Taqueria Santa Fe

A brooklyn native but first time visiting here and it was soo good. We were able to find seats really quickly while the space wasn’t the biggest it has ample space. The food was sooo good, which is not that easy to say about Mexican food in NYC but given that this is Bushwick makes sense. The service was amazing, they were so sweet and super quick. I had gotten the Barbecoa tacos special which came with barbecoa soup , barbecoa burrito and the chicken quesadillas. It was well presented and came out quickly. I was full after two tacos but it was soooo amazing you definitely have to stop by here if you’re around Bushwick. I know that it’s a little bit more pricer than other spots but hey I don’t hate on small business trying to thrive in actively gentrifying neighborhoods. 10/10 would recommend coming back here

this place is under appreciated tbh, the staff are super sweet and food is fire, i love the barbacoa tacos, black bean soup is soooo good i go back for it and chips are also homemade really yum. flourescents are not my fave but DEF go for this spot over the place across the street!

This is one of the best taco places, the food is absolutely delicious, tasty and flavorful. I have try many different things on the menu and they all are good. The location in Woodside is also great if you are in Queens. Well recommended :)

Bomb tacos, hands down!The chicken soup was delicious too! I wish I tried their frozen horchata, we’ll definitely try it next time! Very clean and really friendly staff:).

This place was so good. I actually forgot I went here because it was a busy day, but I'm so glad I was reminded of this spot. The food was great, it was reasonably priced and JESUS so filling (I got three meals with all the leftovers from me and my girl); but what ultimately made this place stand out? The workers. I don't think I've had better or kinder service in NYC that didn't come with the expectation of dropping a giant tip. These dudes were so nice, we went to the counter and tipped 30% unnecessarily because it is literally counter service. By the end, I was considering taking a summer evening job with them just to learn some new cooking skills and work on my Spanish. These guys rock, and I just might go back this weekend.

Came in for dinner. The place was small and quiet, good hospitality and good food. Chips were fresh, salsa was good, horchata was decent and my carnitas burrito was so big that I was only able to eat half and took the rest to go. It was on the pricey side though I didn't expect those three things to add up to 38 bucks.

One of my favorite places to eat in Bushwick! The portions are so good for the price, and the quality is always great. I don't usually leave yelp reviews, but this place is so good I had to.

Cozy, very inconspicuous Mexican restaurant. The tacos and burritos were so good! When we entered, it was kind of empty but right after our order the restaurant became packed, rightfully so. We would definitely come back if we're in the neighborhood again.

Super tasty and great portion, especially for the price. I got the avocado steak salad and found it delicious. I believe the salad would pretty much qualify as keto and paleo (not certain and don't know oil that's used). I did find the steak a little bit tough, probably flank, but the taste, freshness, and variety in the salad made up for it. You can ask for salsa roja and/or verde. There are only about 5-6 tables but there was room. Staff was very pleasant, food prepared fresh to order. They recently renovated. Would definitely come back.

Outstanding steak and chicken tacos ! The tacos aren't cheap but boy are they worth it ! The chicken was perfect size with its fresh onions and cilantro l. Pour their guacamole sauce and it really gets even more enhanced flavor . Make no mistake about it though , these tacos don't need any sauce . The steak taco was extra tender and savory as well and probably was the better of the two . The taco shell itself was also added to the mouth party adding additional savoriness as it wasn't dry like many other spots .Don't add hot sauce unless you like spicy , it is not one of those mild hot sauces! Service wise , The guy in the front was also super friendly and greeted me nicely and that made me feel very welcomed. With that being said , I have to give this a deserved perfect rating .

I wanted to try a new Mexican spot so I decided to look on yelp. I came across Taqueria Santa Fe and decided to try it today. I bought the chicken burrito and chipotle soup it was so amazing. The burrito had the poblano spicy rice, and it was so filling the soup it was completely delicious and filled with spices would definitely go back again and the staff was completely nice and friendly. Great neighborhood spot.

Delicious food and great service; generous portions. I've been going back weekly. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for Mexican food in Bushwick.

Ordered the Al Pastor and the grilled steak tacos. Staff was very nice and gave recommendations on their favorite menu items. They were also very generous with the sauces. Food was tasty but it was quite pricey for the portion size.

Great fresh food. My go to order is the chicken burrito with extra cheese. Thank me later.

My go to neighborhood spot. All the meat is so good. I love the barbacoa and Al pastor. Plus the prices and service are amazing!

Amazing Mexican Food! I ordered for delivery and was not disappointed with flavor, however, my nachos was more like a salad bowl. Hardly any nachos in sight and just a container full of meat and lettuce. I really wanted nachos more than anything so it sorta blew my entire mood but once I bit into the tiny tacos, it made me feel better. The tacos are too expensive for its size but delicious I can't even say they aren't. It's like a mini taco that fits on the palm of your hand perfectly. Thankfully I ordered enough for everyone because these are far from standard size. The quesadillas are also amazing. I had the chicken fajita quesadilla and they're solid, stuffed with meat and delicious. They sure don't skimp you out on meat here but darn it having the nachos would've been so much better. I will definitely order from here again despite the nacho incident lol.

I was treated here for a quick dinner on a Wednesday evening. Never heard of the place and actually didn't Yelp it until after we ate. I'm here to confirm that my fellow Yelpers were right... this place is legit, folks! I ordered the 3 taco special ($6.99). Went with steak because I was hungry and I love my beef. It was so good and had me reminiscing of my Cali days! I also got an aqua de pepino (cucumber juice). That was just okay. Really glad we found this spot. It's a tight squeeze inside, but clean with standard service. Good eats at a great price. What more can you ask for! I gotta come back.

Shared a couple of the barbacoa tacos with their signature green sauce. Tacos were good. They were ready very quickly. Not too much seating inside; only space for about ten. $4 per taco or 3 for $10.

Customer service was great! The two staff were wearing masks. We got the lunch special which was delicious! The cashier let us sample all of the juices which were also so good! She brought chairs outside for is to sit. Would definitely come back!

Believe the hype! My friends dental office is right around the corner from this small Mexican Dive. She suggested and we obliged. All the reviews are on the money. Large portions and tasty. Unfortunately I'm never in the neighborhood. However when I have my bi-yearly check ups, this will be the place I'll be stopping by.

Tried to order delivery through here but they called and told me that they were out of several of my items. OK, so cancel the order. Thanks... They said they would. I called back after I noticed the order was still on my app (Caviar- which, by the way, has sucked during the Covid crisis). They didn't cancel it. Now they say they're not able to. Just lying. If you're reading this that means the food also sucks so I didn't edit the review.

Recently moved to the area and I have been here twice and the food has yet to disappoint! First time I got the beef burrito and it was amazing and so filling! second time I went I got Santa Fe sand which with al pastor the bread tasted so fresh!

Small spot on side street food is freshly prepared and is very flavorful ... Worth a visit if you are in the area ... Not fast food by any means ... all made to order ... special requests accommodated since I'm not a fan of onions lol...

I was in town and in Brooklyn Sat evening and had the tacos. First time visiting this place. They were sooo good and authentic!! Not someone who eats at restaurants often but this was on point! It was fresh, not salty and just really really good. The restaurant was clean. I'd come back for sure.

So. Fricken. Good. The first time eating from TSF, we had it delivered and it did take an hour but they did let us know it would be approx that. Then tonight we got chicken and steak quesadillas annnnnnd Chicken Nachos. Everything is so flavorful and delicious. Although it's constantly busy and tonight the phone didn't stop ringing... everyone got their food and was super happy. I've never had to ask for anything from them. Thanks so much guys, you rock!

So glad I found this place! It's your typical neighborhood tacqueria that you'd run to for a quick meal. They have a straightforward and pared down menu but they nail everything. The carnitas was cooked perfectly and went well with the green sauce. The chicken was also really good but the chorizo wasn't my favorite. Though all of them are objectively better than many overpriced tacos I've had in higher end restaurants. The highlight of the meal was the steak quesadillas. WOW. ORDER THIS. Huge portion and so satisfying. Priced well too! The steak was juicy and full of flavor and the quesadillas were stuffed to the brim with cheese. To die for - so so good with the sour cream and guac. Docking a star because the guacamole that comes with the chips is overpowered by the lime - it doesn't even taste like there was seasoning added. The salsa was also lacking flavor - it's watery and looks bland and tomato soup-y. Disappointing. Can't wait to come back though. Hope they relook at their chips and salsa special.

Taqueria Santa Fe is dope. I've been here several times now both to eat in and take out, and I've never been disappointed. The portions are huge, the tacos are amazing, and everyone who works here is incredibly nice. The steak tacos, in particular, are incredibly flavorful and juicy. Their guacamole is on point (and served with a giant basket of chips, if you're so inclined). The quesadilla is massive and overflowing with cheesy goodness. Their chicken chipotle soup is a little spicy, but just the thing for warming you up on a cold day. Everything is always freshly prepared and it never takes very long to receive your food. Anyways, eat here.

I went on a Sunday afternoon while; I was visiting a friend and watching some football. The place is not that big but it very cozy and the staffs are very friendly and are patience at the time that you are making a order. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. I order the chicken quesadilla with was AWESOME and I ended licking my fingers; the quesadilla was so full of chickens and cheese that went I took a bite of it the chicken fell into my plate. Without a doubt this is one of the best quesadilla I have eaten in a long time.

Stopped here for lunch and ordered the avocado tacos with chips and guac. Both were Amazing with a capital A! The lady taking my order was nice as well. The green and red sauce were very spicy but I like spice so it was a welcoming taste. Drink selection seemed limited but the food was A1. If I'm in the area again I would most definitely be going back!

I don't write reviews. I ordered them on a whim. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Maybe best tacos I've had in nyc and I've been here 6 years - also know my tacos having lived in Texas for 5 years and bored and raised in California. order the jalapeño chorizo tacos, get extra of the green cream sauce you won't regret it.

Five stars these guys were amazing host and their food was amazing including their soup they also gave us complimentary dessert which is made by tres leche. My friends and I are not going to go there every Saturday night because of how amazing these guys are I recommend it to anyone living in Bushwick. Their tacos are also one of the New York's best sellers.

Food is so fresh, service is always great. This place is such a hidden gem. Amazing Al pastor & Chicken Tinga tacos, Steak a la Mexicana, and the best Chicken soup.

Really consistently delicious food, ordered from them a bunch of times. Highlights that are a must try are: -Chilequiles -Chorizo Tostada -Pretty much any of the burritos

Would've given this place 5 stars had it not been for the super slow service. Everyone who works here is great and really friendly, and honestly it might just be a case of being understaffed, but it really shouldn't take 20+ minutes to get some tacos and a quesadilla. We've been here 5-6 times now and the pace is similar each time. We've made the best out of it and have been ordering early prior to coming in/picking up, which seems to work well for us, but if you come here on a whim, prepare to wait a bit. This spot is a couple doors down from our gym (Blink) and always hits the spot after a good workout. Their food is always so fresh. I get a quesadilla each time and cannot complain whatsoever. Decently priced for a hole-in-the-wall joint - good food nonetheless.

I order from here all the time because I live around the corner and have never once been disappointed. The quesadillas are incredible - never had a quesadilla with mozzarella cheese in it before but it is one of the greatest meals I've ever had. Get it with steak if that's your sort of thing. Also don't sleep on the soup, guac, and nachos !! Oh and they always give you so many sauces :) Amazing place, amazing service 5/5

Just... so good. Their chicken chipotle soup and their steak quesadilla? Bomb.com Their tres leches? Not home made but hey, sweetness is sweetness. Jugó de Jamaica? Yes please. I order from these folk almost weekly, if not more. And if you're in bushwick, their delivery time is crazy fast. The same guy always delivers to me and he's the sweetest. 10/10 would recommend.

Dude! This place is amazing! I needed a new taco place cus my other one is closed due to the pandemic. Delivery on caviar took over an hour but it was worth it! Carnitas was def the best but I also ordered Al pastor, grilled chicken and chicken tinga which was an honorable mention. Def will recommend to friends!

This review is only for the beef tacos takeout*** I didn't really have high hopes for this place even though it somehow manages 4 1/2 stars, but I wanted to give it a try. I ordered 3 steak tacos and was sorely disappointed. The steak pieces are dry and chewy. I don't recall anything memorable about the tacos, or if they even had any sauce on them. Probably won't be back because there are so many more options in the area.

Delivery is great. The food never disappoints. It's become one of our go to spots. My favorite is their veggie quesadilla.
