Every restaurant and bar that opened in Las Vegas: 2020 edition | Eater Vegas

"Replacing the shuttered Lee’s Noodle House at Shan Tau Square on Spring Mountain Road, I find Ramir DeCastro’s Robata En to be an Asian-fusion spot he describes as “honest, gutsy, and often unexpected,” with a seasonally shifting menu inspired by fine dining that aims to be fun and shareable." - Eater Staff

Visiting Vegas and craving sushi, I stumbled upon this gem just off the Strip. The decor is beautiful, warm, and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. We started with the spicy cauliflower, salt-spicy squid, and drunken black mussels, all bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious. The sushi was the real highlight: the Taro practically melted in my mouth, the salmon belly was creamy and delicate, the halibut (hirame) was so fresh, and the broiled eel was rich and savory. The servers and sushi chef were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Don’t skip the sake, Senkin Immortal Wing was incredible and paired perfectly with the meal. This is definitely a spot worth visiting when in Las Vegas. I only wish I had more room to try even more from the menu.

The food here was so fresh and delicious. We had California Rolls, Miso Soup, Baked Oysters. The cucumber salad is a must. The Cucumber Martini was refreshing along with the Lychee Martini.

Wow, TARU sushi in China Town absolutely blew me away! From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the beautiful design – it's clear that every detail was thoughtfully considered. But the experience went far beyond just aesthetics. The food was truly amazing, each bite bursting with fresh, wonderful flavors. What impressed me even more was seeing the owners actively present, working hard, and even serving tables! That level of dedication and care really shines through in the entire dining experience. Everything we tasted was top-notch. I wholeheartedly give TARU sushi a 5-star review and can't wait to go back!

Another good sushi place in Vegas. Chinatown that is not all you can eat. They have great selection of sushi and sashimi - good quality of fish. They also had some Japanese pasta dish - the uni pasta is pretty good. They have good cocktails and Japanese beer selection. Server is great and helpful. Place is big and not crowded. Ample of parking sharing the Macys lot.

I had a great solo dining experience at Taru. The sashimi was some of the best I’ve ever had, fresh and buttery. I ordered the Truffle Sashimi Trio, Hidden Dragon Roll, and oysters, all of which were delicious. The ambiance was elegant, and the host John was very kind and attentive. The bill was about $60, and I didn’t order any drinks. I do wish I had ordered a no-rice roll or some of the fresh fish rolls instead of the tempura roll, but overall, it was still excellent. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worth it. I’d love to come back to try the Empire of the Sun and Chutoro Roll next time.
