Everything to know about Resorts World, opening June 24 at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip | Eater Vegas

"Immersing diners in Mexico with Día de Muertos nods and floral bursts, Ray Garcia’s ¡Viva! serves regional Mexican favorites — I found the chicharron and garlic mojo are called must-orders — and offers both an indoor promenade patio along the District and a people-watching patio overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard." - Eater Staff

Stopped in for a quick dinner. The food was good but there were a few issues. First of all when you walk in there is a strong musty smell that overpowers the taste of your food. Secondly there are no fountain drinks, everything is a can or bottle so of your thirsty your bill will be expensive. The nacho plate was good but the chips are way too small. They force your hands into the plate because the chips arent big enough to pick anything up. Lastly was price. For what I recieved, it was good but it was too pricy for the amount we received.

Tacos are my love language, I will travel for good tacos... look no further, now the place isnt fancy looking, but the colorful tiles, and music and crosses add to the aesthetic. The waitress was kind and happy, the salsa omg is delish, ugh and the guac is fresh and chunky. I got 3 steak tacos, comes with rice and beans and I piled it on my tacos and inhaled all 3. This place is perfectly simple and the food taste like home and comfort. Please come... buen provecho

Great little Mexican place. Everything is made fresh to order. Tacos are traditional street tacos which were all good. Had asada and carnitas. The enchiladas also freshly made and were on par with what expected. Good salsas as well. Mexican soda selection also outstanding.

Google
By far one of the best tacos places around! Fast and take cards and cash.. tacos always on point! Top 5 taco places around.. if you love street tacos this is the place to go!

Pricey for what you get. Food good but won't be rushing back like the place off highland in Dunedin

I order this place on uber at least once a week. Tacos are amazing!!!!! The sauce is soooo soon good. One thing I will say is this place can or has been inconsistent with my same exact order I get every week. Sometimes tortillas aren't cooked sometimes they are. The sauce spiciness changes with red sauce but none the less it's always very good. I will order 7 tacos and only receive two small sauces which sucks with how much I'm spending along with cilantro and onions so i end up ordering extras.. sometimes I'll get alot sometimes I barely get any. Started ordering it on the side and it's been perfect everytime I do so. I will and do recommend this place over any other taco place in our area!!!!

Viva Mexico is a pretty unassuming place sitting in a rather shabby strip mall with an interior that defines modest. This isn't the kind of place you go to for the atmosphere because there isn't any. No, Viva Mexico's charms are all on the plate and the value for money you get for it. The chicken enchiladas with rice & beans were $10.99 for a massive amount of food I couldn't finish. 12oz Mexican beers are only $3 or $13.75 for a bucket of 5. There's a wide variety of the typical taqueria fare including Al Pastor that looked promising. There's plenty to explore to eat...just don't have high expectations for the surroundings you're eating in. Concentrate on the food. That's where the value lies.

Yelp
Love coming here after we visit clearwater beach. The chicken tacos and cheese quesadilla are amazing. The people working here are also very nice and accomodating.

Yelp
Damn good Mexican food for a great price. Only one server that was working her butt off. After living in Chicago for 20+ years, I have had the opportunity to eat excellent Mexican food and this place holds its own. Sorry no pictures as we ate quickly but we had: Pollo Quesadilla Asada Burrito Tacos: -Pastor -Chorizo -Ground Beef Again, DEFINITELY a great place for great food, I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Read all the reviews and decided to try the place. It was a bit out of my way, but will "suffer" for good Mexican food! They were not open on time, and I almost left. So glad I didn't. Food was great. Could not decide what to order, so I got the Chicken Enchilada with Green sauce and one street taco-carne asada. Rice was moist, too. Street Taco was one of the best I've ever had. The corn tortilla was delicious, and the steak was really good. My Enchilada was very good too, and they served it garnished with lettuce, tomatoe, avocado slices, and cheese. I am not a bean person, therefore, I got my beans to go and fed them to my hubby. If I go back to Clearwater, I will definitely eat there again. Oh, I believe this restaurant is family owned.

Yelp
So cute and colorful. Yummy tacos I had a chicken, beef and chorizo tacos. So delicious. And a mandarin Jarritos. They have ices that I get get when I travel to Mexico. It was very authentic. I recommend highly.

Yelp
This place is FANTASTIC . It's serves great authentic Mexican food. We stopped in just for a quick light meal after the beach. My boyfriend got 2 tacos - beef and brisket and I got 2 tacos as well - pollo and asada, with rice and beans on the side. After we tried our tacos we couldn't resist and had to get more!! Also both sauces (salsas) were amazing I had to add both to my tacos b/c it was hard to decide We are from Chicago and have tried good authentic Mexican food, but nothing like this! Will come back when we are in the area.

Yelp
Terrible food and customer service. Their carnitas tacos were absolutely disgusting with all fat and no actual meat. Their queso dip that's $8 was a extra small cup and we also ordered fajitas and no tortillas were provided . We called and they said they do not provide tortillas with the fajitas. Do not order from here. HORRIBLE!!!!!

Yelp
Well the Uber Eats driver was a liar and a thief. Said food was delivered, no ring camera notice, no food, and sent a blacked out photo! Fraudulent! So pissed this happened!

Yelp
Best tacos in Clearwater! Excellent selection of tacos, great prices and friendly staff. Highly recommend the chicken and carnitas tacos... some of the best I've had. There's a store joined to the restaurant, which was great for picking up a few snacks and desert.

Yelp
I was looking forward to a street taco. Eeek. The restaurant smelled like tar but I felt bad leaving because the girl who greeted me was so sweet. So I reluctantly ordered! The meat was tough and not seasoned very well. It was just gross. The restaurant was decorated so cute but it smelled so bad I lost my appetite. I got my food to go and only took a few bites. I couldn't get the tar smell out of my nose.

Yelp
Authentic, amazing tasting food. The place is small but the service was great (might have been the owner) and they really cared that we had an enjoyable meal. I had the Shrimp Diablo and my wife had three different tacos. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Really fresh, fast & delicious tacos. We have tried a lot of local places and this is by far our favorite.

Yelp
AMAZING enchiladas!!!!! The food is authentic and excellent and the staff are SO nice! We've been grabbing take-out during the pandemic, and every order has been totally on point and delicious. We have quite literally gorged on the fantastic homemade chips, salsa and guacamole and the wonderful enchiladas.

Yelp
If you are looking for something fancy, keep driving. This place consists of about 6 tables with folding chairs, with a counter to order. I could not find a menu with prices listed. Despite all that, our meals were great. After a seemingly long wait, our chicken tacos, done the authentic Mexican way, were brought to our table. A malfunctioning refrigerator had us going to the Mexican market next door, (co-owned) for drinks. The home-made chips were great. The green sauce was a little spicy. (I had tears in my eyes). The place is not a showroom for foodies, but close your eyes and chow down. It tastes great.

Yelp
Amazing authenticate Mexican food. Best tacos and sopes I had in the area. I will definitely go back!

Yelp
Wow had a plate chicken enchiladas with red sauce!!! Excellent had some tomatoes, avocados, lettuce Rice and retried beans awsome. Then the owner brought us some tamales without asking and they were homemade and fresh. Highly recommended

Sydney M.

Yelp
Wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled up to the place, it didn't seem like much of a restaurant when I got inside but WOW is the food amazing. The most authentic tacos I've come across. I ordered from them 4 days in a row because I couldn't get enough. If you love steak tacos then this is the place to go.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Best Mexican food around Clearwater. We have tried most of the Mexican restaurants in the area and this by far is the go to for authentic Mexican tacos. Small indoors seating but very clean inside and well packaged take out. Super friendly folks as well.

Beth A.

Yelp
We ordered take out to take to the beach. We ordered carnitas tacos, carne asada tacos and when I asked about flautas, the young man who I assume was the owner said they weren't on the menu, but he could make it for us. Everything was SO fresh and delicious!! The flautas were some of the best I've had, not over fried, with a nice tender shell and tasty chicken. The rice and beans that came with the flautas were really good too. Try this place- you won't be sorry!!

Yelp
I'm my regular search up and down Drew Street, I'm always on the lookout for new Mexican restaurants/taquerias. (See my lists of 45+ reviews of most authentic Mexican restaurants in North and South Pinellas, Tampa/Sarasota). The turnover of closings can be high, but it's not long before another place pops up. So when I spotted Taqueria Viva Mexico one evening I made sure to get back within a few days to check it out. Turns out it's been open about 3 months, and shares an open doorway with the Viva Mexico market right next door. The atmosphere of Viva Mexico is about as basic as you can get...one big room with about 6 tables and open kitchen. The feeling is definitely spacious/empty, but I'm assuming like many Mexican places on Drew, the startup building may be low budget, but they put the focus on food. The 6 tables are probably plenty as during my time there there was a pretty brisk takeout business happening. Note: bring your best Spanish (or a dictionary) with you, as the menu board is all in Spanish. Fortunately, the owner's English is probably better than my weak Spanish skills. Not to fear though, with some finger pointing at menu choices and with the owner's help, we navigated the menu together. I didn't have much time to spare, so ordered 3 tacos....carnitas, pastor and campechanos, and they were delivered up promptly. At the most basic level, a great taco requires a fresh, house-made corn tortilla, so I was encouraged to see Viva Mexico has this covered, along with the standards of onion, cilantro and limes. The carnitas was moist, but fairly bland. But the pastor and campechanos (usually a combination of beef and pork) were both very flavorful and fairly moist. But any dryness was quickly resolved by some of the most rockin' salsa I've ever had.....a creamy smooth, light green mix that I'm guessing was guacamole-based. Lots of flavorful heat and a perfect match for the mix of flavors in the taco. I hope to get back soon to check out the rest of the menu, but with a pretty good showing on the tacos ($2/each, which is pretty standard throughout the Tampa region), I'm hopeful the rest of the menu is as good. I'll definitely update my review after future visits. Atmosphere: 2 Service: 3 Food: 4 Value: 4

Yelp
Place is amazing if you're looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant. Food is the best in Clearwater with a homemade taste. Staff is awesome and will make you feel like at home. The owner, Jose, is awesome!

Yelp
This is the real deal. Best Mexican food I have ever had in Florida. The two ladies prepare everything homemade including the tortillas. There we three of us and every single dish from the sopes to the menudo was to die for.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican food. We just relocated here from California, and always in the look out for a good Taqueria. Fresh tortillas, and the green sauce is out of this world. They just gained a customer for life

Howard A.

Yelp
The tacos and enchiladas were excellent. Everything is homemade and good quality. There is a bit of a language barrier for a non Spanish speaker . The decor is plain but clean. Right now, during the Corona shutdown, it is very good for take out.

Yelp
Great little place with authentic Mexican tacos (soft, fresh corn tortillas filled with your choice of meat- bistec is my preference- cilantro and onion. I also had a bistec sope (thick corn shell with refried beans, lettuce, Mexican cheese, and your choice of meat) which was also tasty. I added avocado and some salsa also. The interior needs some decorating, but the food is great and authentic! It seems to be run by a family, which adds to the charm.

Yelp
Awesome tostadas and tacos, try the bistec tostada and the pastor tacos. Grab a bag of homemade tortilla chips and fresh salsa to take home with you. Excellent quality authentic Mexican fare with a small convenient store attached to it.

Clarita S.

Yelp
The worst Mexican food ever, got food to go, ALL ended up in the garbage disposal, $28 worth of horrible food, leftover reheated food. I know how Mexican food taste like, I lived in California for 44 years and traveled to Mexico several times. So far this area does not have restaurant worth your money.
