Who Wants to Buy a MAGA Instant Pot | Eater

"A major retailer whose Pride collection has been criticized as beleaguered and frequently embarrassing; the comparison in the article uses that perceived misstep to highlight how corporate product lines can feel performative or pandering when brands attempt to align with cultural or political trends rather than offering sincere support." - Amy McCarthy

Ann was my cashier today. I should have realized her register was closed because the light wasn't on, but she helped me anyway. She also removed a battery I wanted to purchase after I found out the lithium battery cost $17.50 for one. I appreciate her help.

Google
Employees are super helpful and nice. The place has a hige parking garage in the back. Stock is very limited, and most of the stuff is locked behind lock and key. I understand why they are doing it, but it makes shopping so hard.

Jafar Al-Hassan

Google
Absolutely miserable place. There's always one checkout lane open and a long line for self-checkout. Not to mention that shelves are empty and they can't keep products in stock. Their business/stock price have been declining for a few years now but they refuse to change or improve the customer/checkout experience.

Title: Wonderful Customer Service Experience Review: My mom and I visited this Target recently, and our shopping experience was truly delightful thanks to the sweet lady who rang up our items. Her friendly and helpful demeanor made our visit memorable. It's always a pleasure to encounter such positive customer service. Kudos to the staff for creating a welcoming atmosphere!

Google
Target in Pasadena is a solid go-to for everything from home essentials to trendy clothing and electronics. The store is well-stocked, clean, and organized, making it easy to find what you need. The exclusive designer collections are always a nice touch, offering stylish options at affordable prices. The in-store shopping experience is generally smooth, though weekends can get pretty busy, and checkout lines sometimes take longer than expected. Curbside pickup is a convenient option and usually runs efficiently, though occasional delays can happen during peak hours. Delivery service is also reliable for most items. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!!

Google
So annoying everytime I come to this Targe all of the shopping carts are all busted. I have to sort through at least 5 to be able to shop. I rather just go to Dollar General to avoid pushing crooked, jumpy, or difficult carts. With all the money to get makes you would think that they would be able to afford decent carts. Picture of abandoned carts after walking in below. I didn't take a pic of all the carts in the beginning left scattered that don't work.

Google
You can say Target is an upscale version of Walmart. This store is definitely well stocked, organized and clean. The employees are helpful and efficient at their job. There's plenty of parking and right in the middle of Old Town so is extremely convenient. Only issue i have it's the sense of false advertising i got from some sale signs promising 15% off on bath and bedding items and then not getting such discount at the register so of course i felt lied to.

Google
just came to pick up underwear in drive up and they were dirty. i go inside to exchange them and the cashier puts the refund on my debit card and tries to ask me to repurchase entirely instead of just applying what i already paid to the new pair 😂😂😂 worst location in pasadena & the slowest times. do better seriously

Yelp
Nice and clean Target location located on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. The main entrance and parking structure are located on the opposite side of Colorado Blvd. As you approach the main entrance, you will notice the Starbucks location visible from the outside. It has its own dedicated area within the store. The location comprises of two levels with cashiers on both levels. Returns and online pickup orders are located on the 2nd level right above Starbucks next to the exit. It is smaller compared to other Target locations but it has everything you need.

Yelp
All I needed was zip ties. The only ones in the store are in a locked case. Why you ask? I don't know. But I ring the little alarm sensor that is supposed to send over a worker. And then I ring it again. And again. FIVE TIMES. No one shows up. I have to walk away to find a worker. I thought surely "maybe they'll have heard it and were on their way but just busy." Nope. The guy seemed confused but agreed to come unlock it. He hands them to me and then I continue to shop. If you're so worried about people stealing it, why're you handing it off to people and walking away? Also six hour for pick up is absolutely insane. The second star is only because it's a convenient location. However, the quality of this location has noticeably dipped in the last ten years.

Yelp
Nov 2024 Sad to see a flagship die..... *6 hour waits for pick up service, instead of the standard 2 hours * filthy store and parking lot, an embarrassment compared to other Target stores *so many items under lock and key, with no staff available to unlock the "precious" deodorant and toothpaste Pick up here if you have the time, but don't waste your time entering this has-been.

Yelp
Fantastic selection of everything you could need for your house, clothing, appliances, tech, books, games, etc! Something for the whole family. They do have a great decor aisle for Christmas, and Hanukkah. Lots of cute ornaments and ugly Christmas sweaters. Store is clean and easy to navigate. They have self checkout, 2 floors and a large parking lot! Worth the cost, they provide great customer service too!

Spent $500 at Costco on Saturday. Don't miss Target at all. Support businesses that promote DEI GAP/Old Navy/ Banana Republic Harbor Freight Elf Trader Joe's

Yelp
Shopping in Pasadena, California... Since I was at Target (originally, I was looking for CVS, which is just a vendor in this store), I may as well browse and enjoy the air-conditioning... Looking at cute stuff is enlightening, so... let's do it! Socks, Hello Kitty lip balm set (I have one already), straw toppers, nice displays, and Bullseye are all good! I'm okay now! I found some bracelets that I was going to give as gifts. When I went to self-service payment, I was shocked that the total came out to $25 per bracelet before tax! Ouchie! I didn't expect that amount... Ohhh... it's like a fundraiser type of product. Ummm... I'll pass... I didn't know how to cancel the transaction. Luckily, a staff member was nearby and took care of it for me. Thank you!

Yelp
After a late lunch at Sugarfish, we were strolling around Pasadena and noticed a Target, so we decided to stop in and grab a few things I missed on my last Target run. This location was clean, tidy, and had a Starbucks inside, which is always a nice perk. They even have elevators to go upstairs, but I didn't have time to check them out. They have most of the stuff you need, and I always enjoy shopping with my Target RedCard, especially for the 5% discount--definitely a bonus, LOL. We easily found what we needed, but the checkout experience was a bit disappointing. The cashier wasn't friendly at all, which was surprising since I'm used to more welcoming service at other Target locations. Overall, it's a nice, well-kept store, but the service could use some improvement.

Yelp
My wife and I recently visited the Target located at 777 East Colorado Blvd in Pasadena for the first time, and we had an outstanding experience thanks to an employee named Adrian. From the moment we needed assistance locating several items, Adrian was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. What really stood out was his servant's heart, which is so rare these days! He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his dedication made our visit exceptional. The store's selection was also up to par, with numerous items available. The value was reasonably priced, and to top it off, I received a 5% discount for my birthday, which was such a nice touch! I truly want to recognize Adrian's excellent customer service and encourage management to acknowledge his hard work and highlight his performance among his peers. My wife and I will definitely be returning to this location, and we'll be sharing our experience with friends and family. Great service and great value like this deserve to be celebrated! Thank you, Adrian, for making our first visit to this Target a memorable one.

Yelp
I stop by this Target when I'm in Pasadena. Plenty of parking spaces in the parking structure behind the building. There's also a Starbucks in the same building, and if you rather have milk teas, they're right across the street. Strawberries are reasonably priced in Target compared to grocery stores.

Yelp
I absolutely loved how the store was operated. I came in on Sunday afternoon and although no one approached me while I was shopping. I could see that several of the employees were hard at work stocking the shelf's. I managed to remind myself to get a Frappuccino while I was shopping. It remained cold since the airflow throughout this target was cold. I was looking for just essentials but what really caught my eye was the new Starwars Oroeos up at the register

Yelp
As I often do I placed an online order with this store. After 3 hours I headed that way thinking I'd run a few errands and surely the order would then be ready. Nope. So I went to the store and encountered this at the entrance. I purchased the item in store and won't return soon in light of this at the entrance. Shame on Target.

Yelp
Not a fan of this target. Although it has a large garage and multiple entrances, street parking for 1 hr, I felt like finding customer service or bathroom requires a lot of walking and asking. This is a big place, has a nice sized clearance section that is surprisingly organized! Not sure why there are huge elevators right next to the escalators but great for buying really big things or handicapped. Several books that are on the hit list were 30% off, great price.

Yelp
My daughter and I were in the Pasadena neighborhood for lunch at Aikan Premium AYCE Sushi. Afterwards, we walked around the blocks to burn off some calories LOL. Well, we needed to use the ladies room after walking a couple blocks LOL and Target was at the right place at the right time. I may have been here once in the past. It's a two floor Target which is pretty common at downtown areas since space is limited. What I found interesting is the elevator structure right at the parking lot. I guess I don't see two floor Targets much. Anyway, after using the ladies room (very clean by the way), I walked around the 2nd floor and found some fun knick knacks. I ended up getting some Orbit gum in support of the business since we used their facilities. I do the same when I go into a gas station for restroom use... I usually come out of there with a candy bar, a bag of chips, an icee, a stuff animal, a magnet, or just something to say thanks LOL. I paid for the gum via self-service which is always quick and easy. Thank you Target for the great service!

Yelp
I understand the protection of merchandise from theft. Problem now is that no one responds to the "Need Help?" alert scans. Been trying to get undershirts for now 14minutes. I'm sure my lil ol $30 is not a dent in their metrics, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only $30 they are gonna lose.

Yelp
The customer service here is so bad. The Target in East Pasadena is much better. The Order Pickup here always take so long with employees fumbling around everywhere being unhelpful with attitudes.
google avatar

Anthony Q.

Yelp
First of all none of the employees wore name badges. I did not know who was a Target employee or not . None of the cashiers had a name tag . It seems that all employees want to be cool and not wear a name badge . They all look like they haven't comb their hair or showered. Fuchie ! The service was subpar , as if I was bothering the employees if I asked for anything. The bathrooms were dirty and the parking structure was full of trash . The floors look like they haven't been mopped in weeks . Yuk! How unfortunate that Target has lowered their customer service and overall cleanliness. Also the price check scanner in the toy department was not working

Yelp
Great store. Helpful staff. Organized and spacious. Two things: 1) This is minor. I would really like a cart escalator. Any chance of that? 2) This is not minor. About half the time I'm in this Target, there are one or more (leashed) dogs in the aisles. The sign outside says this: "NO ANIMALS ALLOWED IN A FOOD FACILITY Except SERVICE ANIMALS trained to do work or perform a task. California Health & Safety Code 114259.5" Is there no way to enforce this? Thank you.

Yelp
The one star reviews are extremely petty. I'm giving a 5 star because this locations always clean and fully stocked. They have a huge selection of clothes drug store makeup and home goods. The staff is regular staff friendly and do the job. Also it's organized and easy to navigate. I'm not sure how this location has such bad reviews. I'm a tough pleaser and I really like this target a lot!

Yelp
It my favorite target but the three is because some of there employees are super sweet
google avatar

Yelp
You can't go wrong shopping at target. they have everything you need and are looking for, Target Circle is the best. There are other places more affordable but the check out process and customer service are sub-par.

Chet M.

Yelp
Everything is locked up and there aren't enough employees to unlock them so you just stand there awkwardly ringing the button for 20 minutes then go home and order it on Amazon. If target ever goes under this store will be the example as of why.
google avatar

Dem Apple S.

Yelp
Usually this target has been very clean and organized but the last couple times I've come everything is a mess and in disarray. Things that are in the locked areas are left unlocked. Shoes are all over the place. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Target, your restrooms are far beyond unacceptable. You will have to pay me to use them.

Patricia B.

Yelp
Don't shop here! The drive up delivery staff has cancelled my order while I was waiting in the parking lot more than once. Instead of providing me the option to have the items shipped, when I selected "I'm on my way" in the target app. Yesterday, the drive up staff actually walked away when I asked where the items were. I had to ring the bell twice to get them to come back out for an answer. They had an attitude about it. The guy said he cancelled them. The girl said "maybe it was the internet". Not only did I waste time at the store, but I lost the discount on these items and others in the order. The $15 gift card did not cover the lost discount for the items I spent another hour getting them shipped. The manager did nothing and made excuses. There is obviously an issue here that needs to be addressed because this doesn't happen at the drive up other target stores. The manager said that I have to go into the store to talk with her. Which means I need to spend more time in this. What's happened to customer service here?
google avatar

Rosie T.

Yelp
Peter our waitress for today was awesome but honestly everyone their is great and friendly
google avatar

Sergio D.

Yelp
Employees are helpful here and it's stocked up well most of the time. Things are getting over priced here already, so let's keep ignoring that for another while.
google avatar

Yelp
Target is going downhill mainly for the most poor customer service. Lack of pride in store also is displayed by poor orderliness and lack of cleanliness. Michelle and Tommy refused to honor what is clearly displayed above a rack earning a $5 gift card for purchasing 3 of same brand. What I went through is a nightmare; No apologies made for my hassle at all and no assistance was to be had. In fact, upstairs in customer service, the representative seemed to be surprised by my photo I took with the $5 card, as it was apparently missing from their system. Although I received my measly gift card, not worth this trouble at all, he refused to thank me or apologize for the mix up. I didn't come in raising my voice or having upset, although maybe that was sadly what was needed to get some respect. If this location wasn't so convenient for me, I'd bail!

Yelp
Solid parking, in and out in 15 minutes, crisis averted! ---------------------- So this is probably a taste of things to come, but anyway, went to 6's friend's birthday party. Someone (I'm not gonna name names) decided it was a good idea to re gift an admittedly very nice Lego Minecraft set. The only problem? I find our halfway to the party that the original gift giver was going to be at the same birthday party!! Oops... So, thanks to @Waze, and of course getting a really solid assist from 6, I made a quick pit stop here. Within 15 minutes, we got a soccer jersey, and did self checkout. The funniest part? 1) the party was soccer themed, and 2) they opened presents AT THE PARTY! Dad level 99! Crisis averted! Pro tip for all the dads out there: it's ok to re gift, but for gods sake make sure it's a different social circle! LOL

Sierra M.

Yelp
Whoever is answering the phone line in the pick up/delivery department has little to no patience. I was verrrrrrryyyyyy simply inquiring about a product for my boss that I needed to be 100% sure that it was available at that specific store. He was being very difficult with me instead of just looking up the item number(DPCI). He was cutting me off before I could even finish a sentence. He had a very condescending tone with me the entire time. It made feel very dissatisfied with his service. And then when I went to thank him for helping me and for his patience he hung up on me. I hope whatever he's going through in his personal life he can heal from because that's not how you treat customers, let alone another human.
google avatar

Yelping And Belching For U.

Yelp
I still love this Target, and for the most part the cashiers are prompt...BUT...I will be buying less items now, especially ones that are being locked up behind their wall of plexiglass doors. It is too much of a hassle to get anyone to come and unlock each and other never-ending rows of locked cabinets. As such I have been buying most of the said items through Amazon. It is much simpler and I get it delivered, otherwise I'd rather support Target if weren't for the 'stock and lock' policy. I understand that crimes are rampant but they should beef up security and take action on shoplifters instead of just letting them walk. Minus another star for this.
google avatar

Sarah Y.

Yelp
To start off I don't know why target is rated so low !? How is that even possible ! Target is my happy place this is where I come to escape the pressures of the outside world ! Anyways, back to the review. This target is always clean. Stock is plentiful . Prices are higher but that's just the world we live in. The one thing is that everything is locked up behind glass, so if you are in a hurry and can't find a team member around it be a moment. I definitely have decided on not to purchase an item, because I didn't wanna wait for it . Overall I'll stay a target girl for life .
google avatar

Maritza H.

Yelp
THE worst target pick up experience!!! Going on 5 hours and only ordered 5 items!!! I spent 30 mins on the phone to check on status and they hung up on me, guest services had no ringing, and NONE of the departments would pick up!!!!!!!! At least send an update email saying you're experiencing delays!!!!
google avatar

Selin S.

Yelp
This target is very disappointing and they lack customer service. I can rarely find what I need in the store. There's usually nobody to ask questions or provide customer service at the store. Today I tried calling the store about 2 items that it shows they have in stock but was not available on the shelves and I haven't been able to get a hold of anybody. The phone keeps ringing and then Disconnects as no one picks up.

Eric B.

Yelp
literally the worst target ever rude employees everything is locked up in cabinet's and no one will help you ! never again i'll go to amazon going forward i asked an employee to unlock the cabinet he replied sorry it's not my department

Willow A.

Yelp
I've visited here a few times and it's a great place. I appreciate the spacious parking structure and the clean, well-maintained interior. There's always plenty of parking, and I've never had any issues while shopping. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store offers a good variety of products. They also have both stairs and an escalator to easily access the two floors.

Shawn D.

Yelp
Thanks for locking everything up and making me wait 20 minutes for an employee to unlock the socks and underwear ‍‍‍ impossible to have a quick shopping trip

Susan B.

Yelp
Today, I went to Target with a $200 shopping list. I was looking for vitamins that were behind a locked cabinet. I used the box that customers can use to summon someone to open the cabinet. No one came. It took me 15 minutes to find someone to open the cabinet. I told him I was unhappy that it took so long. He responded, "ok." I then said that i needed him to open another cabinet for me. He said, "no, i need to help other customers," so I walked out without buying anything. I understand that Target is worried about shoplifting. However, they need to hire more staff if they they put things in locked cabinets. Plus, they need to spend some money on customer service training. I'll just use the drug store and Amazon from now on.
google avatar

Norma R.

Yelp
This review is for the pharmacy inside of Target. They are rude and roll their eyes at any question you have. Especially when you are sick. You don't need rude people. Go to Ralphs pharmacy on Lake.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Stopped in my neighborhood Target on the way home tonight, and was really impressed by the associate working checkout on the 2nd floor register - Neida (I think was her name?) was kind, courteous, and professional. She even went above and beyond to help me price check an item whose UPC wasn't showing up on the scanner. It was less than an hour before closing, so I was expecting everyone in the store to be ready to just clock out, but I really appreciated the good service.
google avatar

Amber L.

Yelp
It's fine. Haven't had great customer service from the online pick up area or from the people downstairs that regulate the self check out. The online pick up area is annoying bc I do it to save time and there's just nobody at the window but there's literally people like a few feet away working, but ignoring you. Then one time there was nobody in the line for self checkout and I was ready to go and the person stopped me because I had over 10 items. Mind you the 10 items included like multiple of the same item which I think is fair to count as the same item. I was really confused why this person was wasting my time and their time over something so arbitrary when nobody else was in line. Just kinda annoying. I never look forward to coming here - it's more out of necessity and proximity.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Does anybody even work here? Why does it take over 10 minutes for someone to come open the security locks for a simple shirt. Definitely not returning.
google avatar

Jocelyn G.

Yelp
Terrible, unhelpful staff. You ask an employee to unlock some merchandise for you to purchase and they respond as if you're asking them to move mountains. I've typically had decent experiences with the employees here in the past, but recently it's just absurd the way these people act while clocked in at their place of employment. Should I start groveling at their feet and apologizing to them because they hate their job? I've worked in the customer service field for years and have never acted the way these people act. Is this place deliberately seeking out miserable people to employ? This is so sad.
google avatar

Collin M.

Yelp
Solid Target. Staff does well and has a good variety of stuff. Only complaints would be that sometimes the stuff is organized weirdly. Like some home stuff is on the first floor and things you'd think would be right next to it will be upstairs (specifically in regards to cooking stuff). That organization is annoying. Plus the lines to check out sometimes take a bit. Thank god for self check-out
google avatar

Soreya Y.

Yelp
I didn't want to come here but it's was the only target that had the item available. So I ordered for drive up and was waiting downstairs for the target worker to bring my order, 20 mins goes by, no one comes. I go inside store and he tells me it's on 3rd floor, u have to drive out, take a left at light, turn right at ramp. The Target app does specify where. It's confusing to use their drive up system. Won't be doing that again.

Linda H.

Yelp
If you want a bad drive up experience go to this Target. The drive up team at the East Pasadena store should do a workshop here and teach the employees what excellent customer service looks like (from greeting the customer in a polite manner to saying "thank you"). The difference in the two stores is astounding.
google avatar

Winn H.

Yelp
Of all the Targets that I've visited, I have to admit this one gives me mixed feelings. I needed to find mason jars, and the staff member who helped me out vaguely pointed to a yonder direction after searching it up on his device. No indication of what row, just "yonder." The same staff member also was clearing the self-checkout area, and it felt awkward to check out since the person after me was denied access. When I returned with mason jars to checkout, the staff at the register left and directed me to exchanges & returns to help with checkout. I ended up paying on the second floor, and walking out without a bag for my items felt weird. I wasn't sure if I could feel safe and not be stopped, or if I should show my receipt to anyone. The overall experiences was chaotic to say the least.

Yelp
My neighborhood Target closed due for nearly a month so I ended up visiting this Pasadena location since I haven't been here for over 20+ years. I remember coming here with my mom when they first opened this two stories Target and having breakfast. I seriously do not recall this Target being THIS ghetto! There are plenty of parking in the structure but it is nearly impossible to park at any of the spaces due to idiots double parking. It took me over 10 minutes to be able to find a spot where I might not hit another car or the possibility of being hit by another car. Once inside the store, I immediately felt like I wanted to turn around and leave. The whole store was a mess! It was only 8pm when I got there but the shelves were empty (most things were scattered like trash on the floor), and there were more employees walking around the store than actual cashiers working the registers. The self check out lines were a million miles long and I could only hear one of the managers yelling out commands to employees about their breaks and at the customers on where to stand in line. It was so unorganized. Most of the customers were so rude (reaching over you to grab items, cutting you off in aisles without excusing themselves) - I walked around for 10 minutes and I just left. There were people coughing all over the place and hardly anyone was wearing a mask. Come on, if you are sick, please stay home! I'm never going to come back. Definitely the worst Target I've ever been to.
google avatar

Debbie A.

Yelp
DRIVE-UP AREA: Never been to this Target but I still placed a Drive-Up Order for something my local Target didn't have in stock. Once I let Target know, "I am on my way", the info provided said to drive to store entrance. Well, not being too familiar with Pasadena's one-way streets, i circled and circled the area. I looked for a sign pointing to where to find the Drive-Up area and couldn't find one. I asked 3 customers in the parking lot and no one knew where to find the Drive Up area. Going forward...I plan to stick with my local Target store.
google avatar

Aaron G.

Yelp
This store is managed poorly. When the line downstairs is super long, they don't open the upstairs self checkout. It takes FOREVER. I'm writing this review while waiting for self checkout.

Yelp
Came in today to get a few things with my daughter. They didn't have what I needed for the most part. I had some questions about something that was locked up, and the people said they would get someone and come back (they never did). The service is seriously slacking here. THey have a huge selection of things, but its all overpriced.
