Taqueria Tampico

The food has been delicious, hot, and fresh every time I've ordered here; they are very consistent. I call in my order and they have it ready for pick up in about 10 minutes. Also, it's a cute little place to sit down and eat in if that's what you are wanting.

I know it's anomalous to order crispy tacos at what I feel is an authentic Mexican restaurant, but their tacos dorados are delicious. I get them along with the carne asada burrito and an horchata every time I come to Delano to visit my parents. Today, we ordered 10 tacos dorados, 2 carne asada burritos, a side of rice and beans, large chips and salsa, and a medium horchata. Everything came out to $50 and some change. Prices have gone up over the past few years, but so has every other restaurant. Needless to say, the food is still very delicious and the way the food is put together, looks like they actually care about presentation and the customer's thoughts.

Love their rice and the refried beans are phenomenal! Great fried shrimp! Very friendly and helpful. They treat you like their best friend!

Casual, authentic Mexican restaurant offering delicious home made food - plain and simple. We tried a few items including a shredded beef tostada, shredded beef sopes, a seafood botana and a couple of carne asada tacos. Everything we tried was delicious and authentic. My favorites were the tostada and the botana. The shredded beef on the tostada was flawlessly seasoned and had the perfect amount of juices. It was topped with beans, shredded lettuce, tomato and cojita cheese. It's served with two fried tostada shells with a great crunch! The botana was served with shrimp, octopus abalone, and an oyster. The seafood was fresh without tasting fishy or having a gummy consistency. There were 3 sizes to choose from. This is a no-nonsense place with fast, friendly service and a chill vibe. They still serve complimentary chips and salsa and also have a decent beer selection. If you want delicious food without all the bells and whistles stop by Tampico and satisfy the craving!

Food and service are top notch! Finished dropping off a patient at the hospital and got recommended here. Did not disappoint !

Food is always on point. Service is good. Ordered the steak picado this time around as it's always my go to when I go an authentic Mexican restaurant. There has been thee spots that has made this the best. 1. Mariscos Las Brisas in Ontario 2. La Guadalajara Cantina in Lake Elsinore 3. Taqueria Tampico in Delano I've also ordered the cabesa tacos. This place has got to be one of the best.

Their food is always consistent. Plus you have the option for fresh tortillas that they press there in house and slightly bigger tacos. They have been around for years and it's been the same owners. So whatever you're craving they pretty much have it there from tacos to soups to seafood. Try them out. You won't regret it. Sorry I forget to take pictures of my food, but I have been there twice this week. And didn't regret getting my food from them.

This taqueria is a treat. Live music today and lots of happy faces. I had three carnitas tacos with fresh made tortillas and they were excellent as was the service. I will certainly be back!

Food was nasty and expensive. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If i could give negative stars i would. I do not plan on coming back here

Great tacos and burritos stay away from ceviche it taste like frozen fish but the service on point so are the tacos and burritos tortas are good too.

Good foo, good environment. Prices are fair for the amount of food they give you. Excellent customer service always on top of things.

I love this place, it's privately owned. The owners are kind and friendly. Iv been coming here for years and it's always busy. It's delicious authentic Mexican food. It's not very big inside but it's clean and cozy. The parking is HORRIBLE only fits 6 cars thank god for the street parking. But overall I love this placed. If you're looking for good authentic Mexican food this is the place.

I'm not from the area and thought I'd try something new while on my way home from Los Angeles. I ordered chilaquiles with no cheese and the egg cooked with the tortillas and they gave it to me on the side. I don't send food back and would have enjoyed it better, but overall I'm satisfied with flavor, spice and texture. I came during a slow time but filled up soon after. Restaurant is ran by a nice family and will return to try again.

Fast friendly service. If you want good quality Mexican food in delano this is the place to go. The chicken flautas are delicious. The burritos are really big and the aguachiles are bomb very spicy thought. Fried fish is also very tasty (ask for chilies toreados) The parking could be better.

I got the al pastor, carne asada, and fish tacos. All the tacos were very delicious. The price is pretty fair. The al pastor has great flavor. The fish tacos were ok. The carne asada is ok.

I live in Arizona but every time I visit my family in California (Mcfarland) it's a must for me to go eat here or take out. My favorite "to go to" dish is their 7 Mares. It's absolutely delicious & to die for. It takes a little while to get my order but it's so well worth waiting for it because they make it fresh & when you order. They add shrimp, scallops, crab legs, mussels, fish & veggies! I highly recommend anyone to come eat here. Everything we have ordered has been amazingly delicious.

Some of the best menudo around is served here. We've also tried the chile verde bean burritos, enchiladas, and tacos dorados (crunchy tacos). They were all very good. Never a bad experience here. Our take out orders are always prepared correctly, and they do provide good, friendly service.

My parents rave about the chile relleno burritos here and I accompanied them the other day but since I don't like chile rellenos I ordered a chicken sope. After waiting about 20 minutes for food in a relatively empty restaurant I received a beef sope. Not wanting to wait longer I just ate it. It was okay. The beef wasn't seasoned well and the sope was soggy. The beans and rice were also bland. I told my parents I don't think I would ever go back after that experience. And when we were done eating we had to ask the waitress for the check even though we were clearly done for a while. They have a very small parking lot but there is street parking. And on a positive note, their chips and salsa are excellent! And their only saving grace besides the chile relleno burritos I can't try.

Best torta al pastor ever!!! Speak both English and Spanish. You can dine inside or order to go. Their horchata comes from a machine, but it's still good. Their salsa is absolutely marvelous, but you gotta watch out cause it's a slow burn. I poured the whole canister on my torta, and about five seconds after finishing the spice kicked in and I couldn't get it to stop! Then I did it all over again the next time haha. Great place

This place is so good. I got the super burrito with carnitas. It was huge. It has guac and sour cream. The carnitas were perfect. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. I will definitely go back because the staff is very nice. They have a taco special on Wednesday and Thursday.

Ordered a Pastor Torta, the size was huge!! Good taste, we also ordered a Pastor Burrito was small on size and ok. The green sauce was good. The older lady super friendly and nice!!!Fast service too!

My favorite taco joint anywhere around. I've been here many times for over a decade. It doesn't disappoint and continues to better itself. Of course the $ 0.50 tacos was ehat drove the traffic up high. Even at current 75 cents, it's a damn healthy good lunch. Paying only $ 3.20 includes bottomless restaurant made chips dipped in their saucy salsa + 4 double wrapped tacos snd lemon tipped ice water. Torta is also superb. Ask for avocado and you actually get slices, not those squirted baby puree other taquerias like to push. Parking is crampy but there's always streetside. Beer is served here.

Delicious. The handmade tortillas, guacamole, seafood cocktail, tacos (especially carnitas) were fantastic. Very friendly and fast. Great value.

Great Mexican restaurant. Food always tastes great. The best salsa in town. My favorite is the salsa verde. A taqueria that makes great tacos. Always enjoy sitting down for a meal here.

Pretty tasty. Modest place but clean. Service was good. As usual, after I ordered, I saw what everyone else was having and wished I'd ordered differently. But when in Delano, this will be my go-to spot for homey Mexican food.

Quality of food was terrible. The food was so salty that it was inedible. The waitress was friendly. However the lady accepting payment, who i can only assume was the owner or manager, was unapologetic and rude. She did nothing to try to resolve the issue or take the uneaten food off of the bill. Poor customer service. Years ago, this was a very good spot, however the years have not been kind to this business. Needless to say, my family and i will not be returning.

The food has changed over the years. Definitely one of the most grossest places in Delano. Enchilada sauce tasted like tomato soup. The owners wife is so rude too. Never again will I come here. This place doesn't even Deserve 1 star

Great place for authentic Mexican food. The place doesn't have large tables but you can use several tables to seat a group. The tortas al pastor are good, the flautas de pollo are tasty and their green salsa make everything much more tasty. Their super burritos are also awesome, highly recommend them! Also a great restaurant for the family!

5 stars for a good clean Taqueria , friendly staff , good chips and salsa that has a kick , 75 cent tacos Wednesdays and Thursdays, and these are above average street taco size. El pastor and carne asada hit the spot nicely! Food is also plated nicely , and not just crammed in a basket. Good spot !!

They no longer have the .75 cent tacos! the menu has been adjusted and has been a little more expensive. The food is good just not how it use to be when they first started. BUT they have a great SUPER BURRITO!

The carne asada burrito from here is still supreme for me over anywhere and I usually get it from here when I am in town.

My favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at. The wet burrito is delicious. The shrimp Alfredo is 10/10! I haven't been here in months and I came back in to have dinner and the food and great service is the same. Thank you!

It's a great choice for those needing something between, say, Fresno and Bakersfield (a dead zone). Extremely good service and a clean environment, along with really good chile verde, make this a perfect place to stop. Prices are reasonable, "on street parking" is plentiful, and it's not far off the freeway. Altogether, a teriffic place for lunch.

I found hairs on my food not one but two , I'll never consider going back . All they did was offer me another plate of food and were even rude and stingy on that . Bad food and bad customer service .

Great Burritos! Fast service, called in 15mins before I arrived and my order was ready, really nice lady at the counter.

I Used to be a regular customer but after the horrible service I received not only once but multiple times . I will definitely not be eating here again. The waitress that was supposed to be taking care of us was extremely rude , it was impossible to communicate with her because she would cut us off even though it was obvious she was not busy. If you're looking for a place to eat comfortably, I definitely do not recommend this place. (Despues de el servicio que eh recibido varias vezes en este lugar ya no regresare . El servicio es muy desagradable.)

Food was alright. Asada was bland and tough. I ordered a torta and the bread was dry. The chips were stale and cold. The salsa was watery. Waiter brought me the wrong drink and was chatting in the back with other workers the whole time. I was waiting for a refill on my drink for about 15 minutes and eventually I just got up to get it.

Place is way overhyped. Too bad I can't put half a star. You can get the same type of food at a much better quality, price, and cleaner setting in other places in this town. I'm supposed to write a paragraph long review just to have it posted, but I took the liberty of taking a picture that sums up my experience at this place. See for yourself. Food was mediocre. Prices average from $4-10. The prices for the tacos have gone up as they were once $0.75 to 99 cents each on Wednesdays and Thursdays; $1.99 on other days. Service was pretty sluggish, we waited nearly an hour for our food and there was only 3 other people at the restauruant. So.. it wasn't busy. There are other places that have better mexican food. Just sayin'.

The Carne Asada breakfast and food is great. My compadre and I are always given great service and the owner is very courteous . Highly recommended the Costilla breakfast or Carne Asada.

It'a a very humble place, with a delicious home-style flair. I ordered the steak ranchero,and it was served with rice and beans, hand made corn tortillas and I added a side order of fresh guacamole. It was delicious, the portion was more than generous. I highly recommend this place.

Only giving 3 stars, because the food is always delicious but the customer service was bad. Don't go when the two younger girls are working. They're awful.

CED: Yo 75 cents for a taco on wednesday and thursday. this place is pretty good and the food fills me up nicely. the enviroment is pretty chill and the bathroom is okay. i forgot what i got but it was good. my friend got a wet burrito and that looked good also.

I eat here every Monday,almost everything I have had is really good,as is the service.This place is catching on with people as well because it is always packed and now during lunch there is a wait.

I do like the food just didn't like,how they messed up dine out orders twice. They also once dine in,they had the nerve to argue with me. I am regular and to be treated like that. It makes not to go there anymore.
