The Palace of Culture in Târgu Mureș

Must see if you're in town. The stained glass in the Hall of Mirrors is world-class and the rest of the building is great as well. The Romanian and Hungarian art galleries are well worth a visit (good art in both, but the Hungarian galleries in particular had a wonderful set of rooms), an interesting temporary exhibition when we visited and also a great room for children to interact with the art and create their own.

Historical building with lots of beautiful and valuable paintings and other art work. The mirrors room had some nice stories. The outside of the building is also very nice renovated. The staff is very nice and helpful. Tickets are 25 lei per adult, parking can be found nearby.

Interesting and neatly presented. Was also helped in English and really affordable entrance fees.

Top floor has some pretty lovely modern art works. Beautiful interior, its also a performance hall for concerts.

combine ticket with the bell tower (which is climbable) is a good deal. the staff inside the palace is a bit curt and they appear unhappy. oddly enough photos are not allowed when it would not deteriorate anything mainly just stained glass is photo worthy. if photos were allowed, it would help to promote the place to other potential visitors

This place was the absolute highlight of my trip to the city, I loved everything about it and anyone even remotely interested in architecture and/or art will love it The admission ticket is about 3.5 euros and you will be spending about half an hour inside depending on how many pictures you want to take. In some areas they don't allow pictures though (the better rooms, of course). In the most famous room of the palace there are some beautiful stained glass windows and a five minutes explanation will play for you There is also a museum at the top floor that was, sadly, closed at the time of my visit

Overall good, but currently most of the halls were temporary closed (make sure to check this issue before visiting). We've saw 2 halls - the big one was reserved for an event ( make sure you check before visiting) the small hall was opened at the moment, though usually it is closed. Friendly and helpful staff, the cleaning lady was super helpful and nice! Currently the palace is renovated, so check before visiting!
