How to Do All Your Holiday Shopping at Target - Eater

"When all other stores seem like too much work, when you don’t have the patience to match your loved ones to personality-appropriate brands, or when you plain forgot to do any holiday shopping at all, consider Target. Target, the place, is where you can roam and browse, reveling in the sheer delight of total anonymity and a gajillion celebrity collaboration products. But more often, at least in my case, Target is an admittedly busted mobile app, a tool for my phone-addicted mind to satisfy its scroll instinct while staying away from the Twitter hellscape. Honestly, I love it. If you find yourself needing to maximize your holiday shopping efficiency, this is your store. The beauty of Target is that while it doesn’t have everything, it has a whole heck of a lot, and if you’re committed to getting all your presents in one fell swoop, it has exactly what you need." - Hillary Dixler Canavan

I have never once had a bad experience. I was about to get a product that I really wanted. Unfortunately because of branding, the product could not be sold until June 1st. However, as I was doing self checkout, this one retail associate named Joe was so wonderful to me and my partner as we were trying to get the product. Because of the whole problem with the sale of the product (as he was doing his best to fix it) and even offering me a big bag for how large the item was, I could not be anymore proud of this particular target. The absolute customer service and how nice and approachable Joe was made this experience worth coming back!

Giving this one star for the fact that it has Ulta in it. This store is absolutely disgusting. So unorganized, empty shelves, boxes and merchandise just stacked in the middle of the isles. This store has gone down hill so quickly. Even though it’s the closest to my house, I will travel to other Targets after visiting this location today. It was an awful experience .

Over the last few months this target has gone drastically down hill. Messy aisles, can never find what I'm looking for because the workers don't have time to stock. If you go during a weekday the workers have carts everywhere trying to stock. The employees at check out are very rude most likely because they're understaffed. Self checkout doesn't have employees to help if there's an issue but continue to have only one aisle open for checkout.

Google
Target used to be a warm and friendly place to shop and used to stand apart from its competitors. Sadly. I no longer see a large distinction between them and other retail stores. Human beings at the registers and counters have all been replaced by self checkout kiosks, the stores are becoming less and less organized and rather cold in nature. No longer does the consumer feel welcomed and appreciated. Reasons like these are exactly why brick and mortar retail is dying, consumers are all too eager to shop online because it's easier, more convenient and there is absolutely no motivation to frequent a store that doesn't value employees or their consumers.

Me and my wife were there today around 730 and my wife asked a worker named Abby where the stockings were and she rudely pointed and said "over where all the clothes are she didn't even attempt to help and she wasn't doing anything but chatting with another employee that also didn't attempt to help by the way about after work and I previously worked for Target and I know that's not the policy so we decided to leave and go to Walmart instead now I understand why ppl doesn't like shopping there!

Google
Target plus is a scam. The store refuses to return an item 33 days after purchase that still in the box. Pushed me to the manufacturer who is just a # with a full mailbox and dead end email address. Now I am stuck with $400 of useless chairs.. what a scam.

I love coming to Target! The store is always kept clean and content. The staff is always very nice and helpful. I come here to get away from the pure chaos that is Wal-Mart... The prices may be slightly more expensive at Target, but I feel that you're paying for much better quality!

Google
This was a great location before some recent changes. The final straw for me was them removing the pick up option for most grocery items. It's probably not a coincidence that Target launched a $100/year delivery service the exact same week they started limiting order pick up items. Other locations still offer pick up for grocery items so this seems like a location specific choice, or a trial run before other locations follow suit. I used to shop here multiple times a week, so this is very disappointing. I will not be returning until this decision is reversed.

Yelp
This is the Target I normally go to when I need odds and ends. I like the fact that I can buy online and pick up in store. I also like the fact that you save 5% using the Target credit card. You can arrange for pickup inside or curbside delivery to your car. inside you will find a CVS pharmacy along with Starbucks coffee. It houses a grocery department as well as clothing and just about anything you can think of. The giant red balls outside let you know you are in the right place. Located near Best Buy in Robinson they have their own parking lot.

Yelp
This Target is typical of Target stores in general. It has departments for clothing, health and beauty products, linens, cleaning products, food and beverages, furniture, pet supplies, toys, etcetera. Prices are fairly low. I am deducting one star from my review, because I felt slightly confused by the layout of the store. I wandered around for several minutes trying to find contact solution. I did find most other products that were on my shopping list. During checkout, I did not have to wait in line for long. The cashier rang up my items quickly and accurately. Sometimes he put only 1-2 items per plastic bag, so he could have used fewer bags. He kindly wished me a good night.

Yelp
Target is the Chick-Fil-A of retail stores. *The employees are always polite and courteous *The stores are always clean *They always have just about everything you need and don't need but still buy, ha! The last time I was in the area I stopped in here for some contact solution and a couple of other toiletries for my hotel stay and it was easy to find and a friendly and speedy check out. Stay awesome Target :D

Yelp
A Target is a Target, so if you don't like Target in general, carry on. That said, this year in particular I've been making semi-regular trips to this specific store. Being able to grab my basic home items and groceries in one trip is great when you're trying to avoid spending too much time indoors with strangers (thanks COVID!). And because this Target is situated so close to so many other businesses, it's pretty easy to quickly stop elsewhere if necessary (although it's usually not) on the way home. Generally speaking, foot traffic here has been pretty light whenever I visit; I don't know if I'm just getting lucky or what, but I'm not complaining. The fact that the store is never crowded helps me relax and get through my shopping faster. The staff has also done a great job adhering to new safety protocols. For example, there are always lots of shopping carts that have been sanitized and are ready for you when you walk in. While I've had to give up casually walking through the store with some Starbucks in hand this year, that's certainly not Target's fault; and while the grocery section could use a little more variety, it's always well stocked and has the essentials when I visit. So as long as this location remains uncrowded and properly cleaned and sanitized, I expect to continue to shop here for my basic grocery needs.

Yelp
This Target is located in "The Summit" in an area I believe can be considered Robinson. We visit this Target on every visit to Pittsburgh. This area in Robinson is home to the big box shopping near the airport. This Target has plenty of parking without necessarily being surrounded by neighbors like Lowe's. Upon entry I noticed they had a recycling station for drinking containers (cans and bottles), electronics and plastic bags. The layout of this store is not atypical to most Targets except for some of the smaller ones like on Long Island. Clothing near the entrance, electronics near the back, groceries opposite the main entrance and pharmacy along the front wall beside the check outs. This store is pretty well organized and clean. The groceries are much more limited than Walmart Supercenter however. The check outs run pretty well as well without having long lines.

Yelp
I liked Target before becoming a parent, but now I LOVE it. And I'm lucky to have a local Target as huge and well-stocked as the North Fayette store! Recently I've become a huge fan of order pickup. It saves time. Also, it keeps me from having to push my baby around the store and forgetting things! It's shameful how many orders I've placed for order pickup here, but the staff is always on point and has only forgotten an item maybe once or twice. It's always a good idea to scan through your order before leaving anyways, but it's a mistake than can quickly be fixed! The staff at the order pickup has always been extremely helpful and friendly. Target's clothing section, especially the clearance section, is great at this location. There are almost always some hidden gems in the clearance section and the prices are usually pretty low. When I was pregnant I was happy to see that this store had a decent selection of maternity clothes, too. Lastly, huge fan of the baby section. We swear by Target brand formula and diapers (Up & Up) and they're rarely out of stock. This most recent time we placed an order the North Fayette store was out of diapers in the jumbo pack so we just opted for delivery instead. No big deal! Target has made my mom life easier in more ways than one and this store is one of the best I've been to.

Yelp
This target has really gone downhill- Went to the target in Robinson near pittsburgh.... Haven't need to a local target in a while. Can you say bathrooms not maintained? 2 out of order the others with no toilet paper? Not excited about the quality of clothes either.... Much cheaper fabric with higher prices. They redesigned the dressing rooms - male and female together?! I guess I'm not coming out for an opinion from my daughter unless I am fully dressed- is this for real? I have no need to see a guy trying in clothes. Not shopping here again.

Yelp
Ordered a tv show on dvd from target. First order. In cart. Bought it. Multiple emails saying delivery date pushed farther. Then can not be delivered because not in stock. Called. They told me the dvd was in fact in the store. Gave me a discount and will deliver a new one right away. For a couple of weeks after got multiple emails again saying delayed delivery. Just got an email telling me it is not in stock again and can not delivered. My family was excited to get this show since never plays on tv. Huge headache and aggravation. Will never order anything from Target online again. Probably will not be going to the store either.

Yelp
Poor management. The staff is largely teenagers. Most of the time when I go in there they are huddled in a group all talking, usually the customers have to wait for them to notice.

Yelp
The best part of Target is the $1 section when you walk in! Tons of neat nick knacks! Also, be ready for a big whiff of popcorn as soon as you want in! TEMPTATIONS TEMPTATIONS! I'm sure everyone's been to a Target so I'll make this short and sweet. The location of this Target is great, its right nearby tons of food places too, so after you pick up a few necessities, you can go right out and grab lunch. I always forget this isn't a super target! So while they have groceries and frozen foods, they don't have fresh groceries. I really wanted to grab a salad or a sandwich, but they didn't have it :(

Yelp
WHATS UP WITH STOCK LATELY?? I visit this location several times a week for multiple needs. It's in a great location and is neat and tidY and east to navigate. Much better than the upper st Clair location. They have much less magnolia items and other home decor compared to other locations anyway , I often use the in store pickup feature for speed. Lately at least half of my order is "out of stock" leaving me having to go to other stores which I didn't plan on. These same items will say "in stock at north Fayette" so there must be some disconnect between the app/website and the actual store inventory. I started coming in person again and finding the same problem. Whole sections of items are out of stock. Just this week The shelves were empty for cOke products, pepcid , and Kleenex. Whole shelves miSsing. Also lately there seems to be only a few of each item. Hopefully this will be remedied soon

Yelp
I love Target and I am more fond of certain locations. Just because they're big box doesn't mean it's always the same. While East Liberty is my fave location this one comes in close second. They have an incredible amount of merchandise in stock so when I want an item I never have to worry whether or not it will be there.

Yelp
The bathrooms in this store are disgusting! The stalls are broken and there's a 2 inch gap around the stall doors so that you have zero privacy. No matter what time of day I go, the bathroom is filthy! The store is dirty all over. While Target can't help it if customers leave their used coffee cups all over the store, they could provide trash cans or ask employees to clean them up! When at the checkout today I pointed out that a used water bottle was sitting on the checkout counter. The cashier told me, "oh yeah that's been there a long time." And he did not pick it up! So apparently, Target does NOT train employees to clean up the trash in the store.

Yelp
This isn't the best Target location by any means, but I'm giving it 4 stars because we had an excellent experience in the electronics section. After dealing with a nightmare experience for a simple product at H.H. Gregg, we were able to get the same product at Target for the same price and deal with MUCH nicer employees. Chip, the manager of electronics, was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and he's the only reason I even thought to review this store. So basically, if your'e looking for electronics, it can't hurt to check this location out. The customer service was quality! Otherwise, it's just another Target.

Yelp
This is like the lowest of the low for Targets in the area. It's old and dated and frankly looks kind of dirty on the inside. I always seem to have a hard time finding anything in the store. It also feels off the beaten path from all the rest of the stores in the area. Like it's tucked away for a reason back in the cut. Possibly it is.

Yelp
I recently visited this location 08/20/2020 @18:09 HRS or so and it was a freaking disaster, I purchased a set of JLab Go Air Buds (Blue), went home opened the package and there was nothing but the freaking tips in the box, no ear buds, no charging pack, I mean nothing... How the freak does that happen?... Did JLab send an empty box to this location or did an employee take the merch then reseal the box, here's my dilemma, I returned to Target and I honestly felt like the employee at the refund and exchange counter thought I was pulling some slick ish, his first remark was, How did the box get ripped open. I informed him, my purchase was an empty box, it appeared to me he thought I was trying to BS him. My one and only thought was this, $29.99 isn't worth the ish , I'm considering returning the merch. While I'm waiting to be serviced, some random dude returned a beat up broken item he purchased from that same store and he didn't get the side eyes I received. I wonder if race played a part?... It felt like it to me... FROM THIS DAY FORTH, if I decide to purchase anything from any Target, suggestion, check your merch before leaving the store...

Yelp
I love the department store side of this Target, but it's the only one I've been to where the Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express seem to close so early, and there are no hours posted. Today I was busy running around doing errands, and I had missed dinner so I stopped at Target specifically so I could get something unhealthy at the snack bar and also buy department store items I needed. It was 8:55. Both Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express were dark, but I saw pizzas in the Pizza Hut Express counter dispenser. I walked over and was told by an employee in the back that she was closed. When I tried to ask a question, she cut me off and repeated that she was closed, end of discussion. Guess they'd rather throw food away. Or will they reheat it and sell it tomorrow? Still the best option for department store of this kind in the Robinson Township area because the only real competition is a really disgusting Wal-Mart. Just don't go there hungry!!

Yelp
This store is so nasty. Literally, every time I walk through the entrance both trash cans are overflowing with trash. Trash spills over and stays there all day. No excellence in any area. Don't even think about visit the restroom. The women's restroom always has one or various toilets that are broken... I'm sure they've never been cleaned... And the smell.... The smell will leave you cringing for years to come. The store itself is sloppy, dressing rooms look like hampers. If you can avoid this store DO IT!!

Yelp
Lines usually fast, even when they look long they do move, Starbucks and Pizza Hut usually busy but staff is very friendly and food/drinks are well made and/or fresh, and this store really looks wonderful! I love the addition of the produce section so now I can do all my shopping in one spot!
google avatar

Yelp
This Target store is nothing amazing. Never seems clean and most of the employees seem annoyed to be there. The reason I am writing this review is because the Starbucks in this Target location is the absolute worst and they are an embarrassment to the Starbucks company as a whole. I've left several times due to the line being so long with one person taking their good old time to make drinks. My visit today was the last for this location. The man waiting on me took his time to even come to the register (nobody else was in line or being waited on) and he just stood there (after he is expressing his hate for his job using profanity to a coworker) without even greeting me or asking if he could help me. Extremely rude and unprofessional!

Yelp
I didn't really find this target too fascinating.. this is coming from the girl who loves target. it may be because the targets I'm used to are newer and bright.. this one was total opposite. also, everything seemed picked over. my sister and I noticed some adorable kids clothes at the east lib location. we were in Robinson and decided to stop here to get some clothes for my niece. the selection wasn't anywhere near the options at east liberty or south hills village. their home department was okay though. I just didn't really like this target. I'm sorry :( the three stars are for all of the nice employees we came across..

Emily B.

Yelp
Olivia Clark is the BEST worker I have ever seen! The way she rings up items is incredible! Not to mention her customer service skills are IMPECCABLE! It felt like she took the time to talk to me and carefully bag my items. Love her. That girl deserves a promotion!

Yelp
I love Target and the fact that they buy back apple products just makes it better. Because I was eligible for the upgrade price on the new iPhone 4S, I traded in my 3GS and got the Iphone 4S for $50. I also traded in my daughters iPod nano towards an iPod touch.

Heidi B.

Yelp
so much better than Walmart, could use a few more people working Sunday Night. Although it was a holiday weekend.
