back to the kitchen. I can get the kitchen for you. She was completely missing the principle my burrito was supposed to have guacamole on it, and it did not. As a customer I feel like I was ripped off. I was a returning customer multiple times, but they will not see me again.

Ordered takeout after a loooong adventure with the pups. We got the carne patacones and the fish tacos. It was ready in 15 mins! It just opened, but it's a cute little spot. The fish tacos were on point with lots of flavor and OMG the patacones... no words. It has pineapple marmalade on it that gives you the perfect tangy/sweet offset to the salty plantains & beef. Next time, I definitely have to try the birria tacos, as I heard they were to die for. We would definitely come back for a casual date night here. Hope they do well!

Two words.... birria tacos. If you have never tried them, I highly suggest you order them. They are delicious and filling and you can tell everything is made fresh. Their pico and guac are both amazing. My boyfriend ordered the birria ramen which is basically two meals in one. I can't wait to try the fish tacos. Highly suggest!

Ok folks. This was one of those great Yelp moments. Side of the road stop for a place. 1.6 miles. The birria tacos were just completely fab. Like a French dip but much better. With the homemade rice milk, it was 18 bucks , but it was a total belly filler. That place is just off the hook good.
