Overall this was a great experience! The chips and salsa were complimentary and tasty! The staff was friendly! The Birria tacos were delicious! The variety of individual tacos we ordered tasted great, and they definitely were not stingy on any meat filling. The only downside was the chicken enchilada plate - it lacked flavour (the enchiladas) and the sauce was a little sour. But overall, we would definitely go back!

Love this spot, affordable and delicious. Seating is limited BUT the spot wasn't so busy. We got the nachos with al pastor and two modelo, total was under $40. There's a bathroom too.

A hole in the wall Mexican spot in UWS the food was super fresh and service was amazing and friendly. The menu was just the right size where I wasn’t stressed to pick what I want. Not a lot of tables but you see so many take out orders being produced. Highly recommend!

This place is the Mexican O.G. - been in the same spot for about 25 years now. It’s looking a little rougher around the edges these days, but they are still slinging large portions of tasty Mexican dishes at very reasonable prices. They always have at least a bit more in the way of variety than most of the newer Mexican Taqueria type spots. Try the Alambres for something a bit different. They also have cecina beef which is a personal favorite. On this particular day, I went for the Torta con carnitas. If you are hungry and in the mood for Mexican, you aren’t going wrong here.

I recently visited Taqueria Y Fonda La Mexicana in Manhattan and was blown away by their amazing food. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious Mexican meal. But what really stood out to me was their Cactus Taco. It was a work of art - the combination of tender cactus, tangy salsa, and fresh cilantro on a warm corn tortilla was simply divine. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and I found myself savoring each one. This is definitely a must-try dish for anyone who loves Mexican food. I got the enchiladas with green mole sauce. It was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place for unpretentious, filling, and cheap Mexican food versus other places in the area. The restaurant itself is small, so try to get it takeout or delivered instead of eating in. But if you do eat in, the staff is very friendly and accommodating so I'm sure it will be a good experience. The prices are what drove me to eat here. I was galled by $20 enchiladas without rice or beans at a place on the same block! For $17 you get three enchiladas, a lot of rice, beans, a little lettuce and tomatoes, chips, and three tortillas on the side. 10/10 portions with 10/10 taste.

Just arrived in New York and came to this place near where I’m staying from the great google reviews. The owner was so friendly and chose a sensational Mexican beer for me. Lovely local friendly atmosphere with fun Mexican YouTube playlist. Amazing fresh food and good helpings, and very reasonably priced for New York. Would recommend to everyone and even come again!

I used to love this hole in the spot's burrito back in 2014, so I had to make a visit this year when I came back to NYC. I got the giant burrito with grilled beef. First off, the burrito is HUMONGOUS-- definitely good when you're starving. Overall, the burrito was decent, but it was lacking some of the flavors from that I had remembered from back in 2014. Service was fantastic-- super friendly and fast! Ambiance was extremely casual.

Ordered online from Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana for delivery lunch (i.e., after 1 PM when they open) an Alambre with "Combination" for the meat selection and the 3 for $10 tacos deal with Al Pastor. Had never heard of an Alambre before so was interested to try. First, the tacos were basically Al Pastor meat in what seemed like packaged tortillas, surprisingly without any cheese or sour cream - which I expected to be in the tacos since the order option specified only "Item removal" for those ingredients, not a separate option to include them. Plus, I specified red sauce, but received some green sauce. Second, Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana's Alambre was supposed to contained the chosen meat, bacon, salad, guacamole, onions, cheese and green peppers over a fresh homemade tortilla. It arrived with extra tortilla chips and assorted grilled meats with chewy, rubbery bacon. I'd describe this Alambre like a fajita without the meat sizzling. Again, the 3 underlying tortillas seemed like identically packaged ones. At best, this dish was unspectacular. Given my experience and other Mexican restaurants nearby, my order from Taqueria y Fondo La Mexicana was not worth the money and I'm not ordering again from there.

Much of our order was messed up. Food did not taste all that good. Location and interior was good. But I won't be back

Had the chicken tacos which had a perfect char. Yummy! Portions are generous and the food good. Restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall and the prices match. Food is tasty.

Please note: The accompany photo is pretty lousy, I'd blame the camera but that wouldn't be fair to Samsung since 95% of the photos I take are pretty lousy, and the other 5% are atrocious. But I hope you get the idea. This is a hole in the wall mostly take out place with just a few tables inside and a few outside. I should give it a 5 as a hole in the wall. But overall, even when compared to a tablecloth place, it's a 4. The complementary chips and tomatillo and salsa were god. The chips reminded me of chips I'd had at a roadside place on the way from Oaxaca to Monte Alban, though the ones in Mexico were still warm and had a slight sheen from the oil that hadn't totally dripped off. But these had the same blisters. Maybe store made? Really good. My Al Pastor Burrito. MY AL PASTOR BURRITO!!! Yes. The tortilla was freshly made, then and there. Slight flakiness. Rice and beans were fine. strings of cheese were nice. The pork was superb. I ate a piece of the pork separately first, and it wasn't dry - the guy at the griddle was paying attention. And i'm not sure how he did it, but he got a nice char on it. Just delicious. I asked them to add jalapeno slices, thinking they'd be like the ones at my deli that come pickled in a jar. Nope. Sliced fresh jalapeno. Kind of a big difference in kick between pickled and fresh. It was very welcome, like a cup of strong coffee at 2pm after having only had decaf all morning and early afternoon. And size? Big. No, bigger than that. I'm guessing 25% to 50% larger than any other burrito I've ever had. Enough for lunch AND dinner. Though to be fair, my lunch partner, who had a beef burrito, ate the entirety of his. I think he's getting ready to hibernate.

I ordered the carne asada torta for takeout, but I have also eaten in there before. It's a small no frills hole in the wall Mexican place. It's fairly authentic and the prices are very reasonable. My torta came out to ~$9. It's not the best Mexican food that I've ever had, but it's fairly good for the cost. The people at the front are friendly and the service is quick.

I recently moved to the area and needed a go-to casual Mexican spot, and came here since it seemed to be a popular place that fit the bill. There are a few tables both inside and outside and I sat outside, but I might opt to sit inside next time since while the food came quickly, I do think the server kind of forgot about us after we got our food and we didn't get water refills or the check until we flagged someone down. That said, I really liked my food and the prices are super reasonable and worth returning. The meal started with fresh tortilla chips and a salsa verde - always love restaurant chips. I ordered a plain cheese quesadilla since I didn't want too big of a meal, and the portion size was just right for that: two corn tortillas (corn is better than flour in my opinion) stuffed with not your usual greasy melty cheese but a firmer white Mexican cheese (akin to halloumi), plus a generous serving of salad with some sour cream and a different cheese on top. The quesadilla cheese had a great bite to it and you can honestly get the plain or veggie quesadilla without missing the meat. It would be helped by some dip or salsa, but there was enough salsa verde left from the free chips that did the job. Hoping to return to try the classic tacos and burritos, plus the really affordable tortas! My dining partner got a burrito bowl which was a sizable portion and looked super promising.

Im sorry but i have eaten from mexican food trucks that are better than this place. its a shame stake tacos a C level chicken tacos a B level and the Nachos forget about it . No guacamole no jalapeno C level just bad . last week i had Pancho right next to this place and it was 10X better. Sorry i have to be honest for my follow yelpers

Popped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the number of vegetarian options on the menu (including tortas!). The bean tacos were really filling and the homemade tortilla chips hit the spot. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating and everyone there was so nice :)

It makes me sad to write this review. I went to college by Columbia, and like most campuses, it's surrounded by a food wasteland. That's compounded by how hard it is to find good Mexican food in NYC (I'm from LA.) But Taqueria was always a beacon in the wasteland of "Havana Central FKA West End," "Pinnacle" (RIP but not missed), and "V&T's." Unfortunately, quality in the past couple years has just deteriorated, especially of the tacos. Onions aren't even grilled anymore. Tortillas often dry or soggy, not in between. Plentiful and tender chicken has been replaced by dry and spare cubes. It's just not good. What happened? I hate to say it, but Taqueria has become diarrhea.

They forgot part of my order and the food was just ok. I didn't even bother finishing the meal.

I got a black bean and cheese quesadilla, and it was SO GOOD!!!!! The cheese is so fresh idk what it is but it's so fresh & good! Great flavor and everything. The wait was kinda long because it was so busy! I would definitely get this again & recommend this place.

The food was mediocre at best. The ingredients were poor quality and the preparation was inadequate. The burrito did not have the ingredients proportional arranged. Great disappointment!

Taqueria Y Fonda has less than 4 star! What in the world is going on? We should riot! I worked at Columbia and the staff at Taqueria should be given essential workers classification. Perhaps students are a tough crowd, and I think the low rating may not reflect how much this place rocks for no-nonsense street mexican that makes you smile and feed your body and soul. Price increased recently but I have come for 12 years and it was overdue. Maybe some tacos could vary (never had that experience myself) but the cecina burritos remains hard not to dream about when you are hungry on campus (and could probably make multiple meals), chips and guacamole and others are still flavorful and you have plenty other options to explore when you already had it 3 times this week. you can't beat it when you want lunch on a weekday and can walk there, can't beat it for a picnic to enjoy the North of Central Park, can't beat it to enjoy the ambiance of street in the summer. If you are curious try it, you can't lose much and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. If you are familiar and read negative review with anxiety, try again to reassure your heart that this place has not come down. We need you Taqueria and now it seems you need more of us to speak :)!

Underrated!! Probably because the ambiance is LACKING but I went here for a drunk dinner once and it was fire. Would go again sober!

little hole in the wall. I unfortunately have only tried this once, and it was for the late night, leftover app, so perhaps my experience wasn't accurate from the other reviews. The food wasn't memorable, and just felt like a mush and slopped together in a 1 quart container. Granted I had no say in what I got as it was leftovers, but didn't love the flavors.

The food is fresh and authentic Mexican food. Service on point and very quickly! Ambiance I haven't been to the restaurant yet but I will soon especially now that Spring is here...we ordered thru Uber Eat or Grub! Deliciouso try it!

Been eating here for years, both on-premises (pre-pandemic) and delivery. Over the last year, the price of the vegetarian burrito has gone UP while the amount of vegetables in it has gone DOWN. A couple years ago, I would have rated them a 4 or 5.

Phenomenal restaurant - food is all freshly prepared& delicious & authentic Mexican food - not TexMex! Great Quesadillas w homemade tortillas & superb tortas & margueritas original & homemade soups!! Looks like a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with not too much seating space, but the food and service is great. The cooks and servers were both really friendly. The burrito is way worth the price, especially since it comes with fresh chips and three kinds of salsa. All the fillings were perfectly cooked and was really filling. If I lived a bit closer, I would definitely order in from this place often

Come Hungry Leave Happy! This taqueria boasts a large menu offering all different types of meats and Mexican cuisine that aims to please. When you look over the menu and see all these amazing options for an affordable price I just don't know what to get. I opted for the basic chicken tacos and the giant burrito with chicken. They are not kidding when they say giant they really mean giant. The tortilla is stuffed it to the max it barley closes and all the ingredients inside taste extremely fresh and not greasy. The tacos where pretty big too and were very good. We also got the fresh tortilla chips!!! this was a huge plus most restuarants don't serve true tortilla chips and this place does and they are awesome! From a salsa standpoint they have a red,green, and tomatillo all fresh and spicy for me. In short: - Delicious Fresh Food - Big Portions (Giant is Giant) - Great for Delivery

I've been passing by this place for several years, but finally decided to stop by one night. It's a small hole in the wall authentic restaurant. The owner was even the one at the grill taking our order and making the food. I opted for the chicken taco (with no cheese), which was on the pricier end. $4.25 for one taco seems a bit much to me but I guess thats NYC for ya. As for the actual food, it was delicious. The chicken tasted fresh and like REAL chicken. It was a little under salted but I added a bit of salt myself and it was perfect. I got 3 tacos but honestly 2 was also pretty filling. They give a decent amount of chicken per taco, and two tortillas in each for extra security for your taco. Their side sauces also added extra spice to the taco if you desire that. Overall enjoyed my meal and the service!

I keep forgetting to complete my review for Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana solely because I have never really checked in here, I've always ordered delivery. Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana was recommended to me as one of the best taco places in the UWS, but to be honest, I haven't found better tacos in NYC at all. Since I haven't had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant itself, I can only attest to the quality of it's delivery food. In about a year of ordering from here, I have settled upon my standard order from Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana. Whenever ordering lunch I always make sure to order (at least one) Oreja Taco, Tripa taco(s), and a horchata. Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana was my first experience ordering a pig ear taco and it absolutely blew my mind. The pig ear is slowly cooked to reduce the ear to a tasty gelatinous mass with crunchy ear bones to add textural balance. Continuing with my strange meat taco adventure, I decided to order the tripe. The tripe tacos from Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana has tripe that is deep fried and and lightly salted. The tripe offers a great bite and contrast to my usual order of oreja and I always make sure to order them together! I have had some other dishes from Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana, including the Giant Burrito. It is as massive as all the other reviews have said. Definitely a better deal and significantly better tasting than what you can get from Chipotle. The horchata at Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana is also pretty good but if you order it delivered on a hot day, it might be a bit watered down. I recently had the Carne Enchilada lunch special (in addition to my tripe taco... lol I'm so full). What initially looked like some really dry meat, turned out to be expertly seasoned and quite tasty. I ended up cutting the pork into strips and wrapped them into the tortilla. So far, I have not had any disappointing food with Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana and will continue to explore their menu more. The one disappointing thing with Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana is the lack of group ordering support. For instance they don't mark what the tacos are on the outside of the foil, often leading to a guessing game with most of my coworkers. If they start writing the type of taco on the outside, it would definitely lead to a decrease of mistakenly eaten tacos in my office.

Amazing tacos. The service here is super excellent. The server was super nice and very helpful. She took her time to explain three international people what the difference in the dishes and the meat were. I wished I would have gotten her name to give her credit. The food was delicious. I got the enchilada meat tacos and the carnitas tacos. The tacos come with grilled onion which adds a richer flavor to the food. Their salsa is good that compliments the tacos. Definitely a place to come when you are in the area.

I wish I had a better review for this place bc I live in this area, but my experience here was honestly a mess. I had a train to catch and wanted to grab some quick takeout with my boyfriend before heading out. I phoned in my order for 4 tacos (2 chicken and 2 pork) and guac. When we arrived 15 minutes later as told to, the food wasn't quite ready yet which isn't a big deal so we waited outside. When the food was ready the guy at the cash register rang me up and after charging my card I noticed the order total was $40. Even with manhattan prices I stopped and was so confused at how I just got charged 40$ for 4 tacos and some guac. I asked the guy whether 40$ was my total and he was like oh you ordered 2 burritos right? And I was like no 4 tacos. So he charged me for someone else's order. Still not a huge deal, just refund me and charge the correct total. Then what I assume is the manager comes over and tries to figure out this whole mess and he tells me the difference between the two orders is three dollars so he'll just give me 3 dollar bills. WHAT????? First of all I don't want cash it's covid.. So I said okay no please refund my card and charge the correct total. That took a whole 15 minutes because they didn't know how to use their machine because it was new. My actual order total was supposed to be $29. I'm a really patient person but the service just pissed me off. If I didn't notice I was overcharged and speak up they wouldn't have done anything. And AGAIN IF I didn't speak up about being offered 3 dollars back that's what I would've gotten. Honestly ridiculous. And I was in a rush on top of everything. By the time we left I was so hungry I was just happy to finally have food and WOULDVE even gone back if the tacos made up for the charging mishap. But the chicken was dry, the pork was decent, the guacamole had literally no lime or seasoning at all. I couldn't even finish the chicken taco. I honestly didn't enjoy the food at all, tacos were dry and guacamole had no flavor. Probably won't come back here and unfortunately wouldn't reccomend it based on my experience.

Very disappointing. I got three al pastor tacos, and the meat was dry, tough, and overcooked. I also got chips and queso, and the chips were very hard and dark brown (overcooked), and not even salted. The queso barely tasted like anything and was super thin and watered down, my friend didnt even realize it was supposed to be queso, she just thought it was some weird sauce.

What a jewel! Best chicken tacos I've ever had - anywhere. Don't know how they spice and marinate the chicken but it's out of this world. But almost everything is phenomenal - and well priced. Jorge welcomes you, Rigo on the grill, $5 authentic margs. Burritos enormous and delicious. Try the chicken and/or chorizo. Main courses are uniformly delicious whether chicken chipotle, enchiladas suizas, or Queso Fundido. Try the Chile en Nogada for an unusual treat. Even the nachos are phenomenal. And so, so fresh. Decor is basic but the food is anything but Enjoy!

Inexpensive, simple and delicious Mexican food provided in ample proportions by friendly mom and pop owners. This is truly one of the great gems that make New York such a wonderful place to live. While dining at the restaurant is not recommended, simply due to the fact that they have very limited space and the atmosphere is extremely simple. We order take out from this place, and have been doing so about once a week for the past year or so and never had any complaints. Wonderful food at a great price, what's not to love?

Dude; I don't know. I rounded up because I like their staff and the idea of them existing in my bland-ass neighborhood. But... Maybe I'm a brat because I was raised in The Mission? My Mama's cooking doesn't help, either. I'm just not excited by this option. Good: Huge burrito servings for $12.95 each. Tender carnitas, spicy (but weirdly sweet) chorizo. NOTE! Their Vegetarian Burrito is one of the only I've seen with freshly sautéed broccoli, carrots, peppers, and more; great option. Fresh tortilla chips and great salsas. Delivery has always been timely and courteous, as is the quaint in-house experience. Not so good: Mushy rice and beans create a grey mass in their burritos. Added to the stringy mess that is Oaxaca cheese and way overdone flour tortilla, and this item is a far cry from the slick Mission Burrito; way too messy to eat intuitively. There is also no Salsa Fresca/Picadillo or raw freshness in any of their dishes, so they're all a bit dull and murky. Sorta the opposite of what I seek from a taqueria. Finally, I wish they included more chips per order (9 a person? Lame.) Not the best, but a great value. I'll likely keep ordering forever.

Another foray into Mexican cuisine in NYC! As in previous reviews on this topic, if you have lived in Mexico or the American Southwest, you are not going to find the same Mexican cuisine you enjoyed in those locations here in the city. It doesn't exist. However does that mean you can't enjoy a meal here from a Mexican restaurant? No you can. It can be tasty and filling. As long as you understand this is not the divine food you get in, for instance, New Mexico where people ask for Christmas on their food: meaning both red and green taco, enchilada or salsa topping. It's not Southwestern cuisine. Which is why I order our Chile powder from the southwest and make my own sauces. Now for tonight's meal. Carne Enchilada and Camerones Diablo. The portions are very generous! Plus nice hot fresh tortillas come with your meal. Soft and delicious. The carne enchilada was not what one expects an enchilada to be. Plenty of meat but not tightly rolled and smothered with sauce & melted cheese. Filling and good sized, yes. Three little cups of sauces came with the meal to add heat and spice. The Camarones a la Diablo is an entire meal in one. Shrimp, salad, beans, guacamole, rice. And yes, big. The whole meal is plenty for two unless you have a huge appetite. Tasty? Yes. Not overly filled with shrimp but PLENTY of food! Enjoyable, yes. Authentic Mexican...that does not exist in ny. Not that we have ever found. But if you put that aside ( and how many denizens of ny have lived in the southwest, so what can they compare ny Mexican to, ) a nice very big flavorful meal. Seems a bit more expensive than it used to be but so is everything. A lot of food for an acceptable price. Delivery was very fast,,the food hot and fresh tasting. Having eaten from this restaurant before, still a good deal. Recommend you try them. We would not order the carne enchilada again, just too different from a traditional enchilada for our taste ( but full of meat) The shrimp dish definitely yes. If you have lived where authentic Mexican cuisine is the norm, alas accept it's not here in the city. But don't let that stop you from trying out this restaurant.

I have to say, I've passed this hole in the wall about a hundred times, but never ordered nor went in. There is a dearth of Mexican restaurants in my neck of the woods. I saw this place delivered to my place. We decided to give it a whirl. And boy were we happy! I got a giant burrito with shrimp. Comes with rice and beans and lettuce, queso fundido, get a small amount of guac for extra. I also got mine with shrimp. It was a little messy, but the tortilla was very good and overall two thumbs up on the burrito. My husband got a breaded chicken torta, and he was very happy with the selection. I'd say for a dive, they're a bit pricey, but in fairness I did get a premium protein. They didn't skimp on the shrimp though. This is more like 3.5 stars. I feel like I need to try something else to bump me to a 4 star review.

I've been exposed to a lot of Mexican food; good Mexican food. The tacos at this joint is good enough for me that I will walk almost a mile from my office to this place, no problem. Taqueria y Fonda was the original Mexican spot by Columbia town. When I first started working here, I was almost immediately given some great advice about it: -Only go here for tacos and beer -Only eat in This holds true even to this day. The tacos are amazing - especially the (deliciously crisp) lengua. For the area, they are the most authentic place for them. The other places in the area maybe more fancy looking and offer gringo style fish tacos.. but that's now what I look for in a taco. I want the good meat and I want to good salsas. This place gives me both. That's where my relationship with this place ends. For my other Mexican needs, I go elsewhere.

If you're looking authentic Mexican food, this is it! The carne asada tacos are delicious packed with flavor. The tacos were $4.25 each, which I thought was a bit pricey since you can get that for about $3 elsewhere. Other than that, id be back whenever I'm in the area.

One of the best spots in NYC for Mexican food that isn't a taco cart/truck. The place is definitely a hole in the wall and has the feel of being in the back of someone's home. But make no mistake, the burritos are gigantic and hearty. If you order the burrito to go, you could definitely split that into 2-3 meals. It's probably one of the few places in Morningside Heights that is both great in terms of quality of food and in terms of the price/value.

Panties Dropped. If you follow my reviews you know that "panties dropped" meaning that this was an awesome place. I went in last Friday for lunch to get some tacos and get some air from a busy day from work and I fell in Love. It is a small mom and pop hole in the wall kind of place but those are always the best. As an born and raised Los Angelenos where tacos are part of the oxygen we breathe, my standards are high. It is expensive to get one taco for $3-5 dollars but honestly it was worth it. When dining in you get home made chips and 3 home made sauces. Those were so good. I ordered the beef and chicken tacos and they were huge! They had to give 2 tortillas per each taco in order to hold it. So with the servings and the extra tortilla it was like you had 4 tacos. The amount of meat and Pico they put was overloaded so it makes you full and like I said you can make another taco from the extra stuff! I was obsessed that I ordered 2 different tacos and a horchata for take out and I also had my panties dropped the next day. The servings where the same and it was so good. I had the chorizo and the Al Pastor. The horchata was both refreshing as a drink but sweet for a dessert. I love the lady who works there because she hooked me up with all the salsa and I loved the salsa there! The photos I have shared are from my second experience and I must say I wanted to go back the next day for the third time. I definitely recommend this place and this will be my new go to that I must have at least once a week. The burritos are also huge, the size of a new born baby. That's a popular item a lot of others get and the next thing I will try. So happy I found my taco place and I will pay that money for those tacos and the servings.

Was craving tacos tonight and found this spot on yelp! I now have my go to taco spot in the neighborhood! Delivery window was 45-60 minutes but delivery came in about 30 and was warm and delicious! The tacos were huge 2 definitely made a full meal. I did the carne asada and al pastor and both were delicious! Everything was fresh! The chips were amazing as well! Look forward to trying more from their menu!

What a jewel! Best chicken tacos I've ever had - anywhere. Don't know how they spice and marinate the chicken but it's out of this world. But almost everything is phenomenal - and well priced. Jorge welcomes you, Rigo on the grill, $5 authentic margs. Burritos enormous and delicious. Try the chicken and/or chorizo. Main courses are uniformly delicious whether chicken chipotle, enchiladas suizas, or Queso Fundido. Try the Chile en Nogada for an unusual treat. Even the nachos are phenomenal. And so, so fresh. Decor is basic but the food is anything but. Enjoy!

How disappointing. Ordered a giant burrito with fish, because their grilled fish is amazing. Well it came, and I wouldnt call it a burrito. It was more like a gyro. Not even closed and wrapped like a burrito. But the real issue is the fish was RAW. When I called the restaurant I was told, "all our fish is grilled." Well yeah, I know that it's supposed to be. I worked in a seafood restaurant for years and this fish was utterly raw. Really disappointing. Feel like the B team was working.

If you're in the mood for tacos any day besides Tuesday's and you're in the neighborhood, it will get your taco cravings satisfied. Ordered a Carne Asada & Fish (Pescado) taco. I mentioned, w. "everything", that didn't give me extra toppings aka Jalapeños & Rabanos(Radish). On the saucy topping end you get 3 variations of their salsas; 2 greens and 1 red. Gimme the heat! I preferred the red one as it had the most flavor and had the biggest kick of spice. I also had to limit myself from eating the whole bowl of their fresh fried tortilla chips, which are complimentary. Win for the chip and dip gang! Drink wise- I gulped down their sweet refreshing Horchata, would gulp down again.

Outstanding place. Great food, music and beer. Truly a shame that I discovered it so late. Will be coming here all the time from now on.

I'm quite happy that I found Taqueria Y Fonda. It's enjoyable, clean and attractive. I had Vegetarian Burrito, but I really think that you can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu. The team is super helpful also. Certainly will come back to that place always.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have had in the city. And I have try a lot of places but this has been by far the best. Nothing fancy just straight amazing food. As close as it gets to eating a place in Mexico Great service, delicious tasting food,
