Taqueria Rendon (Ocean City)

I drive to ocean city, a 1.5 hour drive, for this food. I do like the beach but I *could* go to any beach. I come to ocean city so I can eat the best burritos and tacos.

I have never left a review on the internet of any restaurant but I feel it is my divine duty to tell to world to come to OCNJ and get the Pinche Wedge Fries!!!!!! Life-changing stuff I’m so serious

Wow. I am shocked to find gourmet and authentic Latin cuisine. They are not just your average board walk food. These are top notch 100% serious Latin cuisine at your fingertips tips. I HIGHLY recommend the Chicken tacos. Wow!!!!! They even threw a little bit of tomatillo sauce for free in there. Yes I tipped. (Why not?) Stop on by for authentic Mexican.

This place is seriously awesome, and a blessing to have on the Boardwalk amongst all of the other restaurants that are 90% the same types of food items. I have a food allergy to milk, so finding something to eat on the Boardwalk is pretty impossible. I decided to try the Beef Empanadas here, as well as the Chicken Bowl without the ranch sauce. Both were AMAZING!! I ended up ordering from them every day I was there, and I never got sick of it. The portions are also really good for the prices. Please support a place like this at least once while on vacation while you're surrounded by a sea of pizza and fries. Bonus - they play great music while you wait !

There was a plastic shard in my husbands steak tacos. Instead of taking ownership and apologizing, I was repeatedly told they don’t have any glass. I told them it was not glass, it was plastic. They said sorry and would not offer a refund as the tacos were eaten on the beach and we found plastic in the last one. Very disappointing because it’s a problem that could have been fixed. Will not return. Awful service, food is mediocre. Eat at your own risk.

Shockingly good Mexican for Ocean City, and I’ve lived in the southwest for 12 years. This is a must-visit. Excellent portions and food quality. Just look at how colorful my meal was! I got a chicken bowl and loved it. I’ll be coming back many times!

Hands down the best birria tacos I’ve ever had. Extremely flavorful from the meat to the sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service from the 2 ladies in the front were great. The mango drink they had was also amazing. Definitely worth checking out as the prices are very fair compared to other places on the boardwalk. Can’t wait to come back!

We shared the personal birria box which came with 4 small but stuffed Birria tacos, consume, chips, guacamole, green and red salsas. And each got a street corn. It was all delicious and very filling. The staff was friendly and quick and I loved that they taped the box closed and gave us utensils and napkins for our walk back to our hotel. We didn't purchase but They had a great assortment of beverages jarritos, horacha, passion fruit juice.
