"Tashas is an all-day cafe that looks like a Pinterest board called Beige Minimalist Chic come to life, but this Battersea spot really thrives between 9:30am and 12pm. There’s a mix of proper hits like a sweetcorn scramble, to grilled chicken pasta that’s so satisfying it feels like a cheeky dinner dish hiding on a brunch menu. "Eid is always more chaotic than expected: 11am breakfast plans get delayed and become 2pm brunch plans. And our favourite place to go for a lazy sit-for-hours brunch is Tashas. This beachy Battersea restaurant is the definition of going with the flow (it's also walk-in-only). Whenever you eventually rock up, anything from sweetcorn scrambled eggs to a spicy steak prego roll is fair game. The menu caters just as well for your health-conscious aunt as it does your kind-of-bratty cousin, although we think everyone should have a bowl of Savva’s chicken pasta." - rianne shlebak

That means Savva’s chicken rigatoni: a comforting bowl of carbs with enough double cream to make Gino D’Acampo’s forehead veins pop. "Tashas is an all-day cafe in Battersea Power Station, and while you’ll get breakfast hits like a sweetcorn scramble (ask for it without the bacon) until 12pm, our favourite thing to get here is the pasta. Yes, even for brunch. The creamy halal chicken and mushroom rigatoni is satisfying enough to share between too. And the spicy steak prego—also halal—works just as well for brunch and is served all day. "Tashas works best as a very late lunch or early dinner spot. There are copious amounts of cushions to collapse on to, floor-to-ceiling windows which fill the space with natural light, and a selection of dip-forward mezze dishes like labneh and aleppo-charged prawn skewers.
