This is INSIDE the gas station, some indoor seating and you order before you sit. Only stumbled upon this because I was craving soup and the pho places weren’t open yet when I was driving through on my roadtrip. Took a chance on the reviews as very happy with the Menudo. Broth was a bit thick so probably has a decent amount of fat but it was tasty, the pieces of tripe were perfect bite size, easy to chew, soft, and tasted clean. Came with lemon, cilantro, onion, a chilli oil, and tortillas. It was HOT and fresh when it came out. Would return here next time I’m driving through! However get as at the mobile nearby, it’s cheaper…

Authentic Flavor and Traditional Dishes served at this Mini Mart location. Happily Surprised and delighted to find this place as it was clean and the service was exceptional. Friendly faces and relaxed atmosphere.

The place is located in the back of the gas station convenience store. If you don't know Spanish, it is a bit difficult to order here. They have a bathroom for customers, but need to request the key from the lady. The food was pretty good and spicy as expected.

Great little taqueria inside of Howards Mini Mart and gas station. The staff is very friendly and considerate. The food is simple Mexican food: hearty, filling, spicy, and delicious. The seating is quaint and accommodating. They can do to-go or for-here orders. The tables are usually very clean and the seating is easily available.

The mole was good. We drove 4 hours to come support the family from the Half moon Massacre. I am used to kind of spicy mole. Even though the mole was sweet it still was pretty good.

It's in a gasoline station. It took about 20 minutes for us to get our food, and we were the only ones there. They gave us one place setting. Maybe because my mom needed a spoon for her menudo and I needed a fork for my food... but really, you couldn't give us both a setting 🤷‍♀️

Inside gas station. Love the food. It’s very authentic. I was bracing craving mole and it exceeded my crave demand. I added cecina to my plate and it’s really good.

This is located INSIDE the gas station, you have to enter through the gas station and there's a handful of indoor tables for groups of 4 people and you order before you sit. Tables were clean. Food came out pretty quickly and it was HOT and fresh. Menudo was sooo good! The pieces of tripe were a perfect bit size easy to chew size and they were soft and tender. I wish it came with a bit more hominy but the onions and cilantro helped add texture. It also came with a chili oil and lemons. The broth was a bit thick, super tasty and tasted like it was made with love by a Mexican mom. I would get it again if I'm ever around.

Workers are super nice and patient with non-Spanish speakers. Food is great price for the portions and taste and quality is sublime.

A lot can improve actually. I thought it was going to be a cool re opening from the prior location "tacos las salsas". Took 25 mins to get me some tacos and beans and rice special they had going on. Service is really unorganized. No direction where to wait or order and the gentleman there was basically rushing me to order and still took that long to give me some food that I'm sure is already prepared. People who got there after me and ordered to eat there got their food before me. The ambience felt real uncomfortable. The food could use a bit more flavor and their customer service skills can also use a lot of work. Pricing is ridiculous for the quality of the food as well. Luckily I got their lunch special price

The food is good. I got a tlayuda. A bit expensive but i don't mind once in a while. The service was terrible. They got the order wrong and refused a refund or to make the order right. When confronted with the bad order all the lady said was yeah i got the order wrong that was my fault but refused to give us the correct order.

Asada burritos had 5% asada in it and 90% rice. Sad part is that the rice looked like it's been cooked 8 hours before getting it.

I had been craving a real "Mexican Pizza" aka Tlayuda for a while now and I finally decided to pick one up on my lunch break. The name of the restaurant means little Oaxacan corner and it lives up to its name. This spot is tucked away behind the convenience store at the gas station. Keep walking all the way back and you'll see it. They even have tables and chairs for you if you want to sit and eat your meal. I ordered the tlayuda and a cucumber agua fresca to go. The tlayuda was made fresh to order and took a little while to come out. In the mean time they brought out my drink and complimentary duritos (puffed flour snacks similar to pork rinds but plant based) with hot sauce. I didn't mind waiting but the duritos were a nice touch. The tlayuda finally came out and I was on my way back. The service was very friendly. I got home and immediately dug in. Omg this is so good!! The corn crust is really crispy like a giant tostada. You can break off any size piece you want for your slice and the crust holds up. You can even bend it or fold it on itself. The toppings are super flavorful and I appreciated that the meat was tender. The tomato and avocado are really fresh. I tried all the salsas and couldn't pick a favorite. They're all delicious and not too spicy. I recommend sharing between 2-4 people or 2-4 lonely meals at home if you're like me ;) I highly recommend this spot, especially if you're already filling up your car.

I was looking for a hole in the wall for our weekly morning date and decided on this place. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a Tlayuda Mixta. I have been wanting to try it for a while. It's so big that me and my boyfriend shared it. The flavors hit the spot and the tree chili was the cherry in top. The kitchen was manned by two people and you can tell they put pride in their food. I can't wait to go back and try the Oaxaca Mole and Enfrijoladas.

Food gem. I guess I'm now a firm believer that you can never go wrong with Oaxaca food. I was craving mole The cecina is fire. The owners serve you as if you're home. Even tho it's inside a gas station as the food court it has respectable seating and an available restroom. The price and selection is on point.

Ladies are so sweet and food is delicious. Mole oaxaqueña 10/10! Camarones al ajillo also have a good kick. Will definitely be coming back and ordering catering.

Great food! My husband and I shared a tlayuda. It was very tasty and a perfect portion for two. The service was nice and welcoming like going to a family members house. The location is deceiving but definitely worth a try to venture out and give this place a try.

Maybe I ordered the wrong food, but what I had was not good. The Carne Asada burrito was mostly rice and the meat had no flavor. I also ordered two queso birria tacos and they also had no flavor. I won't be going back.

Found this place on Yelp when in search of tacos. It's a little shop towards the back of the gas station. They had great service ( I called in my order then picked it up in about 10 mins). My favorite were the Al pastor. They gave us plenty of salsas ( 3 different types) and they were all so good! Will definitely be back.

The food is outstanding and the family running they place are very friendly and welcoming. Everything is prepared when ordered and tastes very fresh. The Mole Oaxaqueño is some of the best in Bakersfield. I stop here a couple of times a month for lunch

I love this spot. It's deceiving because it's inside a gas station tucked in a back corner. The food here is great. I get tacos here often. The pastor are my favorite. And I particularly love this orange colored salsa they have here that you can ask for.

The food is honestly pretty good they have an authentic flavor the sauce is good a little pricy for what you get but compared to other bigger restaurants it's honestly not that bad but the food no complaints tacos crunchy as they should be all in all if you're having doubts I can assure you can't go wrong with a asada taco w salsa

Today was my third visit.I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this little hole in the wall taquerta inside the Valero gas station and the flavor of the carne asada and al pastor tacos. They give three different salsas and my favorite is the spicy one that has an orange color. I wont hesitate to recommend this place and will continue to patronize this business even though it's about 8 miles from home. Don't let the location put you off. try them, I know you'll return for more.

Serious hidden gem. Hidden in the gas station and with a small sign so they are not getting a lot of attention. But their food rocks.

The food here is good quality food. Tlayudas are a must try, you will enjoy it. Excellent food and highly recommend. My order came with three different sauces and they gave me two free drinks!

Doesn't look like much but when you walk pass by, it smells so good that it made me hungry. So I order Oaxaqueño mole and 4 tacos of Suadero. Man let me tell you. IT WAS BOMB!!!! They fs got 5 stars from me.
