I can't express how much I appreciate and enjoyed this food and Danny the owner for our reception. Not only was he quick to respond and help us out but he accommodated our wedding reception with the Borria pizzas. People loved them more than I thought. I knew I liked them but I made a huge mistake by not ordering enough and I didn't get any. Many many people asked where the catering was from. They loved the street tacos. This is a hidden gem and deserves a try. Pricing is very fare too. -PJ

The service was awesome! However the food was not so much. The salsa was incredibly watery. It was the worst we have ever had (including store bought) and a real disappointment. This recipe needs to be revamped quickly, especially when this is often the first thing customers taste! The enchilada was ok, but had queso on it rather than a side which impacted expectations. The tacos were meh, except for the carne asada. The toppings were made for it! It’s the only thing that won the show to be honest. That and the service were worthwhile! The margarita was ok, just didn’t have a lot of flavor which was disappointing at $12. This was a repeat theme throughout dinner. Never saw a margarita tower on any menu so this might be gone? Probably a great place to visit late at night while visiting Revel or Guitar and Cadillacs, but not something I would drive out to visit again.

This place sucks. $4.99 is a decent deal for chips and queso, but the chips were small, stale, and come with no refills. As other reviews have said, the salsa has nothing going for it and the beans appear to be undrained canned black beans with no seasoning and some mystery white chunks I'm assuming were cheese but had no flavor at all. I got the impression the rice in my burrito was past its prime as it had an unexplainable sour smell. Service was inattentive. The place was near empty at noon on a weekday and it still took longer than expected, no forks or napkins until after we got the entrees, I had to ask for a knife for my burrito and they gave me a butter knife. Burrito had very little flavor other than the rice being iffy and some lightly seasoned pastor. As other reviews have said this is a depressing misrepresentation of Mexican food

We reserved the space for a birthday party. We set up a drum and guitars for a jam session and had a taco and fajita bar. We worked with Danny in making the arrangements. We could not have been happier with our event. He made it all so easy and let us know that this was our event and we could do anything we wanted. Our wait staff, Britt, Abby and Maddie (I hope I am spelling their names right) were wonderful. They were so friendly and warm. They were incredibly helpful every step of the way. Britt even told us how much fun she had helping us. We would not hesitate to have another event there.

I’m pretty sure our servers were Britt and Abby, and they were incredible. They were so kind and funny, very enjoyable people to have as servers. Taquiza seems to have a lot of private events on Saturdays because this past Saturday and the one prior they had an event. We ordered the Birria Tacos and loved them. The salsa was unfortunately not very great, but the queso was delicious.

We were in the mood for street tacos and ended up here. I sjare street tacos with my daughter, but keep in mind no kids menu and not kid friendly. Food was delicious, and we made it work with our kid, we also had the nachos with grilled chicken, and they were really good.

My mom & I stopped here for lunch today! The food, customer service and prices were amazing!! The two girls working were so nice to us and asked if we needed anything frequently!! We will definitely be returning here😁😁

Awesome new spot in Overland Park to go check out! The food was amazing. We enjoyed everything, but the birria tacos are insanely good. The bartender Justin was making great cocktails. The patio was also awesome. We were able to enjoy the open air concept with the garage doors being open. Played cornhole to try to burn off the calories from the tacos and burrito. Look at the pics, the burrito is huge!

There's not many options for Mexican restaurants in the Leawood/OP area. We were very pleased with our take out experience with Taquiza! The burrito was absolutely massive but perfect to have for leftovers the next day, which heated up very nicely. Came with a jalapeno cream sauce that paired perfectly with the burrito. 8/10. Some foods are better dining in versus takeout which would be my take for the Birria tacos. The dipping sauce was full of flavor and had a nice kick to it. 6/10 (takeout rating) 8/10 (dine-in rating) Chips and queso were really good as well. Ordered a side of the spicy salsa... you're in for a nose-running treat that's for sure. Look forward to dining here more often!!

I loved this place! It was so yummy & amazing. The waitresses were so great and took care of us! We tried the loaded fries and added shrimp on top! We also had the Birria tacos & chips/queso. Everything was delicious! We had a blast & will go back! We watched the tv on the patio & enjoyed the fresh air! It's very spacious on the patio. The inside is cute & also painted with a small stage! I just loved the vibe!

This place is so cool. With a cozy atmosphere and really cool art and decor. Great place for happy hour or to enjoy some delicious Mexican food. They have great daily specials and happy hour. I loved the shrimp tacos and they have some of the best drinks with great presentation. Highly recommend them.

More top favorites that Taquiza offers is happy hour everyday from 2-6PM, $2.25 street tacos & $6 churros daily. We enjoyed the queso dip and salsa with chips as an appetizer. We also had the margarita flight that everyone has been raving about! We ordered the birria tacos, the land & sea tacos, and the massive burrito stuffed with chicken and fresh ingredients. The service was attentive and friendly. We sat on the patio but there is also seating inside and at the bar. TaquizaKS is the same owner of Social Waldo. Show some support for local business owners!

This new concept from the same people behind next-door Revel Sports Tavern and Waldo's Social serves Southern California-style apps, tacos and burritos. They also have a full bar with TVS featuring margaritas, mezcals, tequilas and Mexican beers (with six on tap). I liked the reasonably-priced menu (with daily specials), the fast, friendly service and the nice atmosphere. The surf and turf tacos ($11.99) included three huge, packed, carne asada and shrimp tacos on warm, moist, 5.5" tortillas with chips and salsa. I also noticed a large roll-up garage door at the entry that opened to the spacious patio with games. More salsa with the chips would have been nice, but overall this new place was very nice!

Food is terrible service is awful drinks are so bad I won't recommend this place .... We waited for a long time for someone tu take our order then we had to wait for them to bring us napkins and silver. It was just awful.

It should be a crime for a Mexican restaurant to not give you complimentary chips and dip when you sit down and dine ..... unfortunately this place is following suit. This place focuses more on carry out orders and their tequila. You can get cheap tequila all the way to top shelf at this location. We started out with chips and queso since chips and salsa don't come with the meal. By the time the queso came out it was cold. Their chips aren't house made but whatever they are, they're sturdy, they aren't that thin kind but also not so thick you cut the roof of your mouth. I ordered their nachos as an entree, they are actually made to be an appetizer. By the time it came out to me it was cold so the cheese was hard. I just kept ground beef on the nachos but it wasn't enough. I was still hungry and I didn't share with anyone. The surf and turf tacos come with Three corn tortillas with carne asada & shrimp, asadero cheese, cabbage blend, onion, cilantro, creamy guacamole and lime aioli. The drinks we ordered were the Guava Pineapple Sour, it had fortelezza blanco tequila, guava liqueur, pineapple juice, triple sec, lime juice and an egg white. We also had their margarita and their butterfly effect with butterfly cannon blue tequila, prickly pear liqueur, lemon juice and a dash of bitters. I think their drinks are great, I think they should just focus on being a cocktail bar and open up a wall and bring the food in from next door. I hope the food they are serving up is better.

More of bar vibe with tacos. If you order tacos then only do you get chips and salsa as the side. We weren't a fan as there was a hair in the salsa. Gross because who knows if it was in the entire salsa batch or just the small cup. We ordered nachos and tacos. We never got our nachos.. which worked out for us anyways as we were okay with just the tacos. The tacos were okay.

My first visit here was great. My server Ivy was wonderful. She was very helpful, friendly and just provided amazing customer service. The food was perfect and fulfilling. The place is not very large but it's a cool spot to go to on a Friday night after work. I plan to go back soon.

Food was good. Just needed a spicy sauce to go with them. Service was not great though. Took forever for drinks, chips, take the order, get our bill, etc. Seemed short staffed.

Not good. 2 stars might be a stretch. Food wasn't horrible but def flavorless. Salsa bad bad. I'm not sure how you take flavor out of birria tacos and salsa but they found a way to do it. Waitress was nice but had to ask for napkins, got our complimentary chips/salsa 15 minutes after we sat down, and waited on drinks for quite awhile. Really wanted to like it but was disappointed.

Absolutely delicious!! San Diego burrito is fire!! Great service and environment!! They do margs right :)

The food was amazing the waitress Jenny and all the hosts that helped us there were very good and attentive to us would definitely recommend and definitely coming back recommend the house burrito it's enough for 2
