The 36 Best Restaurants in Lisbon, Portugal

"“Fine dining is dead,” reads one poster as you step into this ultracasual venue in the Mouraria neighborhood. Tasca Baldracca is among a new generation of tascas (no-frills, affordable, traditional restaurants) where chefs are showing that the genre can be updated without losing the essential character of the neighborhood hangout. Though it may look casual, the restaurant surprises with food made with refined techniques and quality ingredients at affordable prices. There’s a lively mood in the dining room, where dishes designed for sharing generate a convivial atmosphere. Start with the couvert (sourdough bread and spreadable goat cheese), followed by items such as beef tartare, gizzard tempura, and roast suckling pig." - Rafael Tonon, Miguel Pires

Tascas Are the Best Places to Eat in Lisbon, Portugal

"Situated in Mouraria, Lisbon, owned by Brazilian chef Pedro Monteiro. It blends Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine, featuring dishes like beef tartare with pastel de vento, beet salad with a tapioca-based cracker, and grilled cuttlefish with a moqueca-inspired sauce." - Austin Bush

Amazing service, good tasting food and warm atmosphere. Ask for the recommendations, you won't regret. Be aware that this place closes at 15:00 and opens up once again later. If the place is empty - you are lucky, go there and sit. Soon there will be plenty of people. Please check my pictures to see what I ordered. 81.5 € for two people. The taste is amazing, don't be a scrooge and take the experience.

Delicious food, interesting combination of flavors and different ideas. They place nice music, very relaxed atmosphere. The prices are high and the portions are small. Tourists are the only customers because of the high prices, it’s unfortunate because the food is really great. Another ver negative point is that literally all their plates are very chipped on all sides. Great house wine. However they don’t have ice!!! How can everything be so expensive and a restaurant doesn’t have ice, the 1 liter of wine we ordered was warm by the end of the meal!!! Reservations are required!

The people who give this poor reviews don't get. This place is killer. Food done the way the chef wants to do it. Great food but edgie and we no apologizes. If you know good food and don't rely on someone else to tell you it's good this is the place.

This little spot really wowed us. The spring peas may be the best dish we ate while in Lisbon! Service was casual, place was bustling and I can see why the line was long. Book a table online for sure. Good value for the quality of food. Service was kind albeit rushed, but that made sense given the pace of the restaurant.

Great vibe. Good food. Very unique menu. Basics for drinks - wine, beer, water. Food was tasty. Definitely make a reservation.

Lovely and lively neighborhood modern Tasca. Make sure to reserve your table in advance as the place tends to be packed. Not all the dishes were of the same quality and execution level, but a few - the scotch egg, the roast octopus, the steak tartar and above all the roast pork belly - were outstanding.

We had a dinner of 8 people, and everything went good. The place is LOUD. You can barely talk to each other. They have some kind of problem with the door and they keep it open all the time, which is why our table was always cold. The service is mad fast and expressive. The food was impressive and we ordered some dishes twice. Not cheap, but probably worth it. The line behind the door never ends. Prepare yourself for a tasty, but not quiet and cozy dinner!

Amazing place! Seasonal menu, with lots of different options. The food is absolutely good and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and chilled, the service as well. I really recommend it :)
