Taquito absolutely nailed the Mexican dining experience. Vibrant, popping flavors, crisp textures, and that perfect heat that wakes you up and keeps your mouth watering long after. The crispy birria tacos and the taquitos, topped with fresh pico de gallo, were perfectly crunchy, juicy, and packed with flavor. And the chicharron pollo was unreal — bite-sized chicken tenders coated in bold, spiced up breading, served with lime and an arsenal of wild, flavorful sauces. Definitely not your basic hot sauce lineup. A lot of Mexican spots ruin everything with poor-quality meat and heavily processed stuff that makes you feel like garbage after. But at Taquito, the meat is gorgeous — fresh, tender, juicy, and somehow you leave feeling light enough to run a marathon, not crawl into bed. I had a field day here. Go with a bunch of guys, order everything, and share. You’ll thank me later.

My favorite place in Lakewood for a delicious flavorful dining experience. Every dish is prepared with unbelievable flavor and care. I always get the rice bowl with lamb and skirt steak both are incredibly tasty. They also offer multiple seating areas both outdoors and indoors upstairs and downstairs.

LOVE this place. Taquito is always 100/10. It’s a place that is going to always be a favorite of mine. Their rice bowls are perfection. Food is always fresh and ready on time. Love that they are open late and it’s such a great place for a good protein filled meal. Wish they had a location in miami!

My wife and I went in not knowing what to expect. I mean kosher Mexican food? We’ve never had it before. But boy, we were in for a shock. $26 for a burrito? WORTH IT! That burrito was so big I had to take half home for later, I mean this thing was HUGE. $15 for churros? WORTH IT! I was on a post dessert high for like 30 minutes. Basically what I’m trying to say is the food was phenomenal. That’s it, I’m done. Review over. Why are you still reading this? Go get a burrito from Taquito!

If you have ever wanted to try authentic Kosher Mexican food, there is only one place to go, Taquito in Lakewood, NJ. Mexican flavors as not just spicy, but have lime, jicama, mole and more. When I go with my family, these are the must haves that we always order. First up is the Nachos which has tortilla chips, short rib chili, and guacamole with mango salsa. I, myself, am a big fan of their soups. Both the Mexican Chicken Soup, which is made with chicken, onion, cilantro, lime and tortilla chips and the Birria Ramen Soup, featuring short ribs, egg, ramen, onion, and cilantro. Both are sure to warm you up and are extremely tasty and filling. Next is chili. You NEED to order their chili. My favorite is the short rib chili with tortilla chips. It’s the perfect blend of meat, beans and spices. We also tried something we haven’t had before called the Crispy Birria which was deep fried shells with short ribs (you can have different meats) topped with pickled onions and cilantro. Another must have is the Chicharon Pollo which is crispy chicken bites which come with some lime to squeeze on top and three different sauces. These are like I guess crispy chicken skins in texture but they are actually chicken. We always order some wings. They have several on the menu, some hotter than others. This time we went with the Habanero Wings. They aren’t the hottest on the menu, but neither are they the mildest. Lastly, we ordered a breakfast burrito. This burrito includes sliced avocado, hash browns, chorizo, and scrambled eggs topped with chipotle mayo. It’s like the perfect bite. The service is quick and the food is amazing. It’s not a big restaurant but there are two floors. If you stop by, tell them Yossi sent you.

Kosher authentic Mexican food. Very interesting menu. We ordered a wide selection of items and enjoyed all of them. Chicken soup might have been a bit too spicy. Rib on bone was delicious. Atmosphere/waiter service is lacking but not to the point of keeping me from going back.

Stopped by Taquito for the first time, and was super impressed. Great vibes with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was excellent, to my knowledge you can’t find Mexican food like this in Lakewood. Looking for something with some “spice “ give it a shot, and make sure to try the lamb!!
