Fill Up on Biscuits, Wings, and Tacos at These Atlanta Gas Stations

"This counter-service taqueria chain is located inside several gas stations around Atlanta. The menu includes everything from burritos and tacos to tortas and tamales. The queso blanco on the menu is pretty basic, but it makes for a quick melted cheese fix while on the go. The nachos are the move, which come loaded with shredded chicken, queso dip, cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapeños." - Beth McKibben

Google
These tacos blew me away! Don’t be scared by the fact that they are in a gas station. The tacos were so fresh, authentic, and delicious. They started making my tacos only after I ordered them, so they came out super hot. The tacos are loaded in savory corn tortillas with incredibly juicy meat. I tried the brisket and carnitas, which were both fabulous. If someone told me they came from a sit down restaurant, I would believe them without second though. Looks can be deceiving, so stop by Taquito Express the next time you need some gas.

I didnt check to see how much the pupusas cost, but this is crazy $5.50 for a single pupusas thats super thin yeah no thank you

Google
Do not let the gas station hole in wall vibe fool you. This place is one of the best Mexican joints I’ve EVER been to. The empanadas are another level good, best I’ve ever had and the tacos and burritos, I mean this spot is so legit I can’t believe they don’t have a full restaurant.

Google
I went to get a Breakfast Burrito, the 2 employees were eating while working and seemed like I was bugging them because I wanted to order something, the burrito was dry and tasteless, they were rude. I don't recommend this place at all.

Google
To be a hub in the gas station I could surely see myself going to a restaurant if they had one! Had the breakfast taco, three chicken and three beef all consistent and delicious! Good portion size. Also this was 6am for tacos, that were ordering over the phone and piping hot once I arrived for pick up. Friendly, fast, and muy Rico!

Google
Don’t be confused by Taquito Express being in a gas station - these might be the best tacos in all of Atlanta. Absolutely phenomenal birria taco and at a great price (the special is 3 for $14)

Google
Very friendly & accomodating staff. Decent chorizo breakfast burrito, especially for $5. Red salsa was OK, nothing fantastic but good spice; not bland. Place had an 88 health score & it appeared they were not super careful about food storage or temps, but I didn't get sick so that's a point in their favor.

Google
OMG! This place is wonderful. The food here is absolutely amazing. Whether it's the tacos, the burritos, the sandwiches or etc it's all good. I loved the burritos they are seriously filling. If you want to be full 3 tacos is where it's at. For me I'm getting some Al Pastor, some chorizo and finally some pescado. All I can say is I love it. Make sure to get in early for lunch or you'll have to wait a little bit but trust me it'll be worth it

Yelp
Bro!!! The little hole in the wall is located inside a gas station in this upscale neighborhood. I mean there's a Whole Foods across the street lol. Nothing pretentious about it and I mean nothing pretentious about it!! If you don't have an appreciation for really good food like this in these types of settings then I don't know what to tell ya. This is Just straight up bombass Mexican food! This is evidenced by the steady stream of my people coming in and out to get the same authentic grub I was looking for. You know it's GOOD when this is the case. They got tortas, tacos, quesadillas, burritos and quesabirria tacos too with consomé and probably more that I left out. I showed up around 12:30p on a Friday at the height of lunch time and they were busy but they churn out the orders in such an efficient manner that you don't wait but a few minutes for your food. I ordered the torta de milanesa de pollo and two tacos de quesobirria and I literally was transported back to the flavors of any street food stand in Mexico. Highly recommend, easily five stars!!

Yelp
Had to make a run to Costco & my normal hotdog and soda didn't fill me up a quick Yelp search showed me this spot so I decided to stop by. Giselle S. didn't lie when she said they don't speak much English, no worries as this gave me a chance to practice my Spanish. It is truly a Mom & Pop place, with several ladies working here. It's a small place inside the BP gas station, a hole-in-the-wall type joint, don't let this scare you away as sometimes these can be your best places. Just be aware that you will need to go inside the gas station as it doesn't have its own separate entrance. Got the Barbacoa Tacos & Al Pastor tacoes to go. Fresh to Order so I had to wait a bit, but the ladies were nice and friendly so the time passed by quickly. This seems to be a popular spot with the construction workers who are working on a new apartment complex going up down the street. The prices are Fair and the food isn't bad so i can see why they are popular. There's a small seating area inside but you are probably better off getting this to go, there is also a Rreal Taco location down the street from here do yourself a favor and save yourself some money and get better tacos here instead.
google avatar

Giselle S.

Yelp
Awesome tacos, salsa, tortas, quesadillas...everything. Super inexpensive. In the BP gas station. They don't speak much English but are very nice. I usually order online. Everything is always fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Just had some of the best tacos from this place a few hours ago. Given the restaurant's hidden nature, I feel compelled to write a review. Location - Don't leave if you can't find it. The place is literally inside a gas station. Go inside the convenience store and turn left. Environment - You don't go there for dine-in. It's a takeout restaurant. Food - Absolutely divine! I had 3 tacos for $10! Chicken, Steak, and shredded beef. The ingredients are so simple. A lot of well-spiced meat, some cilantro, onion and lime. These were some of the most flavorful tacos I have had in quite a while. Price - Compared to other nearby places that I have been having lunch from, this is hella cheap. That said, it's still $10 for 3 small tacos. Service - Early mornings they are super quick and efficient. If you are in the area, this is an absolute must-visit!

Yelp
Delicious. Situated in an unassuming gas station, little English spoken, but did a carry out door dash order, ready when I arrived, some more green or red sauce on ice in little cups if you want extra. No frills, delicious, fresh tortilla (which is the best). Especially for the price, I'd definitely come back for this hidden gem! No wait, breakfast burrito with chorizo was delicious. I'll be back!

JasmineSassy T.

Yelp
I am allergic to cilantro, and I specifically asked for no cilantro to be added to my tacos. I also added cheese and did not have any of this granted through my DoorDash order. This was the only lunch window I had so now I have to be hungry until I get home for dinner. There obviously are no quality control checks here.

Jordan F.

Yelp
Best tacos in Atlanta! Authentic, rustic, fresh, quick service and well priced. Swing in!
google avatar

Gretchen S.

Yelp
Solid breakfast burrito! Orders egg, chorizo and potato. Also comes with beans and cheese for a very filling start to my day. The green salsa was flavorful too. Friendly smiles! I'll be back!
google avatar

Lauren O.

Yelp
I heard that this place was amazing so I finally made a trip to visit. Luckily I ordered ahead on door dash because there were so many people in line. It was crowded with about 20 people inside and my order was ready and waiting for me. I walked in at around 12/30 on a week day lunch. I went with tacos so I could try multiple toppings. I got one chicken and one veggie. They had sauce and a lime in the bag with them. They were definitely good and the price was right -6$ total! They were also bigger than expected. That being said they were nothing amazing / extra special that I couldn't get elsewhere. I'd been wanting to try this place a while but because they're not open on dinner or weekends it's took me a while to get to. If I need a quick cheap lunch I'd definitely come again but may stick to taqueria del sol for nicer tacos or taco veloz for Mexican tacos.
google avatar

Zachary F.

Yelp
Breakfast burrito with egg, refried beans, and cheese was delicious! The green salsa was a great touch with good flavor (mild). Would be 5 star if not for the debate I had to go through to get my order placed, it's clearly on the menu but the server kept asking if I wanted the beans on the side or on top, she really didn't want me to have them inside, lol. Plan to return to try more off the menu!

Yelp
I had a craving for nachos and so I did a search on yelp. While this place didn't have many reviews for the nachos they did have positive reviews for their food. When I did a search I realized that I had passed this place on many occasions. It's actually inside the BP gas station, not next to it as I originally assumed. Now being inside a gas station doesn't make me jump at the opportunity to visit but seeing the good reviews I gave it a try anyway. This restaurant is on its own side in the gas station complete with a counter, kitchen, tables, and a drink station. Being that it was lunch time there were a few tables occupied by those on their lunch break and there was one person in front of me. I perused the menu briefly looking for the nachos and settled on the grande nachos with no meat, to go. It took about 5 or 7 minutes for me to receive my food and then I headed home to enjoy. The nachos smelled delightful and they were very tasty. They give a good amount of toppings and they were not stingy with the cheese sauce. I was enjoying my food so much that I forgot I got the salsa and never even touched it. I would definitely give them another chance.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this spot while pumping gas and to my surprise they serve up some great tacos! The line was so long that there was no way I was going to pass it up. The tacos were hot, fresh, and made to order. They are served simple with just cilantro and onions (just the way I like it). The staff was pleasant and friendly. You simply walk up, place your order and by the time you finish paying your food is ready for you! Go visit ASAP!
google avatar

Hilaire Y.

Yelp
Their customer service is ehh okay, but the food is divine! It's quite expensive, but I'll say it's worth it! I had to stop going because they were taking all of my money! Lol
google avatar

Jordyn W.

Yelp
Came here right when they opened. The tacos were delicious!!! My favorite is definitely the lengua taco. The meat is so tender and flavorful, and the tacos were served hot and fresh. The restaurant is located inside the gas station convenience store, but don't let that turn you away! These tacos are authentic and taste better than a lot of other taquerias around the area! Will definitely be coming here more often!
google avatar

Noemi T.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to my carne asada quesadilla. They hardly put any carne asada or cheese and they filled it up with veggies. Pretty disappointed.

Yelp
I ordered 2 Tamales de Puerco (pork) & 2 Tamales de Pollo (chicken). They are well-wrapped (not falling apart) in corn husks, steamed well (shiny outer...not dry or crumbly), and good flavor. The only negative is the chicken tamales were a tad dry...not crumbly, just a bit dry; so maybe they need a tad less time in the steamer. Presentation was good, basic but exactly as you would expect...not messy. If you know how to eat tamales, you'll either want to ask for extra salsa or (like we always do) have your own favorite salsa. I ordered via Uber Eats and they were hot enough to be edible without having to reheat them when they arrived. I'd maybe recommend they wrap the tamales in foil to keep them hotter...since the extra steam would actually help the tamales, unlike other food in foil. I was skeptical when seeing this place open in the B.P. Gas Station at Ptree-Indus/Jhns-Ferry, but they're the equivalent of a good taco stand with the added benefit of Uber Eats. Good spot, nice tamales and I give it kudos for participating in Uber Eats!!

Yelp
Taqueria Taquito Express has a small menu consisting of breakfast tacos, burritos and regular tacos and burritos - oh and its located in the back of a gas station! The first time I wanted to check this place out, I wasn't really prepared to dine in a gas station, so I found somewhere else to eat. Knowing the setup, I came here on a Saturday morning when I had a craving for a yummy breakfast burrito. I ordered one with eggs, chorizo and potatoes, as well as some cheese dip - $2.99! Both were good, the cheese dip is a little runny so grab lots of napkins. While they have several tables you can eat at (which I did the second time I came here), its nice to have somewhere to run in and get food to go, in case you are still in your PJs! I give this place 4 stars because it's good, fast, and very inexpensive!

Adarsh P.

Yelp
Very good quesadilla, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the salsa verde is very flavorful. The salsa roja isnt bad
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
We ordered a burrito and torta, each with al pastor. The al pastor meat was not the most flavorful that we have had (reminiscent instead of a mild chorizo), but both items on the whole were very good. I enjoyed the soft, griddle-toasted bread and fresh sliced tomatoes on my sandwich. The only thing I would do next time is hold off on the mayo, which was a little off-putting. Otherwise, service was friendly and fast, and prices were super affordable. I am eager to come back and try the breakfast burrito!
google avatar

Yelp
Located in the BP gas station but don't let that deter you. The tacos are very authentic and SO good. Very reasonable prices also!

Yelp
STOP, DO KOT EAT HERE if you appreciate good fast food Mexican...This ain't It!!.. Unfriendly service, had to almost beg for an asada breakfast burrito and after eating it, I felt sick and wanting my money back..$8 for this bull$&%#!...WAY TOO MUCH SALT..probability to hide the fact that it is the cheapest cut of beef they can buy full of Grissle and Fat...I dont eat pork but could taste pork all it becuase they cook everything on the same griddle. This is probably what made me feel nauseas. Then precooked eggs mixed into heavy salted beef( asada) on a griddle with pork juices...YUK, YUK YUK!..Then top that with salty and watered down salsa and you have a recipe for high blood pressure and Nausea for $8.. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO PUT THIS IN YOUR BODY AND START YOUR DAY THIS WAY???? NEVER AGAIN, I WOULDN'T FEED THIS TO MY DOG!!! This is a TERRIBLE representation of Mexican food and they should be closed down!!.. For those that claim to like this place ( in a Gas station mind you) and give it multiple stars, you will probably eat anything or are hung over or you only have $5 for food..or all of the above...I REPEAT, YUK! DONT DO IT..JUST DRIVE TO BUFORD HIGHWAY INSTEAD 3 MINUTES AWAY

Yelp
This is a taco stand located INSIDE the BP gas station at the corner of Johnson Ferry Road and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. I know I know, you are thinking about the conventional wisdom that says do not eat the taquitos/hot dog/egg roll...etc at gas stations, well, you'd just have to forget that for a moment. This place is totally legit. I ordered three tacos (Lengua, barbacoa, and al pastor) and a pork tamale. The tacos are absolutely delicious with perfectly cooked, tender meat. Lengua is my favorite......it's one of the best lengua I've had in Atlanta - tender, juicy, flavorful, and slightly gelatinous. The tamale is good, not great. The masa and meat filling were tasty, but I think the masa is a little too thick. Being a taco stand, you could see almost everything that's going on in the kitchen. I can tell you, some of the things they do in the kitchen is not the cleanest. I'm not suggesting other restaurants are cleaner....but out of sight, out of mind.....Also, the ambient is casual (it's a gas station!) so do not bring your date here.
google avatar

Yelp
This gem of a place is unassuming and completely unexpected being located in a BP gas station convenience store. The menu is limited and simplistic so ordering isn't difficult and, allows the staff to really focus on the food and service. I ordered an Al Pastor Burrito but quickly switched to a Lengua (beef tongue) when I noticed it at the bottom of the menu. I hadn't eaten a lengua anything in years and I was told by the woman (owner?) taking my order that I'd made a wise choice. She was right. The burrito was delicious and really hit the spot. You would call it on the small side though compared to the monster sized burritos you'd get in California or Queens, NY. The flavor of the beef tongue just popped and outshined the other ingredients (as it should). I would only suggest that they use less of the salsa/sauce that they put in the burrito. It's tasty but has a bit of a mayo flavor in such a large quantity. I ordered a horchata as well and found it to be delicious and perfectly balanced. Not too sweet and just enough cinnamon. All around a great meal and worth every penny. I'll be back to try the tortas.

Li L.

Yelp
Little place tucked away in BP gas station. The taco tastes really good and comes in just the right size. You better speak Spanish, which is a good sign.
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
Some of the best food i have ever had! My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and we each got a Torta al pastor and an empanada. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got the mango juice (YUM) and the chips and queso. All were unbelievable. It is in the corner of the BP gas station so we ended up getting it to go since we didn't want to sit there. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
So this spot REALLY is inside the gas station convenience store. I had to stop if for nothing else, to taste tacos with pretty good reviews, from a gas station. Mission accomplished! Its n the left when you walk in the door and is understandably a small spot, with a handful of chairs and tables so you can eat inside. I went late afternoon and there wasnt many people there so easy to find a seat, but the meat fillings were hanging around and probably not cooked so recently. The fryer was off so getting fried fish taco was not an option. The lady helping me wasnt overly friendly, just efficient I guess, and rather matter-of-factly. No prob. I cant recall which tacos I ordered but I think one was chicken and the other pork or beef (sorry I cant recall). I can say that they both tasted good. Flavor was there, but wished there was more toppings like lettuce/tomatoes. Maybe that isnt authentic but I still like the freshness of having crisp on top. Anyways, I thought flavor was good and I understand why this spot has some good reviews, however I probably will not go back. Even though I am a foodie, I do like to watch my health and I just didnt think the actual meat fillings were the best quality. I did get a few bites of only fat and/or gristle which just made me spit out my bite- not a compliment to any establishment. I know cost is a factor but I would rather pay a bit more and get better meat , plus I have to say, I didnt think the taco prices were THAT cheap to justify the meat quality. But if you want pretty good taste (just know it comes from all that cheap fat), convenience, and dont care about fat/gristle (heck it fills you up!), then this place would work. I think there is much better options out there to grab a good taco.

Yelp
They offer a real authentic Mexican cuisine at a great price. I highly recommend checking them out, You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
They finally got rid of that terrible employee !! I have been back many times since and had nothing but great food, great service and need very satisfied!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I have worked im the area for over a year, and always passed this place saying I'll go there one day. I finally try it, and now I'm just mad I have been missing out. The food is very authentic. They serve a decent another of food for a very cheap price, and they're quick with making it as well.

Yelp
Ordered for delivery via GrubHub. First time ordering from here and it's great. I got a carne asada burrito, chorizo taco on corn tortilla, and chicken taco on a flour tortilla with sour cream and cheese. All were very flavorful and larger than expected. The burrito has rice, pickled jalapenos, pico de Gallo, sour cream, cheese, meat, beans and lettuce. While the carne asada is flavorful, some bits of grizzle and fat are in there. Not an issue for me but maybe some would like to know about that. The chorizo taco was my favorite. Not too salty. Of course it has grease because anything with chorizo is a bit on the greasy side but that should be expected. The chicken is on the mild side when it comes to flavor. Definitely not bland but also doesn't pack a punch. I do wish the tacos came with a lime wedge. Red and green salsa were also tasty and included with the order. Overall, I'd totally order from here again and would visit in person.
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
Very poor customer service. Didn't even order food. Kind of hope it closes. No parking. No space for kids/families. Please go here if you're single without kids.
google avatar

Loreal D.

Yelp
OMG! This place is DEFINITELY a diamond in the rough! Since I go to work at 11am, I stop by to grab lunch on my way in. I love the fresh toppings, well seasoned meat selections, and the Horchata (as well as the Jamaica) is AMAZING!!!! Keep your Moe's and Chipotle... Taqueria Taquito Express is easy on the pocket and DELICIOUS!
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
Great spot attached to the BP. Extremely friendly staff, great/ delicious food, reasonably priced and very fast. I'll definitely eat here again. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Vivi C.

Yelp
This was a random find but a very lucky one! We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and even though this place is tucked away inside the BP gas station they had a constant stream of customers the whole time we were there. I got a lengua taco and an al pastor taco with a small horchata and everything was delicious! From watching other people order, their tortas also seem very popular. This place is a hidden gem with great prices and even better food. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Skyler H.

Yelp
I had turned my nose up at this place for the longest time because it was inside the BP gas station and I regret it! The tacos are SO GOOD and SO CHEAP. They're really basic- they've got meat, cilantro, and onion, with lime and green salsa on the side. With so few ingredients, you've got to make sure the meat really packs a flavorful punch, and it absolutely does! My favorite tacos are the carnitas. They're super flavorful and are clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. I highly recommend checking this place out.
google avatar

McKenzie H.

Yelp
Stopped by this morning and finally got to try a breakfast burrito. I had the Ham, Egg, and Potato Breakfast Burrito. The potato was a little soggy but overall it was pretty good. It is served with some kind of homemade hot sauce which was awesome. This place is a quick and cheap option for breakfast, especially on a Saturday morning when every restaurant in Atlanta is packed for brunch. They're also open early on weekdays which is great when you have to be at work before 7am.
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
This place is inside of the BP and right down the street from my job. I always get their tacos de lengua and they are awesome. My coworkers always like their burrito and carne asada tacos so it's definitely my go-to place when I forget my lunch or want something fast and authentic.
google avatar

Chef William S.

Yelp
The best burrito in Atlanta!!! This place is located inside a convenience store near the Lowe's in Chamblee and it is well worth a visit. The breakfast burritos are flavorful and a healthy size portion. The barbacoa burrito is the best I have tried and is well worth repeating. The Al Pastor pork is spicy and tasty and really gives the patron a traditional flavor. The ladies who make the meals are very hard working and professional. I would give them 10 stars if possible. Keep up the great work, ladies!!!
google avatar

Jenny E.

Yelp
I know what you're thinking... gas station tacos?! But they are sooooo good, cheap and fast! I always stop by when I'm starving and on my way home from running errands. And, I have a gluten allergy but both the carne asada and grilled chicken tacos are gluten free!

Yun Yun L.

Yelp
Love love love this place! This place is in a BP gas station just near by our place. The food is very authentic and delicious. We come here very often to have a bite. One of the best Mexican I ever had in Atlanta. My favorite is beef tongue (langua) taco!!

Art V.

Yelp
Disappointing. Reviews were better than the food I ate. I don't care that it's in a gas station like a Slumway sub shop and is crammed in as is the seating. No flavor in the beef chicken, or chorizo tacos. Health inspector was there that day and didn't look happy either (92 score). Won't bother to go back it's nothing special.
google avatar

Ryan Y.

Yelp
Authentic tacos that were overall pretty decent but nothing out of this world. I had the chorizo, pastor, carne asada, and lengua tacos. Double wrapped in corn tortillas that are hot off the plancha. The chorizo I was expecting to be house made, but it was just scooped out of bucket that may have been purchased at some store. The pastor and carne asada were flavorful but a little dry. The lengua was the best, very moist, tender, and flavorful. I'd come back to try a few other items. $2 a taco ain't a bad deal.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
I was passing through for work and needed a quick lunch. We stopped at the BP for gas and as I walked inside I saw the counter with a sign stating they had fresh tamales. I was intrigued, so I walked over and checked out the menu. I decided on the carne asada burrito instead of a tamale. It was outstanding! I got beans, rice, cheese and salsa verde on mine. Total wait time was around 2 min. It also came with a small cup of hot sauce that was fantastic as well. I wish I lived near because I would be in there A LOT!!!! Don't hesitate , it is great!!

Jamie G.

Yelp
the food is amazing and for a great price! i wanted to try something new and i'm glad i did!

Yelp
I just ordered a carne asada burrito after the first 2 bites of steak I see that the majority of my burrito is ground meat filler! Completely disappointed and I feel cheated out of my money. I won't be buying from them again l

Yelp
Simple.... Off The Charts Good. If you haven't gone... Go... If you've gone... Go more. Who knew the best burrito I have had in Atlanta would be at a BP gas station

Yelp
Breakfast Burritos from a spot inside a gas station? Let's check it out! Great spot for breakfast burritos... I have been having a hard time finding a good breakfast burrito but this spot does the job. I got a chorizo, egg, cheese, and potato burrito. The tortilla was grilled, the chorizo was a little burnt but it still had good flavor and with all the other ingredients it blended well and really wasn't an issue taste wise. I also got a couple of carne asada tacos, which were pretty good. The meat had good flavor but the tortilla was a little greasy, no big deal for me... The ladies at the counter were friendly, so I got pretty good service. Overall, I thought I good a pretty good deal for the quality and taste of the food, with the breakfast burrito around $3 and adding cheese for extra .50 cent, the taco for $2 which are a decent size. I will definitely be back, next time to check out the fish tacos...

Yelp
WOW! This place is great! I just happened to stop in to grab change from the cashier and noticed the niche restaurant in the corner. I was actually thinking about grabbing lunch somewhere and figured I would check it out. The service was great. I was immediately greeted as I glanced the menu. I ordered two tacos. The chorizo and carne asada. Hector recommended that I get the corn tortillas. These tacos were AMAZING! Authentic Mexican taste. They gave me the option to add cheese, jalapeno, tomato, cilantro and salsa verde. I told everyone at my office about this place! They prices are great as well. They will see me often. Cheers! Best little secret in Roswell for real Mexican!

Yelp
Been coming to this place almost weekly. This hole in the wall is hidden gem within the BP gas station. It has great authentic tacos at a very reasonable price!
