The Best Way to Spend a Weekend Eating, Drinking, and Sightseeing in Minneapolis | Eater Twin Cities

"A downtown arena that regularly draws crowds for professional sports (including WNBA games) and concerts; positioned within walking distance of casual North Loop dining options for pre-game or pre-show meals." - Julie Yu

The Best Food and Drinks at Target Center for Basketball Night in Minneapolis | Eater Twin Cities

"I find Target Center, while the home of the Minnesota Lynx and Timberwolves, equally notable for its impressive line-up of concessions; executive chef David Fhima has added stellar options this year that go beyond the ubiquitous hot dog and popcorn, making it a great spot for exceptional snacks on hoops night." - Alex Lodner

Google
This was a much better experience than previously. The sound and seats were great. Beverages and food slightly high priced. They were well staffed if you needed assistance finding anything. Very nice and helpful. Will definitely go back to this facility.

Google
First time going to this arena for a concert. It was amazing, could see perfectly fine from the upper level. Really enjoyed the sky walk from parking to the venue and back. Linkin Park

Eve P.

Google
We saw Sleep Token here and the show was ASTOUNDING but security confiscated someone’s Flamingo outfit for the show with no real explanation. The outfit wasn’t dangerous or disrespectful and the fans all loved it. I’m all for venues being diligent in security checks but a flamingo costume? Lol. Overall - I would probably not choose to visit the venue again unless necessary.

Google
It was super difficult to find our seats. When we got to our section, I asked the man working that section how to get to our seats. He directed me wrong. We climbed the steep stairs to find out it was the wrong section. Went back down and climbed the next set of steep stairs to find our seats. Tickets were expensive($86x2 for nosebleeds). Parking was expensive ($45). Merch was expensive($45 for a t-shirt). Drinks were INSANE ($18 for a bottle of water and a bottle of coke). But the experience was unforgettable!

Google
Great game tonight. Wolves stomped out the defending champs OKC. 112-107 if I remember correctly. Great atmosphere in the arena as usual. One staff member in particular ( a man ) in section 226 was sort of a dink but otherwise top notch 👌🏼

Google
We went to see Pantera. After seeing them last time at the BankOne stadium I wasn't expecting very good acoustics. I was pleasantly surprised. All three bands sounded amazing we could see everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had a blast. Will return!

Google
The venue is very nice! The AC works killer from where I sat. Parking was a cinch. Signage was excellent. Everyone at the venue was able to answer all of my questions. The guys checking the tickets were pretty funny too. Exiting the both venue and the parking structure was a breeze. And Target Center looked to be filled for the concert also.

Kiersten M.

Google
The Target Center was very clean, the staff working the Lynx game were great. Main thing to know especially if coming from out of town....there is no bathroom in the main lobby while waiting to get into your event. The closest rest room is a cross the street at Jimmy John's and you need a code from the staff there to get into it. (I did not need to buy anything at Jimmy Johns to get the code), but we had an amazing experience!

Yelp
Clean Organized service staff Come check out the Target Center! My first time here for a work function and it didn't disappoint!

Yelp
Been here for several venues and Minnesotans tend to knock the Target Center. I keep thinking what a fun place to see a game or a concert. I have been in nose bleeds and suites both environment's are energy packed and fans here are committed. Moving from LA and I am glad it's 30 minutes from the suburbs and parking is easy

Yelp
Oh, Target Center. You were not at all ready for the Iowa Hawkeyes to come to town. Entering Caitlin Clark and Company's first game of the B1G Women's Basketball Tournament was easily the most insane, poorly managed experiences I've ever lived through. To be fair, the Target Center may have been at a disadvantage due to how the conference sold tickets. The tournament sold out for the first time EVER in its thirty years. The difference between the WBB and MBB tickets is that one only sells assigned seats to the general public and the other only offers general admission. Guess which sold the GA? Yep, the sold out WBB Tourny. GA tickets really are a cluster when it comes to a sellout crowd, it requires a lot more management on the venue's part which unfortunately the Target Center didn't plan for. 20,000 fans were in line for hours, and wandering the skywalk for legit miles to find the end without an employee in sight to help or direct. There was no signage, no barriers and no time! Due to this being the second session of the day, and the arena clearing everyone who had attended the previous game; literally all the fans had about an hour to find the end of the line and get through to the single entrance. What a cluster! That all being said-- there's not a bad seat at the Target Center. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Prices were a bit much, but that's to be expected. Once we were actually in the arena, the staff we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Security moved quickly. Installing and using the AXS app definitely had some fans scratching their heads (as they're used to having a ticket to put in their virtual wallet at our home games). The whole scenario was mind blowing and was definitely a learning moment for the league and venue. I hope no one ever has to go through that again! My kiddos were exhausted and cranky by the time we got to our seats.

Yelp
Go Wolves! We love coming to see games here at target center to root for our basketball teams - the lynx are just as great. The food options here have great variety but definitely come prepared to pay upwards of $20+ with tip. Beers and cocktails also come at premium priced but there is a wide variety available. We had a NUTRL watermelon and a beer and paid just under $30 for our two drinks. Staff at food and drinks booths are friendly and helpful and do a good job of keeping up on the pregame and halftime lines but it's easiest to grab a quick bite or snack during a play review to skip the lines. Entry into games is easy and fast with only a quick ride up the escalator, ticket scan, and walk through a metal detector required to get inside the stadium. The crowds here are great, definitely slightly less family friendly than the baseball or soccer games I've been to here but the fans are involved and fun without getting too over the top - just don't be shocked to hear swearing around you after a particularly bad call. The graphics and music here are fun and really add to the experience. Additionally, there is a lot of crowd engagement with T-shirt giveaways, halftime shows, and little challenges being played during commercial breaks. We have varied between 100 and 200 level seating depending on how early we buy tickets and there really isn't a bad place to sit in the arena. We look forward to continuing to support the wolves through the next season!!!!

Yelp
Saw a Timberwolves game here. As far as arenas go, it's nothing special. We got some Walking Tacos. I loved that, except that they didn't actually take care in preparing them, and as a result we got no meat. In many cases with NBA arenas: if you've seen one you've seen them all. That applies here.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Target Center in years but I don't feel like much has changed. We recently attended the Cage the Elephant concert here. We enjoyed the show and had so much fun! The views were good from the back lower level. The seats were roomier in the hips than other venues I've been to, but unfortunately the sound quality was not the greatest for a concert. It could have been our seating section (we were in section 106, Row N) but there was definitely a drum like echo that we kept hearing. We did get 2 beers & cheese curds and it was over $50 after tip. Everyone working was friendly and we were able to get in through security super quick. Even with the couple negatives, we still had a great time and would be back, especially for a Timberwolves game!

Yelp
Target Center is fairly well-designed and easy to get around. I've been here for a few Timberwolves and Lynx games. In 2022-23, I was excited to see the Wicked Kitchen stand which was a fully vegan concession spot. As of December 2023, the stand is gone but the Wicked Kitchen plant based brat ($14) still remains (available near gate 138 and at some grab and go spots). It's pretty tasty, but messy. I saw that one other spot had the Wicked Kitchen vegan desserts, too. So while the stand is gone, some of the food items remain, which is nice. Otherwise Target Center isn't nearly as vegan-friendly as Target Field, which has Herbivorous Butcher brats, vegan burgers and channa masala (from Hot Indian).
google avatar

Eden M.

Yelp
Target center is easily accessible located in what is the heart of Minneapolis. I was in town to see the Lynx play. It looks smaller from first point of view. Once inside it is very large. Lines moved quickly compared to most venues. I find the only seats I would never purchase are in the 200's complete nose bleeders. I prefer a closer view. Bathrooms I visited were well kept. Lines moved fast even with massive crowds. They have a self serve beer cooler that automatically know a what you are purchasing I found that really neat. Food options they had a little bit of everything. There are stands with vegan options. Overall an amazing arena to visit for events.

Yelp
i love the atmosphere at target center, especially during wolves games! there's plenty of concession stands, and some can detect your purchase via a scanner. security lines can take a while (5-10 minutes) sometimes. i wish the entrance/exit was a little bigger or that there are multiple entrances/exits but there is just one. there's plenty of public parking lots nearby for cheap, ranging from $7-20. street parking is difficult near the arena, but sometimes there's spots a few blocks away. however, you'll need to pay the event rate. overall rating: 8/10
google avatar

Whitney T.

Yelp
I am a frequent flyer at the target center as we watch a lot of the Timberwolves games. I love the atmosphere. The food is great. It's a very welcoming arena and I've been to a lot of areas because I'm definitely a basketball junkie.
google avatar

Nate B.

Yelp
I would say the Target Center is a very nice venue, the last update/renovation making it an even nicer arena. It has good food options (Parlour Burger for example), pretty good sight lines, the sound is good, and the atmosphere of live events can be really special. It doesn't have the same really modern features as the newer stadiums out there (I'm sure that a new arena would be built a little more efficient ot to allow the "nose bleed seats" to not be so far away from the action), but I think it is a really nice arena that feels like an NBA arena & works great. I don't think they really need a new arena, as this one checks all the boxes. The concourses can get pretty jammed and wider concourses would be preferable, but that is totally fine and unacceptable. They could use some theoretically inexpensive upgrades such as water refill stations rather thank just a small one faucet drinking fountain every so often, which slightly improves the fan experience. I've seen one concert here (Arcade Fire) and it had great sound & Ive also seen a few other events (Monster Jam I think & Disney on Ice), which I've been really happy with as well.
google avatar

Tim T.

Yelp
Great stadium. Looks smaller than what it is. Intimate. Open concourses and great gear shop. #21 on our tour and one of the nicer stadiums we have been to.
google avatar

Daisy B.

Yelp
Had a great experience. Security check was quick. You can pre order your food from your mobile app and choose from the multiple restaurants in the app.
google avatar

Mr Q.

Yelp
Easy to access the Target Center. Parking lots everywhere, pricing varies. Facility is older. Lots of beverage options.

Lori R.

Yelp
The security is awful. They take their authority way too far. Maybe even illegally. We paid $150.00 a seat but do to some unfortunate circumstances we didn't get to them before they kicked us out for standing in the entrance area.
google avatar

Yelp
What are a really cool venue. First timer here went to a Timberwolves game on a Thursday night. Lucky enough to score some suite tickets from work. Whoop whoop! So it was interesting where our suite was the TI section that the food is buffet style outside of the actual suites. The food was alright but nothing spectacular. They have a great team shop on the main floor where I ventured at halftime and bought my first Timberwolves shirt. I parked on ramp A and found it incredibly easy to find my way in and out but didn't realize until I left the parking garage that there was a skyway from the parking garage to target center. And it's so cool that First Avenue is right across the street. Iconic!
google avatar

Maggie Y.

Yelp
We went to a game earlier this year thanks to my boss who has season tickets and offers them to staff! We were sitting pretty close to the players and their stretching area as well. The lines moved fast at the entrance, the halftime games were fun to watch and the food was good for a game/event. We did drive here, and parked in Ramp A, and used the skyway since it was winter. Overall it's a great place for events!
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
It's an arena....everything one would expect by going to an arena. Ushers are nice and Grub is not to pricey
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
I've been here maybe 5 times total. I remember when they had red seats back in the day. After parking at a Twins game, it's best to park in parking ramp b for safety and ease by taking the skyway directly to target center. I was recently here for the Carrie Underwood and Jimmie Allen concert. My original seats were supposed to be in section 139. Carries's second stage was there so we had an upgrade to side of the stage in 129 row 5. I like that you get a paper printout of your ticket after they scan your phone. What I didn't like was not paying for a water with cash. I had to use a card and sales tax was added for a bottle of water. Of course, they have a line for a tip. My ears were ringing as I got home and went to bed. The concert was so awesome.
google avatar

Dan H.

Yelp
Came to B1G tournament, all 5 days. After 3 days of games sitting in section 138 row F, had to set behind people and all I could see was the back of their head. row F has no raise to the seats. If you are thinking of going to the Target Center do not get a seat in section 138 row F, unless you are 7 feet tall.
google avatar

Brad L.

Yelp
I come to the Target Center mainly for concerts, but also see a few Timberwolves games from time to time. I honestly can say that the sound system here is way better than it used to be years ago. After the remodel they did, everything seems so much better. We really loved the fact that if you have floor tickets and want to be front row, you can wait inside if you show up early enough. Had no clue about this option until recently and we were able to watch the lines form from across the street at Kierans. Beer and drinks are still pretty expensive, however I feel that its expected for shows and events. They had a good variety of drink options.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Our first time here, very nice stadium. Reminds me of the Metrodome, but much nicer. Plenty of parking around allowing for a fast exit out of downtown. There was so many options of food on the inside that if you're running out of time there's no worry. As for the inside, there's not a bad seat.
google avatar

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for a Wolves game on a Wednesday night and ended up leaving early. I'm not a huge NBA fan, but I love a high energy sports game. I'm 24, so I don't mind loud and crazy events - but this just felt out of hand. The music was so loud I left with a headache, and the sound was nonstop throughout the game. The songs changing every minute became extremely annoying. Even my boyfriend who loves the Timberwolves was driven nuts. The energy wasn't great here, so it was hard to stay interested in the game if you're not a huge fan. I'm originally from Chicago, so I grew up with Bulls games with fun energy that kept you in your seat. I will say that the staff at the stadium are great! We had a great experience with any we met.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
Update: 10 years later, back to see Muse again . It's a whole new crew but they are just as awesome. Our entry to the GA floor was as smooth & stress free as is possible for a bunch of crazy fans. Friends from out of town ( and a few from other countries) were again impressed. We wish every big arena knew how to treat music fans this well.
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
My first time at Target Center for a Timberwolves game and I am thoroughly impressed. The food options are phenomenal. I grabbed a Parlour burger (yes that Parlour) and it was delicious. Parking is easy as it is skyway connected so you can park at Ramp A/B/C. I don't think there is a bad seat there as the sound just spreads throughout the place. Extremely fun and already looking forward to another game.
google avatar

Kyle P.

Yelp
The Timberwolves have a really nice arena here and I love seeing games and shows here. The problem comes with the staff and their extreme tendency to over do everything when it comes to the ticket and security checkpoints. At one large concert they forced doors to open 45 minutes late which left some openers for the show to have almost no crowd by the time they started playing. The staff seems to pick and choose their battles against fans when they please and that will always draw me away
google avatar

Brittany W.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times to watch both the Timberwolves and the Lynx. I went through/ had Lexus club access each time-- and I was so deeply disappointed by the food. Especially for the lynx. They definitely get the short end of the stick! However, I always had good seats-- sometimes I could've reached out and touched a player. I won't be back in MN for a while, but my biggest advice if they want to up season tickets is to fix that food. I am from Georgia and let me tell you: Phillips Arena and Mercedes Benz stadium KNOW FOOD.
google avatar

Belinda C.

Yelp
My co-worker and I were in town for a conference and on our our last night we decided to find something to do. We found out that TwentyOne Pilots was in town for a concert and decide to book the tickets last min. We arrived early and got parking across the street. Parking was around 18.00 which is cheap for SF prices. We got in pretty fast and the security was quick. The seats were pretty easy to find because they had pretty good signage. The place is pretty clean, esp the restrooms. The seats we had, were a great view for the price we paid! There are a lot of restaurants nearby and it seems like there is public transportation that takes you straight here. I also saw on the map that the walkways will take you straight here. Overall, great location!
google avatar

Al K.

Yelp
If y'all like to howl, get yourself to a twolves game. Do yourself a favor and get a delicious sprite from the concession stands to when your whistle for all the howling you'll be doing. Entertainment was great! Not my first time here so some of the things weve already seen, but great nonetheless. It's a bit pricey depending on what you get. Overall not a bad seat in the house. Glad we came back and we'll be coming again!!
google avatar

Yelp
We have been Timberwolves season ticket holders since the inaugural season in 1989. The Target Center has changed so much...well it didn't exist in 1989 as those first game were in the Metrodome. Remember that place? Not a great place to watch basketball (I saw Final Four there in 2001 -- the court looked like a postage stamp). I have enjoyed many basketball games, and agonized over many basketball games in Target Center. Eastview High school boys and girls played in the state tournament there. Lindsay Whalen and the Lynx -- great games. I saw U2 there. So many good memories. Target Center is easy to get to. I typically park at LaSalle and walk a few blocks to avoid additional crowds and traffic. There are many great places to grab a cocktail and snack before a game, Crave, Union, and Seven being a few of my favorites. The recent remodeling is great. I've sat in nearly every major area, court side, club level, suites, upper and lower decks. We have enjoyed our season tickets over the years. It's a good place to enjoy games and concerts. Go Wolves! Go Lynx!
google avatar

Heather J.

Yelp
Handicapped parking and instructions are terrible. Once inside, staff were helpful, but had to push wheelchair very long way thru parking ramp even from a "handicapped" spot in ramp A.
google avatar

Binio L.

Yelp
Excellent place. Clean and nicely organized to direct you to your section or seat or food or beverage. Adjacent parking. Easy in and out. Of course plan accordingly to stay in your seat a bit after the event or take advantage of your parking and head out to a restaurant close by while hundreds of cars leave gradually. Great personnel helping on events and the whole process flows really smoothly.
google avatar

Lance D.

Yelp
Great experience , ease of finding what you looking for & quick self checkout service

Yelp
Great experience at the Wolves/Lakers Game Friday night. Parking was very close and easy to get in and out of the arena. We only got a hotdog and it was ok but the bun was a little hard. Lakers won!!!
google avatar

Marie C.

Yelp
I went to one Timberwolves game and had a great experience! From the outside the arena looks pretty tiny and just like another building downtown. But Target Center's location makes it great to be able to pre-game or grab post-game drinks. Uber and Lyft pick up is also pretty easy. All event staff were really nice and had great upbeat energy for the game! They also do their best to regular the crowds and ensure safety. The only other notable thing is I think the jumbotron in the center of the arena is kind of small.
google avatar

Paige O.

Yelp
The last few times I was at Target Center was for the Timberwolves games. We parked in Ramp C and took the skyways right to the center. Getting in the center was pretty straight forward and very fast. Staff was very efficient as getting through everyone and were decent to deal with. Since we hadn't ate yet, we decided to grab something for the game. We decided to go with Parlour's burgers. Wow. These burgers were so great. Maybe it was because we were starving. But this is most likely the best part of our experience here. The only downside was they were a little expensive. The seats we had were upper level seats, nothing fancy at all. The seats were overall fine, it was just a little crowded and wasn't very much room. For someone who needs to stretch their legs, this was not fun. I got up and walked around as much as I could just to tech a bit. Overall the Target Center is a good facility. It is expensive, but that is to be expected.
google avatar

Markus G.

Yelp
Went here to watch the Timberwolves play OKC and it was our first time there to watch a T-Wolves game. After getting through the long lines where they make sure no one brings anything in there they shouldn't we tried to find our seats. We purchased some water $5 a bottle was to be expected with being at a game and all. We went to the curtain which had our number over it so we would know where to sit but it was too many people there on the one side so we went to the other side and sat down. For a tall guy it's kind of crammed, can't really move your feet much. There was beer spilled and they came to clean it up right away. The seats were up high but perfect to still see the game on the Jumbotron and also on the stadium. Great entertainment and the Wolves showed up and showed out, I'll be looking into getting some season tickets next year.
google avatar

Lex S.

Yelp
Excellent venue. Well kept, clean, and outstanding service. Combined with the wolves, the mobile app is extremely helpful and I use it buy tickets and merchandise. Love seeing basketball games here. The quality is so high at this venue, I may be tempted to purchase Lexus courtside club tickets next time I go to a game, just to really see what this venue has to offer.
google avatar

Thomas H.

Yelp
Relatively nice area. Went to the /Wolves/Bulls game and had a good time. The area a itself is well maintained and aesthetically pleasing on the inside. Lots of vendors and food options. The staff of the area a was very nice from the ticket takers to the vendors. I'd suggest if you go to a game with two last place teams playing buy your tickets at game time, you might get a slightly better price. Well worth a visit if you like NBA games.

Yelp
This is not a bad place to see a show. I saw Metallica here and it was a freaking amazing show!! The sound system, lights, seats... everything was amazing! The stage and bit were 360°, so there was hardly a bad seat in the house. The line to enter was orderly and moved quickly. There were multiple entrances, and various gates, as well as staff on hand to control the bottlenecks and inform patrons of other entrances with shorter lines. The prices for beer and concessions were more reasonable than I've seen at most Arenas, and they even sold a Metallica themed beer. There were several areas to buy T-shirts and merchandise, including the Timberwolves Team Store, which had been converted into a Metallica Merchandise Shop for the evening. The only reason I knocked off of star is because the ushers didn't seem to know very much about the seating arrangements in the arena. I showed them my ticket, but it was easily a good 20 minutes before I was shown to my seat. Several of the ushers conferred about where this seat actually was, but no one knew for sure. On top of that, one of the ushers recommended that I sit in a nearby seat until the ticket holder for that seat arrive and kicked me out. Ummmmm, no. I Insisted that he find my correct seat, and eventually he did, but that recommendation... I'm still scratching my head at that one.

Yelp
I have not been to the Target Center for a while. I was pleasantly surprised. It seems much nicer than before. They have so many food choices from popular MPLS restaurants. Such as Parlour, Fhima's, Pagoda's etc... I was super surprised to see this. For event parking in the ramp it was only $10 which is a great deal! Being able to park in the ramp makes it easy to attend any event here. I was seeing parking outside for $15 or more for "event". So parking at the ramp is definitely a better deal.
google avatar

Fran N.

Yelp
This rating is for Fhima's at Target Center. I have never paid $14 for such tasteless chicken. There was absolutely no seasoning sprinkled on the chicken, it was very over cooked and the BBQ sauce that provided was a marinara concoction that should not be called at BBQ sauce. Save you money and just get a hot dog from another concessions stand. Or the burger from Parlour next door!

Yelp
Last night I attended the Target Center(TC) for the Millennium Tour. Earlier I was at Cargo Food Authority with my friends for Trivia Night so I was a little late to the concert. No problem though right, it's not like they start on time. I entered TC and was walking to my Cheap Seats, because you know, the tickets were expensive, but I wanted to still treat myself to this experience. As I walk that way a security lady stopped me and looked at my ticket, she stated that that location has been closed already because too many people kept coming and going, and they had a strict no re-entry once people left. She told me I had to go to Guest Services because I was being transferred. All I thought was 'OH CRAP'! As I waited in the Guest Service line, my anxiety rose. Finally, I got to the window and showed the lady my ticket and explained what the security lady told me. She expressed understanding to what I said, and told me to wait a second. As I waited I started to sweat a little more. 'Did I do something wrong, 'Am I going to have to pay more?', 'Well guess this isn't the best experience, and I shouldn't treat myself ever again.' Clearly these are all of the thoughts going through my head. Well...because I was late, and I wasn't rude about the whole situation (she said a few people were yelling at her for having to be transferred to a different cheap seat section), SHE TRANSFERRED ME TO WAY BETTER SEATS! So instead of being transferred to a different cheap seat section that was still open, she gave me lower level seats, and 1 section away from the stage! WOOOHOOO! After having a REALLY LONG APRIL, this was one of the best treats, and I thank the lady who worked there and helped me! I wish I remembered her name because she was so sweet about it all. (Maybe this is a common thing, maybe it isn't, regardless, being nice no matter what goes a long way) At TC there are food and beverage vendors, all very expensive, so I didn't partake in buy anything, but it was nice to see that even for the concert there was quite a selection of things open for people. The bathrooms are all over which is also great, along with plug-ins for those needing to charge electronics. I have been to the TC one other time years ago for the Newsboys Concert, and I felt like they did more with their Visuals and Stage Set-up, then the Millennium Tour Acts, but that is just my opinion. Overall, like everything fun in this world, it's expensive, but I had a great time, and I don't regret going. If there are other things happening here in the future, if I want to go bad enough, I will go. I would like to suggest that people going to concerts or big events get to park for free since we are already spending a ton on the tickets, but parking in the lots is extra. However, that is just wishful thinking on my part.

Yelp
I was definitely impressed after a 5 year hiatus away from the target center. The renovations aren't holistic: the concourses are still pretty low budget, but the scoreboard, court and seating experience are definitely elevated. The 50% off everything for season ticket holders is a crazy good perk. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
Last Sunday I was all set to be a couch potato and watch the Wolves game on TV while consuming a delvery pizza. My son cajoled me into going to the game with him. I'm really glad he did. We had a great time. We purchased two upper deck, fourth row, mid-court seats for $35 each. Compared to the dark days of the not too distant past when courtside seats could be had for a song, these may not have been a huge bargain. But the sightlines were fine and the action compelling. No complaints. As good the T-Wolves are, they are still a work in progress. They'll have nights when nothing seems to gel and they experience growing pains. Making the ups and downs easier to take is the newly renovated Target Center. Gone are the days when Target Center was a dark, cramped, stale smelling venue that seemed to reek of missed opportunities, chronic setbacks, disastrous luck and head-scratchingly obtuse decision making. Frankly, one felt trapped in an overall pall of despair on entry. But wonder of wonders! It's now brighter, cleaner, more spacious and is so transformed as to almost appear to be brand new. Food choices have expanded and improved. Staff nearly uniformly welcoming and courteous. To top it off, we were in and out of the B ramp in relatively short order. I have a feeling we'll both be back sooner than later. Maybe next time we'll stick around downtown after the game for a post-game bite to eat.

Yelp
It gets the job done when it comes to Basketball games and concerts, but man this place needs a facelift. We came here recently for the Lynx's playoff game and the seats we sat in were stained by some many different questionable fluids. The green seats really show their wear and tear. I know that they stadium is already in the process of renovations, so that is good to see. I am hoping we will get better food options, new seats, and maybe some nicer restrooms? We shall see... In all reality though, at least we have a place to watch basketball and concerts. I'm happy with that.

Yelp
First off, I absolutely love the target center. I used to be employed out there. Obviously I haven't been there in years. But it was frustrating. You pay so much money for an event (wwe) and for the tickets. Being that I have lived away from the twin cities for maybe 7ish years, came back for a cvisit and decided to bring my kids to the show. You do all the walking to get into the gate only 2 find out your only allowed to carry in see thru backpacks. (Which I'd never do, because we're in America and freedom is suppose to be free. Soldiers died for our freedom) what really got me though was the fact that you cannot leave to go back out. It is designated for the smokers to not be able to smoke I'm sure. But never the less what the heck. You pay a lot of money for these events, and get told u can't do this or do that. It's almost like there trying to punish smokers. Like why would it matter.!? They could have a smoke shelter In place for these people. But nope you leave u have a good night. I left at 840 and am very disappointed in the target center. I get that smoke stinks. But come on where is the freedom for a person to do what they please. I will not be returning in the future now that I will be come a permanent resident of minnesota. I'm giving 2 stars and that's only because it was nice and clean

Yelp
I went to the Timberwolves home opener. It has been a while since I have been here. They did a lot of nice remodeling. It was very clean and there were a wide variety of food items and drink options. I had a great time and would definitely recommend going to an event here. There was near by parking garages and skyways that connect to the Target Center.

Yelp
The Target Center is a very nice building in downtown Minneapolis. I came here for the Black Keys concert in September. While I usually try to stay away from bigger venues such as this for concerts, we couldn't pass up this one. The tickets were of course a bit pricy. We did have really good seats though. I would suggest parking in the Target Center/Filed ramps. I think we did ramp A and it made everything pretty easy. There is a skyway so you never even have to go outdoors. I think it ended up costing about $10 for the night. Check in was easy. Security is pretty heavy so they will go through your bags. Drinks and food are expensive as one would expect. I think a tiny mixed drink was around $14. For seating, there is definitely not a shortage. We were on the side a little bit from the stage but it was perfect. We could see the band without being blasted from the sound. I honestly think these seats are better than the floor seats. The venue is clean and spacious. Is it my top choice for a concert? No. I would rather go to a smaller local place. But if someone I really love comes to Target Center, I would go again.
