This store has the most disgusting bathrooms. I noted the bathrooms have not been inspected since 12pm. It stinks like pee and the floors are gross. Menswear has cloths and shoes everywhere with most staff wandering around just collecting things for I think pick up. Staff at the dressing room are on their phones. Targets my favorite place. This location is run down and gross especially in the evenings.

Google
This Target in the middle of the Heights should feel like an upscale, pleasant shopping experience given its location, but it’s the exact opposite. The store feels outdated, dim, and depressing the moment you walk in. The layout is tired, the atmosphere is uninviting, and it doesn’t match the standard Target is supposed to deliver. For such a central Houston location, it’s incredibly disappointing.

Google
I've spent many collective hours sitting outside this Target, so I figured it was time to leave a review. My wife loves stopping by here for "olive oil" or "toothpaste," which I’ve come to learn is code for “brace yourself for crippling credit card debt.” This trip, she’s been inside for over 45 minutes to buy some shirt hangers. Meanwhile, my dog (pictured below) and I have been enjoying the fine views from the parking lot. Based on our observations, the cart attendants do an impressive job of gathering carts from the chute and even stop to wrangle rogue money guzzlers (my name for the carts) on their way back. The "security cameras in use" signs make us feel safe and secure—always a plus! Overall, I’ve enjoyed this parking lot and much prefer it to the alternative of going inside to help pick out which color paper napkins we absolutely don’t need.

Google
Classic Target experience. Plenty of selection, great staff service, and high quality products. Very very busy due to location, it is consistently packed on the weekends. They are usually pretty good at stocking shelves and having plenty of inventory. Would recommend this to anybody in the area or any strong Target fans.

Google
I would recommend this target location to anyone. The store is always clean and well stocked. Not only that but they have exceptional customer service in their drive up. I have never had a bad experience and the associates that work there are lovely.

Google
Employee at the outdoor pickup was super rude, basically shoved the bag in the window without saying anything and walked away. Little girl wearing pigtails, definitely needs a different job.

Mariah Funches

Google
Target looks a mess. I guess after DEI policies changed they have very little employees.

Xaviera

Google
The option to get Starbucks with your drive up order should be disabled, especially if you have to wait 30 minutes for one drink and then when you get your drink it doesn’t even come sealed or with a straw! Also, please teach your employees that food should not go in the same bags as chemicals!

Yelp
My husband needed new apple air pods, I purchased his last ones at this location years ago and was an awesome experience. I stopped by yesterday after work, headed straight to the electronics department. A very nice gentleman by the name of Trey was very nice and informative of the differences between the air pods. I am not a tech person and it can be very confusing to shop for these types of items. So I really appreciated his kindness and patience in explaining everything to me. Trey made it so easy and seamless. Explaining the options for extra coverage as well. Thank you Trey for your 5 star customer service! Jennifer Smith

Yelp
This use to be my favorite location, but boy these employees.. I've never had the most unpleasant interactions before in my life. No smiles no hello no nothing. Self checkout is what I use and I needed sensors taken off my clothes. I approached the employee no acknowledgment of my presence just a blank stare, and when I asked to get my senses removed, no reply other than grabbing the items to remove the sensors. Like wow hello hi & I was like thank you. Sad to see how retail has gotten to be so negative. Glad I only do pick up orders and Amazon orders.

Yelp
I had a decent experience here the other day; returns were easy although not as fast as you would think with a line of only one person ahead of you. Shelves were decently stocked, some were really picked over and could have used reorganizing to not look bare. Staff overall was friendly.

Yelp
Will Never spend a penny in any of your stores. Your decisions are wrong & to be honest your a pretty shitty store.

Yelp
Just say, I have been to the Heights Target. I didn't have anything in particular. But I went straight to men's department to check out the clearance aisle. Since I didn't deal with a human, I can't speak about the service. But the layout at the grocery department was wacky. I had trouble to find single serving juices. I ended up buying the imitation juice. It costs about the same. Yikes.

Yelp
Always a great selection. Parking lot is always packed but it's in the city. What do you expect.

Yelp
Location: sawyer/Taylor Parking: plenty Staff: poorly customer service .went to look at Apple Watch. Arrived @5:30, theres was a total of 4 employees at the tech section. 3 were helping one customer and another one was helping a Spanish speaker customer. As I arrived I waited a few minutes, no one greeted and I continued to wait. After a few minutes I asked if someone can help. 2 guys in black shirt I guess target techs? Only said that only the guy in red could help. (Person who was helping another customer) girl in red just didn't say anything and continue chatting with each other. I've noticed they were all helping one customer and when I asked if any of them can help they said no to wait for other guy. Felt like very poorly service as well as no team help. After 30-40 minutes I've decided to leave.

Yelp
This has been my neighborhood Target for almost 8 years. This Target embodies everything Target does not want to represent. Argumentative employees who openly talk bad about customers, the organization of a flea market, and a very young manager who is WAY in over his head. This Target serves so many neighborhoods such as Downtown, The East End, The upper and lower Heights, midtown etc it's sad to see the way it has gone downhill. It's gotten so bad, they were featured on Grizzy's Hood News for a brawl inside of the store. 10/10 do not recommend, just travel to the Target on Westheimer in Montrose.

Yelp
I have a love/hate relationship with this Target. I've become accustomed to the suburban Targets that are larger, cleaner, and more organized. I like that it's close, but the way the products are organized in the store is random. Products run out fast, especially clothing, if you're a female and wear small sizes. The Bullseye Playground (sale section at the front) is well-stocked, but be quick and get what you want cause it won't be there tomorrow. The Ulta inside the store is great and convenient if you're already there but also planned on going to Ulta nearby. The Ulta section at Target has a decent selection, but it's not going to have everything like the actual store. What's great is you can link your Ulta rewards to your Target app. The mini Starbucks that's awkwardly placed at the front entrance can sometimes have a long line, which can be annoying as you walk in. Whatever happened to a nook where other locations have it, so it doesn't get in the way? I get a specialty medication delivered to their CVS pharmacy that requires refrigeration. They never call to tell me when it's delivered and ready. I either have to call or just show up to make sure it's there. I got a Covid booster here once, and I swear he stabbed me with the needle cause it dripped blood, and bruised. I'm in healthcare, and that's not how it should be. This location has a lot of self-checkout lanes, so you're not waiting long.

Yelp
Located in the heights area and only been here twice. Once right around Xmas 22 and today. Both times the parking lot is packed and the whole area around the area is busy. Today needed to buy a few shorts and shorts and surprisingly they're was a few open spots close to the building but a few Lanes from the front entrance. I was about to try to get any closer as I was happy to find a parking spot so quick. After I got my items and we went to pay my daughter took care of everything at self checkout we were in and out of the store pretty fast. Nice and clean store for as busy as it is and the few staff I interacted with was nice and helpful.

Yelp
Sleek, posh Target location! Clearly corporate has put some recent money into this spot in Houston. Considering the state of disrepair of the surrounding area and industrial buildings in the same block of the city, I was pretty surprised to step inside this Target and see it so nice inside, so my kudos to Target Corporation on providing a upscale, clean experience to a likely underserved demographic area. The employees seemed friendly and approachable for the most part, unlike some stores where employees will try to hide to avoid questions (you know the ones). Restrooms were clean and comfortable. Well-stocked shelves (though some could use a bit better organization, such as in toys). Checkout was smooth and easy to use the self-check out station.

Yelp
This is the third or fourth Target I've visited in Houston. It is a super store! Starbucks is to the left of the entrance. Also in that area is the bathroom and guest services. The store looks like they got the modern remodel. The make up section is pristine. It's really busy probably because of the holidays coming up. A lot of guests seem to use the pick up/drive up options here because most of the parking spaces here are reserved for that.

Yelp
None find a hat at the bottom shelf year round left in the corner stop in to find easy while waiting on my puck up last shopers ere at animals like have bad breath from the next aisle. We'll opinion but not for eight piolet.

Yelp
I love this Target! The target closest to us, where we are always able to get what we need or came for. We typically do drive up, and go during "non busy times" & are able to get our order quickly! The employees are so kind & efficient.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
I've only been here twice, but both times were food experiences. The store is large and seems mostly clean. The first time we went we ended up getting extra things we didn't need, my bf said the return was easy and quick. My second time going was to pickup and online order and I only had to wait maybe 4-5 minutes total to be helped and leave the store. I don't go to target too often anymore, but we just moved and might make a few more stops in the coming weeks. So far so good!

Yelp
I have sometimes found myself at Target for negative comments well this here is my target for negative comments although honestly I really like this target. Lots of very cute customers here, amazing really. Any time of any day it seems. Always very busy, some very rude shoppers. They have most of what you'd expect even though it's considerably smaller and more cramped than some Target scores. Barbie's take: Target is great. It has groceries and cute clothes and home decor and all kinds of things you don't need but end up putting in your basket. The real trap is the dollar section near the door, it has all kinds of cute kitsch for a few bucks. I can spend hours in here. This is the one I come to most often, especially when my boy toy drives me. Located in the Yale St Marketplace. This is a huge collection of shops located in the Houston Heights/Washington Corridor neighbourhood. It all seems brand new and they built it up a lot from what was just a few stores to now what is probably like, a hundred. Like totally. Parking and access for driving can be pretty bad, but on the whole they do a great job bringing brand name chain stores to the Posh people. It's close to the city but still manages to have a lot of good stuff. Barbie especially likes the Target here, and I like the customers of the Target here, sometimes. In the mid-day hour She shopped more, more, more With a Rebel Yale She shopped more, more, more More, more, more!

Yelp
I like this Target a lot. There is an older gentleman with white facial hair and a ponytail who is very kind and was willing to check the back for me without giving me any attitude. Every time I come here, I have a great experience. The parking is average hectic depending on what time you go. The inside Target is normal and usually has what I need/am looking for in stock.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
It's a target, so there's not much to say. Only thing I really wanted to share is that the aisle with the kombucha/dairy products always smells like human feces. I'm not sure why, but the past 3 times I've gone to that aisle it is just so foul.
google avatar

Yelp
The organization and supply chain issues of this Target has been pretty awful even far before COVID, but today is the straw. I hope it was worth it, Target, because I'm never giving a single dollar of mine nor my company's to you ever again. I don't care how inconvenient it may end up being, I will die on this hill. If you're going to build adjacent to numerous other businesses literally surrounding you, you need to be absolutely explicit that "retail parking only" doesn't mean all of the surrounding retail and specifically refers to only Target. I had my car inexplicably towed- even though I went to an establishment that is clearly connected to the large shopping center that this Target is in. I am absolutely dumbfounded they would act in such a mean spirited and predatory manner- there is NO signage that says it is Target parking only. I will absolutely make sure you lose far more than the $262 you just cost me for the 8 minutes my car was apparently parked there too long.

Yelp
Store is open till midnight, but dressing rooms are closed by 10:20pm. Half of what they sell is clothes.

Yelp
I simply came in to pick up a order while store wasn't busy and wasn't given the correct options before canceling my order

Yelp
Stopped by Target to get Toothbrush Protectors. Someone did a report on toothbrushes a couple of years ago on what gets on your brushes when they aren't protected. Not as bad if your toilet is in a space of its own. But when it's in the same room and you don't put the seat down when you flush, all kinds of bacteria can get on it, including dust. So, I buy these to keep dust and germs off. Real good to have when I travel. Target has them for $5.00, CVS has them for $9.00.
google avatar

Yelp
Not much more I can say about ordering online and picking up, especially around the holiday season. The staff were friendly and handled my groceries with care. I saw another customer order a coffee from the Starbucks that was brought out to her. I'm excited to try it in my next trip. Curb pick up is convenient and easy here at Target.

Yelp
Shearn st target hit a whole new level of suck today First off they had one person working customer service so I waited 15 minutes to return 1 item I had placed an order with 4 items for in store pick up bc I had to go in to return It wasn't done for over 3 hours and when it was it (while I was still waiting to return my item and would have then waited in another line to pick up) said 3 items were out of stock I cancelled the whole order on my app and walked around the store and EVERY item was there This is already known as the Walmart of targets , but today they proved that 10 fold Sadly it's the closest for people in the heights, but you're better off driving to the galleria if you want better service
google avatar

Yelp
This is the worst location in the area. Parking lot is ALWAYS chaos. There is ALWAYS construction going on in the store or around. Everything is ALWAYS out of stock.

Yelp
the selection is large but is also very subpar. this target is conveniently located on the hike/bike trail.
google avatar

Tiana J.

Yelp
This target is on my way home from work so I decided to stop here instead of going to the one just one stop past my house and that was not the best decision. I waited for 20 minutes in the tech to get one video game. I walked up to one tech person and they said they were helping someone and told me they would send the other rep over to that aisle so I stood and waited for about 10 minutes and then came back and there's 4 others waiting to get big items like TVs and gaming systems. The poor girl seemed to be working by herself without help from the other guy who definitely gave lazy vibes. This target is pretty well stocked but if you're going to need assistance getting something you might want to try another one if that's possible for you.

Yelp
I hadn't been to the Target on Shearn (I-10/Taylor) for 8 months, since I moved to the Galleria area. Well, I went today and will never go back. For one: they changed the lighting to a more efficient soft light, it's almost yellow!!! It's horrible!!! You feel like your walking through HAZE the whole time. Instead of saving money, you make the atmosphere feel dark and uninviting. Instead of items standing out and easily visible, it does the exact opposite. For two: the way they have layed out the store and redesigned it, makes it confusing and not shopper friendly at all!!! It took me ten minutes to find the chips!!! you expect them to be in the same place as they are in other Targets, but they are in the back against the wall!!!! The store is unorganized, messy, not welcoming and most of all the lighting is HORRIBLE!!!! I will never shop there again. I actually got a headache from squinting in that poorly lit store!!!

Yelp
Absolutely disgusted with the employees at this location. I came here for a pick up order and selected the drive up option. I'll preface this by stating that I had ordered one of my orders two days ago and mistakenly selected this location believing I had selected the "south central" location. This was absolutely my fault, therefor I thought I would make the best out of a bad situation, as this location is very far from my house, and place a second order at this target and pick it all up at the same time. I placed this second order well before the supposed "2 hour" pick up window. I was worried as I kept checking the app and my items were still "processing" after three hours. Being diligent I called the store for an ETA. The individual on the other end of the phone assured me that it would be ready by the time I arrived to the Target location as they could see on their side that it had been more than 2 hours since I made the purchase. When the time came I drove to the central location target and showed the employee my drive up ID. They set my first order in the seat and I attempted to ask about the second order I placed this morning and he rudely and loudly cut me off and told me that he saw it and it's not ready yet and furthermore that I should know that processing orders takes 2 to 6 hours. How on earth am I supposed to know this when the website saws it will be a two hour processing time before pick up? Honestly do yourself a favor and avoid this location the employees are rude and do not care a bit about customer service.

Yelp
This target is pretty standard. It seems well stocked, employees are helpful when asking about where things are in the store, it was clean, and there was lots of parking.
google avatar

Yelp
Called in regards to a return & spoke with Taylor. She was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to answer my questions/concerns.

Yelp
Emanuel from TECH or near toys, he was so lazy and so rude when I asked him for help , he simply told me that no one was able to help cuz he wasn't working in the aisle I was asking help and then he just slowly walk away. And honestly ask for help there is like searching for peace in the world, IMPOSIBLE, and the saddest thing is this not my first time dealing w Emanuel... very lazy and rude /passive aggressive. He probably needs improvement or motivation or simple target / costumer services are not his thing.
google avatar

Pam A.

Yelp
Today's trip was much better. Although I didn't find what I came there for, I was able to snag a rug on sale. Home goods section was still very much depleted. Maybe I caught them on a bad day since tax free weekend ended yesterday and folks are gearing up for college. Aside from that, I'm usually able to find essential items such as toiletries and beauty stuff.

David G.

Yelp
I went in mid August looking for a pair of men's flip flops. There was no selection. What I mean, there were none to choose from. Not even a less used size. When I spoke with customer service they checked, shrugged and said nope oh well. The fact that this is Texas and it's been over 100° for the last 2 1/2 months I would think they might've ordered some more had them
google avatar

Yelp
This is a Nice clean store. I've never had an issue here. Very cool modern app boasting augmented reality in quite realistic form, nice to know they're keeping up with technology!

Gabriela Q.

Yelp
I went to a nearby target to get a few things with my sister and so we decided to get starbucks. Of course it's inside the target as we go we are ordering and this employee has a mad face on he looks annoyed and like he doesn't like his job , we are ordering and i told him exactly what i wanted twice we get our drinks and they are not what i wanted. i wanted a dragon fruit lemonade blended and it wasn't even blended. i hope his manager sees this and gets told something bad costumer service. Yelp
I feel like Target doesn't get enough review love. But their delivery (to my car) service, and now the addition of groceries, has made this awful thing "the time COVID ruined" so much easier. Thank you, Target Staff in Montreal/the Heights, for being so friendly and social distancing so well. Love you forever, Sutton
google avatar

Yelp
Tried to get assistance with a pay as you go SIM card in their tech department yesterday - bored & disinterested staff members just pointed vaguely in the direction of where to look & continued doing what they were doing. No offer of help whatsoever. I am visiting from Australia & needed assistance! I ended up getting a sim which I now discover is not compatible with my phone. Not a hint or a glimmer of customer service to be seen! Not impressed! Guess we're used to a far superior level of service down-under. Furthermore - the store was severely under stocked and shockingly untidy. I LOVE Target and was expecting sooo much more. Very disappointing shopping experience indeed.

Yelp
While staying in Houston, our hotel was not far from this Target and we thought that would be very convenient. Unfortunately, we waited over 55 minutes in the drive up and ended up just choosing to come back the next morning when it would hopefully be less busy. When we got there the next day, over half of the order said it was out of stock even though it did not say low in stock when ordering it the day before. It was holiday time so that happens, I get it. The problem is that when we went in to pick up the order instead of waiting at drive up again, we saw the "out of stock" items (and many of them, at that) while we were picking up a few additional items. Once we got back from the pickup, we also realized that we were missing 2 items in the bag. I got back on the app to see if they had been cancelled too, but they had not. They had been marked as picked up. I will say that every staff member we saw was working very hard and was friendly, so it wasn't a problem of laziness. It seemed like more of an organization problem.

Yelp
This Target is always packed and it is hit or miss that they will have what you are looking for. The one thing that sets this Target apart for others around town is that it has a very small section for kids and babys clothes compared to others. Not sure why but we were even talking to other customers about this today. Also, at times, like today, they had to have had 30 people in the return line and it was moving so slow. I'm glad we decided to hold off on the returns because even after our 45 minutes of shopping in the store the lines was still just as long. Parking lot, restrooms, and cafe are always clean.

Desiree W.

Yelp
I really needed a kitchen torch for desserts and the store rep Jonathan went above and beyond to help. Really appreciate his patience and willingness to help.

Yelp
Good selection, but some people without masks, and store gets very crowded on the weekend.

Yelp
This was my go to target for years, but it seems that they're always ran sacked. I'm not sure what is going on with the wall to the right as soon as you walk in. It's overwhelming. Almost feel like everything is everywhere

Yelp
Who gives a target 3 stars? This place is great. Tons of reasonably priced stuff at your fingertips. Overworked but kind staff. And great random sales. Plenty of parking too. What am I missing? I go to this one all the time.

Yelp
Scarlett, the beautiful cashier who helped me today was absolutely wonderful! She made my day just by asking little questions about myself while checking me out. She deserves recognition for going above and beyond to make her customers feel cared for. I truly appreciate you!

Yelp
Gia in the electronics department was so helpful. Gia went above and beyond to help me even though my questions were not in her department. What great customer service! Thanks Gia!

Yelp
I have been on the hunt for the Black History Month dolls by Harper Iman morning. I called target and they said they had four on hand. When I got to the store Lexus started to help me and later Rebecca joined the hunt. Rebecca looked on the floor, looked up the item in her hand held device, and finally discovered several dolls in the stock room. When she brought me a cart full of dolls, I leap for joy and could not hide my happiness. Thank you so much target thank you so much for Rebecca and Lexus for helping me find these beautiful dolls. #purejoy #dedication

Yelp
Taylor in customer service was great and management handled my very difficult return with grace.
