My wife and I often enjoy visiting interesting places, and while strolling down the main street of this city, we heard loud, pleasant music. We went in to see what it was, and were immediately greeted by very friendly people. They offered us something to warm up with, as it was very cold outside, and suggested a warm drink called mulled wine. Inside, there were many people, all ordering food and drinks, and most importantly, there was a very pleasant atmosphere. An elderly, very stylish man was performing some great American songs. We all sang along and had a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place; it's a very small pub, but with a very big heart! I RECOMMEND IT! 🔥😍

This is a cute little Pub. It is a tight little space, but friendly environment makes you feel welcome.

It’s a cute pub and gallery opened recently as mentioned by a local. They have a small cozy space for people to interact and admire the art. They have various varieties of beers and wine. Attached are the menu and a video for your vibe check. They have music here and it’s very relaxing. They don’t have any food yet, other than the chips and humus. Coming soon I believe.

Selfishly, I don’t want to review Taryn’s because it is the absolute best and we want it all to ourselves, but credit is due. 🥰 Taryn and Rick have quickly and sincerely created a beloved local spot with reasonably priced delicious beverages, an incredible variety of talented musical acts, beautiful art, and impeccable vibes. I recently discovered this charming mountain bar, and it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, the positive vibes were palpable. The live music added a fantastic touch, and the selection of wine and beer was impressive. The owners were incredibly welcoming, offering us samples right away and genuinely ensuring our experience was top-notch. Their warm hugs and heartfelt thanks made us feel like part of their family, which was such a lovely touch. The ambiance of the place is stunning, filled with art and unique artifacts that tell their own stories. One of the owners showcases her profound, thought-provoking artwork, exploring themes like technology and big pharma, and how they impact our connections with one another. It's a space that truly invites reflection. I fell head over heels for this bar and its owners. I wish them all the success they deserve and can't wait to return for more amazing experiences! Taryn and her partner Rick operate a terrific cozy pub. The atmosphere, the cozy atmosphere and the almost constant live music. It's bet to get in a bit before the music starts if you want a seat. They do go SRO quickly! Great selection of beer and wine, Guinness on tap and a very decent offering of N/A wine and beer!

Amazing. Who would have thought we would find a pub of this caliber in Idyllwild. We came here last night for the first time. Immediately realized it is a quaint little pub dripping with character and charm. Met the lovely owners Taryn and Rick. They provide a level of hospitality second to none. Started off with glasses of Salmon Creek Chardonnay. Nice pour at a bargain price of $7. a glass. It was delicious. Each glass of white wine comes with a dried apricot. Cute! We then tried the Le Vigne Sangiovese at $14. This one came with a piece of dark chocolate. We also tried the Summers Cab at $15. Excellent, full bodied. The finale was a Veuve Devienne Brut bubbly at $11. These folks priced their wines for the local community. Since we have a place in Pine Cove, we're definitely locals. We had a great evening. So glad we found this hidden gem. Clearly, we will be returning often.

Can i just say this place is everything! first off the owners taryn and rick are so welcoming. On top of that you can find taryn's artwork placed all around the building. the pub is quaint but that's what i'm looking for from a small town bar. They have a great selection of beer and wine and the place has such a happy spirit. They have live bands and are open most days out of the week, overall i can't wait to come back!!

Owners are very friendly and offered me the wines to try before I had to make a decision. It's a very small pub, but they still get in love music for us to enjoy. Taryn is also a wonderful painter, and it's so nice to have the original artwork on the walls. Plus they got it all decorated for Halloween, very cool!

The service here is top notch! The beer and wine selection is diverse and delicious. Great art abounds and the atmosphere is fun! Come see Taryn and have a drink!

Great ambiance, very cozy. Check out the outdoor table tops, yes they're actually what they look like. Even if you're a tourist like we were, we felt at home. Mark and Hank (I think that was their names?) were doing an acoustic guitar performance outside which was a real treat. Note that they only have beer and wine at time of writing.

Not every day that you meet Sharon Lawrence from NYPD Blue in a street corner randomly In Idyllwild and she decides she likes your boyfriend and walks the two you to an AMAZING spot that she raves about! This place is a gem!! Taryn is amazing and her art is beautiful! The vibe is so good!! Loved the ambiance!

Came in on a whim, and are so happy we did! Taryn was incredible and so was the wine and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back next time we are in town. After 6+ years of coming here and there not being a local bar, we're over the moon Taryn's Place is now open. Could not recommend this place more... and her paintings are unbelievable.

Stopped by Taryn's Place in the Idyllwild village looking for a cold brew on a warm afternoon and boy did we luck out! What an adorable space right off North Circle Drive. Taryn has created an intimate casual pub with great service, a terrific beer selection surrounded by her art and lots of friends! We really needed a spot like this in town and she has nailed it. A real gem not to be missed!

If I could give 100 stars I would. We love this place, so welcoming, so sweet, so cozy and amazing entertainment. Love it

What a perfect little gem in Idyllwild! Taryn and her partner are so warm and friendly, and make the place feel comfortable, homey, and welcoming. We chatted with them both the whole time about life, wine, and everything in between, and they're so passionate about the space they've curated up here. Love that each glass of wine comes with a palette cleanser - dried apricots for whites, dark chocolate for reds. Live music really added a special touch. So glad we found this place and can't wait to be back!

We had a wonderful time at Taryn's. She is a great host and the beer was tasty. It's a small pub but that's what makes it a fantastic place to hangout. I recommend grabbing a drink before heading to dinner. They also have live music throughout the week.

Intimate beer/wine bar that is well done decor and friendly - they went thru hell to get it opened and owner Taryn is working hard to keep it rising- we enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and people watching on our way to dinner at our other favorite in Idyllwild, Cafe Aroma. Taryn is such a welcoming person, and this is a great small local bar. Loved the wine choices, atmosphere, her artwork, and the casual nice experience. I'm from out of town and was lucky enough to get this recommendation from a local.

Was finally able to get into Taryn's last Friday afternoon! We got there early since the place is on the small side and fills up fast! Managed to snag 2 spots at the bar and had a great talk with Taryn and learned a bit of the history of re-opening the spot. We liked coming here when it was the Backroom, but sadly that didn't make it. Taryn has added her own unique look and artwork to freshen up the spot, giving it an almost shipboard vibe. Loved the triptych painting she did that makes up the back of the bar. We left before music started, but will definitely return to hang out again. Glad to see it finally opened despite the red tape they had to wade through to get the place open! Idyllwild needs more local, unique, chill spots to hang out like this! Wine selection was good and the sangria was tasty. I had a couple of the different beers and they were very enjoyable.

A great addition to town. Taryn and Rick are welcoming and gracious owners. The bar and sitting areas are comfortable and the crowd was light hearted. The draft beer selection is interesting and uncommon with Guinness and Coors Light being the exceptions. The three beers I tried were excellent. There is outdoor seating and Taryn's interesting and lively art adorns most of the wall space. Can't wait to spend summer days here.

Best in Idy. They only sell beer (Guiness!) and wine for reasonable prices. The people who run it are smart (and very good people). I feel bad recommending it because its been pretty full the last few nights - and it only opened last week - but if you're a visitor and just want a friendly place to hang this would be it. I think in the future there will be light snacks served...

Tonight was the first time I had an opportunity to meet friends for a glass of wine at Taryn's Pub & Gallery. Such a cozy environment. Both Taryn and Rick are very welcoming. As I have a business in the lane, I have witnessed the evolution of her creativity and commitment to make her Pub something unique and special for her guests. Taryn did not disappoint. Really a one of a kind experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Idyllwild, you will feel welcomed. So go and enjoy this gem, you will be glad to experience this neighborhood Pub!
