Yes, one star. I decided to go to bow market after work with a friend on weekday, to grab a drink and some snacks. I ordered 3 crispy beef tacos to share. However, the tacos are so disappointing with very little ingredients and very bad look. If it tastes good, I will give it a pass. For $7 a piece, please make some efforts.

The food was good and fresh. I got some tacos for myself and friends and they came out quickly and tasted great, lots of meat, and nice crispy shells with some delicious salsa.

Google
Delicious breakfast burrito. It’s been hard to find a breakfast burrito that checks all the boxes like this one does. The homemade sauces have a beautiful depth to them. I will definitely be back for more.

We enjoyed the entire experience from start to finish. We ordered 2 birria tacos which came with two well made salsas. The beef was perfectly marinated!! Definitely eat here!

Google
The birria tacos, birria Ramen and birria quesadilla all was good. The portions need to be a little more. It kind of pretty but worth it. Staff was great. Only available Thursday and Saturday. Worth a try

I ordered the quesa-birria for $14. What i got was a tragic and soul crushing quesadilla. The meat weakly marianted and the broth to dip it in was unflavored and seemingly watered-down, it had the color and consistency of black tea. The boy taking my order wore a condescending smirk on his face through the entire process of mishearing both my order and my name. And also while telling us they were out of carne asada and rice for my sisters order. The entire experience was unfortunate it felt like a humiliation ritual from start to finish.

Google
I couldn't decide between the birria ramen or the crispy beef birria tacos, but I ultimately decided to go for the latter. It took around 5-6 minutes to prepare and was almost $7 for a single taco, which was a bit expensive. However, the taco wasn't bad. The tortilla got a bit soggy once it was filled with the hot beef, so it didn't truly live up to the "crispy" in its name. I would say it was more al dente. The consomé came in a small cup and was served hot. It was the right amount of saltiness. I would come back for the birria ramen since I'm still curious how that tastes.

Yelp
This place is located right in bow market. There is no seating inside the restaurant but plenty of seating options around the market. I got the vegetable burrito. The burrito was very filled and you get your moneys worth. It was a classic burrito tasting fresh and juicy. The spicy sauce is a must need as the burrito itself did not have much flavor. The staff were very friendly but we did have to wait 30-45 mins for our food. They did have the vintage market happening at the same time which is understandable on why they were so busy. Overall, it was a good place did satisfy my hunger

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while now because it's hard to find good Birria tacos near Boston! This location is inside Bow Market in Somerville so it is very small. There are places to eat outside in the actual market but not inside. Food: We got 3 quesabirria tacos with consomé. The birria was juicy, flavorful, and soft. The consomé was warm and surprisingly not too salty. I was able to drink the consomé on its own. The tortilla also crisped up nicely but did get a little soggy 7.5/10. Price: It was $17 for 3 tacos and the consomé. This is way too pricey for me to buy this again. They were also a bit skimpy on the meat so it was not worth the price 6/10.

Yelp
Fast service, reasonable price, piping hot delicious birria bowls! Also nice to order outside on a hot summer day. Limited outdoor seating and very popular when the weather is good. Very salty.

Yelp
Tacos never miss and don't forget to pair with the homemade salsa!! The carne asada is my favorite but the variation of birria is so amazin Always great service even when they are swamped on the weekends.

Yelp
I had such a wonderful experience at Taquisimo last week! I had the pleasure of speaking with Chef Hiram, who walked me through his story and some of his favorite dishes on the menu. Taquisimo is a fairly unassuming storefront in Somerville's Bow Market and has some of the best Mexican (Tijuana) dishes I've ever had. There are 4 or 5 counter seats if you prefer an eating experience surrounded by the perfectly powerful scents of birria - or Bow Market has a number of seating options surrounding their outdoor fireplaces. I chose the former option and was able to try some menu favorites! My top 3 orders: Birria quesadilla: SO good. I am a big quesadilla girl, and this one did not disappoint. The pickled onions provided a fresh touch, and the cheese was perfectly proportioned to the birria filling. Birria tacos: The fresh consommé set these apart for me. As Hiram instructed, I squeezed the fresh lime on top of the tacos and then inside of the small cup of consommé (which was simply fresh broth from the birria cooking process), and it was one of the BEST taco experiences I think I've ever had. The tortillas were perfectly crispy, as well - just make sure not to wait too long to eat them, as you'll want them to stay hot! Churro & Mexican Hot Chocolate: I'm grouping these together, since I think they're a must to pair. Make sure you break open the churro RIGHT AWAY while it's still warm! Such a perfect winter dessert. Dipping the churro in the hot chocolate is just an all-time flavor combo. Thanks to Taquisimo for such a great experience - can't wait to return next time I head over to Bow Market!!

Yelp
Birria just tasted like cinnamon. Salsas were fresh but lacked flavor and seemed water downed.

Yelp
Been twice now - best Birria Tacos I've had in the Boston area and arguably the best Tacos and burrito in the Boston area. Great flavor, great meat to cheese ratio, and they're actually using quality tortillas which is rare around here. Hands down they have the best selection of salsas (something common in Southern California and Mexico but non existent in MA). I'd put that up against my other local favorites Taqueria El Amigo in Waltham and Taqueria El Amigo - which says A LOT if you know how highly regarded and busy those two are. I commend any place in Boston trying to do authentic Mexican - too often it goes unappreciated. Locals here tend to prefer grabbing a rubbery steamed burrito with bland chicken, tons of rice, and BS like broccoli and zucchini at one of our many local chains who specialize in that. I encourage anyone who is concerned about the less favorable reviews here to look past it and give this place a try (you can kinda tell those were written by people who aren't familiar with birria or food prep). My only criticism would be the portions are pretty small for what you pay (tacos like these are often a dollar or two less at other places and the burritos are pretty small). That said I understand this is an expensive place for a relatively new restaurant to set up shop.

Yelp
Went here because our friends from the west coast said this was a good taco spot....it was just ok. It lacked a lot of flavor. I had high hopes but at last, still in search for the best tacos. Being from CA, I have not found a really good taco spot. by the way, we got the tacos. For 16 dollars for 3 tacos-we expect more. needs more flavor.

Yelp
For a restaurant with the work Birria in it I expected better tacos ... Place was hard to find but I called and got directions .. Quesadilla where 8/10 Birria tacos where 3/10 I saw a lot of uncovered meat which looked gross hence the 2 stars

Yelp
Went in with high hopes but was disappointed in all aspects. It took 10-15 minutes to get our order in. With only ordering Mexican hot chocolate and churros we assumed it would be a quick turnover. Unfortunately this turned into us waiting 45 minutes watching those who ordered meals after us get their orders first. During that 45 minutes we saw 2/3 kitchen staff touch food with a their bare hands, no washing in between, including the lady who handled the money.... Yikes. After reminding them of our order they finally started it? The "authentic" establishment ended up pulling out a couple frozen churros from a Goya bag and the hot chocolate seemed like it was just Abuelita's hot chocolate tab. We were only given one order of the churro despite ordering 2 but at that point it wasn't even worth bringing it up because of how long we already waited. I feel bad to leave this review but it was a bit ridiculous of an experience and there are many authentic Mexican and Latin American restaurants in the city that are organized and make their whole menu in house.

Yelp
Incredible birria tacos. Among the best tacos I've had in Boston. Would absolutely be worth the stop.

Yelp
food - i got the crispy beef birria tacos it was mid beef was dry taco shell/wrap was stale service - good they were nice small inside not that much room but there is outdoor seating
