Google
I can't say not so much about because we stop only for a coffee that was good. But about the atmosphere was very nice, a old Italian bar, very well done.

I came here on a Saturday night with my cousins before a concert and it was not crowded. We made reservations a week before hand and got seated right away. The servers were all very friendly. Between four people, we shared 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 1 dessert and I was a good full. The polpettine meatballs and Frito misto were good. The pinsa burrata is fresh and delicious. The rigatoni short rib is unique and cacio e pepe is decent. The pastas were a bit undercooked but both flavorful. The tiramisu was very good and I absolutely recommend it!

Google
The best meal we had while in NYC. Excellent food, exquisite service from Analucia, and amazing atmosphere. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Google
Fantastic food and service! Grandma style Italian with modern twists and innovations by an ingenious staff. Go with a group so you can try everything!

Google
We reserved a team lunch here for group of 6. Our table was ready upon arrival. The restaurant has a nice European rustic vibe, with a bar area in front, and outdoor seating as well, weather permitted. It’s a full on Italian lunch menu, if you are not familiar with Italian dishes, you would spend a lot of time in Google lol! The lunch menu is also different than dinner menu. We got the burrata for appetizer. Amazing flatbread with tomato sauce and outrageous burrata cheese. I made sure no cheese was wasted. All of us got variety of dishes from pasta, gnocchi to panini. They all loved and spoke highly of their food. I got the Salmon that was seared so beautifully. The skin was crisp, but a very soft tasty layer underneath. The vegetables on the dish were also cooked so well. The special blueberry non alcoholic drink was solid as well. Overall e had a fantastic team lunch. Service was incredible. We were in and out within an hour.

Google
This was the most amazing meal I’ve had all year. If you’re in new york city you must visit this restaurant. The ambience, food, and staff were excellent and I can’t wait until the next tine i’m back.

Google
salmon skin was 😵‍💫😵‍💫 SO CRISPY and the salmon itself was cooked extremely well. i didn’t really eat the farro but entire dish was super good. also burrata is really good but foccacia is mid but i still consumed large amounts of it

Google
Excellent food when I came here for a private event. This place has got its bread and olive oil RIGHT, with the perfect saltiness and chewiness on the bread. The arugula and walnut salad was my fav dish, it was light, nutty and the dressing was done perfectly. Salmon was also a hit with the crispy and well seasoned skin (eat it w the skin), and got chicken, pasta, potatoes, and asparagus as well all of which were very good if you add a tad bit more salt to it. Berry salad for dessert with the fresh mint was a nice final cleanser. Edit: Came here again for a small group lunch and the table average rating is probably 3.5. I liked my octopus, but others found their pasta completely bland!

Yelp
What a cute romantic restaurant! The lighting is so perfect...not too dim and not too bright. The spacing between tables is decent enough to where you aren't hearing the conversation of the group next to you. I ordered the chicken entree and it was so delicious. I took some leftovers home and my sister at it cold and STILL loved it! If you like to order a lot of food, the tables are kind of small for two people. But that is standard in NYC.

Yelp
Anytime I'm in the Union Square area looking for Italian, I go here. I've probably been here 7+ times now. Emmanuel always makes us feel so welcome - it really feels like a family restaurant. The food and wine are great as well of course. The bolognese is really standout - just a super satisfying dish. I'm so glad this place is here!

Lisa L.

Yelp
I went there for a casual lunch on a weekend. I was famished so was really hoping for something substantial with Italian pasta, but I was surprised to see how tiny the portions were relative to the price. I'm a tiny person and I left starving. We walked to the dragonfest to get some other food items instead. The food wasn't bad but wasn't memorable and the portion size was too small to warrant the pricing. I was not a fan ultimately. It was $68.51 including tip for two people and two dishes.

Yelp
We originally went because my wife wanted one of good gelato desserts. Had a great Caesar, with perfect bread and olive oil. Wife had pasta pomodoro and I had the pesto gnocchi which were both very nice, along with a good Pinot griggo. Her dessert were 3 types of gelato. Ambiance was very nice.

Anam A.

Yelp
Made reservations for Saturday night dinner through OpenTable (they had many times available). We ordered the caesar salad, spaghetti, and burrata pizza. Everything was pretty good and flavorful. The only complaint we had was that the burrata pizza was cold. Other than that, the sauce was delicious and the crust was so soft. Service was okay; our waiter didn't even check up on us once. Ambiance is nice for an intimate dinner/date night. If you're in the area, try it.

Yelp
Visited on 2/4/2024 : I found this restaurant very pleasant for the occasion we came for. My friend just came from picking out her wedding dress with her family and her bridesmaids and it was also her birthday. The staff there gave us a complimentary dessert for her and sang happy birthday. They even greeted her and said happy birthday . I think it really made her day. My only complaint is I wish there is a way to add protein to some of the pasta options. However, I understand why they're probably wasn't any, but if they were to take this in the consideration, I would love to have added chicken to my dish. I don't mind paying extra for protein so money isn't an issue. But everything tasted delicious. I got the cacio e pepe.

Yelp
Bought a chocolate croissant , chocolate muffin and a sugar donut with cream filling. Here i am thinking i am going to have a great choice of little sweets for a midnight snack. To my surprise it was a huge disappointment. The sugar coated donut was good but when i cut it in half, i noticed the filling appeared to be raw, like if they had added too much flour, the filling was tasteless and added no flavoring to the donut. On the ither hand the sugar coating on the donut and the donut itself was ok, but at those prices, i say dint even bother. The chocolate croissant was ok, but Breads Bakery literally is down the block within a 2 minute walk. Of course they have amazing breads and if i want to indulge in something wickedly delicious and infused with real chocolate, chocolate babka is my choice. I will confess. Prior to picking up my donut, i had just had a chocolate babka-so you can imagine my disappointment level when i got home to try all my snacks. Anyways the chocolate croissant was just ok, nothing to talk about. The chocolate muffin, seemed have baked. The bottom part was overcooked and the top was undercooked. Live and learn, wont come back for pastries. I will stick to consistent well made bakeries at Breads Bakery.

Yelp
Nestled in the bustling streets of New York City lies a quaint Italian restaurant, promising an authentic taste of Italy right in the heart of the Big Apple. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to a charming trattoria, complete with cozy ambiance and the inviting aroma of freshly cooked pasta. However, while the atmosphere may be enchanting, the experience falls short when it comes to value for money. Despite the relatively high prices, the portion sizes and quality of the dishes leave much to be desired. What you get on your plate simply doesn't justify the expense, leaving diners feeling disappointed and somewhat shortchanged. Although the menu boasts a variety of classic Italian fare, the execution often fails to live up to expectations. Service, too, can be hit or miss, with waitstaff occasionally appearing harried and inattentive, further detracting from the overall dining experience. We will definitely give this another shot and hope for a better experience.

Yelp
SO GOOD. We sat outdoors where we had a nice breeze for lunch. we tried a few cocktails which were sweet and delicious. For appetizers, we had the burrata and Caesar salad. I don't even eat salad and I thought it was AMAZING! The pastas were EXTREMELY GOOD. The short rib rigatoni was perfection, I highly recommend. The carbonara was creamy and also delicious. For dessert we tried the tiramisu and the lemon, mango and vanilla sorbet/gelato. The mango sorbet was so flavorful and refreshing, and the tiramisu was nice and creamy. Honestly an amazing lunch with great service. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
** Happy Hour Review ** Stopped in here after work on a Friday around 6 pm. The bar seating, where happy hour is served, was full but the hostess let us know a few folks were wrapping up. So we decided to stand in the bar area, grab drinks and wait until someone left. Within five minutes a bar table was open and we were good to go! Their negroni spagliatos were delicious and a great HH deal. We also tried some of the HH bites. Everything was really tasty though we were sure how much of a deal they really were. I'm not sure whether we'd stop in here for a full meal but the happy hour was totally worth it. Nice vibes, friendly staff, and solid service.

Briseida G.

Yelp
I ordered the rigatoni, and it was amazing! The service was excellent, with Emmanuel and Ashley being wonderful hosts. This place is perfect for a solo date night.

Sukhmani K.

Yelp
Came here for a weeknight date! The staff was lovely. It brought me back to Italy. They really create an upscale Italian vibe. I recommend the Gamberi E Zucchine. I loved the white wine sauce. It was just the right consistency with a Lemmon essence. Unfortunately my pictures of the pastas got deleted, but we will definitely be back!

Sucheta B.

Yelp
A really solid place for Italian in union square! We got the meatballs and prosciutto pizza to start for apps and then shared the orecchiette, cacio e Pepe and asparagus for mains. To finish we split the tiramisu and gelato for dessert. The meatballs and pizza were great. The pasta portions are a little small for the price, especially the cacio e Pepe. The orecchiette was phenomenal though. Skip the tiramisu for dessert, we were quite disappointed but loved the gelato. More pros than cons here so we did have an enjoyable time (the friendly staff also was a plus!) and now we know what to order and not to for next time.

Kann T.

Yelp
The food is okay. I'll say the carbonara is a disappointment, I def won't get that if I ever come back again. It's not creamy, it doesn't hit the carbonara spot. The service was great, relatively attentive. I love how the happy hour/bar section is separated from the dining area. The place is nicely decorated. Everything was okay. The fish has a caper in their sauce. Their chicken was good as well as the pizza.

Rick D.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful Rigatoni pasta with short ribs ragú!!!!!! Service was quick efficient The ambiance feels like you transported to Italy Simple and extraordinary

Alison C.

Yelp
I recently had another great experience at the Union Square location of Tarallucci E Vino, but was shocked to discover that I had never written a Yelp review of the place that I often went to for lunch, when I had previously worked in the area. The café was as cute as I had remembered, with its outdoor tables, front bar and coffeeshop, and rear dining area. I was also pleased to see that the menu had not changed, because it allowed me to get my old standby - the Farro and Quinoa Salad. Arugula, roasted baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, and the grains were all tossed in a lemon vinaigrette, making it the perfect light and refreshing salad one would want for a lunchtime meal. I also added grilled shrimp, which were perfectly seasoned and charred. After my main course, I relaxed with a rich, bold glass of Cold Brew. Everything about the experience was delightful, except the service was too slow for a midday meal when patrons are mainly looking for a quick lunch before returning to an office.

Damiano D.

Yelp
Tasty food. Good food. We had pinza and pasta ; The service was good. The location is cozy.

Jeff P.

Yelp
Closing out a long day touring about the city, worked up an appetite and we were not disappointed, waiter was awesome with suggestions and the chicken dish was out of this world, carbonara was thick and packed with flavor, very cool setting with nice lighting and seating! Great find

Tara ..

Yelp
We found this place on google and decided to give it a try. On sole ambiance the place had a wonderful aesthetic. The ambient lighting table seating and bar were perfect vibes for a date night. The staff was super nice and attentive, they frequently checked up to make sure everything was good and refilled our waters quite a number of times. As for food I got the Mafaldine Cacio e Pepe. The sauce was very good, light but still flavorful. I love this type of pasta however I felt that for this type of pasta it was too al dente. Maybe that is more authentic but with such a thick noodle, the addition of it being very al dente ruined the textural experience of the pasta in my opinion. I noticed with the other pastas that my friends got the al dente was not as prevalent, however with this particular dish I felt that the texture took away from the dish rather than adding a positive element to it. For desert we got Torta alla Mousse di Cioccolato. The mousse was very rich and delicious the cake at the bottom was a nice addition texturally. The berries added a nice freshness. The mousse was defiantly a bit stiffer when we first got it, likely because it was chilled in fridge before serving, but as it started to defrost the texture blossomed wonderfully. I thought over all that the food was decent, but for the price point I was not wowed for the price point.

Lisa F.

Yelp
The food here was fresh, delicious and perfectly prepared. Service very attentive and friendly. Tiramisu was divine! This photo is of the salad offered for restaurant week.

Katherine B.

Yelp
Perfect evening at Tarallucci from beginning to end thanks to Federico. Great recommendations, listened well, came by often, just overall phenomenal service, food and drink were also delicious! thanks for a wonderful evening!

Yelp
WARNING! Ask the price of all the specials before ordering, as they will not warn you. 1) i will start by saying i have eaten here MANY times over the years and take visiting family here as it is one of my favorite go-to restaurants. i have also eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world that are very transparent about pricing. 2) For their price range and customer type, T&V should disclose the prices of the specials and special drinks and desserts on a printed menu that is shared with the customers. many of the finest restaurants will still give you a paper slip with the specials. if they are not sharing the prices with you, i have now learned they intend to deceive. if the majority of the house red wines on the menu range from $54-72 per bottle, one would expect the special to be similarly priced. now imagine our shock when the bill came and we were charged nearly $200 for two bottles of perfectly nice wine that probably cost $20-30 wholesale. it was twice as much than our food. if this was say... a michelin starred place, sure, they make the money on wine markup... will never ever buy more than a single glass of wine here again

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
They served me risotto with scallops and asparagus. It was terrific. For some reason the air conditioning wasn't working but the reseated my party outside where it was cool. Ver pleasant experience.

lauren h.

Yelp
An aperol lovers heaven! The cocktail menu features this refreshing summer drink and it's sister cocktails - Campari spritz and negroni spagliato. It's the perfect spot to take a break from the summer heat and enjoy an authentic Italian experience Tarallucci e vino makes all of their pasta fresh daily in house and you can taste the difference. Everything we tried was full of flavor and freshness. Their recipes stay true to the Italian traditions. Their paninis are also fantastic. They also make the bread fresh everyday and allow you to choose which you prefer for your sandwhich. The waitstaff was wonderful! In addition to the chefs doing amazing things in the kitchen, the servers are attentive and helpful. We came here to celebrate my sisters college graduation and they were very accommodating for our large party size. If you ever want to escape the city and enjoy a slice of the Italian coast - this is the place! Buon Appetito!

Ann L.

Yelp
Matteo, our waiter, tonight was wonderful and informative about the specials and friendly. Made our dinner great.

James R.

Yelp
Tarallucci has all the markings of a great local restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and the restaurant has a good vibe. The wine was not over priced by Manhattan standards and the bread was good with the olive oil. However, the pasta dishes did not quite measure up. The restaurant's version of Cacio e Pepe did not do it for me. However, I did like the peppery finish.

Alexandra S.

Yelp
The food was great, but I do feel like you can get better quality for the same price at other restaurants. However, my friends were much more impressed with their food, so perhaps it was just my order. The wine was particularly excellent. I would come back for the wine alone. The service was impeccable, and the vibes inside the restaurant were great. The waiter had an Italian accent and really knew what he was doing, which was cool.

Kris I.

Yelp
A classic European spot in the city! If you are looking for proportions this is defiantly not the place to go, but that is standard with many European dishes. The squid was well cooked and the ambiance was very nice. For the scale of the restaurant, I felt that the prices were moderate. The restaurant does get crowded at times, but if you go during off hours it would be a great place for the day. Our server was very nice and serviced was A tier.

Ji Hea K.

Yelp
Went for the restaurant week lunch menu and had a great meal. - Prosciutto with melon: nice juicy slices of melon with a generous helping of silky prosciutto. Didn't have to ration the meat across the melon chunks that I sliced, which is how it usually goes elsewhere. - Octopus with arugula: many places will char the octopus to a point where it tastes rather burnt. Some people like that but I much prefer the even crisp on the outside with the soft chewiness that came with this well-seasoned execution. Fingerling potatoes were a great addition to add more weight to the dish while the arugula salad kept things in balance. There were olives in the salad but they tasted more fresh than the more deeply marinated olives you might find in an appetizer and easily picked out if they're not your favorite. - Affogato: espresso poured at the table, which kept everything at a lovely temperature. Crushed biscuits on the room, which was a delightful touch. Good portions for feeling full but not overwhelmed and ready for a food coma. Service was prompt and professional with a touch of easy approachability. Inside seating looked smart and the fake flowers kept the outside cheerful.

Glenn B.

Yelp
Everything was perfect, from the warm hospitality to the homey atmosphere to the food. I spend a lot of time in Italy and I will tell you that the food here is outstanding. We started with the fritto misto and prosciutto and arugula on light pizza bread (out of this world) and I had the oriechette with sausage and broccoli rabe and it was as perfect as the versions I've had in Rome. There was a white wine special that was recommended and we got a bottle of that--excellent. Perhaps best of all, as my friend and I lingered post-meal with our wine, engaged in intense conversation, there was no persnickety type A Manhattan late-stage capitalist pressure to leave. No one came over and slammed a check down on the table and you know why? Because this is how civilized hospitality is in Italy and much of Europe. I will definitely be returning..

Sheila C.

Yelp
They gave our credit card away to another table and we barely got an apology. By the time they realized their error, the other party had left with our card. We had to cancel our card immediately. We tried calling to speak to the manager and he doesn't seem to be on-premise a great deal. The food definitely isn't worth their lack of service and poor attitude. There are too many great Italian restaurants to visit in NYC. Pass on this one!

Stefania C.

Yelp
For $27 you can't say homemade pasta and then serve me some poorly cooked boxed spaghetti with a sauce that tastes like water.

L. H.

Yelp
This used to be such a great place to go - the food was amazing, the service was amazing... Now? Not so much. The food is still good (not great, but good), but the service is so rude. I met a friend for lunch the other day, but he wasn't feeling well, so he just ordered tea. I had a full lunch. Mind you, the place was practically empty - we were one of 3 occupied tables. The waitress made it very clear that she was super annoyed that both of us didn't order lunch. In addition, I had called to make a reservation and the person who answered acted like I was bothering her and she was doing me a favor by taking the call. There are a zillion great restaurants in Manhattan. Don't choose this one.

Elizaveta C.

Yelp
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a date night. We were seated immediately by a beautiful hostess. But the waiter wasn't that good, first he didn't want to answer simple questions about menu as we just didn't know what certain items were on the menu. We had to ask him for a bread, after for the oil and vinegar, which he end up bringing only the oil so we had to ask him again. I felt like we made his life impossibly Hard every time we ordered or asked for something. The Food came out pretty fast. The real MVP in the restaurant is the guy who refills water cuz he picked up waiter's slack and helped him out a ton.

Frank K.

Yelp
Menu, service and ambiance was very suitable for a business meeting of the minds, that is, friends' lunch.

Juan G.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood restaurant not a fancy place Food was good and prices accordingly nothing out of the ordinary

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Mixed feelings about this place. Service was good, but salmon lacked flavor and was overdone and side of vegetables and faro seems to be seasoned with garlic only. Bread pudding was served cold. Still gets three stars for service, drinks, and prosciutto pizza, all of which were great. Would not return myself, but if you're just looking for a flat bread and glass of wine, then might be a nice option.

Chunjai K.

Yelp
Good thing about making friend when you go to a restaurant is they might introduce you to a nice place! Tarallucci E Vino is on the list and I'm so glad I come here enjoying fine Italian food with great service. My best friend and I are sharing Burrata for an appetizer. Because of the heat of Summer we want to have a cold drink. My friend has her favorite Hendricks and I have nights watch. She always a hard core drinker and I'm a lady drink style, lol. I like the color of the drink and fruity taste. For the main course we just order what we be able to eat because I know Italian not just have one course but they have pasta then after pasta. It is too much for a tiny girls like us. My friend is debating between pasta and steak and she about to order both but I stop her cos I know she won't be able to finish it. Finally, I order Branzino which is excellent and she gets Orecchiette. Pasta is al dente that is perfect and I love it! We always share the food and the choice that we choose is wonderful and excellent. At the end we get to talk to a great manager and he is very friendly. We will definitely come back for a delicious and fantastic food and such a generous dining experience.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Came to dinner tonight and the food was horrible. Ordered the Rigatoni and Malfadine Con Funghi. I don't mind al dente but both were borderline undercooked and the Malfadine Con Funghi was inedible. Server came by once after a bite of food and although we should have said something at that time we didn't. She didn't come back by the table for another 30 minutes and when I mentioned it was too Al dente she was rude and made a comment about how we didn't say something the first time. To be honest we didn't want to complain and my friend was going to still try to eat it, but it wasn't edible. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Alexis M.

Yelp
AMAZING Italian! The meat and cheese was extremely fresh. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was spectacular. Would recommend to everyone in the area

Afnan T.

Yelp
I loved this place. The outdoor street side seating is very cute. The service is great. Our server spoke Italian so felt like I was teleported to Italy for a little. We had the pesto gnocchi (strongly recommend it) and the burrata pizza also didn't disappoint. For dessert chocolate mouse for the win. Great great service!

M T.

Yelp
I came here for a business Luncheon with colleagues. The atmosphere was perfect for a fairly large group of diners. We had a large table at the back of the restaurant but still felt like we were surrounded by the lively atmosphere. The hostess took a while to realize I was waiting but she was accommodating and pleasant. The waiter was also very pleasant but never came back to check how our meal was or if wanted anything else except at dessert/coffee time. The food was very pricey for what it was - especially the pasta dishes which were extremely small. The food was good but not phenomenal. I would recommend again for a casual business meal but not for an amazing gourmet cuisine experience.

Jatin A.

Yelp
Tarallucci has quite the atmosphere, especially at night time, with nice lights and flowers in the outdoor area. We were seated inside where the lights are dim, and I felt the service (by the one guy who was doing it all on a Wednesday night) was very very good. In terms of food, the lasagna felt a little simple, but it was tasty, regardless. We also ordered the salmon which comes with barley and greens. The salmon itself was crispy on the outside and well cooked. The barley was a great side dish which complemented it well. Overall, it was a very satisfying dinner, even though it wasn't a cheap meal.

Sanchita O.

Yelp
Went here for brunch over the weekend. Indoor was not crowded at all. The vegetarian quiche and french toast were really good. The omelette was okay. Nothing great about it and not well seasoned. Avocado toast was pretty good too. But the desserts were clearly winners - the chocolate mousse cake and the tiramisu. Excellent!

Katelyn H.

Yelp
Had a small engagement dinner here for friends and not only was the food wonderful, but the waiter did an excellent job of making it special. Great pasta, drinks, and dessert 10/10 recommend

Ella D.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week and was not disappointed! Started with the tuna tartare, pork Milanese and the lemon dessert! Portions were great and worth the $$. One thing to note was the service being quite slow (took us over 45 mins) to request the bill.

Mary E.

Yelp
The perfect neighborhood Italian spot--a rare place where really good food, service and atmosphere combine perfectly. Our server Emanuele made us feel like family! The food was very good--interesting cold antipasto selection (the truffle cheese was our favorite), and the homemade pasta was fabulous. Everyone at the table had a bowl and there wasn't a single noodle left at the end of the course! We got dessert too (bread pudding was standout; flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu were also delicious) and were graciously comped sorbetto, which was DELICIOUS. They also easily accomodated my husband's gluten and nut allergies. We also had the white wine special--really appreciated Emanuele's suggestion. Even though I'm always trying new places in NYC, I will definitely be back!

Bryan G.

Yelp
My sweetheart and I had the most genuine experience dining here last month. The atmosphere felt deliberately calm and cozy. Emanuele was by far the most pleasant and enjoyable host who's kindness radiated throughout the room. The food was equally as satisfying. I relied on Emanuele's suggestions for both main course and dessert and plan on doing the same the next time we visit. Outstanding service. Outstanding food. Outstanding restaurant.
