Thousand Oaks’s First Craft Brewery Craft Beer Tarantula Hill Opens - Eater LA

"Named after the city’s 1,057 foot peak, Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. is housed in a former furniture store and occupies 22,000 square feet that includes an expansive patio. It serves beer, wood-fired pizzas, scratch-made ice cream, and coffee from Newbury Park’s Ragamuffin Coffee. The space is rustic-industrial, family-friendly, with an open layout, communal tables, and a taproom visible through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It features separate counters for pizza, ice cream, and coffee. The brewery has 25 guest beers on tap and plans a range of house beers, including a Thousand Oaks blonde ale and a West Coast-style IPA. Upcoming events include beer dinners, live music, and comedy nights." - Fiona Chandra

Reason for visiting: was initially headed to The Tipsy Goat but switched over to Tarantula Brewery. Date/time of visit: Saturday night, 9:00 PM Parking: took a Lyft but there seems to be street parking and some parking for businesses. Lyft or Uber can take a while to come by so better to order early vs ordering when you start waiting. We waited 30+ mins for car after one cancel and others took time to wait for ride Party size: 5 Environment/ambience: pretty fun place; there's seating in the front outside, some with fire pit/fire place, seating inside, and seating in the back. It was pretty crowded but still able to find a place to sit. The QR code that shows the menu, we weren't able to order through there (it didn't pick up the table number) so ordered drinks at the front; separate lines for beer, full bar, and ice cream. The ice cream station stop serving at some point; I think 10:00 PM but you can still get ice cream sandwiches that are in the fridge late night. Seems to be younger, good looking crowd. Busy all night; seems like people starts going over to the Tipsy Goat (they started playing music, hip hop). Sheriff's were parked next to the bar but didn't do anything; people allowed to cross the streets freely. Service: was great; friendly and helpful Food: had an old fashioned, tater tots, chips, and ice cream sandwiches. Everything was good. Cost: ~$93 with tip for 2 tequila shots, 2 Palomas, and an Old Fashioned. $33 for 3 ice cream sandwiches, with taxes Would I go back (yes/no): 95/5

Very cool atmosphere with lots of beer, whiskey and food options; even ice cream! I personally did not care for the ordering process where everything was done on your phone. Sadly the fish tacos were really mediocre. The big pretzel is good though. Its worth a visit, but it is not somewhere I would frequent.

Google
Tarantula Hill is a great place to hang out with friends. Great wide selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks. Appetizers are also amazing. Been there several times with friends and coworkers. Outdoors the place has great seating, pup friendly. Right on the heart of T.O. My only reservation negatively is when they host Borderline nights. Crowds get heavy and at times unruly. As I walked to my car some drunk patrons were yelling obscenities as they drove off the parking lot. Way too crowded, I can see something happening in the future that is widely consequential and a liability. Not my crowd

Google
Though I haven’t visited the brewery, I have bought the beer. I bought a case of it and there is a clump of sediment in each can. When one takes their last gulp it burns going down. I was embarrassed when a guest discovered it as well. Now, I am straining every can of beer as I pour it. I took some photos of it. I’m assuming it’s yeast or ? I reached out to the brewery but have received no response. It’s a shame. I really liked the beer on tap until I bought a case of it.

Tarantula Brewing – A laid-back spot with great vibes. Impressive brewing tanks, a cool atmosphere, nice soul food, and the great place to relax and unwind.

Google
I would come back for a SINGLE beer. The beer and cocktails were great! However… the drinks come randomly… as everyone is ordering their own drinks at different times. 5 minutes for one persons drink and 15 minutes for the other persons drink because 20 other people also placed a drink order through their phone before your friend did. Your entire party is forced to pick up their phone and order through an app instead of being able to sit back, relax, and just tell someone they would like another drink when they are ready. Some food is reasonable… while other items are WAY overpriced. Empty tables on the patio with LITERALLY nothing… no condiments, no napkins, no utensils for your food when you order… you can have a brewery vibe but still provide basic services. 😩 LOTS of room for improvement… offer a feedback section when you force your customers to process their own payments and listen to your guest. 🤙🏼

Google
We had a great experience at Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. Extra large, sprawling brewery space to accommodate extra large crowds for beer enthusiasts of all shapes and sizes. Bar service was extra kind and helpful ordering an assortment of craft beer to bring to our table. There is a large menu of food to pair with your favorite in-house beer. They also serve wine & cocktails & N/A choices as well. The vast space includes a few indoor and outdoor seating options. Weekly special nights & Monthly live events fill the calendar. Parking lot and parking in front. Great local beer find & destination

Yelp
Food beer are amazing, atmosphere is great. Isa is on hospitality. He's amazing more than half. The staff is wonderful and great.

Yelp
This place is spacious and has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. You use your phone to scan the menu at whichever table you take. Then, you can order various menu items, everything from chicken tacos and pepperoni pizza to beers and coffee. The menu is chock full of different foods and drinks. What's better is that you order and pay using the link to the menu, and then a waiter or waitress brings the food directly to your table! No waiting for someone to show up once you want to order. You decide what you want and order immediately! There is no awkward splitting of the check when you only "ordered a beer," and you pay for yourself directly through the link. When I first visited, a big group was playing baby shower games on the patio, so they provided entertainment! Once again, the patio area is huge. The weather was perfect, and the food and drinks were a highlight of a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Aside from the pizza and beer I don't recommend anything else. Foods pretty cold and when we ordered $20 wings they were the tiniest wings I've ever seen. They were the size of my pinky Overrated.

Yelp
Still LOVE the brews and the mood, but went recently for the dueling piano show and was again just so extremely disappointed that every dish that piqued my interest was spicy! Even my French fries had so much kick! Seriously ...French fries!!! I had to settle for the chicken tenders to ensure I didn't get spicy food ...and the damn seasoned fries were coated with chili! WTF? Going to pass on any upcoming suggested visits since it's been difficult finding (not spicy or even mild) good eats on the menu my last several trips.

Yelp
So spacious and nice to a brewery. It was so busy for a Friday night. It was the perfect spot to end or start the night after our concert. they have have so many beer selections. we had their liquid candy colada, razzle dazzle sour, Tarantula Hill blonde and succulent sipper seltzer. we also ordered food. please note you have to take a seat first to place the order via a QR code or if you order at a bar then you must give them the table # so that they can send you the food you order. Such chill vibes! we had their pepperoni pizza, wings with buffalo sauce and tater toots. the buffalo sauce was on point. and so were the vegetables a variety of colorfull carrots and celery. they have fire pits and warmers outside. such a nice place for some good times with family and friends.

Yelp
Best beer in town! Food was great too! Little pricey but worth it in my opinion. Family friendly too!

Yelp
We have been twice now. Very spacious place. The first time we went for a quick lunch and loved that you order from the QR code on the table. Family friendly place. The second time we went we got there at opening and took over a few tables for our child's 3rd birthday party. We had about 15 people total and it worked out great. We knew we wouldn't be there more than 2 hours and everyone ordered their own food and drinks. The kids had a great time playing and loved getting ice cream from the ice cream counter. Food is a wide range to choose from. Again, ordering off your phone is super convenient. We did notice that if you switched tables (even to the table next to you) the staff wouldn't know where you were exactly. Stay put until your order arrives to avoid confusion. We had great service and everyone was nice. You can book and reserve for a party. On their website they have party packages. Call to confirm prices though, we almost booked but their prices had changed and they changed our plans a bit. Next to the bathroom is a little Photo Booth. Loved jumping in there with my little family to commemorate the experience and celebration. Will be back more!

Yelp
Tarantula is the perfect spot for those looking to enjoy a quick beer while catching their favorite game. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, making it an excellent choice for sports enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. One of the standout features of Tarantula is its unique ordering system. Gone are the days of waiting for a server to take your order. Instead, you simply place your order through your phone, allowing for a swift experience that's perfect for those on the go. This means you can grab your drink, enjoy the game, and be on your way in no time! Now, to be clear! Some guests Love this! Some guests don't! While the lack of traditional service might raise some eyebrows, it actually enhances the experience for many. It allows you to skip the wait and dive straight into the action, making Tarantula an efficient choice for a quick outing. Whether you're stopping by after work or before heading to another event, it's a hassle-free way to enjoy a cold beer and cheer on your team. So, if you're in the mood for a fast-paced, no-fuss experience, Tarantula is definitely the place to be!

Yelp
The sausage poblano mac & cheese is probably the best damn thing I've had! It's so cheesy and flavorful! I hope they never take it off the menu!

Yelp
Very busy place but you need to know all prices listed are for cash only. So 99.9% of us are paying extra. They have lots of fun nights and events. Beer is excellent. The wings are awesome.

Yelp
We had such a great time singing with the dueling pianos talent. And the Pizza was AMAZING. My bf loves a specific type of toppings on his pizza and they accommodated. Shout out to Brian R and Savannah for assisting us.

Yelp
A great hangout spots with friends or co workers or family! Food that fits anyone's palette, ice cream and drinks for the adults. I am not much of a drinker but I have found some amazing ones here! We keep coming back for more!

Yelp
We needed a break from work, thus we popped in for some refreshments! On a Friday afternoon the party was already getting started at this bar! The music was pounding, and people were starting to pour in. This brewery offers a large selection of their own beers and guest beers. Plus for non beer drinkers they have cocktails, wine, cider and non alcoholic drinks. My husband said the beers are fair. My cocktail with bourbon was a bit too sweet for me! My cider on the other hand was nice as it was on the dry side rather than the sweet stuff like ACE cider. The cocktails are mostly in the mid 13 dollar range. Plus you can get non alcoholic drinks! The bar also has food. We did not have any food. The bar features homemade pizza! The menu also has sandwiches, salads and ice cream. The food prices weee high, but all food prices in Cali are high. The restaurant has tons of seating. The front has an outdoor patio with big boy seating plus some couches. There is also an outdoor area in the back that wasn't open till 6 on the Friday we were there in April. Plus there is indoor seating: tables and benches. And a limited number of seats at two different bars. There is seating for everybody. My negatives are the following: 1. Music too loud during the day for conversation 2. Food prices seemed very high. 10 dollars for an ice cream sandwich 3. My cocktail was too sweet but priced fair in comparison to other bars. Cool fact about this place is that it use to a furniture store!

Yelp
We have been coming here since they opened, but I have been pretty disappointed lately. We were there today. For how much the food costs, it should not arrive to the table cold. The servers never check to see what we might need; for example, we had no napkins and needed silverware. We were pretty much pushed out of the front lower section we were in by a large kid's sports party, and that should have been managed by someone paying attention and directing them to the copious amounts of space inside or opening up the back patio. They weren't even in a space where that many people could be accommodated--there were only 3 small tables. I keep going back thinking that they will correct the problems but they don't.

Yelp
This was a great experience, we had never been to Tarantula Hill Brewing before, Eric the bar tender was super helpful, which made our experience great, we luckily went on taco Tuesday, the tacos were great I ate 6, 2 of each, we will definitely be going back soon.

Yelp
This was the 1st time the 4 of us had ever been to Tarantula Hill and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and the service we received were terrific. We will all return again in the future!

Yelp
Now that I've come to Tarantula a few times, I will say I am wondering why they had lower reviews. Honestly, for being located in the sleepy Thousand Oaks area, they are poppin on a Friday night... like where else is there to go anyway? Every other places closes even earlier! I wish they kept more soul beers on tap-- they have run out and I get annoyed-- because they I get left wondering, well why isn't there any more? Burger and fries are filling and awesome. I don't know if I like how there is an ice cream spot because of the kids who end up there and running around. I mean, we love the kiddos but not sure if it is appropriate in a bar? Besides these, Tarantula is SO BIG. Amazing. And alcohol is solid. Good choice all the same.

Yelp
A wonderful place for large groups! Lots of seating options. You can sit in the front patio with shade, inside, or the back has even more space with a tent. Seems there are events on the weekends as well. The place is kid friendly which is amazing. Lots of families were there with their littles. Only downside is that the men's bathroom does not have a baby changing station. That's disappointing since we are in 2024 and plenty of dads change diapers. Nice place for a group since you can order online and skip the splitting bill issue. Service was timely. Lots of selection for beers. They have a full bar so you can even find something else to drink if beer is not for you. I have only tried a couple of the pizzas. The short rib pizza and the spicy bbq were amazing! 100 percent recommend food from here. Overall, wonderful! Coming back for sure.

Yelp
Pretty good place to hang out with tons of room for seating and lots to eat. This place even has its own coffee bar and ice cream shop. As far as beer I had the Stout which was very smooth and delicious. Had the turkey cranberry sandwich which was very good and nothing to really complain about. Fries are at that point where they're not too overcooked and just the right flavor. I give this place five because it's very clean, organized, and roomy with tons of options of food, beer and ice cream. I don't live anywhere near this place but I'm definitely going to put this on the map of somewhere to come back. One of the thing I wish they rebranded their image to be more of like a tarantula because I'd be on top of all that merch.

Yelp
It had been a couple of years since I dined at Tarantula Hill as we mainly come for drinks. I was surprised and impressed with how streamlined the food service has developed into considering how large the venue is. Scanning QR codes for the menu is not a new idea however, being able to order, have the food delivered, and to pay your bill without having to leave your seat; now that's a novel concept for the Conejo area. I think the only minor hiccup we encountered was the table number we were at. Apparently this particular table is typically in a different area than where we were at. So the wait staff was on the hunt to deliver our drinks and food when the time came. For the menu: I was pleasantly surprised with the options they had for basically any type of patron (even gluten free pizza crust). We even tried the generously portioned charcuterie board. Couple that with tots, pretzels, beer and wine, we were thoroughly pleased by the end of the night. Parking is still a bit of a nightmare however, across the street, the corporate building parking lot at night seems to be dedicated to T Hill (look for the signage). Otherwise most of you should be Ubering anyways.

Yelp
The beer selection is great, and my favorites are the tarantula blonde and blood orange Jack Wit. Their pizzas are delicious too especially the goat cheese and aragula! Yumm.... I wish they have daily entertainment though such as live music or something!

Yelp
I really love having a local brewery in Thousand Oaks, which is such a fun place to have family gatherings and a casual date night for me and my husband! I would say that the vibes and the location of this brewery is 5/5, the ice cream (I'm dairy free so the vegan ones!) is 5/5, and the other food items are 3-4 out of 5. I don't drink, but my husband says that the drink options are pretty solid! The staff who work there are always super friendly, and I will have to admit, though that the app in which you used to order food is not as user-friendly as I would like! The brewery itself is also very spacious with multiple tables and they also have themed nights to make it even more fun to stop by! Recently that even had a Hawaiian night as well as a country themed party where customers came in dressed in western clothing! There is also plenty of parking parking nearby, with a really pedestrian, friendly crosswalk that lights up to let cars know When you are walking across the street!! My husband and I recently hosted his friends from Texas at this brewery and we all had a fantastic time outside on the balcony with good vibes from the other customers nearby as well! Everybody always seems to have a fantastic time, and I'll come in time and time again, just for the vibes and the ambience!

Yelp
Recently stopped in on our last trip to Thousand Oaks and man, this brewery is amazing. Love the double IPA's they make in house and the food was excellent as well. The place was absolutely packed and kid friendly as well.
google avatar

Tom G.

Yelp
Second time visit and found that the pizza and chicken wings had not improved. The pizza is very thin, holds no heat and is cold by the time it gets to the table. Chicken wings taste like they were frozen at one time and now heated and dipped in a sauce. Not worth their price, thus very disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
Good beer, good food, and a good lively atmosphere, what more can you ask of a brewery? Service is friendly, and fast as can be given the crowd this place draws. I've been here a few times, it's a great place to meet up with friends. It's a mixed age crowd typically ranging from 20's to 50's. Everything I've ordered here has been good, including their food, and I'd recommend this place to anyone as it's one of the better breweries in the area. That's this critic's review.
google avatar

William W.

Yelp
They could deliver drinks i paid for. Very difficult to get service and then they didn't deliver everything. When i brought it up the attendant argued with me. Rude service.

Lourdes C.

Yelp
One of the people who works in Tarantula was very angry when he saw that I was eating a sandwich that I brought from home even though my husband was eating food and beer from Tarantula . The guy told me to go to eat on the street or if I do not stop eating, he will force me to leave. He also said that he had the right to decide what clients he wanted or not. My husband and I were coming here every week since more than 4 years ago when this place was open to the public even though the prices are higher than other restaurants. I won't be coming back here again. Update: The post that I did above was 10 days ago. And today I received a message from somebody called D.D. concerning my post. I wonder who is DD?? Here below is a screen picture of that message.

Yelp
I'd like to start off by saying that the location is super large and spacious with tons of seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is also a back patio area where they play live music and lots of TV's to watch the fights. We found parking on the street, wasn't too difficult. EV charging right around the corner, so that was convenient. Delicious pepperoni pizza paired perfectly with refreshing sours and IPAs. A definite go to for food and beer lovers, sours and IPAs. We had their sour at a different location, looked up the brewery and drove 40 minutes just to give it a try. 10/10 a must try, will be returning for another delicious pretzel, beer, and looking to try the wings. They also sell ice cream, can't ask for more.

Addie O.

Yelp
T hill is great but some of the servers are so rude, my boyfriend and I were here during an event and a server had come out to deliver some food as she walked by we asked her for some bbq sauce and she completely ignored us and kept walking. I think her name is Emma or something I'm not sure but I asked another co worker and wanted to get her name. We finally got our bbq sauce

DeAnna G.

Yelp
We've driven by many times and it always looks like a good time! Stopped in today for lunch and to start, the place is gigantic with no one at the doors to assist a newcomer with how anything works. Flagged down a guy bussing and were told the options to order at a table with the QR code or go up to a station inside and order and they'll bring it out to you. We sat on the patio and ordered online (didn't like this option). When I go out I want someone to bring me a menu, take my order, bring out my food, check on us, etc. for a $19+ small burrito and a handful of chips I feel cheated. No menus, order online, they did bring our food, but no napkins or utensils, and never checked back on us. Just checked out online and left. They give options for 18, 20, and 25% tip. The burritos were just okay, nothing special. My son did enjoy his beer. Definitely won't be returning.

leah m.

Yelp
Really disappointed in the service. Took my in-laws today to enjoy a leisurely lunch and the wait staff was extremely rude
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious pizza and ice cream!! Service was quick and friendly. Huge place- great for game days. I will look forward to going back.

Nicolas C.

Yelp
Overall solid for pizza; chicken tenders were very average and not worth the price; we didn't receive any side sauces for the tenders after requesting so we ended up eating the fries and rendered kinda dry; ambiance was fine and was self serve water
google avatar

Zachary S.

Yelp
Look, the place is cool and Thousand Oaks is lucky to have it. I'll take my family there at least once a month but for the love of all that is holy, how did this cost $12.50? An 18 year old college kid blacked out in his dorm room at 3am with nothing but an old microwave, 4 tortillas, and a few slices of cheese could make a quesadilla as good or better than this. $12.50? Is this Tarantula Hill or LAX? At least throw some fries on there, my God.

Chad K.

Yelp
Good food. Service is good. Ambiance is good. Think I got double charged though. Beer is amazing.

A R.

Yelp
This place USED to be great. In the last couple of years it has become the most obnoxious place to go. The large, loud groups of people that they allow to stand around, crowding the patio tables filled with diners is awful. What's also awful is the ridiculously long lines for the women's restroom,The last time we were there, we clocked it at a 24 minute wait?!? We used to be able to go enjoy a beer and a tasty (albeit overpriced) meal, but now it's just so crowded, loud and obnoxious that I'd rather go honestly anyplace else. I hope management looks at all of these reviews and are working on addressing some of these issues. I'd love to see it back to why we first loved going there.
google avatar

Samuel O.

Yelp
It's a nice place for a large group of people. The area might get a bit crowded, but they have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. It helps that they allow individuals to order through their phone because it avoids the hassle of trying to flag down a waiter or waiting in line to order. The noise level is pretty standard for any brewery. The place has a pretty diverse menu, and I sampled a bit of food options that friends ordered. Most of them were just mediocre bar food at best. The only item that really stood out from the crowd was their fried Brussel sprouts. It was well cooked and the garnish perfectly complemented the dish. They have a sauce throughout the sprouts that gives them a bit of tanginess completing the whole experience.

Yelp
Came here with friends on a Saturday for lunch. They have seating inside and outside and QR codes at every table for you to order from (food or beer). The place is huge so plenty of space and great for large groups. You order from the QR code by setting up a tab first so I recommend you just place an order for drinks first then browse the food menu if you're looking for something to eat. For food, I had the Short Rib Dip Sandwich that came with fries. It was really good. A little pricey but well worth it for the taste. I was dunking the fries in any leftover jus. For drinks I ordered a Blood Orange Jack Wit which was a nice lighter beer and would definitely drink again. I followed up with a Flamingo Pool Party which is an IPA and a pretty good one. The drinks are served really quickly. People come by and drop the drinks and food off and if you need anything else, be quick about asking because they tend to drop off stuff fast since they're serving multiple tables. We parked on the street but there was plenty.

Yelp
TL;DR: Average beer. Over-priced, but good food. Great ice cream. Unacceptable ordering system. Ordering system completely drops half your order. Talked to another table which wS having the same experience. Talked to several servers about missing order and nothing came of it, had to find manager to get issue resolved I don't trust the system to charge correctly. Great location and building makes you think they'd have this together. Had to express disappointment to manager about it. If you're looking for a place to just hang out with one beer and without ordering food, it's good. IPAs and pales are standard with the market, but don't command the price they are asking for them. Brown ale is actually really good, I would recommend that (without ordering food). I suspect the other dark beers are also good, so props to the head brewer for that. I'll consider coming back if the ordering system is fixed, but just for the dark ale and ice cream.

Yelp
Great vibes good brews. There's lots of hot people here but unfortunately no one talks to eachother. Great place to come with friends. I've seen many potential husbands here but unfortunately they don't know how to talk to girls. The craft hard kombucha and pretzel is delicious though.

Yelp
My new favorite place to go to in Thousand Oaks! I am new to the area and the first time I came here, I sat at the bar, the waiter was very helpful and offered great suggestions! There were a lot of people but this did not take away from the quick service they offer. The next time I went, I was able to get a table. There is a QR code on the table that you order from and indicate the table # you are in. You pay right on your phone and your food comes out to your table. The food was soooo delicious. I loved everything they had especially the margarita pizza, birria tacos and their liquid candy beer. It's a nice, chill place to visit and hangout/catch up with friends.

Tara B.

Yelp
The ambience, the location, the size of the place is the best part of it! There is all kinds of different seating, inside and outside on the deck, depending on if you want super cool, air conditioning, or being out in the element of the day in the hot lovely Thousand Oaks! The beer on tap is equally one of the best things here. I LOVE a really hoppy IPA, and they have a great selection to choose from. The food is not my kind of food, I wish they used organic flour for the pizza and organic vegetables for the salads and other items but they don't. The beer bartender staff seems quite knowledgeable, but the service people seem a little too young to know any answers to any questions. They could improve on this. This is a great place for someone like me who goes out alone because there are others who go out alone and there's plenty of seats! I enjoyed my time here.

Yelp
Returned here and it's such an unfortunate situation. Wait staff are needed here. Servers answer questions, solve problems and help ... sell food and beverages. Right now, it's a 2020 throwback where you order by scanning a QR code on your table and ordering only on your phone. No human interaction. The last time I came here there was a mixup that would have been rectified if there had been a server. Items come out and are dropped off like the staff is in a hurry to get somewhere else. Food and beverages are delicious. It's the service that is lackluster.

Yelp
When the tire store down the street tells you it's a 2 hour wait to fix your flat tire, you take a walk and get something to eat. Note to self, do not order fish tacos from a place known for pizza. 3 very small fish tacos, each one with a small strip of cod and shreds of cabbage with no sauce whatsoever. The sauces that they came with were both too hot for me, so dry tacos. The cod was fried nicely, but they were tiny strips. Service is good. The music is too loud, it's great if you're a head banger, but otherwise it's irritating.

Yelp
Food awesome. Ice cream awesome. Beer is beyond incredible. I always try to have something new here. Today it was a turkey burger and coffee stout. Awesome! We sat at the bar this time and it was great. Think we will do that next time.

Yelp
Going on a Monday night makes a huge difference. We were able to spread out at a big table and the service was very attentive. The food came out hot and was wonderful. On a Saturday night, they are packed and as much as they aim for good service, it's just too crazy on a weekend to get any personal attention. It's a wild party on weekends, if you like that! We love the buffalo wings and ordering 20 is a great deal. Just the exact right amount of heat for me. They come with extra good blue cheese dressing with chunks of blue cheese. Even the carrot and celery sticks were fresh and looked appealing. We then cooled our mouths off with the wedge salad. We also had the Procuitto, Arugula and Burrata pizza, our favorite. The crust is thin and crisp. My husband had a turkey burger that was seasoned perfectly and a load of spicy seasoned fries. Yes, we over ordered, but had leftovers to take home. Lastly we shared a scoop of Coffee Brownie ice cream that was especially great. Perfect flavor combo. We love our Tarantula Hill! Support Local Businesses!

Yelp
Someone on social media called this Disneyland. To me, it's a great community gathering spot to meet with your family, friends, co-workers or even solo. There's food made in their kitchen instead of the usual food truck parked outside a brewery. There's something to please everyone. There's a craft beer bar, a cocktail bar, housemade ice cream bar, and an open kitchen. The food here is expensive. Even their happy hour specials are expensive -- isn't everything expensive these days? Don't expect any deals or value for your money here. My taco palate is elevated living in LA and traveling to cities in Mexico for tacos including Ensenada. Their battered fish tacos fell flat. Based on this food experience, I would skip their food and eat elsewhere in TO. If I spend a lot on food at restaurants now, it better be delicious and flavorful. The spiked root beer float was good, but nothing out of the ordinary...it tastes just like a regular root beer float. Except towards the end it was all creamy rum. By the time I scooped the ice cream, it was melted so I didn't get to taste the ice cream which is why I visited (to taste ice cream and drink their beer). They also need to invest in longer spoons for this drink costing almost $20 and they are pushing it to customers. After seeing the inflated prices online for food, my mind was set on getting a scoop of ice cream and a side car of craft beer as a pairing, but I was convinced to take another route. I always wanted to do a craft beer and ice cream pairing, but they don't seem to do this here matching ice cream flavors to beer. They need an in-house cicerone for this purpose lol. Paying my bill of $50 was "sticker shock." I don't think I have ever spent this much at a brewery... And I have visited a lot of them in California and during my travels. The service was very attentive and friendly. The best part of my visit. This is the reason why I wouldn't mind returning again to try their beer. Nice people. I would be a regular here and maybe just for a place to hang out with the local community. If the service experience was bad, I would not return. Too bad their live music was outside when it was pretty cold last night. It would have been nice to hear live music inside while at the bar. It looks like they have regular live music so follow their IG for details if you live in the Conejo Valley and support your local Disneyland brewery.

Yelp
Kind staff and great drinks. The perfect place for grabbing beers after work. Their tequila sunrise is fantastic, and I love their 5oz beer options. I recommend their adobo fries with aoili sauce for bites to share with friends.

Yelp
Yes, yes and yes. Everything about this brewery was great. The staff was very helpful and attentive, the beer was tasty and they had many to choose from depending on what you like and the prosciutto pizza was delectable.. the parking is a little hard but worth the wait. Don't walk..run to tarantula hill!
