A brilliant experience from beginning to end. We went with friends and sat at a table directly above the swimming pool with views overlooking the sea and contemporary restaurant design. Even though it was late April the weather felt quite cool and refreshing. The drinks were delicious and food was outstanding even though I’m not a huge fan of Portuguese cuisine. The Cataplana, crab salad and custard pie were my favorites and I would be delighted to order them again (and again!). The staff were passionate and deeply knowledgeable about the menu and friendly as well. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing dinner experience at Tasca, located in the stunning Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Marco and Stephanie, whose hospitality truly stood out. Their attentiveness and professionalism added a personal touch to the evening. The steak was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. I also tried the golden egg, and it was equally impressive — rich, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Overall, the quality of the food was top-notch, living up to the high standards you’d expect from a fine dining spot like Tasca. Special mention to Marco, who not only ensured exceptional service but also impressed with his knowledge about the dishes and dedication to maintaining quality in every detail. Highly recommend Tasca for anyone looking for a refined dining experience with excellent food and outstanding service.

A place with a lovely view of sea! And food was incredible. I love Portuguese food and it was years since I had some good ones. Thank you for great V day lunch. Every food was perfect. Coming back soon for a coffee and pastel!

Great food and an amazing view (See attached photos for the amazing sunset view). Great food and beverage menu which is prepared on site. I visited the venue for a corporate dinner which was amazing given the tranquility of the space as well as the friendly Ness of the staff. There was also a very convinient valet service just outside the main entrance of the restaurant. A security guard was also at the main entrance and plenty of reception staff so there was no waiting to be seated at all. Also the valet service was super quick at the exit point.

I have been in this amazing Portuguese spot for the first time with friend of mine and just would like to share my experience! We went with seafood options and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful, especially the octopus which had the perfect textureand balance of seasoning.The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a cozy seaside vibe. The waiters were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. They made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of, always with a smile. Their positive attitude really enhanced our experience and made our visit memorable. It’s not often that you come across such warm and genuine service. Thank you to the wonderful team for making our meal so enjoyable! Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend Tasca to anyone who enjoys quality seafood and Portuguese flavours .I look forward to my next visit!

Unforgettable anniversary dinner at Tasca – Dubai We celebrated our anniversary at Tasca with a bottle of Louis Roederer champagne and a stunning lobster platter. The setting was chic and romantic, with breathtaking views and flawless service. Every detail — from the food to the ambiance — made the evening truly special. A perfect spot for a memorable celebration.

Tasca by Jose Avillez is a contemporary Portuguese restaurant located on the sixth floor of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Jumeirah. It is a vibrant venue with indoor and outdoor dining space with magnificent views of Dubai skyline and the sea. They offer a la carte as well as tasting menu, we went for the a la carte menu. Each and every dishes we tried were incredible. The flavors, the texture, the taste and plating was amazing. Our wonderful culinary experience was amplified by impeccable service.

It was a great experience altogether. The server was very helpful in recommending dishes to us and we got everything as we wanted. This restuarant is located on the 6th level of the Mandarin Oriental and has a very cosy yet modern vibe to it. We were seated next to their infinity pool with views of the sea. The food and the ambience is really mind blowing. If you are a seafood lover then this place is perfect for you. The food menu is perfectly curated with pairing suggestions of wine or liquers depending upon the dishes chosen. We opted for the following dishes : Wine - Gema Alvarinho (portugese white wine) This paired very well with the sea food. Starters - Tuna Tartare Cone(fresh raw tuna served in a crispy cone), Crab Cas cais(shredded crab with caviar) Mains - Lagretro ( grilled octopus with spinach & potatoes), Moqueca De Carabinetro( Giant red shrimp and scallops served with herbed rice, powdered cashew and spicy sauce) Dessert - Mandarin Orange ( egg custard with mandarin sorbet ) & Rose Pavlova. Both the deserts are a must and to die for. All in all we had a great time here. Thank you team Tasca. We will be back soon.
