Tasca Baldracca

We tried our best to research some of the best restaurants in Lisbon, and this place kept coming up. Marta at Quattro Teste told us how amazing it was so we went for it. A very unassuming place, but a very genuine experience and the food was incredible. There is a lot of innovative fusion coming out of this forward thinking kitchen. It's a fantastic neighborhood and a great place to stumble onto if they have availability. We will certainly be back if we visit again.

The only dish that was really worth being there was the fried chicken, with lots of flavor, perfectly cooked, super crunchy. Remaining dishes have been dropped in the table next to us for us to grab it without proper introduction. Some dishes with no flavor or overcooked (e.g. prawns). Service was nice once started, however we were standing there for 10 minutes until the waitress decided to talk to us and get as a seat (with more then 6 tables available)

Absolutely incredible!! Genuinely one of the best meals of my life. Super fast and friendly service, amazing homey atmosphere. All I heard all night was ooh’s and aah’s as people tucked into their food! I’m still thinking about the black hummus and carrot cake 😍 Such good value too, could not recommend more!

Smart dishes that you can see they've thought of. The cheesecake blows your mind with its genius. On the one hand, you see a regular baked cheesecake, but its taste is that of sweet and slightly salty Bleu de Bresse cheese, simply spectacular.

We ordered pickled rabbit, homemade hot dog, french fries and the fried squid pastry. Delicious food surrounded by a familiar environment and a welcoming service. 100% recommend

Tasca Baldracca has a strong identity and an energetic, informal atmosphere, but the experience falls short of its potential. Some dishes are interesting in concept and show creativity, yet the execution often misses the mark, with small details that make a real difference being overlooked. Service is relaxed and friendly, but at times perhaps a bit too relaxed, lacking focus and consistency. Overall, it feels overpriced for what is delivered. There is clearly room for improvement, because with more attention to detail and better balance between concept and execution, this could be a much stronger place.

Spectacular gimme 14 of them right now! This is a non-negotiable when visiting Lisbon. I’d recommend booking a reservation the night before. Dined-in and there was a decent lineup at 8pm. As we arrived we noticed the balanced crowd of hip locals and travelling foodies. The place was jammed with an atmosphere that I can’t possibly describe but everywhere we looked people were smiling from ear to ear as they sat and ate their tapas-style Portuguese inspired fusion meals listening to an amazing medley of music from Samba to Bossa Nova from the 70’s like Jorge Ben Jor. All the food is Amazing. Eat as much as possible, the plate sizes are suitable for two with each order. You must order their squid, grilled shrimp and nduja, and the fried sardine, the fried chicken Caesar, and the piglet with sliced oranges and fennel…..if there’s room (there’s always room) you gotta try the carrot cake with chocolate. 10/10 experience and excellent service. We will be back !

Absolutely fantastic — the best dinner experience we had in Lisbon, and honestly one of our top 10 dining experiences anywhere. Every single dish we tried was amazing, but the clams and the beef tartare were truly out of this world. This is not about fine dining appearances, but about genuine hospitality and incredible flavors. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and family-like, which suited the place perfectly. The wines were excellent, the staff incredibly kind, and the chef deserves nothing but praise. It’s definitely worth booking well in advance, as the restaurant is always full and it’s easy to see why. A truly memorable evening — highly recommended!
